Valentine's Sweethearts

I loved Valentine's Day. It was my second favorite holiday next to Christmas, and for good reasons, too. It was all about love. And chocolate. It was the day before Valentine's Day, and I was excited. Unfortunately, I didn't have a lover to give it to, but that was alright! I could think of two people, Rita and Kayla. I knew them well, especially since we were all in the same house. I took a piece of paper and started to draw. I liked to draw, and I think I did okay, though I intentionally got water on it, to make it a sort of watercolor drawing...
I thought I did okay. The "love" part was only platonic, though. After all, love didn't always mean romance! After that, I started to compose the letters. I started with Rita's first. What should I say to a second year I've known for 5 months? Oh, well that was easy, you start with "Dear" in every letter, didn't you? I think that "Dear Rita" would be fitting. And writing from the bottom of your heart, that's another thing I should do, too. What's the point of a sentimental letter if you only write from your mind and not your heart? The answer? None. So that's exactly what I was going to try and do, though I think the books and movies make it really easy. Too easy. Because red ink was so much more sophisticated than regular, plain old black ink, that's what I used.
Dear Rita,
I remember, a month after I came to Hogwarts when I first saw you and Bailey and all those other girls in the lavatory. I was so different then(and not just because I had long hair and was 4'5), but I was desperate to make new friends wherever I went, haha. From not-so-careful observation, it seems that you are a very happy soul. In fact, you are one of the brightest, sunshiny-est souls I've met here! I like being around people who feel like sunshine, I think they're the best kinds of people to be around. You are definitely somebody who feels like sunshine. And, you definitely have the qualities of a Hufflepuff, haha! You're very fun to be around, and you're always so happy. I remember at the Unity meeting(that was a doozy), where even though you had said something that surprised me, your sincere apology was so genuine, and even though the aftermath of the whole fiasco still lingered, it's very hard to imagine that anybody there doesn't like you. In fact, I'm not sure there's a soul in this school who doesn't like you! Thank you for being a good friend, and continue being somebody who feels like sunshine to others! I've grown a lot over the past 5 months(mentally, not really physically, haha), and I know by now that the best kinds of people to be around are people like you. And now I know just how hard it is to write something from the bottom of my heart, how do they do it?
From, your friend, Aurora
PS I would enclose chocolates too, but the envelope's not big enough.
I reviewed the letter and drew a little heart next to "From, your friend, Aurora", folded it up, and put it in an envelope that I colored light red. I wrote "Rita Su" on the front in my best cursive and gold ink, licked the envelope(even though there was stuff I could use, this was much faster though), and put it to the side. Now it was time to write Kayla's. This one was a little harder. Again, I didn't use black ink, but for some reason, I found myself using a nice lilac color instead.
I wasn't surprised, Kayla herself seemed to be a sort of lilac color. Not that that was weird or anything, because hopefully, it wasn't, but that's just what I imagined. I kept forgetting how to properly start letters. You do start with "Dear Kayla" or whatever their name is, right?
Dear Kayla,
How does one write a letter? Where should it come from? Should it come from the mind, where the very surface of all our logic lies? The soul, where, um, whatever's in the soul lies? Or the heart, where all your feelings and emotions lie? This is Valentine's Day after all. Sorry if the beginning was a little too poetic for your taste, but I couldn't help it, haha. You may be asking, "Why am I receiving a letter from Aurora?" If you're not, that's fine too. I just wanted to tell you that you are a good friend. I love hanging out with you and everybody else, but you are such a great person to be around. You're very friendly and active, and I think that Hogwarts(and the world)could use more people like you. You are somebody who feels like sunshine, and your friendliness can make the world a better place! Thank you for being a friend travel down the road and back again, your heart is true, you're a pal and a confidante! Thank you so much for being a good friend, Kayla, I hope we get to know each other more!!!
You would be the biggest gift would be from me, and the card attached would say, thank you for being a friend!
From, your friend, Aurora
PS the lyrics are from an old muggle tv show that I liked to watch, haha.
Again, I drew a little heart next to “From, your friend, Aurora”. As soon as I finished with Kayla's letter(which admittedly was a little hard to write), I folded it up, licked it, sealed it closed, and wrote Kayla's name, "Kayla Realma", in my best cursive and pressed it down. I think I should deliver them in person, it would be more personal instead of just letting somebody do it. If that had happened, I would think that the sender didn't have the nerve to give it to me personally...and stick around while they were reading it.
I was excited about the Valentine's Ball. Twice I had gone to a ball alone, but I hoped that this would be different. It would really suck if I went alone, especially this time. My thoughts drifted back to when I first met my fellow Hufflepuffs, and I grinned as I prepared to deliver the two letters to their proper receivers. Hopefully, it wouldn't end up as a "return to sender" situation. Signed, sealed, and almost delivered!

