Herbology Professor of Herbology's Office

Maybe besides being a generally kind-hearted, well-intentioned, open, and friendly student when other people are not mean to her, one other reason Rita was sorted into Hufflepuff is that she has that natural fascination towards plants and animals, either magical or non-magical. Due to her muggle-born background, the Second Year Hufflepuff with short black hair had limited knowledge of magical plants and animals, but she is always eager to learn more. She had already learned some knowledge of magical creatures from her friend @Daphne Sapphirus, and she decided that the best way to learn more about magical plants is to visit the Herbology professor`s office and ask the professor for some help. Speaking of the Herbology professor, their beloved professor, Tuesday Irons, had stepped down the role last December, and now the person in charge of the rule was a young and somewhat beautiful women called Nancy McLoughlin. The Second Year Hufflepuff was not very familiar with Ms. McLoughlin, so maybe a visit to her office was a good way to get to know the professor better.

So, there the Second Year Hufflepuff was, in the herbology professor`s office. When Rita walked into the office, she was immediately amazed by the variety of plants decoration there. Seeing Ms. McLoughlin sitting on her desk, the Second Year Hufflepuff waved to the herbology professor with a friendly smile, "Hi, Ms. McLoughlin! Sorry to disturb you! I`m wondering if I could come here and pay a look to some of your plants and maybe you can introduce me to some of them?Hope you don`t mind that, I`ll be very careful not to hurt myself or your plants!"

Nancy smiled at the students that had walked into her office. She did not know the names of most of her students, but she was slowly getting there. What made Nancy even happier was that the girl seemed to actually be interested in the plants, the woman had met quite a few students who absolutely hated that class and did not want to get their hands dirty.

"Oh, no worries. Rita, correct?" Nancy did not want to seem like a fool and not know her students names, but it was not something she was good at and was slowly getting better with. "Would you like to start off by looking at the plants in here, or we can start off with some of the plants out in the greenhouse? The plants in here are mostly mundane ones, nothing that special about them sadly." The blonde loved all of her plants like they were children, but she did have a soft spot for the magical ones more than the mundane ones. Yes, she had Jeff the Venus Fly Trap but he was really the exception to her favoritism.

Slowly standing up from her desk, Nancy looked around the room, plants hanging off of and sitting on every possible surface. Maybe she did have a bit of a problem when it came to her plants.

Rita also showed a friendly smile when Ms. McLoughlin smiled at the Second Year Hufflepuff as the Herbology professor replied. "Ms. McLoughlin really seems to be a nice professor, hopefully I can form a good relationship with her and don`t cause any trouble in the green house." The Hufflepuff with short black hair thought, before opening up her mouth to speak, "Yeah, my name is Rita. It`s OK, I know you have to remember the name of a lot of students. And you mean the plants in the green house would be more interesting? I agree to that, since I believe they are the magical ones. So, I suppose in that sense, going into the green house to see the more interesting plants there would be better. Could we go to the green house now? I promise I will be careful with the magical plants there!"

After Rita finished her speech, the Second Year Hufflepuff smiled and waited for the Herbology professor to reply as she watched the professor got up and began to look after the plants in her room. The Hufflepuff also began to pay a closer look to the plants in the office while she was waiting for the professor to reply, and she had to admit there were a lot of them, and a wide variety of them. "Ms. McLoughlin must have to pay a lot of effort to look after the plants here, cos there are so many of them!" The black-haired Hufflepuff thought as she was paying a closer look to the wide range of plants in Ms. McLoughlin`s office while she waited for the professor to reply and determine the next step.

Nancy had been working with some of the plants in the first greenhouse, Emrys weaving his way between the plants when she heard a knock on the door. Glancing up in confusing, a soft smile formed on her face at the sight of one of her students. She remembered the girl was a first year, but she could not remember what house the girl was in. Although what house she was in did not really matter in the end because their house did not define who they were in the end. "Come in, come in. You don't need to knock to come into the greenhouse." Quickly she set down the plant that she had been holding, making sure it was safely set away from the edge of the table she was at. The blonde did not want something accidentally getting knocked onto the floor because it was too close to the edge of the table.

"What can I help you with today?" She questioned, wiping some soil off of her hands and onto the apron that she was wearing. It was not something that she wore often, especially while teaching classes, but it came in handy on days like today where she was too lazy to walk and get everything she needed and could just carry it around with her instead.
