A totally normal day at the library Finished

Asher found himself feeling a bit fuzzy inside when Adya smile at him which caused to him to speak instinctively without thinking "You have a pretty beautiful smile." he then realized what he said and his face turned into a shade of red which made his head indistinguishable from a tomato.

The fact that Adya was also staring at him didn't help and along with the fact that she complimented him, it was safe to say that a apples looked pale in comparison to his red face. He was too surprised and too mesmerized with Adya for a moment before he remembered how to function as a human being. "Umm-ah-yeah--ahh-t-thanks, you're also very beautiful you know." Asher wasn't sure why he was feeling more embarrassed, he was stating a fact so why did it make him feel that way?

He also now realized that he was close to Adya, close enough to see all her distinct features, however he snapped out of his thoughts when she put the book in the middle between them so they can both read, he almost forget that he came here to read about magical creatures. "Well, I am looking forward to knowing more about Hippogriffs, they honestly sound like interesting creatures." he honestly hoped that he could learn about them, but with him and Adya sitting so close he wasn't sure if he would be able to focus on the book.

Is there any possibility to widen the already widened to the fullest smile? But it seems like there is. Where are the words? How to use the letters to form a word? Her throat stuck. For the first time since long ago, Adya is on the verge of burrying her face in the book. The book at which no matter how intensely she kept on staring at it, she was unable to grasp any of the words written.

When Asher's face reached the point where it could be no more reddish than it is, Adya's mind wavered between enjoying it and thinking of ways to relax him, tho not sure how exactly she could do it. Probably by shutting her mouth. Which isn't so easy as it sounds.

Supporting her chin with her propped up elbow on the table, the Raven haired gazed up straight into Asher's face with the slightest of smiles playing on her lips. The way his eyes were fixated on her, filled her heart with something unrecognizable that she lost herself in his eyes for the moment.

Adya's eyes squinted playfully at him, " Do you really mean it or just complimenting me back?" with a quick raise of an eyebrow. Fake pouting as she played with her sleeve end, "- I see, a matter of courtesy? 'Cause I meant it, you really do look handsome and... Also cute when your face turns... You know?" As she bit the insides of her cheek to hide the smile.

Looking at the book absent-mindedly "Honestly I don't know, something else interests me more now-" Her eyebrows scrunched at her own words. Those words weren't chosen to come out. "Acromantulas, yes, they are interesting too, I mean- They are- I mean, let's focus on the Hippogriff for now" she nodded at the book.

Asher was sure that if his face hadn't become the redest it could be that it would have become even more red, thankfully he was at least allowed that small mercy, every time he looked at Adya his chest tightened in way he couldn't explain or understand which bothered to a great extent, he didn't like not understanding things. He tried focusing on the book but it was nothing more than gibberish at this point, instead he would steal glances at Adya while she was reading to look at her face.

They made eye contact for a while and and she smiled playfully at him as she raised an eye brow "Do you really mean it or just complimenting me back?" she then pouted as she played with her sleeve end and continued "- I see, a matter of courtesy? 'Cause I meant it, you really do look handsome and... Also cute when your face turns... You know?" Asher felt like he wanted to bury his face away from how much he was embarrassed, though he fought the urge before he looked at Adya and spoke "Of course I meant, it honestly feels more like a fact than a compliment with how pretty you are" Asher's eyes then widened as he realized he had said that out loud "I--uh--I said that out loud didn't I?" he then absent mindly nodded at her words as he was still feeling embarrassed from his previous comment.

The intention of walking into the library was on spot altered into something else. It isn't rare that something had always been present to pull her away from books. But this one felt fresh. Asher turned out to be an exciting kind of distraction. A distraction she refused to escape from.

It was for quite a while Adya pretended to not notice him stealing glances at her. She downright enjoyed it. But it's the most self-control she had. Finally, the young girl arched her head to his side, with a quick lift of eyebrows to imply he's been caught.

"Uh- huh" Adya chuckled at his expression, her shoulders shaking in a slight movement. "-Uhmm thanks" she added. If truth be told, Adya never perceived herself as beautiful nor did she ever try to gussy up to present herself as one.