ReducioWas the first time in her life she had ever thought about the Valentines Day as a day to celebrate. Usually her parents, uncle and aunt go out for dinner and Ree stays at home with her cousin Rita. It was always a funny evening, with popcorn, movies and with one or two pranks played on their babysitter! But this year things were different, Ree had made some friends at Hogwarts, friends that she cherishes and cares for, so she thought it would be nice to take the opportunity to thank them and to show them how much she cared for their friendship.
When the young Slytherin arrived to the Great Hall she noticed that all the long wooden tables, had all kinds of crafting materials so they could make their own gifts. Ree felt happy and pleased with it, she wanted to make something special. So first, she decided to make the little boxes where she would send the letters. She entered the room, circulating through the tables looking around, searching and picking the right materials for what she wanted to do. Ree noticed that she knew some of the students already there, @Rita Su was one of them, she seemed to be leaving the room, Irina almost raised her hand and called her, but she thought it was to late for the black-haired girl to see her and she didn't wanted to bother the Hufflepuff girl. She also recognized @Hanako Tone, but she wouldn't dare say a word to the older boy...not after they met in that morning after what happened at the Slytherin's boy's dorm and she felt like he probably wouldn't have a good impression of her...and to be honest that feeling could be mutual. But there was a blond-haired girl that she would always feel happy to see! "Hey Bai! How are you? Don't see you for so long!" Rina joyfully greeted her Ravenclaw friend, "Do you mind if I seat here next to you?" She asked her with a smile, putting the materials over the table and sitting next to @Bailey Glade.
The first box that she would make was for one of the most important people in her life. She was undoubtedly her best friend and trustful confident, @Beatrice Dupont. First, Rina made a template for the boxes on a piece of cardboard. Then she cut it out with a scissor. That mold, was going to be used to make all the boxes she planned to make. For Bea, she decided to make one with all the rainbow colors, because the beautiful and sweet dark-haired girl had always been there in her most darker and grey moments bringing so much happiness and color to her life.
Bea's box:

After Bea's box was made, Rina started to make another one. This time the main theme were apples! And obviously, her recipient was none other than @Jannette Applebottom! Even if they had their disagreements from time to time, Janny was one of Ree's best friends, and their fights were always part of her daily amusement.
Janny's box:

Now was time to make her crafted box for the other members of the Snek Squad. To @Rebecca Loops she decided to make a funny one with a turtle, she thought he may enjoy the pun!
Loops's box:

To @Violet Grace, she went for the stars theme. She knew the girl enjoyed to look at the stars and all connected to astronomy.
Violet's box:

Now for her wolf brother and Alpha, Colin McCoire. She decided to make a different one, more wolfish! She took some different materials and made a cute grey wolf box.
Colin's box:

All that was left was to make the last box. This time was for @Tesla Stone, her werewolf friend. They had been spending the full moon nights together since they had met in November at the Shrieking Shack. Rina enjoyed to spend that times with her, the girl had such an amazing and joyfully energy and that was contagious, making those nights being full with fun, two wolves playing with each other, instead of soreness and solitude. To illustrate her warm and positive energy, Rina decided to make her a box with a sun theme.
Tesla's box:

Now the letters that would go inside all the boxes. Rina picked one of the many quills and ink bottles and started to write them on pieces of light blue paper... (You will received them through your owls!)

