Cynthia should have been elated to be going home. But, alas, she was not. She did enjoy her time at home much, with an often absent father. He was loving and kind, and that only made his absence more difficult to handle. And, of course, with a strict and demanding mother — one that Cynthia seemed to never please. Why please her? She thought, scowling. Did she even deserve it? Her mother had promised to come apparate her back home. She cancelled at the last minute. And then, of course, was the numerous balls she would be attending. Sure, she was a bit excited by them… but tired too. However, she was happy that for once that she was hosting her own ball, not attending another person’s. Well, yes, she would be attending three other balls… two, she was still thinking about the wisdom ball.
Cynthia heaved a great sigh… goodbye Hogwarts! She had friends here, she did not at home. She once did, but Sophie was gone. Forever. There was no chance they could be friends, ever again. Sophie, Sophie. She had ought to ride back home with friends, but picked an empty compartment instead. She needed time to read, be alone, to think. But, alas, fate would not allow that. And someone would come in and sit with her.

It was finally Dec 23rd, the day when Rita could finally come back home from Hogwarts after spending 4 months at school. Well, life at Hogwarts was quite colorful despite being somewhat stressful due to the quite heavy schoolwork, Quidditch training, and participating in all sorts of activities and events, ranging from casual chats between friends, numerous club activities, to the occasional errands of different themes and the chaotic but fun fall ball, but boarding at Hogwarts in Scotland, she just could not help to think about her little muggle family of four in London. The family feasts, the days out, the movie nights, the family walks, there were the things she was really missing during her time in Hogwarts. Now, the time for her to go back home had finally come. The Second Year Hufflepuff would definitely miss Hogwarts during her two weeks of stay, but what was better than spending time with the dearest ones at home? "After all, the cliche definitely had some wisdom in it, east or west, home is best." The black-haired Hufflepuff beater thought when she stepped on the train back home.
Unfortunately, Rita found out nearly all of the compartments were occupied by loads of students coming back home from Hogwarts when she stepped on the already crowded Hogwarts express, and she had decided to go to a somewhat empty compartment and sat beside a girl with short light brown hair wearing Ravenclaw robes. "I`m sorry to disturb you. May I sit beside you if you don`t really mind? It seems that the train is packed with students, and it was difficult to find spare seats." The Second Year Hufflepuff asked the Ravenclaw politely. Then she began to think out the family dinner when she came back home, hopefully with a lot of her favorite dishes. She knew she was crazy about food, and that was why she was slightly overweight, but still.

Anna was excited and sad at the same time. She was excited to finally see her parents, she missed them dearly. Communication over letters was not enough for the young Ravenclaw. But she was also kind of sad that she was leaving Hogwarts, she got used to the magical castle and all of the friends she made there. She never had so many friends, she never had any real friends before. She was used to being alone with her family, but it was sometimes lonely not having anyone her age to talk to, and have fun with." " - speaking

As she said goodbye to all her friends she wasn’t as early as she hoped she would be. Walking into the station she noticed that the train was almost ready to depart. Speeding up she climbed aboard and went in search for an emptier compartment. She found one with two girls, one from Ravenclaw and one from Hufflepuff. She smiled brightly and entered the compartment. “Hello, I hope you don’t mind me joining. The rest of the train is quite full”, she heaved her suitcase to the overhead compartment and sat down next to the Ravenclaw girl with light brown hair. She seemed familiar so Anna figured she must’ve seen her around the common room. “My name is Anna Blackrose. Nice to meet you both”, she decided to properly introduce herself.

