Helpful notes pv Rita Closed

It was a Tuesday afternoon, Jan 10th, and unwillingly, Rita again entered the study room. The Second Year Hufflepuff with short black hair was definitely an outdoorsy type of person and would rather take her lovely cat Peanut for a stroll in an outdoor area such as the courtyard, just admiring the scenery and maybe having a casual small talk with some new people or old friends then simply spend the whole afternoon doing that dreadful History of Magic or DADA homework she would never enjoy doing. She obviously knew that these two subjects are clearly important to her to protect herself from dangerous dark arts and the learn more about the magic world, but she just found these two subjects extremely boring and her grades of these two subjects were also not very satisfying. However, she had to complete that homework and pull up her grades since she really does not want to disappoint the professors and her parents, particularly the later one, since they have high expectations and are relatively strict to her. Anyway, despite that she really did not want to do that dull homework, she entered the study room reluctantly just for the sake of completing that homework.

On the particular afternoon, there were not many people in the room, and a brown-haired Ravenclaw girl Rita had seen before somewhere but not that familiar with quickly caught Rita`s attention. The girl really seemed to be very hard-working, a stereotypical Ravenclaw trait, since she had brought a lot of books which she lay on the big table and was carefully reading one of them. Anyway, the Second Year Hufflepuff got curious about what book the other girl was reading and decided to sit next to the brown-haired Ravenclaw girl and ask her about that.

Anyway, the Second Year Hufflepuff walked closer to the other Ravenclaw girl and stood next to her. "Sorry to disturb you from reading that book carefully, and could I sit here next to you to complete my homework? Hope you won`t mind that!" Rita whispered to the other girl, and began to take out her quill, ink, and parchment to complete that DADA homework she did not want to but have to do.

Rita was just about to sit down on the seat beside the other girl when the other Ravenclaw girl looked up and greeted to the Second Year Hufflepuff with a friendly smile, allowing her to sit down. The other girl also said that she was just finding a place to read her books and introduced herself as Clair Fernandez, a second year Ravenclaw and broom racer. "Oh, Clair seemed to be quite nice, maybe we can chat a little, but I must remember the main reason I come here is to complete my nasty DADA and HoM homework. The study room seems to be quieter than other places, so it is better for me to concentrate on my homework here. I need to complete the homework as soon as possible, so that I can leave plenty of time for a relaxing stroll later this afternoon." The Second Year Hufflepuff thought.

"Thanks, it`s OK, you stuff are not taking too much place. There is still plenty of space for me. I am just working on my DADA and HoM homework." Rita responded to the other girl also with a warm smile, "By the way, my name is Rita, Rita Su, Second Year Hufflepuff and first-string beater in the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. Glad to meet you, Clair, now unto my homework." After a short introduction, the Second Year Hufflepuff went straight into completing her dreadful homework without waiting for the other girl for response. She knew there was a lot of homework waiting for her to complete, and although small talk was something the Second Year Hufflepuff usually enjoy, she did not want to waste time on those meaningless chats today.Interacting with: @Clair Fernandez

When Clair replied to her, Rita raised her head a little bit to listen to what the Ravenclaw girl was talking about for a short period of time before quickly burying her head into the large amount of homework she needed to do. Although small, casual talks are something the Second Year Hufflepuff usually enjoys, at that particular moment, all she needed to do was focus on her homework and did not let herself being distracted by the distracting chats. However, it seemed that Clair was being helpful by offering the Hufflepuff some books that could be used for her homework. "She really seems to be helping me by offering me her books! Such a helpful girl! I happen to be struggling with this particular DADA question so maybe I can find a book from her list of books for some supporting information and have a few words with her by the way." The black-haired Hufflepuff thought before she got up from her seat to get some of Clair`s books.

"Yeah, I can`t agree more. I really like the freedom and the thrill of flying in the sky on my broom!" The Hufflepuff whispered to the other Ravenclaw girl as she was picking up one of Clair`s books, "By the way, it`s so nice of you to offer me those books! I happen to be struggling with one of the homework questions so I think your books might be helpful! Thank you so much for offering those books!" After a few words with Clair and picking up her books, the Second Year Hufflepuff returned to her seat and quickly began to turn the pages and trying to find an answer to that particular question. "Hopefully, those curriculum-related books can be helpful. But either way, Clair is being very helpful by offering me those books." The Second Year Hufflepuff thought while turning those pages.

Sorry for the late reply, extended hiatus due to family issues.

Sadly, when Rita looked at Clair`s books for the first time, she did not find the answer to that particular question. Feeling a bit disappointed, the Second Year Hufflepuff frowned and decided to try again, this time read the book more slowly. "I guess I just read the book too quickly and too impatiently last time. Let me try to read more slowly and carefully this time. Hopefully I would find the answer to that question on my second reading." The black-haired Hufflepuff thought while beginning to read more carefully and slowly this time.

Maybe sensing Rita did not find the answer from the books Clair gave her for the first time, Clair then offered to help the Hufflepuff beater with the DADA homework. "Oh, I guess I would just read your book for the second time, I was just reading too quickly and impatiently last time. Thank you for your help anyway." The black-haired Hufflepuff responded.

Rita`s efforts finally paid off. On a closer and more careful reading of the book Clair offered her, she finally found that answer she needed. "I found the answer thanks to your book. Maybe I should read more carefully next time."

"As for DADA, I actually find it to be quite difficult and sometimes I cannot understand the concept and have to ask the professor for help. Maybe you can help me understand some concepts next time." Rita finished her speech while burying her head in the books, trying her best to do more homework in the limited period of time spent in the study room. The Hufflepuff has to agree that the study room is smaller and not as crowded as the library and noisy as the great hall, so it was a lot easier to concentrate on her work. She loved chatting with friends and new people as well as participating in all kinds of activities, but she knew when it comes to schoolwork, she has to be serious in order to not let her parents and the professor feel disappointed.

Rita was glad that those books Clair provided to her were quite useful to her study. The second-year curriculum did seem to be a little tough for Rita, and there were a lot more homework that needed to be done in the study room compared with her first year. The black-haired Hufflepuff first-string beater had to admit she struggle with the schoolwork from time to time, from understanding the content in the class, to doing the loads of homework that needed to be done and submitted. Adding to this, there was the Quidditch training and other events and activities around the school, so balancing the schoolwork and other activities as well as meeting the deadlines for submitting the homework was also quite a struggle for second year Hufflepuff beater with short straight black hair and a pair of yellow glasses. "Maybe I can ask Clair for some tips of time management when I finished that piece of homework? I wonder if she could help, she seems to be one of the top students in our class anyway!" The Second Year Hufflepuff beater thought.

Luckily, after quite a struggle and spending quite some time in the study room, Rita eventually finished her homework. The black-haired Second Year Hufflepuff beater then turned to Clair and decided to throw the Ravenclaw girl with a question in a low voice not to disturb others.

"I finally finished my homework, Clair. There really is a lot of homework!" Rita sighed, then continued to speak to the other girl that seemed to be reading a book, "Can I ask you a question? How do you manage the workload and other activities and events such as sport practice and errands? I know that is a quite stupid question, but I really struggle with balancing schoolwork and other things around homework and meeting all the deadlines for my homework."