YAWOOOOOOOO!!!
CLAAAAIIIIRRRR!!!!
Colin charged through the doors to the great hall, a boy on a mission! Anyone who knew Colin at all would know exactly what that mission was --- to find Clair Fernandez! He was pretty sure she'd be here in the great hall. His dear Prefect, Opeila Winters, had organised a Valentines letter writing errand, and Colin knew exactly who his letter would be for. He smiled as he scooped up some parchment and some coloured pencils.
With excited yip, he skipped along between two of the tables. He knew loads of kids already present --- he saw Bailey and Rina and Aurora and Rita. But his mind was focused on one person, one girl, in particular. And at last he got to a spot along the table where there was some empty space. He jumped up onto the long wooden bench and ran along that for a few paces. Colin stopped suddenly, dropped his satchel on the table and plopped down onto the bench, scattering his pencils and parchments about.
Across from him sat two girls. He smiled at them both, showing off all his fangs! "Fyre Angel!" he greeted his best friend first. Here was one friend that he desperately wanted to talk to. They hadn't really chatted since last summer! That seemed like for ever! And there was so much to tell! "CLAIR!" Colin threw his arms into the air, as if to celebrate the mere fact that he was sitting across from the girl he loved! "I knew you'd be here!"
Forgetting all about the errand and the scattered parchments for the moment, Colin said: "I've got something for you, Clair! And you too, actually, Fyre Angel! Well, it's from me seanmamó. Curious. I got an owl from her yesterday, right? She said 'give this to that lass, you know the one; when she Sees it she'll understand.'" Colin shrugged. "I certainly don't understand it; but I do know this! I'm so happy both of you are here!"
Colin blushed slightly. He couldn't help but stare at Clair. He didn't fully understand it, but he did know that his heart belonged to this girl. Right from the start, the first time he looked at her back in London at the broom race. He sighed deeply. Then he started writing.

Valentine's Sweethearts
Meris made her way to the Great Hall to join in with the Valentines Festivities. She found a particularly glittery confetti shaped like little hearts in all sorts of colors. Some of them even seemed to change their color. Meris also grabbed some paper, glue and scissors. This was something she was good at. She could craft with the best of them.
The first thing she did was rip up a bunch of muted green paper into strips. Then she got a stack of the thicker paper and cut it into giant hearts. She also took some paper in the colors of her house, maroon and gold and cut more hearts out. By the time she was done there was a huge stack of them.
Then she wrote on each and every heart in pale brown marker:
Meris was very meticulous now. She dipped each strip of green paper into the glue then laid it over the precut heart untill she had many different shades of green covering the heart. Then she pasted a heart that had been written on in the middle and then she covered all the exposed edges with the glitter confetti.
They were perfect. They were also spread out over half a table all drying. If anyone tried to move her stuff, she would hover protectively over her many precious notes.
While those were drying, she sat down to pen one last Valentine’s letter.
She found the most beautiful rose-colored parchment and pulled out her dreaded quill. I can do this, she thought to herself. She opened the ink bottle and set it down on the table, taking care to move everything away from it so that, should it spill it wouldn’t ruin anything. The quill, she lowered gingerly into the ink, flicking it just before withdrawing it so that it wasn’t a dripping mess.
She then wrote on it:
After this, she carefully folded the envelope and tucked it in her robes then picked up her letters or rather, tried to. By the time she had them all in a pile and tried to pick them up, she tripped over her own shoelace and they went everywhere.
After many apologies and possibly a little help from the other children Meris managed to take her entire stack over to the prefect and left it in her competent care.
After the letters were received Meris offered, “Thank you, I really had fun and it really helped me not feel so sad to not be with my family. I hope you had a nice time too.”
Next stop was the Owlery. She’d never sent a letter by owl before. Hopefully her family actually got the letter. She found some of the owl treats and filled up her vacant pocket with some. Then she went in search of an owl. Well, the first one kept nipping her fingers. She backed off. It seemed to want to rest. But the one in the back corner hooted at her so she attached her letter after rolling it up and then offered it some treats. Then she offered it more. Then she pet its soft wings and skipped out and made her way back out to the courtyards.

I’m really thankful for all the work you do to take care of me. My Mam used to do all the cooking and I’d help with lots of the cleaning. You really help to free up my time so I can focus on learning about being a witch. At our house, we spend valentines doing kind things for each other so I wanted to do something kind for you. I hope you have a very lovely Valentine’s Day.

