Also I think all houses have a broom fund now, so you should get a solid broom when on a team.
Only problem is, my iNPC is the one on a team so I’m not sure how that would work.

Yup. Same with me. Hiro is the one on a quidditch team and Kim is not. So I couldn't make use of any broom funds as they are only for people ON the actual team. Since Hiro is my iNPC and Kim is not, I couldn't use a broom fund (I don't think Gryffindor even had a broom fund at the time). So you probably won't be able to either. I had to painstakingly save up.
