As Haley flew her lap, it seemed Karma was finding its way back to her. And it was at the hands of none other than her old friend Lavina. It wasn't the first time she had hit Haley with a nasty blatching. (No blaming, since Haley is doing this just herself) It was a foul that Haley became aware of too late, and by the time she saw the bludger flying straight at her, it was too late. She was hit with a force that not only sent hellish pain through her, but also knocked her off her broom. In pain, Haley had no breath to scream, curse or do anything else. She curled up still in the air and hugged her own body, hoping to ease the pain.

No one was there to Haley's rescue and so the redheaded Chaser landed full force on the ground and the world around her went black. For Haley, the game was over.

This definitely wasn't going as well as Pax had been hoping it would have gone. Jay had been unable to send Jorah off his broom, Haley had been sent flying from hers, and so had Hannah and Elena (though they were grateful Zoe had managed to save Elena at least). But they weren't gaining any points, so now Ravenclaw had quite a definite lead on them. It was frustrating to say the least.

And, on top of that, they couldn't hit a single bloody shot, cursing as Edward dodged their bludger. What had happened to them, they'd been great last game. Least Ethan landed a hit on Lavinia and sent her from her broom. With all that happening, they didn't even notice the bludger flying at them. Ah yes, another slam of the bludger to the head was exactly what they needed to make this day better.

And Elena seemed to be no closer to finding the snitch. Pax would seriously need to up the team's training sessions after this.

Ethan glared at Lavinia as she knocked out another one of his teammates. His team was down by 50 points.

He gritted his teeth and gripped his bat tightly. He took a deep breath and then let it out slowly before he sent a bludger flying towards her and was pleased to see it hit its target. The crowd erupted in cheers, and Ethan allowed himself a small smirk of satisfaction.

But his moment of satisfaction was short-lived as he saw Elena, his team's Seeker, get hit by a bludger as well. Zoe managed to save her in the nick of time, and Ethan felt a twinge of gratitude towards her.

Edward was still looking everywhere for the snitch but the small golden ball was nowhere to be seen. Then out of the blue, a bludger came flying towards him but he manged to dodge it. Phew! Thank god that didn't hit me! His heart still beating stronger, he was definitely distracted from any snitch-searching and looked around to watch a bit of the game. He cheered as he saw that Winnie was scoring and especially when he saw that they got another 50 points. Wow!
He gasped when Lavinia fell off her broom but thankfully got caught by Edme. He had not seen how everything happend but he saw that Gryffindor was missing two team members and looked down to see them lie on the ground. Ouch! That must hurt. Hopefully they are okay. One of them was his quill pal (@Hannah Blossom). They had never met in person before but he had recognised her name on the other team's roster and she had told him that she was also on the Quidditch team of her house. Edward was worried despite the fact that it was the other team but pushed the thoughts aside to concentrate on the game again. Surely, they got medical (or magical) treatment.
His job was still to find the snitch, so hopefully he could manage that before the other team.

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw

Their fifty-point lead had become a distant memory by now as Ravenclaw made excellent use of the unguarded goal posts. With two of their best players, @Haley Rose and @Hannah Blossom both knocked off their brooms, things were starting to looking dire. Their rapid, unscheduled landings looked anything but graceful and he could only hope he'd be spared the same fate. "Wish me luck," he muttered at his fellow bench-warmers @Jay Divus, @Matthew Robertson before he swung his legs over his broom and kicked off. He barely had to glance at Pax to know what his captain wanted from him. Even on his best day he could not hope to beat the likes of @Lavina Cloven and @Winnie Harper, not on this broom least of all, and not when they had years of experience on him. Still, there were other ways he could contribute and maybe turn this growing disaster back around.

The game was over for Hannah, she had been knocked of her broom. She knew that people were thinking about her. But, that wasn't the worst part @Haley Rose had also been knocked of her broom. Her very own teammate.

@Elena Jangleton was sharing a broom with @Zoe Pearthel, so they're team could win the game if they found the snitch.

Hannah looked at Haley with a sarcastic grin, that said nothing more than "Me too". The girl didn't feel hurt, but game over for her. She hoped she could still watch the match. Things were starting to look dreadful.

So far so good, and by that she meant she had at least not fallen off her broom. After their match with Durmstrang... That was a bonus. There was no handsome stranger to save her this time. If she could continue to focus-- yes! She managed to score, her heart hammering against her chest. The pure adrenaline helping her to score again and again.

Lavinia rarely felt bad after blatching someone off their broom. The one prior case was when she knocked her friend Haley off her broom. In recent years they had grown farther apart, by Lavinia’s doing mainly, but there was still a sting when Lavinia learned she was blatching her again. Trying to make it quick, Lavinia blatched Haley off her broom without much thought to who would see. Groaning upon hearing the whistle alerting her to take a penalty lap, Lavinia realized it was a form of karma for her actions. However, Lavinia was so in a mind of her own that she didn’t see the bludger coming after her until it was too late. Luckily Edme was there to catch her, but Lavinia doubted she’d be able to succeed in another move again this game.