I am separated from you this Valentine’s Day. Even so you are in my heart and I miss you. John, make sure you don’t keep everyone up all night with your music. Kyra, Lyra keep making life difficult for John, he shouldn’t have all the fun. Nesta, Owena don’t get stuck on another log. I won’t be there to save you again. Cade, I bet your walking by now. I’m sorry I’m missing all your firsts. I hope Tad and Mam are taking lots of pictures.
Tad, Mam, I miss you. I promise I’m working hard to learn my lessons. I’m trying to make you proud. I wanted to wish you a very happy Valentine’s day.
Love, Meris
ps. I bet your really happy that you can actually open your door to your room this year!

Valentine's Sweethearts
Date: Feburary 13th, 2023Valentine’s Day had always been seen as a lovely holiday in Adlai’s eyes regardless of the fact that she was unsure about celebrating it due to the ongoing debate on whether or not it was appropriate for those of her religious background to partake in. Nonetheless, her parents didn’t mind so neither did she. Thus, as always she wrote letters addressed to her closest friends! Letters were subtle yet profound ways to deliver your emotions across to the intended recipient, especially when you were able to decorate them.
Organizing her paper, envelopes and other varies materials Adlai began to go down the mental list of people she planned to write letters too. Although Adlai spoke to several people on a daily basis she could easily say only a select few were truly her friends, one of which being Cassandra Ironwoods. So, without further ado Adlai laid the tip of her pen to paper and began to write.
Contempt with her words, Adlai gentle blew on the paper to help speed the pace of the still wet ink before it finally dried and she carefully folded and slipped the paper into an envelope. Then slipping another piece of paper from the pile she had created she continued her trail of gratitude, addressing another friend. To my lovely Cash,
I can’t begin to thank you enough for all that you’ve done for me. Between letting me lean on you when I am in my time of need and simply allowing us to laugh together has been a enormous saving grace this year, and all the years I’ve known you.
It does feel strange saying that I’ve known you for years now. It’s probably because every time I see you it feels like the first time I met you. You’re a breathe of fresh air and a pleasure for so many to speak too. Believe it or not I’ve seen normally silent people blossom when you’ve entered a room.
I couldn’t ask for a more trustworthy friend.
Yours truly,
Adlai Winifred Rod.
P.S. Find me when you receive this letter and you will be given the biggest hug!
That friend being the ever so mysterious Papa MacarooOni. Though at this point she wouldn’t call him mysterious, if anything he was a weird and awkward little boy who just needed help socializing. Nonetheless, she carefully followed the strokes of her pen as she did her best to make her writing clear and concise.
Holding the letter up in front of her Adlai marveled at her work. These letters probably held her best hand writing yet. Once again she gently blew on the page to speed up the inks drying process before folding the paper up and place it in an envelope. Of course both envelopes were addressed to their respective recipients. To my dearest Mac,
I’m not sure if this letter will ever reach you, even though I plan to deliver this letter to you personally. I don’t know why you come around more often. I wish more people knew you. I know you’re shy and aren’t the biggest fan of yourself but you’re really fun and a great friend.
I know your asking yourself now “what makes me such a great friend?” Well, I highly doubt anyone would go out of their way to make me a Halal lunchbox when I was unsure about the meat here at school and I highly doubt anyone else would hear me out about my boy problems and my rants about the consequences of my impulsive decisions.
So yes, you are a friend and don’t tell me you’re not.
Yours truly,
Adlai Winifred Rod.

