What do you mean by 'what happened with the bean'? The beans are always found to the left and to the right of the two chains at the top of the page. That's the only location they are ever found. It can be on any forum page of HiO except for the Ministry of Magic. When you can't find a bean it's usually because it's in a place that you can't access. Probably need to be a certain high position (such as prefect, captain of a wizard sport, work for the headliner etc...), staff member or a teacher.

no. I found the bean in this thread, not in the at the counter forum. Like it was sitting next to the chain, but in a thread, not a forum.

If you mean 'in the let's chat thread' that we're in right now, it's not really the let's chat thread, it's the At the Counter location. The bean can be found in the At the Counter location which is where the let's chat thread is located. At the Counter is one of the places at the Leaky Cauldron. It would be found on either side of the two chains descending from the top of the page.

And yes, in a thread is still inside a forum though? So it would be located in that forum. You can still see it when you open a thread though.
