Well he was alive. Since their last game against Hufflepuff, this was something important to check in on once in a while, just to be sure. Wyatt pushed on in the race. All the Basilisks were really pushing for this win, Wyatt knew. It wouldn’t do to lose focus.

Starting off fast Percival kicked and flew into the air with everyone else. Pulling out his wand, he flung a spell over to Hunter which he managed to dodge. Grunting slightly, he continued flying down the track to try and catch up with everyone else. They couldn't let the others get too far ahead, else they'd never be able to catch them.

Sticks and stones can break opponents’ bones and words wouldn’t do much against them. So sticks and stones it was. A smooth rock hurled through the air, its aim true as it knocked into one of the Ravenclaw racers. These snakes wouldn’t go down without a fight, that’s for sure.

Ari had not managed to weave through the thorns like he'd hoped he would, so now he was bleeding through his clothes across his arms and legs. That would be a lot of fun to deal with later on.

And of course, he continued his probably now famous spree of tree hugging. Would he always struggle with navigating through trees? Maybe. But for now, the answer would remain "yes". He wouldn't let that stop him though. There was still a lot of race left, and a lot of obstacles left to face.

Slytherin was back to their tactics of attack and hope to end Ravenclaw, although one of them was actually fighting back. Spells were being thrown in all directions along with whatever object June was able to find in her vicinity. Even with all of the commotion suddenly happening at once, Logan was still able to notice the Immobulus spell being cast. "I saw that Wyatt!" she called out. Even though the spell had missed, she would probably lose her job if she had seen the spell being cast and had not done anything about it.

Logan thought that Slytherin would be fine with making their way through the narrow passages, most of them were running around the dungeons of the school all day anyway so they should have been able to see the walls, right. Apparently Logan was wrong though, as all of them managed to hit the wall at some point, receiving scrapes and bruises as they went.

Making the students fly through a waterfall in the middle of winter was probably not the greatest idea and Logan was curious as to how many of the students would be headed to the hospital wing after this race for not only their wounds but for the cold they were bound to end up getting. One Slytherin managed to get knocked off of their broom from the strength of the waterfall and land in the water below. Great, they got to sit in the cold water even longer.

Flying through trees in dangerous, please do not try it at home unless you would like to run into something. Apparently the combination of having to previously fly through a waterfall had caused everyone to lose some of their eyesight because quite a few people ended up running into trees, some of them running into multiple of them. Things were definitely getting interesting.

Maybe if the racers came down a little bit they would not have to deal with the heavy winds. It did not help that they were in an open field either, allowing for the wind to be unblocked and howling in their ears. The wind was no match for the racers though as they easily made their way through it with no issue.

Snow is not uncommon in February, so the fact that snow was falling in the open field was no surprise. It was a rather heavy snow, causing some racers to become extremely cold if they were not careful. Two of the racers made it through the snow with no issue, apparently used to the cold snow of winter, but the third racer was apparently not as used to it as the others as she seemed to shiver from the cold.

The sun had already risen higher since the race started, its rays now reflecting off of the snow in areas and causing temporary blindness if you were not able to squint through it. Apparently the bright light was no match for the first Ravenclaw racer as she quickly made her way through it with no issue.

Whose idea was it to include the giant fire-breathing lizard chicken in the race. There were probably more dangerous things that could have been included, but Logan had some concerns on this one. The first racer to reach it did not even notice it at first, which apparently angered the creature greatly, as the racer definitely notice it when it started to attack them.

Clair groaned, first water and now more snow. It was already cold enough for snow to be coming from the sky, she was going to be a ice cube by the end of this, hopefully she could at least get through the race before becoming a ice cube!

"Come on," Bloom urged herself. She was not going to be in last place this time. Oh no. She was going to get towards the end no matter what it takes. Bloom's thumb caressed the bark of the tree that she was riding on. Bloom moved forward and started to fly by each unit. Only until the most recent did she realize that she did not see the Cockatrice, a fire-breathing lizard chicken. Bloom felt the scorching hot fire on her and winced at the pain. "Damn it!"

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

Colin couldn't help but shout for joy as he careened through the stony passage way, scraping against one side then the other! "WHOA! OOF! That's gonna leave a mark!" He could smell the blood from several scrapes. You'd think all the time running through the dungeons would help his racing skills. You'd be wrong!

"Whoa, that was rouuugh! YOOOOW! Cold shower!" he blasted right through the waterfall, shaking his head like a happy dog that had just been for a swim! "Oh crud! Vale!" he called down to his mate. "Enjoy yer swim lassie!"

He probably should have looked up a moment sooner because he and the other racers around him flew headlong into a forest! SNAP! CRACK! The sounds of twigs breaking and leaves being shorn from their branches, snagging on clothing and hair alike were all around him. "Uff! Cr---Ow!" Colin was no stranger to flying into trees, but fortunately he made it through in fewer than two pieces!

He found himself next to a Ravenclaw boy, Ari. He was glad that his hair was done up in braids or the fierce gale force winds might have swept him all the way to Inverness! "Bit blustery, eh lad?" he called over as they navigated the open field over which the winds blew.

Harper sighed as she had gotten back on her broom. But she didn't let this shake her. She had fallen off before. She would just get right back to the race. She smiled and nodded to herself, as an attempt to pump herself up.

"You've got this Harper. You got this. Don't let this ruin the race for you. Keep going." She mumbled to herself. She tried to maintain motivation because it was the primary aspect that would allow her to continue on.

Another object landed on Hunter, bludgeoning him hard and causing a bit of wind to get blown out of him. The bloody ice cold weather was a bother enough, but now he had to deal with the annoying snakes as well. Hunter just needed to focus and push himself further, to create distance so they would have no choice but to stop choosing him as a target. To focus and set his mind, to calm his nerves as the endless hell of Broom Racing over took him. He tried to keep a straight face, but then howling winds of endless winter only made his teeth chatter and echo through the day.