Valentine's Sweethearts
Beatrice wasn't particularly in the mood for festivities at the moment. She had always felt that Valentine's Day was much too overrated, with all it's lovey dovey hearts and flowers to someone special. It wasn't that she was unhappy she had no one to celebrate it with, truthfully having someone to celebrate it with wasn't even a blip on her radar. It was just all a bit too much for her.
Mentioning: @Monica Evans, @Hilda Cavendish, @Skraele Valasse
Wearily, she entered the Great Hall. It was filled with students and crafting supplies seemed to have exploded atop all the House tables. Well there went eating anything. Most of the students, except for the ones organisng the event seemed engrossed in letter writing and craft making. Sighing, she made her way over to the Ravenclaw table, multi-coloured confetti pieces strewn across it. Dusting them off the table's surface with her hand, she sat down on the bench. Glancing around her, the arts and crafts reminded her of last years Pride event. She had done arts and crafts with Hilda, playing around with colours and paper. Having an absolute blast. Gosh how she missed her friend. Friends, plural. She hadn't seen Hilda since Summer Camp, and Skraele had gone silent since the Fall Ball. Seriously, was was there something wrong with her? Why didn't people want to stay? Some painful feeling rose up in her, not the first time she had felt it over the last year. Sadness was there, yes, but something else. Her chest became tight, and her eyes slightly watered remembering the lost friendships up until now. At least she still had Monica. She smiled to herself. Her best friend.
Bea wasn't usually one to write letters to friends, wanting more to speak and interact with them in person, but she felt, upon reflection, that this would be the best opportunity to cement where her friendships lay. If she had to put some at rest, then so be it. She would write a heartfelt, adoring one to Monica though.
Bits and bobs lay around the table, and Bea grabbed what she could. Parchment, a quill and some ink. Maybe a little bit of the confetti in a pile...
Dipping her quill in the ink, she flattened a piece of parchment and started writing. This one would be addressed to Hilda.
Finishing that letter, and on a roll, Bea started penning another.Dear Hilda,
I know we haven't seen each other much since Summer, but I miss you. I miss seeing you and doing fun things together. Currently the Hall is decked out in splendor for Valentine's Day, with arts and crafts like it was last year for that Pride event. Remember when Professor Fallon did that? I can't help but remember when we did arts and crafts together. I hope you're okay, whatever you're doing and please know that I will always be your friend.
With love and friendship,
Bea
As she put the quill down and let the ink dry, she wiped away a few wet tears that had gathered at the corners of her eyes. Seriously, she missed her best friends. This Valentine's Day stuff was stupid if this was what it was about.Dear Skraele,
Where have you been?? I know the Ball was absolutely hectic and crazy and that a girl almost died! I miss you though. Please talk to me. I just want to spend time with you like we did before the Ball. You're one of my best friends.
With Love and Friendship,
Bea
Sniffling, she grabbed a fresh piece of parchment and started penning a letter to Monica.
It might not have been a lot, but she hoped it would convey her feelings. It was quality over quantity anyway. Folding the letters up then unfolding them, she slid some of the confetti onto the parchment, before refolding along the same lines. Carefully sliding the letters into envelopes, she decided she would deliver them herself. Somehow...Dear Monica,
I want you to know how thankful I am to be your friend. Your kindness and friendship have been my saving grace this year. I'm so glad we met and became friends at Summer Camp. I don't know what I'd do without you in my life. To be honest would be pretty lonely without you and Kiwi, that's for sure!
Forever your Friend,
Bea

Erin plopped down onto one of the tables in the Great Hall that was lined with parchment paper, quills, ink, and a variety of decorative materials. "I really have gotten behind on my writing to my friends back in America. Hopefully they'll enjoy this," Erin thought to herself as she went to grab some colored pencils, glitter and glue to borrow for her letters.
And thus Erin began on her first letter, carefully drawing a heart out of glue at the top of the letter and even more carefully pouring a mix of pink and red glitter onto the outline.
Erin smiled at her letter with pride. Penelope was going to love the glitter heart. She set the first letter aside and quickly began decorating the second letter, drawing a few mini hearts in colored pencil around the sides of the letter.February 13, 2023
Dear Penelope,
I know, I know—you're going to kill me for not responding to your most recent owl. But, fear not! I plan to make it up with this beautifully decorated, one-of-a-kind marvel created by none other than myself! My valentine present to you as one of my dearest friends whom I love in the whole world!
I hope things are going well for you and your family. Hogwarts is interesting; I got my own wand that I get to keep! I bet you're jealous of that—and having to keep your wand at school during breaks. Other than that, classes seem to be going well; I got to sit and read to an Augurey yesterday which was interesting. It was cool, being close to a creature like that and interact with them as a first-year.
I can't wait to hear back from you. I miss you and Mira.
Love,
Erin

