Only one spell would hit a player this round, but it was a brutal one, right as Dmitri weakened the Nebulus over them, he would get a hard blindfold slapped over his eyes, doesn't look like an easy one to peel off, that one.
Everything else, unsurprisingly considering the dense fog that lay across the entire stage, would miss or fail in one way or another.

Dmitri sighed. Bugger, he thought as he felt the blindfold attach tightly around his eyes and his wand fly out his fingers. He didn't even get to see if his spell or Opeila's hit any of their targets.
All he knew was that at this point in time, his spells were out of his grasp.
No matter. He could dogwalk both opponents handcuffed, blindfolded, paralyzed, or incapacitated.
"Winters, we both know you cannot win this duel by yourself. Assistance?"

Alan was quite happy with himself. A feeling of pride overwhelmed him for mere moments as he stared at the blindfold that conjured itself around Dmitri's head and would obstruct his vision. It didn't even look loose and perhaps a bit bothersome to take off. Evelynn also managed to do quite well with her disarming charm, causing Alan to grin.

Yeah, that would have been amazing. For the first time in... ages really!... Opeila failed to cast a spell. She stared at her wand for a moment. Where had she gone wrong now?
Her own failure had caught her by surprise so much that she did not even notice right away that Dmitri was in even bigger trouble. His wand rolled away on the floor at the same time as a blindfold slapped itself over his eyes. As loyal as Opeila was to her house and her team, she couldn't stop herself from chuckling at the sight.
"Right. Only I will not win on my own, Jones, you can do this blind and wandless." She shook her head. "Who can't carry his own weight now?"

She still may not have been able to see much of the duelling stage, but Evelynn was at least gaining a sense of direction. Voices from ahead allowed her to vaguely pinpoint the serpents' positions and from where spells were likely to be slung. Instinct served her well in that regard. Twice on the incantation of an opposing ventus, she had the sense to move her position. Reward would be felt with the gentle rustling of her school robes, jostled by the current of air passing harmlessly by. Breath came easier to her then, nerves starting to fade in favour of focused concentration. The duel was far from over, and it was clear they would get little traction if they didn't try to regain some control.
As quickly as the Winters and Jones had sent out their spells, Evelynn returned fire with her own, this time aiming for the more senior of the pair. It had worked to shred her of her confidence and aptitude, and so she elected to return the favour. There was no way to know for certain whether her aim had held true, not through the fog. At least not until she heard the boy's call for assistance. The lioness wouldn't let that small little victory get to her head, but it did serve to bolster her confidence, if only a bit. It wouldn't last long, though, she knew. She and Vanes would have to make the most out of the time they'd bought.

While the last round was quite exciting, at least in dels eyes since she isn't the biggest fan of the Slytherins (mainly Dmitri, she has no problem with Opeila). This one was less so, despite being very strongly blindfolded, and watching Pei attempt to yank the blindfold off, to no avail, as he ducked down to grab his wand off the ground, Opeila tripped him at the last moment, making the Petrificus Totalus fly over his head. For reference, pei told me to do that ooc.
Alan wasn't so much in the action though, getting the view of Dmitri flopping onto the ground, he was too distracted to get the aim right on his spell, missing Opeila by a very small margin.
Del couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Dmitri on the ground.

Embarrassing though it was, Dmitri had no choice but to get on his hands and knees and reach blindly all around him while on the ground. It probably was a sorry sight unfit for a dueling prodigy such as himself, but a boy's got to do what a boy's got to do.
"God-freaking-damn it!" He'd suddenly exclaim as he'd feel not only a tugging around his eyes but a kick on his legs, causing him to land flat on his chest on the dusty dueling club floor. "Winters, you only had one job!"
Lucky for him, though, his little fall managed to lay him straight on top of his missing wand.
All's well that ends well.

The obfuscating fog continued to swirl and dance about the participants, transforming the opponents into little more than hints of shadows that so easily deceived the sight. At the very least, the snakes were quite the chattery duo, their forked tongues slinging salted phrases at each other just as often as the lions, which helped to pinpoint their positions. In a flash, Evelynn sent a Body-binding Curse flying towards her senior. She'd even thought she'd managed to land it given the heavy, vibrating thud of his body hitting the floor.
The triumphant smirk that had begun to curl her lips was wiped clean, however, the moment he had talked. If he could speak, that meant he wasn't bound. A click of her tongue against the back of her teeth accompanied the furrow of her brow, frustration clear to nobody through the veil of haze, but prevalent none-the-less. No matter. They still had time, and at least both she and Vanes were standing well upon their feet.

This round proved to be rather concerning and without much excitement at all. If anything, this was all quite bothersome and their time was running out rather quickly. They would have to ensure that they were victorious. Alan had heard that Dmitri thus far was undefeated and the idea of being the first to defeat him was exciting. Then again, Dmitri had usually used first years for target practice so perhaps it was actually laughable how smug he seemed to be about it.

Was he for real?
Only a few seconds ago Dmitri had asked her for help, only to start moving around, seemingly trying to find his wand. Blind. The young girl would try to get behind him to reach the knot of the blindfold and when she finally managed to grab it, she would tug on it once, hard. "Hold still, will you?"
Well, Vanes knew his spells for sure, that blindfold sat tight. Opeila tried to pull the knot loose, but not successful just yet. Again she would pull on it, a clear wordless request to get down a little so she could see better what she was doing.
When she saw the beam of light coming right at Dmitri, she hesitated for a split second. It would serve him right to be thrown to the ground again, a bit of humbling would surely not harm the young man, but maybe... Maybe that could also be achieved without a disadvantage to herself.
Without thinking any more, Opeila kicked Dmitri hard against the back of his knee, effectively making the sixth year fall and evade the spell. Immediately she pressed the back of her hand against her mouth to stop herself from laughing out loud and crouched next to him instead. "Right, Jones, apologies. I wasn't aware you preferred to be blind, disarmed and unable to move, will keep that in mind next time. Also-" Opeila grabbed the wand that he had half landed on and pulled it out under him.
She would grab his right hand and close it around the wand, teasingly patting the back of his hand twice. "You're welcome." Oh yes, even with a blindfold on, she would be surprised if Dmitri could not hear the smirk in her voice.
