This is a nice day, sunny and cozy. Cassie wanders n the library, looking for a good book to read. Running her fingers through the books, none of them actually seems to attract her. If only she can have a friend to chat with... She rested her fingers on a book named Hogwarts: a History. Slowly, she took it off the shelves and walks toward a desk. She sat down beside the windows and opened the book slowly.
Hmm... nice book, I need to take some notes. Taking out some pieces of parchment and her quill, she started to make notes. She turns page after page and writes faster and faster. Finally, she finished reading a chapter. She looked up, the sunshine lights her desk and parchment. She stood up and stretched her body.
How desperately she wants a friend, or perhaps friends to have fun together! They can play together, study together... how wonderful it'll be! A feeling of loneliness came to her.
In her opinion, the only way to get rid of this feeling is to study and read and then study again. So, she goes back into reading. She surely learns a lot from it and soon immersed herself in reading...

It was another Saturday, Feb 18th, and the temperature was quite nice and sunny. Since the Valentine`s Day had just passed, Rita had participated in a couple of errands and balls with the Valentine theme, and when this sunny Saturday finally came, Rita just wanted to go to somewhere just to chill out and possibly have a casual chat with someone. The Second Year Hufflepuff beater then decided to go to the library to sink herself into the books and try to catch up the homework she was owing due to participating in those Valentine themed activities these days. Anyway, after she made that decision, without further thinking, she picked up her bag with some textbooks as well as her quill and parchment and walked to the school library from her cozy plant palace dorm.
After arriving at the school library, Rita found out the library was quite crowded with students and professors reading and studying, so the black-haired Hufflepuff beater decided to sit down beside a girl with pretty yellow hair with curls and blue eyes, who was reading a book quietly, to finish her homework first. Of course, the Second Year Hufflepuff beater would ask the other girl first before the black-haired first string beater sat up.
"Excuse me, could I sit here next to you please? The school library is quite crowded, and it is difficult to find a seat to finish my homework. My name is Rita by the way, Second Year Hufflepuff, first-string beater. I don`t think I`ve ever met you before, so your name is ..., if I may ask?" The Second Year Hufflepuff beater asked the yellow-haired and blue-eyed girl politely with a friendly smile, then quickly sat down beside the girl to finish her homework before it was too late to submit them. The Second Year Hufflepuff beater really did not want to get into trouble with the professor and her parents, so she knew she must finish her homework even though she did not really want to do them at times.

Cassie looked up at that girl talking to her. This girl with black hair is willing to sit with her. 'Of course, I'm happy to sit with you!' she said, 'my name is Cassie, I am a Ravenclaw first year. I signed up for Quidditch too! I longed to be a beater, but I still didn't get to be first string.' Slowly, she looked carefully at this girl. Pale skin and glasses, looks very intelligent indeed. Perhaps a future friend! She has to thank the people in the library, if they don't take all the other seats, who will come sit with her?
'You're doing homework? Is second year hard, may I ask?' she is a bit nervous about future years, she already finds Transfiguration hard, and it broke the wish she had before hogwarts that she wants to get an O for every single homework. 'I do not have much homework now. I am reading Hogwarts: a History. If you need a quiet environment for doing your homework, I'll keep reading and not disturb you.' actually, she is not that good at making friends, at least she thinks so herself. To Rita`s delight, the other girl seemed really happy that the Second Year Hufflepuff beater came to sit by her side. The yellow-haired and blue-eyed girl then introduced herself as Cassie, a first year Ravenclaw, also signed up as a Quidditch player. Cassie then asked her about homework and appeared to be quite nice by saying that if the Second Year Hufflepuff wanted a quiet environment to finish her homework. "Oh, Cassie seems to be somewhat nice. Maybe we can be friends later, but let me finish my homework first, I really want to keep my E-average, and not disappoint my parents and the professors." The Second Year Hufflepuff beater thought while burying her head to the homework.
"Thanks for allowing me to sit beside you, and nice to meet you, Cassie." The Second Year Hufflepuff beater finally lifted her head slightly to speak a few words, before burying her head into the homework again, "Well, Second Year is kind of hard I would say, definitely harder than first year so I have to work hard to keep my average high. I am sort of distracted by the Valentine themed activities these days, so I decide to finish some homework today to keep up with my study. Ok, homework time for me, so no more chatters, OK?"
Rita was not sure if she would sound mean or not, but at this time, the Second Year Hufflepuff with short straight black hair really wanted to focus on her homework and would not want to be distracted by some meaningless casual chats, although the black haired Hufflepuff beater had to admit she found this kind of meaningless chats a pleasure and a great way to pass time during normal situation, but just not times when the first-string beater wanted to focus on her homework and catch with her studies to maintain her E-average grade. If the other yellow-haired Ravenclaw girl wanted to chat with the Hufflepuff beater at this particular time, then the poor Ravenclaw have to wait until the Second Year Hufflepuff had finished her homework, then studying was the priority compared with casual chats.