Erin paused and studied the letter as she slightly rubbed her wrist. "Shoot, some glitter rubbed off," Erin thought as she felt little specks of glitter on her hand. "Hope Momma likes glitter," Erin thought to herself as she began decorating her final letter. For this one, Erin went all out: Colored hearts, glitter hearts and rainbows, no edge was left blank after Erin was through and began writing:February 13, 2023
Dear Mira,
Mira! How are you? I miss your owls. I hope that your family is doing well back in Clinton. I miss our secret hideout where we could go to play pirates; have you found any new friends to recruit for our ship? Hogwarts is good so far, my first day here they put a talking hat on me and he said that I belonged in Ravenclaw house, so I'm decked out in blue instead of my usual greens and yellows from back home. The look is kinda growing on me though, I won't lie. How's your cat, Buster? Is he still running around scarring the no-maj kids? Were you able to bring him with you to school? I had to keep Puff Puff at home sadly, Grandma said I couldn't bring him to Hogwarts.
I can't wait to hear all about your adventures.
Love,
Erin

Erin nodded soundly at her last letter. She missed her parents dearly and felt homesick still sometimes, but Erin had been enjoying her time at Hogwarts and her classes so far.February 13, 2023
Dear Momma and Dad,
HAPPY VALENTINE! I miss you both, and Grandma and Great-Grandma. You will both be pleased to know that I have managed to stay out of trouble from my Professors. I enjoy the classes—I think Herbology and Potions might be a few of my favorites so far! Herbology shouldn't be surprising though, I do enjoy helping Grandma in her garden. How is Great-Grandma? I miss everyone dearly, including Puff Puff. How's Grandma's garden doing?
Love,
Erin

Valentine's Sweethearts
Dear @Ebony Vetra,
I am glad to announce that you would be the only person I am writing to this Valentine’s day. I am thankful that Prefect Opeila decided to start this little programme. After all, love letters are a staple of Valentine’s Day, are they not? I often have trouble when beginning my letters, but this time I feel it is as simple as it could be, so let me begin:
I love you, and I know you love me back to, and I would love you without any boundaries. That is because to many boundaries have been set for me already, whether it is the fact that I am too young to love, or the fact that I should not love someone of the same gender. My parents believed in tradition, and while in tradition girls are often married off at an young age (even younger than twenty), they are never married off to another woman.
My point is that I had not expected to love you, even had not wanted to love you at first. I felt as if it was a crime to do so, to love freely and openly. Now I laugh at myself, for loving who I want to love, and who deserved to be loved, surely cannot be a crime. At first I did not understand my emotions towards you, Ebony Vetra, even though I think you understood your feelings towards me. I was confused; I was not your friend, but then how did we seem so close? Some nights my mind is clouded with a haze of confusion, until I finally understood my thoughts.
I love you for being you. I do not love the person you can be, but rather I love the person you are now, and I will still love you, even if you change, especially if you change; especially if you grow. It is no small task for me to list why I love you, for you have too many attributes that deserve to be loved. This letter is not one of witty jokes, nor is it one of hidden emotions, this is how I feel towards you:
Your solitude, the way you dislike people, makes me feel closer to you, despite what might seem obvious. I feel as if I am not the only person who finds it hard to communicate sometimes, who just want to be alone. Solitude is my paradise, and it is no paradox that we can be alone together. It is not a paradox because we are one already, not two separate people. When I look at you, what I see is only a mirror of myself. While opposites attract, similarities make us one.
We are more similar than I realised. At least one of our parents never have time for us. Even my mother, who was an author and often homeschooled me, was more like a teacher than a mother. Our family wasn’t so great, but that’s alright; we have a new family here at Hogwarts. We might not have so many friends, or we might have a lot of friends, but what matters is that our friendship is strong. Often, people look at us and think of us as awkward. Often, people look at us and edge away. Often, people look at us an do not want to talk.
I was raised in a privileged and ridiculously rich family, but I do not feel privileged at all sometimes. I do not know about you, Ebony, but it is not only our eyes of dark obsidian eyes that match, but also the sadness that they sometimes carry, despite our young age.
I hope you enjoy the Valentine’s ball as the date, and I am sure you would enjoy the first date I have planned for us.
Lovingly,
Cynthia Beaufort

