| ─── | It was Sunday, December 4, 2022.
The past few days had been hectic with errands and clubs. But now, it was the perfect time to relax. Outside. Where one could commune with nature and help ensure it remained pure and clean. The first club meeting of the month was here and the very first meeting that Kim himself would hold for the members. Hopefully, it would go well and people would have fun. The green haired teen was currently dressed in a white T, a long-sleeved pastel green nature designed shirt, blue jeans and a multi-colored fur jacket, as it was a bit cold. After all, it was December, which was known as the first month of winter. A yawn escaped his lips. Kim had put everything together ahead of time by getting up early, which was a feat to be sure. But when it came to clubs he owned, it was easy for him to get up a bit earlier. He wasn't sure why. He'd put a variety of things into his enchanted backpack ahead of time, so he wouldn't have to do it later on. The following was what was now inside it and what he would be bringing with him for the members. Reducio • a large thermos of hot cocoa • a large thermos of hot peppermint tea • a large thermos of cold water • three large round thermos' filled with chili+beans • a large container with fresh baked zucchini muffins • a large container with mini ham and cheese sandwiches • a large container with chocolate chip cookies • two large blankets to sit on for the picnic, so snow won't make you wet • a large miniature 'table' made of wooden planks and raised up a bit to place food/drinks on • wizard camera with a strap to go around your neck • 2 litter-pickers with cloth bags, 1 for litter and 1 for leaves • notebook with quills and inkwells • canvas sheets for painting with brushes and colored ink along with a foldable wooden stand • parchment paper, clipboard Kim reached down and grabbed his enchanted backpack from its resting place. After a careful look inside to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything, he headed to the door. Only to be attacked by Puffie from behind who was bouncing up against his legs and squeaking at him. "Ah, right. I forgot, you want to come too. Okay, hop onto my shoulder." Kim told the pink puffball as he crouched down so Puffie could hop up. Once Puffie had settled himself, the green haired teen headed out the door. It was time for the meeting!!! Upon reaching his destination, the Great Lake, Kim found a great spot, where one could see everything, and set his enchanted backpack down. Opening it, he took out one of the large blankets and spread it out onto the ground on top of the snow. It was thick enough and insulated enough with magic to ensure that no wetness seeped into the material. Then, Kim took out the large miniature 'table' and set it down on top of the blanket, getting it situated in place. He didn't take out the food or drinks he'd brought with him right now. Because he didn't want to tempt his members. They wouldn't be indulging in refreshments and comestibles right off the bat, as soon as they got there. First, they needed to pay attention to the nature all around them and engage in some activities! Once they'd finished, they would be rewarded with some delicious food and drinks. Hopefully, Bailey would remember this, as he knew she always tended to bring something each time she came. He'd sent her a private owl about it after he'd sent out the basic owls about the meeting's details. Kim had to admit, he was kind of curious as to how many people would show up, as he'd also put a poster on the bulletin board to advertise for the club. He was expecting at least three people to show up, but would more come too? Hopefully he could get a few new ones this year. Kim had already done a random choosing about roles for this particular meeting and hoped it would be fun for everyone involved, based off of what they'd done at the previous meeting. Kim's enchanted backpack now rested on the edge of the large blanket and Puffie had hopped down onto the blanket to explore. All the remained was to wait for the members to show up and they could get started now. |

Kayla supposed the castle was buzzing because the holidays were so soon yet so far. Kayla couldn't wait, it was fourteen days until her birthday and seven days after that, it would be Christmas. Also, there was another meeting for the nature club.
The previous meeting had been much fun and relaxing, too. There had only been three memebers at the time and also Lily Blaze had been the club leader. But now, Kim Aoki was the member of the club. This didn't surprise Kayla at all, Kim was the leader of about a billion other clubs. Many that she was part of. But Kayla was a bit sad she would not see her friend at the next meeting, but she was still excited to go down nevertheless.
The day of the meeting, Kayla had worn two jackets. Or rather a sweater and a jacket, as it was so cold. She wore her blue sweater and a jacket over it, thick wool boots and comfortable cotton black pants. Kayla had also had enough time to make her hair look presentable. She usually never bothered to brush her hair, as it was short it looked okag neat or messy.
"I'll be back in a bit," Kayla said to Squeaky, her ferret, rubbing her head beforr setting off. Kayla had remembered how Kim had liked the Bar One's she'd brought to the Pet Society meeting, so she brought a few from her box. It was nearly empty, she'd have to owl Liam to buy her more.
Kayla stomped her way to the Great Lake and spotted the meeting area quickly, she went over that direction and was shocked to see she was the first one there. Wow, that was progress.
"Kim, hey!" Kayla greeted him, taking a seat on the blanket. "Hi, Puffie," she added to the puff with a smile, who was entertaining himself by exploring the large area. Kayla had seen him way to often that she thought it would be impolite not to greet.
"I brought you this, tada!" She took two chocolates out of her pocket and handed them to Kim. "I remembered you like them," she said sheepishly.