Marina had finally finished all of her homework and she decided to go to the library to find a book to read. Hogwarts didn’t have much for entertainment and Marina didn’t have any friends. So, to pass time Marina had decided to read through fifty library books before summer break–she had read six so far. The last book she read had been about different magical animals. Marina decided to expand her knowledge on one of the animals she had learned about in the book she had just finished.
After some time of debating which to book to check out Marina decided to take all three of the ones she had been deciding between. The books she had chosen were about dementors, unicorns, and magical pets. Marina hoped the pet one would help her understand her pet rat Mochi better.
Marina decided she would read in the library today, but before she began reading Marina left the library to get Mochi, with the unicorn book and dementor book. She set the pet book down on the edge of a bench–she would read it first.
About fifteen minutes later Marina came back to the library with Mochi. She saw two girls sitting right next to her book. They looked like friends, Marina missed having friends. She had stopped talking to her muggle friends when she started Hogwarts, and Marina hadn’t made any friends since she had been at the magic school. Marina remembered how she had spent her first year at Hogwarts in self pity, but she had changed since then and practically accepted that her entire friend group was a rat.
One of the girls was talking (she sounded rather annoyed). Marina didn’t want to get involved in anyone else's drama, but she really wanted her book. ”Could I please have my book?” Marina asked while pointing to the pet book.

This girl with short black hair is indeed in a rush. She is talking quickly and she immediately immersed herself in reading. Second Year must be difficult, she said to herself, no wonder she is in a rush!
Not wanting to disturb the girl, Cassie continues reading.
'Hi, can I take my book back?' Cassie looks up, it's a pretty Gryffindor girl with black hair. 'Of course,' Cassie says, 'here you are!' She gives the book to that girl.
The girl looks like a second or third year. She looks like someone to make friends with. 'Come, sit with us!' Cassie says while pointing to an empty seat opposite of hers.
'Hi, I am Cassie Jiang, a first year Ravenclaw. This is Rita, a second year Hufflepuff Quidditch player. I am reading Hogwarts: A History and Rita is doing her homework. Why not read your book together so we won't disturb Rita? By the way, what's your name?'
Cassie looks at Rita, hoping their talk won't disturb her.
She goes back to reading her book. She is now in the fourth chapter. She had made pages of notes. Hufflepuff, Gryffindor and herself a Ravenclaw... if only a Slytherin girl can come!