-without the bagBeatrice loved writing and being creative so how could she not participate in this wonderful idea of making gifts and letters for your loved ones here at Hogwarts. Beatrice knew exactly who her letter was going to go to. Irina Meyer Sousa and no one else. Her dorm mate had become her closest friend over the past months and Beatrice didn't know what she'd do without her best friend. She always felt better whenever she saw Irina and felt such a sense of protection for the other girl, that she would do anything for her. Before coming to Hogwarts, Beatrice didn't think she would ever feel such a closeness with someone and she certainly didn't think that she could get such a great friend in such little time. Irina was a true sweetheart and didn't deserve all the heartache that she had to go through in her live. Which was another reason why Beatrice wanted to do this for her friend. She wanted her friend to feel loved and cared for because that was what Beatrice's mind was set on. She would not leave Irina's side through these Seven years and not after. Unless Irina wanted her to do so some day but even then, Beatrice would lurk in the shadows and look out for her best friend.
Her steps were accompanied with the sound of her converse hitting the floor and a humming tone left Beatrice's lips as she happily walked through the halls of Hogwarts. Her open hair fell in waves over her shoulders as her rosie cheeks shined in the sun that was glooming from the windows. She was on her way to the great hall, where the "event" would take place. Beatrice was coming from the Owlery where she had just sent off a letter to her sister, who's birthday was on Valentine's day. Edith was turning 9 and Beatrice really missed her little sister. She also missed the twins a lot. Pushing those thoughts away, Beatrice entered the Great Hall. She immediately spotted a few people that she knew and especially Irina. Her eyes lingered on the beautiful curly haired girl with a smile. Irina was so strong and Beatrice secretly admired her for a few things. She was sitting with Bailey and apparently also doing some crafting. Beatrice looked around with a smile and decided to sit at the Hufflepuff table today. The tables were full with different material's that Beatrice would certainly be using. Different supplies such as quills, ink, paper, parchment and all kinds of decorative materials were spread across each table and Beatrice picked a few up as she walked. Then she sat down in a free spot, still humming. She never noticed that she did this and if someone was to point it out, Beatrice would get extremely embarrassed and probably walk out with a face redder than cherries.
Beatrice had a plan. She would do some painting on a piece of paper and write a letter on the back. Her friend certainly deserved some love even if it wasn't from the person she may want it from. A particular song that her beloved french grandfather had introduced her to was leaving her lips. Je te laisserai des mots by Patrick Watson. Victor Lavigne had been a loving and amazing grandfather when he had still lived and Beatrice has learned a lot from him. He had loved anything muggle related and loved his grandchildren even more. »Je te laisserai des mots En-dessous de ta porte
En-dessous de les murs qui chantent Tout près de la place où tes pieds passent Cachés dans les trous de ton divan Et quand tu es seule pendant un instant Ramasse-moi Quand tu voudras Embrasse-moi Quand tu voudras, Ramasse-moi Quand tu voudras.« she silently sang, the music playing in her head as her brush went over the paper.and then she was done with the small painting.Translation:
ReducioI will leave you notes
under your door
Below the singing walls
Close to where your feet pass
Hidden in the holes of your couch
And when you're alone for a moment
pick me up
when you want
Kiss Me
when you want
pick me up
when you wantNext in line was a small picture that she wanted to draw of them. She grabbed another piece of paper and the supplies she needed before starting to draw. Beatrice thought about everything she connected with Irina and about everything they had done together. The night of the attempted murder stuck most out to her when she had waited for Irina to finally come back and was so worried. Then there were the night's of her best friend's night mare's. Beatrice wished that Irina would just wake her up when she had one but she was almost certain that Irina would not do that. Beatrice knew that she would feel bad to wake her up even tho Beatrice would not mind. She would never mind getting up for Irina or doing anything for Irina at all. No matter what. She bit her lip as drew Irina and herself onto the piece.when she was done, Beatrice thought it looked quite cute. Then she started on the letter. She wrote her heart out and when she was had no more words left, she grabbed an envelope, drawing on a Moon and some stars.ReducioAfter everything was dried, Beatrice carefully packaged the letter and then she was done, looking at her letter. She didn't know if it would do Irina justice, but it was cute and she would probably be happy about. She cleaned up the mess she had made and then left the hall, going to her common room and then to her dorm. There she put the letter on Irina's bed and then left to go to the Library and read something.Reducio
