Larino looked down at his hands for a moment while Astra asked him what subject he was most excited for. All he really wanted was to be left alone for a while now, and silently wished he hadn't started to open up as much. The only one apart from his sister that was magical was his father, who had disappeared a few months prior (and who didn't use magic much anymore), so the first year hadn't grown up in much of a magical household. His sister had told him all about Hogwarts, and he was especially excited for both Herbology and Flying. "I mean..." He started, trying not to open up too much. As much as he wanted friends, he wasn't sure if he was ready to let anyone else know who he really was. At least.. not yet. "I think I'll be good at Herbology, and Flying does look pretty awesome. But scary. Terrifying, even." He wasn't sure why he said so much, and clutched his rock closer to his body.

He wasn't sure what had happened, but Astra's lips suddenly turned black. As much as he wanted to say something about it, he wasn't sure if he should. Deciding it was probably the right thing to do, he pointed at her face "You lips... are they supposed to be that colour?" He feared the unknown, for sure, and this was certainly unknown to him.

Larino didn't like how Astra was causing him to open up a little, so started to try and talk less (while of course still answering her question), but couldn't help noticing how her lips had turned black. He didn't know what had happened, but pointed it out to her, in a way.