When being complimented for her features, Adya would word out a small thanks and move on. There never had been a wide smile with her heart seemingly skipping a beat until this very moment. What the heck is wrong with her?

A sudden craving for food hit her. "Asher, do you like candies?-" as she dug inside her Jean pocket. grasping out the candies of orange, lemon, watermelon and grape-flavoured ones. "Fast, I don't know if it's allowed here- pick one- or all of it- except for the orange" Adya whispered.

Once she scanned the area to see if no one was looking, Adya unwrapped the candy and tossed it in her mouth quickly. It was at the very moment she realized she can't think about hippogriff anymore, she gave up on the creature. Only for a day though. "Do you like spending time in the library? How come we never cross paths before?" as she rested her cheek on the palm of her propped-up elbows.

The jig was up as Adya caught Asher sneeking glances at her, he had a feeling that she noticed earlier but didn't say anything about it. She also smiled a smile that simply melted Asher's heart, it was a strange feeling yet he couldn't get enough of it.

Suddenly she asked Asher if he liked candy and grabbed a bunch of differently colored candy and asked him to pick one quickly since they might not be allowed in the library, except the orange one. He picked a random one and unwrapped it and popped it into his mouth, he preferred some types of candies over the others but he doesn't dislike any type of it.

It was then that Adya asked Asher if he likes to spend time in the library, she also mentioned that it was pretty weird that they never crossed paths before. "Ah, well I don’t usually talk with anybody when I come to the library, I always come to either study or read about a specific topic."

Asher looked at Adya for a a few seconds before he spoke again. "Umm, you know we should-um-hang out together sometime, if you want to of course." Asher wasn't sure what he would do if she refused, but he had a feeling that he wouldn't stick to his usual pattern of behavior if she did.

Adya nodded to every single utterance of Asher. Something is mesmerizing about this boy. Is it the way he compliments her? Is it the way he blushes after doing so? (Though she used to have fun but nothing more than that when someone reacts the same). Is it the way he chose her over Acromantulas? Wait! Did he do that just to be polite? She brushes away the silly thought.

Not to mention his voice! She seemed to be spellbound by it. Her eyes were fixated on his features whenever she talked. The little movement of the strands of his dark hair tempted her. Adya folded her arms to stop herself from attempting to stroke it. No matter how tempting it was, it's a no now.

Her heart is overwhelmed with an unnamed feeling. Her mind is struggling to identify what exactly in the hell she was feeling. The girl remained unmoved until she realized she left his offer hanging. "Oh- yes- why not?- we should- definitely- I love the idea actually" the girl turned her gaze to her book after providing different versions of the same yes.

Adya had so much to say, so much to ask in her but her tongue stuck and she could do nothing but dart her eyes between Asher and the book. After a while, when her eyes caught the glimpse of the clock, "Today seems to be so short, Got to go, bye Asher". A little wavering smile, with that, Adya reluctantly pushed herself off the bench and made her way out.

Asher's face beemed with a smile when Adya agreed to his request, he for some reason couldn't take his mind off her. He felt captured by her features and beauty and simply couldn't shake the strange feeling he had in his guts.

Asher tried to identify the feeling he was feeling, it made him warm and fuzzy when he thought about Adya and he can't get enough of this feeling, he had never felt this way before towards, well, anything so he wasn't sure what he was feeling, happiness? Embarrassment? No he was familiar with those feelings so it couldn't be them, it was something different, something he never felt before.

A stray though emerged when his eyes landed om the book between them, this was the first time he had come to the library and didn't read anything, he had by some miracle ended up deviating from his usual routine where he spent most of his time studying and practicing spells, and that miracle came in the form of one beautiful girl called Adya.

He was snapped put of his thoughts when Adya reminded him that they don't have that long as she glanced at the clock "Yeah, goodbye Adya, I will-uh-see you later" he smiled at her, a little saddened they couldn't spend more time together, he hoped that they would have more opportunities to spend more time in the future, and like that both Asher and Adya made their way out of the library, which marked the end of a not so normal day at the library.