Christmas is Ethan's favorite season of the year. He adores every aspect of it, including the traditions and tales that are exchanged among family members as well as the thrill and anticipation building up to the big day. Of course, he also likes the gifts! Christmas is a special day when friends and family join together to celebrate. Happiness, love, and joy are in the air.
This year, he is especially excited to share his tales of adventure from his time at Hogwarts. His family will be spellbound by his stories of flying broomsticks, attending classes in potions and charms, and making new friends.
For Ethan, there is nothing better than being home with the people he loves and feeling that happiness and contentment.
The train was filled with the bustle of people eager to head home for the holidays. He weaved through the crowd, his suitcase bumping against his leg as he went. His heart was pounding with excitement as he anticipated being home with his family. The smells of different colognes and perfumes filled the air, along with the soft murmur of conversation, punctuated by the occasional burst of laughter. The warm atmosphere was a far cry from the cold, sterile environment, and he couldn't help but feel his spirits lift as he thought of the holidays.
Making his way over to the compartment with three girls inside. “Hey, guys! mind if I join you?” he asked. Ethan recognized one of them from his previous quidditch match. “Oh! Rita, right?” he said, smiling.

Asher was quite happy that he was finally going to see his parents, while Hogwarts was definitely a better environment for him from back home, there was one thing it couldn't offer him. His family. He was finally going to see them for the holiday.
It felt like he had spent the longest time ever away from them, and while that was true, it felt longer than just a couple months. He missed his mom's cooking and the usual chess game he and his dad had, and also his little sister, that little girl was quite an angel, and also quite the devil. He chuckled a bit as he remembered how she would sneakily use her cuteness to persuade his mother into throwing her responsibility into him.
Well it was enough reminiscing about the past. He was going to make new memories with them during the holidays. He boarded the Hogwarts Express and went through the compartments searching for an empty one, all of them were filled to the brim with students going back for the holidays, Asher was reminded with the first time he had came to Hogwarts. The train was in a similar state that day.
Finally after a long search he found a relatively less crowded compartment that had three girls and a boy sitting in them. Asher decided that this was the best compartment he would get and that he would greet them. "Hey, do you mind if I sit here? There doesn't seem to be any compartments I could sit in other than this one." he paused for a second before continuing "I am Asher Blackjack by the way."
Life is a cup of water, you either look at the empty part or the full part.

Cynthia’s head snapped up as someone entered. She had hoped for a quiet ride alone. Well, obviously not. The girl was wearing Hufflepuff robes and seemed Aisian, with black hair and eyes. She asked to sit down and Cynthia allowed it. She hadn’t introduced herself yet, but Cynthia need not worry: most people would eventually. Cynthia decided not to press right now and there would be no need to introduce herself either, as she would do it soon.
She was surprised, however, when another girl, a Ravenclaw too, entered the compartment. She had black hair too, but looked more British or European. She had just introduced Anna Blackrose. Anna was a common enough name, but Blackrose seemed like something beautiful yet a bit dangerous.
However, what the young duellist was not expecting was yet another student: a male Gryffindor. He looked vaguely familiar, but extremely vaguely. She was unsure who he was and she realized that if she was going to ask others to talk about themselves meant that Cynthia also needed to talk about herself: introduce herself. The boy knew Rita, but of course, many students knew each other.

Well, a short while after Rita obtained permission from the Ravenclaw girl, who later introduced herself as Cynthia, three people also arrived at the same compartment and asked to start down beside them. Two of them introduced themselves as Asher Blackjack and Anna Blackrose, both quite interesting-sounding names, and also kind of rhyme with each other, while the other one, a Gryffindor beater, if Rita remembered correctly, recognized the Hufflepuff first-string beater from the Quidditch match last October, which the badger`s team proudly won, although the black-haired beater herself actually did not contribute much since she was knocked down in the first round.
"Oh, it seems that a few more people had showed up! A little more people is completely fine, just not too many people. Anyway, nice to meet you, Asher and Anna! My name is Rita Su by the way, if you don`t know, Second Year Hufflepuff and first-string beater. And I believe you are Ethen from the lion`s team we played against in the Quidditch match last October? Sorry for letting your housemates to feel disappointed about the results, I have to acknowledge the lions are also a very strong team, and it is great playing against your team! The Hufflepuff then decided to try to start a little chat with the group of new people, "So, how does everyone feel about going home? I am actually quite excited to spend the holiday with my family, though I will definitely miss Hogwarts with my friends and all those fascinating activities!" The Second year Hufflepuff with short straight black hair then showed the rest of the group a friendly smile, hoping her attempt to start the conversation would not upset anyone from their small group of 5, at least that was what she thought.

