Yes but this is a pretty big deal IC and the Process OOC etc. is also a pretty big deal. I hope you thought everything through with Lucian and Thorn before posting because this will get Ava in very very serious trouble and there's a good chance she will get expelled, which won't be very convenient for you OOC and IC. This is going to be/this is already a big process and pretty...extreme..

True, but to be fair, this would have been much more private without the dirty laundry sharing thread!

I think, as an experiment, it's showing two things: one, you're right Bea, that everyone knows, even people who really shouldn't know at all (like, Gryffindors, Ravenclaws, Hufflepuffs); and two, that we really can't use publicised drama for any effective future RP. Because everyone knows, it'll be much harder for students to gossip about it and HM Lear won't be able to drop a bombshell announcement.

It's also kind of embarassing, really, for me as a Slytherin player to find out that something happened in my own dorm from a Gryff! Simply because an update had been made to that public thread.

EDIT: All of this in addition to the mechanics points you bring up!

When I choose a character with foreign origins I usually like giving them an "obviously foreign sounding name" hey Hildegard Schneider .
So for Ingebrigtsen I just googled nowegian family names and took the most norwegian sounding one.
For Astra I wanted something that was related to astronomy and that norwegian origins. The closest I found was "Astri", but it sounded like a made up name so I hesitated between Astrid and Astra, Astrid had some north origins and Astra had an obvious astronomy related sounding to it.
Really hesitated between both x')

I'm currently writing a novel, where Larino is a really stuck-up eagle who just fights with the main character despite them both being on the same team. Of course, he had to be human, and I soon found that having that personality didn't really fit me, so I changed this version of him a little, and his surname is the name of a fish-like race in the novel.

The Japanese bit, well, my little autistic brain one day decided to have a new special interest of Japanese culture despite being from the UK with absolutely no family abroad, and since I love the culture surrounding Japan, and Asia as a whole really- it's so interesting!
