Quidditch Slytherin vs Hufflepuff - Winter 2023

Quinn had been looking forward to this game for some time. He was excited ready and more than happy to bring the fun. Quinn smirked, his usual cheery and bearded self. He'd grown bigger yet again it was a wonder he fit into most doorways these days. Taking his massive broom, he flew out onto the pitch. "Lets get this done! Stay alert and have fun!" He laughed, doing his best to encourage his team. He was just ready to have a blast and see how things turned out.

He seemed more full of energy than ever. He had faith in his team and all of their skills no matter the outcome. Now it was time to once again show out.

ROUND 1

CHASERS

The whistle would blow, and the game would begin. However, it was an odd sight as, for probably the one of the few times in quidditch, there was a surprising lack of action. Hufflepuff's Howard would dive in and grab the Quaffle with no contest from anyone else, scoring easily as Koko seemed to be unaware of the action happening around her. "Ten points to Hufflepuff!"

Howard would then dive yet again, and again, and retrieving the Quaffle four more times with nobody to fight him for it. Koko, still not paying attention to the Hufflepuff chaser apparently, put up no fight as he scored one after the other. The Hufflepuff supporters in the crowd would cheer wildly as Howard scored goal after goal.

"That's another ten for Hufflepuff! And another! And another! And a last final ten!"

The other chasers in the black and yellow kit seemed to be waiting below, looking up in anticipation of any falling players. Slytherin's chasers, however, seemed equally as out of it as their keeper had been, not attempting to try and grab the Quaffle and break Howard's scoring streak.

BEATERS

There would be more action between beaters, however. The Badgers' captain, Quinn, would take a shot at fellow sixth-year, Erin Ryan, but she'd artfully dodge it with ease. Cassandra would be waiting behind, catching the Bludger cleanly and shooting it in the direction of the goal-scorer, Howard. However, he'd manage to swerve out the way and avoid taking a nasty beating.

Yet the younger Hufflepuff beater, Rita, would find that her bludger would hit find its target. With great accuracy, she'd send the bludger towards Cassandra, who'd take the hit straight to the stomach and likely be left feeling pretty winded.

SEEKERS

The answer for what had caused Slytherin to forget where they were would still be unknown, affecting even their seeker as finding the Snitch didn't seem to cross his mind. Hufflepuff, on the other hand, would give it their best shot, as Ethen scanned the skies for the tiny fluttering golden Snitch. However, he'd find it would get the better of him as he seemed unable to spot it.

Rita had worries about the snakes Quidditch team Cloud Cobras being quite strong and nimble, and pretty tough to beat, but it seemed that the situation was actually quite satisfying to the badger`s side, at least in this round. Their co-captain and also one of the first-string chasers, had grabbed the Quaffle, and it was already 50 points to Hufflepuff! And they even was not the most exciting thing this round, as the Second Year Hufflepuff with short straight black hair and a pair of yellow glasses not only would have survived this round, but also would find out the bludger she threw at Cash hit the older snake prefect directly in the stomach!

"That is a lot of improvement from the fall match last October where I was knocked down by the bludger in the first round, and I am also glad my hard Quidditch training has paid off! Hope my luck would continue in the next round!" Feeling proud of herself, the Second Year Hufflepuff beater thought, before calling out to the group, "Look like the situation is pretty satisfying on us badgers this round! Keep up the good work, badgers! We can do this and hopefully bring Hufflepuff another Quidditch win! I have to admit the snakes team Cloud Cobras are definitely a very strong team and they should definitely not be overlooked, but if we continue to do well in the future rounds, we will probably beat them! Let`s go, badgers! Give it all!"

Rita was definitely excited for the next round, as thee Second Year Hufflepuff beater murmured "touch wood" to herself after calling out to the team, and quickly began to prepare for her next moves.

After kicking off the ground, he hovered and looked around, hoping to see if he could do something- something that could prove his worth- but what was going on? It didn't seem like much of a game that he heard so much about? What was everyone doing? This perplexed the part-goblin's mind, and he just continued to fly forth, just to see what all he needed to do- if there was something he was supposed to do.

It would appear that team Hufflepuff's practice and preparation had paid off as they caught the Cloud Cobras off their guard. Like a bunch of race horses out of the gate the Flying Badgers sprung into action. Howard himself was able to score 5 quick goals before the Slytherins could form a counter attack. The Hufflepuff Beaters would find success too as the crack of the bat rang out through the air. Not enough to down a player, but it was impressive nonetheless! "Great work Rita!" Howard called out his encouragement before readying himself for what was to come next. They may have had the jump on the snakes, but no way would they no come back at therm guns and beater bats a blazin'!

xxxMaggie Hawkins wasn't paying attention. She didn't even hear the starting whistle, honestly, and was hanging in the air above the field. Call her stupid or ignorant, but she sat there, unaware, as Hufflepuff players flew around her in their attempts to score those valuable points for their team. Maggie, for her part, sat there on her broom, picking at her fingernails and wrinkling her nose. Was that a hangnail?

She looked up with a startled gasp, though, as Hufflepuff began scoring points. Fuck!

Hangnail immediately forgotten, Maggie returned to the action with a newfound desperation (and irritation--that hangnail was really something).

It was an odd scene to see. Usually, when the whistle of the game sounded around the pitch, the Cloud Cobras would be tearing and zipping the air like all of them had attached some rocket at the end of their broom. But it seems today was not the case. It was like something unseen had been possessed by most of their teammate.

Whatever reason their other teammate choose to be stationary on their respective post, Cash would try their best to follow what they know best which is chasing after the bludger. The five consecutive ding indicating the badger had scored a goal di not deterred the young Ironwods' spirit. Their green eyes had been trained to catch and follow the metal ball of death.

And after Erin Ryan managed to dodge the little menace of a cannonball, it was time for them to shine. With a resounding crack the fourth-year Prefect had sent the iron ball back to Howard but luck was not in their favor this round as Howard managed to avoid their assault. "Puta madre! son of a bitch!"They cursed under their breath in Spanish.

But it seems when Cash had been busy returning the attack on Howard, it gave the second-year Hufflepuff's Beater, Rita Su, just enough momentum to retaliate back. It was an unexpected move and Cash did not have time to dodge the attack as the bludger hit them right on their stomach. Good thing Cash did not fill their stomach full that day.

With the force of the bludger that Su had sent their way, it was enough to propel Cash a bit backward. "Joder! Fucking hell!"They said as the wind was knocked out from their chest, well, in this case, was from their stomach. The searing pain from the attack filled their body and they felt like their body was on fire.

Nothing new. Shake it off, Cash! they said to themselves. Cash gritted their jaw and suck a deep breath. The green eyes looked at Dan for another instruction on how to annihilate the black and yellow team. Once their eyes are locked with their Captain, Cash will be zeroed in on their green eyes towards whoever their next target is and be ready to knock them off of their broom.