(I know it can be intimidating to newcomers to have to read long posts/ threads so hopefully with a TLDR you can feel more comfortable)
Sunny had gone to bed excited, clutching the poster for the first nature group meeting and holding it to his chest. There was going to be a meeting! Outside! For a group that met outside! He wished his neighbor, @Leo Katz a good night and flopped backwards on his pillow. There was going to be a meeting! As he drifted off to sleep he vaugely realized that he should probably put the poster back up, so others could see it. But he didn't have the time or space to register any guilt as he had already drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, he woke up, and there was going to be a meeting! It was today! The poster had slipped beneath his bed sheets, warmed and thorughly huggled in the night and now rumpled. He had forgotten his thought about putting the poster back up. There was going to be a -his stomach rumbled. He slipped on some fresh clothes for the day and hurried about his morning routine, imagining what food there might be for breakfast.

Hours later, Sunny's class had ended. He rubbed his eyes, tiredly, and nearly walked into a column. Goodness, he was exhausted. Something about sitting and reading and listening just sucked all the life right out of him. The support column he had nearly walked into had a poster on it. He stared at it, blankly. Recognition hit him like a flying fish on a cold, wet day. There was going to be a meeting! And he was going to be late!
He nearly dropped his books as he pitched forward in a running start, and got yelled at in passing by a teacher to slow down and walk safely, please. He did, and walked as fast as he could.

He arrived at the lake and pulled out his jacket from his backpack and put it on. He saw the hufflepuff girl he had taken an interest in, Kayla, ever since spotting her talking to someone from gryffindor, with so much more energy than him. He watched Kayla give Kim something. He didn't have anything to give, so he stuffed his hands in his pockets to warm them, then remembered he should say something, so he took his hands out and waved.
"Hey", he squeaked awkwardly. He didn't mean to sqeak, it accidentally happened. He realized then that he had only said 'hey' to Kim so he waved at Kayla also, feeling even more awkward.
He needed to do something with his hands so he plunged them in his pockets again, then into his backpack, rummaging, and found an apple and began to munch on his apple. He looked out over the lake, appreciating it.

───── It was December. The month where it ‘officially’ became winter. All the leaves off the trees, leaving it bare, just the intricate branches weaving up to great height. Then there was the snow. It blanketed the outdoors in a thick layer of white. A chill weaved through the air, the cold attaching itself onto the skin of students, making them shiver. Lilliana herself wasn’t sure whether she loved snow or hated it. The girl was extremely sensitive to cold weather, and always wore layers when it was chilly. But the sight of snow was so pretty, and the girl loved both.
Lilliana made her way down towards the Great Lake. The first year had worn a nice white hat with a brown fur ball on top. It was fleeced on the inside, which pushed her towards wearing it. Speaking of fleece, her pants, although appeared to be seemingly normal leggings, had fleece on the inside, preventing her legs from freezing off. She had worn this pair multiple times, but, as it was efficient, she wore it once again. She had a green shirt on underneath a black fur coat. The coat wasn’t the warmest, to her displeasure, but she hated most winter coats, as they were too big, and uncomfortable to wear.
Though she hadn’t come all this way just to look at the lake, though that may be part of it, she came because she had joined a new club. It was a Nature Club. Her old dorm mate, Lily Blaze, used to run this club, at least that’s what she heard, this was her first club meeting for the Nature Lovers. Now a second year named Kim Sato was running it. Lilliana wondered what they were going to do, she tried thinking of her ideas, but nothing came into her head. She wasn’t the most creative. Lilliana realized that this was the first club she’s been in. She smiled to herself in a bright mood, Make it a fun one.
She walked, watching as she created a trail of footprints made by her tall brown boots. We then looked up when she neared the lake. There were three other people there already. She could tell she was one of the last to arrive. The first year had been cautious making her way down to the lake. She had slipped on a patch of ice early on the walk and became very vigilant for the rest of the journey. Lilliana still felt a little sore on her knee where she had earlier tripped, and there was a little snow hanging onto it still.
The blond gave a weary smile. “Hey,” Lilliana said in a voice quieter than her own. She noticed that and quickly changed it. “I’m Lilliana, if you didn’t know,” She said, to no one in particular. A beat of silence passed, and Lilliana stood there for a moment, shifting weight from one hip to another awkwardly, before deciding to break the silence. “So what do we do in this club?” Her voice sounded fairly genuine, as it was a question she’d been wondering for a while. Lilliana waited for a response.

