@Bernard WayeA mythical creature, a symbol for purity, innocence and power or a legendary animal that looks like a horse with a single horn on its forehead. All these things were sentences written in several books. Since Beatrice was able to meet a Unicorn because of their new Care of Magical Creatures Professor Sabine Blumenthal, she was basically obsessed with learning more about those creatures. Since she was a child, she had always wanted to see one and now the dream had come true. But she hadn't just seen them, she had touched and pet one of them. His name was Montgomery and Beatrice still longed for the feeling of his soft fur underneath her fingers. It had been a truly magical experience and Beatrice had tried to mesmerize every single detail about them. She wanted to paint them and have a visual memory of how lovely those creatures were.
Now she was standing in the middle of the Ballroom. Of course Hogwarts had it's own Ballroom and this was the first time that Beatrice was in here. It was a magical place and the perfect atmosphere to paint or draw or just read. Of course the room was big but Beatrice didn't feel small in it. The large windows let in the perfect light and although it was a little grey outside, it seemed colorful and enchanted in this room. Beatrice had set up everything she needed and even brought a planket and a couple pillows to sit on. The Canvas was leaned against a stack of books and Beatrice was just finishing up the sketch in her Journal to remember a few details.
Then she started to paint. Beatrice's brush flowed over the canvas with every motion she made. The background was the first thing she got to. Soon the Canvas was filled with a mix of greens and browns. Beatrice had choosen to draw the Unicorns in the woods. As always, an unknown tune left her lips in a hum and Beatrice was lost in a trance. She just painted, there was no space to pay attention to anything else. Her white pants may have not been the best choice but it just matched so well with the soft pink long sleeve shirt and the white Converse that she currently did not care about any paint stains. That would be a problem for later and not now. With every stroke, the picture formed more and more into what she wanted it to be. What Beatrice did not know, was that a certain someone would soon enter the room.

It hadn't been that long, since I had met her, but the image of her plagued my mind like the loss of a loved one. Every night I found her in my thoughts, the thought of her made my heart beat a little faster. But why? Why did I feel this way for this girl? What possible reason did she give so that I wished of holding her hand? Her sweet humming haunted all my dreams, but why? I found myself with my head in the clouds, which got me in trouble a couple times in class. I had met her at a special event, which we could meet Unicorns. It had been an amazing experience where I was able to meet my favorite creature, there had been three of these lovely creatures... Until one more had joined, though she didn't have golden hooves and a horn, but long dark hair and eyes like the atlantic.... Her name Beatrice Dupont... I shook my head once again pushing her out of my thoughts, I suddenly realized that I had been walking aimlessly across the castle of Hogwarts. I stopped myself realizing I had looked like I had been a dream-state of mind, walking as if the ground were clouds and I was surrounded by glowing stars. Luckily it was weekend so the halls weren't overpopulated with students trying to get to their classes, and it was a more calming, sweet day. I took a glance at the windows, the sky was a swirling hue of grey and blue, which made me smile slightly I didn't have to worry at all about sunburn today. Suddenly, like a siren's call I heard a voice like an angel drift across the halls, though they weren't words but a sweet hum. I followed the small sound across the hallways til I made it to a entrance of a grand room, where I could heard voice drifting from. For a second I thought I recognized the hum, but quickly dismissed it, was this all part of my imaginings again? I opened the door to see a dainty silhouette standing in the center of the room. Like a bird dancing gracefully in the sky her hand and brush flicked and left unique streaks that created a lovely forest background. I was left in awe by the beautiful painting, her skin and painting glew from the small streams of lights that filtered through the lovely large windows that stood strong within the room. I felt my face get hot as I watched the girl, I had met not so long ago painting her soul onto a canvas.
"It's lovely," I said, as my voice seemed to sweep across the room. I blushed awkwardly, was I disrupting her peace? I quickly panicked, regretting my decision.
"Ah sawhry, I'll go," I said sheepishly in my strong new Jersey accent turning away slowly avoiding eye contact. "Uh, Sawhry fawh budderin' yuh..."
"Forget about the dirty looks. The photographs your boyfriend took. You said you read me like a book. But the pages all are torn and frayed!"

@Bernard WayeUser is no longer on the site, Thread finished and closed.Beatrice was just getting done with the background when a voice struck her like lightning. Her whole body flinched and she turned around fastly. Bernard was standing at the Entrance of the ballroom. Lovely, that is what he had said. Had he been talking about the painting. Beatrice felt quite awkward with the boy precent. She held her brush in a rather uncomfortable way as she put her weight from one leg to the other. Why was he here? Beatrice cleared her throat and looked around the room. He was still avoiding eye contact. Then he apologized saying he would go and something Beatrice didn't understand. Budderin you was what he had said. Did he mean bothering?
»I would prefer it if you left. Thank you.« she said. Bernard was in fact disturbing her peace and quiet. He glanced at her awkwardly before opening the big entrance doors that cut the ballroom off from the halls and then he left. Clearing her throat and mind at the same time, Beatrice turned back around. After a few minutes she continued to paint. Beatrice did not leave the ballroom until the late afternoon. After cleaning up the mess that she had made while painting, she stuck the now dry painting under her arm and pulled the bag she had with her over her shoulder. She looked around the ballroom one last time before opening the doors and leaving the big room. Her hums carried through the halls with her steps. Beatrice went to her dorm and leaned the painting against a wall on her side, hoping the sudden Unicorns wouldn't bother Irina. Then she went to dinner, finishing the evening with soup and bread as well as a cup of tea. Before going to bed Beatrice watched the sunset from the Owlery where she also send a letter to her family. Then it was time to sleep, with last a look at the painting, Beatrice closed her eyes and fell asleep. What a perfect day.