────── date. 18 feb. 23 ─ outfit ─ @Cassia Jiang, @Rita Su, @Marina Oriel Elira was sitting in the library, peacefully doing her potions homework. She knew that the library was a good place to get away from rowdy people in life, so this spot at school had become one of her favourites. Sometimes she thought that people, generally, were too much. Elira was sick of massive gatherings 24/7 to which her parents constantly dragged her to, so now preffered some solitude over social interaction.
Unfortunately for her, Elira's silence of the mind was disturbed and cut short by some female students, who looked about the same age as her, maybe a year older. She tried blocking their constant chatter out, but to no avail: she ended up sighing in annoyance and walking over to the table, where three girls sat: one with dark long hair, the other with also dark hair, but cropped, and the last one, a blonde girl who Elira knew by instinct started this whole commotion in the first place.
"Will you please, be quiet?! This is a library. And frankly enough im sick of people, so thats why i came here. Please do try to respect other people, its the least you could do." Elira said calmly, a twinge of bluntness to her tone. She didnt want to sound mean, but its common human decency to be quiet in a library. Everyone knows that.225/200
OOC: dont take anything El says to heart, she can be blunt towards strangers sometimes.

Cassie looks up from her book and saw a Slytherin girl with black hair standing near the desk. 'Hello, sorry for not being quiet. This girl is coming to fetch her book and she was just explaining everything.' Cassie says as she pointed at that girl.
Well, well, a Slytherin girl! 'Now we have one girl from each house!' she said happily but quietly. 'Can we be friends? You know, I have a habit of loving things which comes in a set. Like us, one girl from each house! I am Cassie Jiang, a first year Ravenclaw. Also, I suppose we should do our things now, and introduce ourselves later, for we have Rita,' she pointed at the Hufflepuff girl 'doing her homework.' She is talking quickly and quietly, to not disturb others. She stands up and hold out her hand to shake that girl's hand.
Well, that girl seems a bit angry for their talking, so she's trying her best to calm her down.
Meanwhile, Cassie is imagining their friendship--going around Hogwarts together, laughing together, helping each other, making mischief together... how wonderful it will be! Then she won't be lonely for at least 6 years! Perhaps some best friends here...

Rita was just keeping her head down to focus on her homework when two other girls coming, but the Second Year Hufflepuff overheard two other girls, one from Gryffindor and the other from Slytherin probably, and Cassie introducing herself and the Second Year Hufflepuff beater to the other two girls. "I really need to finish this homework before I talk to the other girls, cos this work needed to be finished and handed in next week and I really don`t want to be late and upset the professors and my parents. I am nearly finished, and you can do this, Rita, just keep yourself concentrated on the work, and you are doing good!" The Second Year Hufflepuff beater whispered to herself while continue to concentrate on her homework.
After a decent amount of time and effort, the difficult and somewhat dreadful homework was finally finished. Rita finally lifted her head and said to the other three girls from each of the other three houses in a low noise to prevent them from getting too annoyed, "Okay, I finally finished my homework! So, what are you three talking about while I am doing my homework? By the way, as Cassie probably had told you, my name is Rita, Second Year Hufflepuff, first-string beater. Nice to meet the three of you, and is all of you planning to read a book?" After introducing herself to the other three in a low voice, Rita showed a friendly smile to the group, hoping they did not mind her enthusiasm to someone new, especially one from each house.

'You finished your homework? Great! This is a Gryffindor girl, who is coming back to fetch her books and this is a Slytherin girl, who is here to ask us to be quiet.' She tries to sound friendly and introduces them. 'Anyway, let me introduce myself as quietly as possible. I am Cassie Jiang, a Ravenclaw first year. Through out my months in Hogwarts, I haven't got real friends yet. I stay in the library usually, hoping to find some friends. Today, I met Rita, and two of you. I mean, one girl from each house... such a coincidence. Perhaps this means we should be friends? Anyway, let's finish our work no matter it's reading or doing homework. Then, perhaps we can have a longer and better chat, right?'
Some of them do not sound friendly, actually, but this is understandable, someone disturbing them d homework, someone 'disobeying' the library rules, this can sound annoying. But as a bit chatty person, Cassie just can't stop herself. All she can do is to sound friendly and perhaps let others sound friendly and want to make friends with her too.
Anyway, she has to go back to her reading for some of them seems to be busy right now. Rita finished her work, perhaps they can chat...