Rita knew she had signed up for quite a lot of clubs this year, and this nature club was no exception. Since it was December and the holiday season was coming, there was a lot of club activities and errands, many of which Christmas themed, and the Second Year Hufflepuff would agree that a day out in the Great Lake admiring the natural scenery and enjoying some snacks would be a really nice way to relax, and that was why the black-haired Hufflepuff joined the nature club. "The old saying is definitely right, the best things in life are free. Even though it is still a fairly cold day in early December, I believe some hot chocolate and tea will be provided. Afterall, what is better than a day to just sit by the lake and chill while drinking hot drinks and eating some drinks? Perfect way to chill out after those busy days of errands and club activities during this holiday season." The Second Year Hufflepuff thought when she received the owl from Kim Aoki, the club leader, about the details of the first meeting of the nature club.
Anyway, on that particular Sunday, Dec 4th, that weather was still a bit cold, so Rita had put her warm coat on outside her sweater to stop herself from freezing and catching a cold before walking quickly to the great lake to attend the club meeting. There were already a few people there, Kim was of course there as the leader of the group, as well as her friend Kayla and two other students she was not very familiar with. One of them was a seemingly Asian boy, which attracted some particular attention from the Second Year Hufflepuff because of being a Chinese girl herself, and that other girl had pretty long straight white hair and clean white skin, looking quite pretty.
"Hi, Kim and Kayla! Fancy seeing you today!" The Second Year Hufflepuff waved to the group with a friendly smile, "Nice to meet you two as well! My name is Rita Su by the way, if you don`t know. Second Year Hufflepuff and first-string beater in the badgers Quidditch team. Could you please introduce yourself if you don`t mind? And I guess we are all here for the nature club meeting? Maybe I take some snacks here while we wait for more people to arrive?" After Rita introduced herself to the crowd, the Second Year Hufflepuff was just sitting besides the lake, chilling relaxingly and waiting for other members to response and more members to arrive.

It was the day of the Nature Club Meeting, and Bailey was running behind. She changed quickly from what she had been wearing to do her homework into a more club appropriate outfit, and made her way down to the Great Lake.
Bailey spotted Kim’s green head easily, and a pink spot next to him- Puffie was also there!!! Bailey loved puffball almost as much as she did Kim- JUST as a friend thought. At least that’s what Bailey told herself…
Bailey also spotted @Kayla Realma, @Sunny Smitherson-Smith, and @Lilliana Havenmore along with @Rita Su down by Kim.
Bailey had her bag over her shoulder as she approached the gathered group, and in her bag she had quite a few things. Her water bottle for one was in there, along with a handful of chocolate frogs that she would give out as prizes if the people at the meeting picked up their trash after themselves. Was she bringing stuff to bribe people? Yes, yes she was.
Entering the group Bailey smiled all around and said “Heyyy everyone! My name is Bailey- Bailey Glade! I’m a third hear Ravenclaw, and the tardy vice president of this club!”
Turning to Kim she said softly “sorry I’m running behind, I got caught up working on my homework, I wanted to get ahead…”

It was a decent turn-out for the Nature Club's first meeting with him in control, as more than 3 showed up! Sure, they were missing a few members, but it wasn't too bad at all, and Kim could work with this. Actually, he preferred there to be less members, it made it easier for him. Damion was also part of this club but he'd send an owl to him ahead of time, letting him know he'd be a little late to the meeting. Puffie squeaked up at Kayla as she came onto the scene and it almost looked as if it was smiling, although it was hard to see. Kim nodded to her as she greeted him and a smile came to his lips as Kayla presented the boy with two Bar Ones. "Ah! Bar One! Right? They're delicious! Thank you!" Kim exclaimed as he took the delicious treats and quickly pocketed them into the multicolored fur jacket he wore. He'd eat them later on and savor them without having people stare at him for the way he tended to devour sweets. Sometimes even food in general... many people mentioned that he tended to eat like a squirrel, stuffing food into his cheeks. It was around this time a fellow Gryffindor showed up, one of the new years, Sunny if Kim remembered correctly... That name... Every time he heard it, it reminded him of Bailey, the girl known as his Sunshine Princess. Sunny ended up squeaking out a greeting and Kim gave him a practiced smile and gestured for him to come closer to them. "Welcome to the Nature Club. It's Sunny, right?" Kim asked, just to make sure. Next to show up was Lilliana, who came in wearing a really nice outfit that looked comfortable and stylish. He wondered if she had ever thought of joining his Fashion Club. She certainly had potential in that particular department. As Kim let his eyes flicker over her, he noted her expression. The girl almost seemed a little off. No. It wasn't that she was 'off', it was more like she was in some kind of pain? But why? Kim continued to regard her for a few seconds and then abruptly noticed some snow clinging to the knee area of one of Lilliana's knees. "You alright?" He asked, nodding towards her knee. A familiar face showed up, well two familiar faces. Rita, someone he'd known for awhile, and Bailey, his Sunshine Princess and vice-president, co-leader of the club. Damion had yet to show up. Puffie continued to hop around on the ground, exploring. "Alright, let's get this meeting started!" Kim told them. "Welcome to the Nature Club. An acquaintance of mine originally started this club." "But she ended up having to leave and asked me to take over for her. I appointed Bailey Glade to be my co-leader. So if ever have any questions, feel free to ask me or her. The point of the Nature Club is to be around nature and enjoy the fresh air and everything nature has to offer. We will participate in lots of different activities and will have a picnic at each meeting. And once a month we will make a short collage album of what we've done." Kim told all the members. "Each member will be able to take a copy of the finished product as a reward." The explanation of the club was finally done, at least most of it was, which meant Kim could move on to the last part. "I mentioned various activities we would do at our meetings. There are 6 different roles, only 2 of which will have only one person filling them. I will randomly assign roles to everyone at the beginning of each meeting and you will carry out your duties for that particular meeting." Kim let his eyes flicker over all the members. "Once you receive your role, I will tell you what is expected of you at the time." He added. The green haired teen paused for a moment and glanced over at Rita. "But before I tell you what your roles are for today, we should introduce ourselves like Rita suggested earlier. Once we're done, I'll let you know your assigned roles for today's meeting and everything else you will need to know about your positions. Thank you for coming to our first meeting. If you do not know already, I am Kim, your new leader of this club. Second year duelist from Gryffindor." "I run many clubs, so the likelihood of you running into me at some point is high. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask me or Bailey during club time. Or if you'd rather speak privately with me, please send an owl and we can discuss the matter." Kim told them and inclined his head towards the others, who hopefully had been listening to what he'd been saying all this time. Who would be next to introduce themselves? Once introductions had been made, they could proceed further. To the next stage, where things would become more interesting, because roles would be revealed! |

