Why did you choose your character’s name? Was there any significance? Is there meaning behind the name?

I’ll go first: Sabine is a French name that is common in her home country of Ghana. I wanted her name to have some connection to her roots. Blumenthal is a traditionally Jewish surname common in New York after diaspora; I wanted a surname that felt whimsical while also reflecting the diversity of New York City.

So basically Elira is my middle name! It means "freedom". I chose it because a) i liked how it sounded with her second name (lamacraft), and b) because i had plans for her to escape her family's expectations + their household, so yeah, freedom.
Lamacraft was a surname of one of the book characters in a book i read at the time (i can't recall what it was), but otherwise it doesn't really have that much meaning to it!

i dont recall the name, but i'll make sure to find out. anywayy book (+ rest of series) recomendation: the curel prince aksjksj im in love with that series!! or a court of thorns and roses!