Just as Anna sat down, in the compartment entered a Gryffindor boy, he recognized one of the girls, a Hufflepuff who he called Rita. Anna smiled at him, and soon enough another boy walked in.
He was also a Gryffindor and he introduced himself as Asher Blakjack. Anna smiled at him as well as doing a little wave. ‘We have a similar name’, Anna thought and took a closer look at the boy. He had black hair and hazel eyes, they could definitely pass as cousins.
The girl with light brown hair introduced herself nervously, as Cynthia. Anna now knew everyone’s name except the first Gryffindor boy. And as Rita went into a lengthy introduction and discussion of a Quidditch match, she revealed his name to be Ethan. Anna felt she should introduce herself again. “It’s nice to meet you all, I’m Anna Blackrose”, she smiled kindly.
Rita asked what everyone’s thoughts were of going home, it was a nice start to get the conversation going. “I actually feel the same”, Anna responded, “I missed my parents a lot, but I think I got used to Hogwarts and everyone in it. Now it feels kind of weird going home”. She chuckled a bit turning her attention to others and their answers.

Ethan smiled and nodded. “It's all good. Your team is really talented, It was a great match. We'll definitely be looking forward to the next match.” He puts his bag in the luggage rack and settles in for the long journey ahead.
The people around him all introduced themselves one by one, and so he did the same. “It was a pleasure to meet all of you,” he said. “I'm Ethan Smith.”
He looked around at the group of people he had just met and felt a sense of contentment. They all seemed like good, decent people, and he was happy to have made their acquaintance.
Rita tried to strike up a conversation, and Anna answered first. Ethan nodded in agreement. He too had grown used to the magic and excitement of Hogwarts. But he was looking forward to seeing his family again and spending some time relaxing at home.
“Well,” Ethan chimed in with a grin, “I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to get out of this place before the ghosts start haunting me and OOOHH!! the foods! I'm going to miss the foods..” He was going to miss the magical and exciting food at Hogwarts, but he was excited to be able to eat whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. No more set meal times or rationing. He was looking forward to being able to pig out all day.

Asher was glad that his intrusion was received well and that nobody seemed to mind him joining them in the compartment, he made his way in and stashed his trunk away and sat down in the compartment, the first to speak when he arrived was a girl who intoduced herself as Cynthia Beaufort then went silent, then another girl introduced herself as Rita Su, a second year Hufflepuff.
He smield a bit in confusion when one of the third girl sitting inside said that she and Asher have similar names, until she introduced herself as Anna Blackrose, which indeed sounds simliar to his name"We do share similar names", it was then that his fellow Gryffindor intoduced himself as Ethan Smith, it seemed like everyone here had pretty interesting names.
Asher listened with interest as Rita talked about the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor Quidditch match, apparently she and Ethan recognize each other from that. Asher liked Quidditch but wasnt skilled enough on a broom to make it to the team, besides he has his eyes on the dueling team, though whether he will make it to the rooster or not remains to be seen.
Rita then tried to strick up a conversation with everyone, with Anna being the first to reply followed by Ethan, so Asher followed through as well and replied to her. "I honestly miss my family, but leaving Hogwarys feels just as weird as it did leaving my family for the first time" he smiled a bit as he answered before continuing "Though Ethan is right, I will definitely miss the food". he chuckled a bit to himself as he thought about how his mother would react if he said that to her, now he still liked his mother's food more, but the variety of food offered at Hogwarts still couldn't be passed up.