The first week of December was definitely cold, good thing her mother had made sure to have her pack extra for Hogwarts. The cold was wonderful though, it signified the transition of Fall to Winter (even though it wasn't Winter yet); the season was a time for one to reflect upon themself and look onto the future of spring. Whether a lot of people came or not didn't bother her, all she wanted was to find more like-minded people when it came to nature. When she arrived, she was happy to see some familiar faces as well as new ones. "Hi Kim, hi Bailey! I hope I didn't miss anything yet.." She greeted them before approaching Rita with an excited expression on her face. "Rita!" Daphne took a seat beside her on the ground, before bringing her attention back to Kim. She already knew it was time for him to explain things at this point.
She would be the first to introduce herself after he was finished speaking, usually she'd wait but she had gotten used to this now. "Well, I'm Daphne Sapphirus, Hufflepuff and a first year! I'm part of the other clubs that Kim runs like the Golden Explorers and Clumsy Club so I have to say he and Bailey really put their all into these clubs! Without them, Hogwarts wouldn't be as fun!" Her eyes lit up as she spoke, "They are both a role model for all houses and all years! We couldn't do it without you both!" Even if she couldn't make it to every meeting or wasn't apart of every club, she had a great respect for the both of them. Honestly Daphne couldn't see why everyone shipped Baikim, to her they just looked like best friends compared to the established couples at Hogwarts.

Kim seemed to think they were enough at the moment, so he started the meeting off with explaining about he came to be the leader, what they were doing and various other things. Kayla had her arms folded comfortably around her long legs as she watched the older boy. Kayla wondered how Kim managed to run so many clubs, and be good at it too. The Hufflepuff couldn't help admire the Gryffindor for his work- being able to be apart of and run half of them took patience and skill.
Once Kim finished introducing himself, Daphne went next. Kayla waited a moment before decided to go herself.
"Hey, everyone. Most of you guys know me, I'm Kayla, first year, Hufflepuff! I'm a painter, so I love painting nature, and I like the outdoors in general, so this is a great club."
Kayla proffered the title painter rather to artist. She loved sketching, too, but artist felt like a general term. Painter felt a lot more personal, so Kayla preferred it. Her blue eyes looked around, waiting for someone to go next.

Soon after a few people had arrived, Kim gave a quite detailed and intriguing explanation of the purpose of the nature club and what they gonna do in the later meetings. "So Kim says we are gonna have a picnic at each meeting and have a photo album every month showing what we have done this month? And we are going to have different roles on each meeting? That sounds really fascinating to me! Cannot wait to see what roles I will be assigned this time!" The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater thought with some excitment are hearing Kim`s detailed speech.
"So, as most of you probably know, my name is Rita Su, Second Year Hufflepuff, Quidditch player, first-string beater." Ritat turned to the other members of the club, including Daphne, who recently joined the meeting, the opened her mouth with a lot of delight, "Hi, Daphne! Fancy seeing you once again!
