Malfoy's First Meeting

Irina:
Reducio
That was the invitation Irina wrote as soon as she arrived at the dorm after winter break. She had spoken with her dormmate Beatrice and Elira, the three had agreed to arrange Narcissa Malfoy's first meeting in the dorm.

Once she had all the invitations made and ready to hand them out, Irina went to all the rooms and threw each thin sheet of parchment through the bottom of their doors. Hopefully everyone will receive one of those letters and will attend their meeting!

Irina and Beatrice's dorm was decorated in white, black and green in honor of their beloved Narcissa Malfoy. In the center of the room, between the two beds, there was a soft black blanket on the floor, surrounded by fluffy pillows and cushions in white, silver and green fabrics. In the middle, was a book with a bottle on top, ready to be spun.

Irina's desk had been cleared of all her painting and drawing supplies, while Beatrice's was empty of her usual stuff. They joined them, making room for all the treats, sweets and drinks. Both tables were covered with a dark green tablecloth, black candles were lit in silver candlesticks and a centerpiece was made with black and white roses.

Ree brought out some chocolate cupcakes and also green tea. She had placed the silver plate with the dark brown pastries on the table, as well as her white tea set. After that, she sat down on one of the pillows with her sketchbook. She started making some draws waiting for the others to arrive.

Elira:
Reducio
Elira walked into her empty dorm, with the book 'quidditch through the ages' in hand. She had just left the peaceful library, where she sat there reading for a couple of hours, trying to pass the time.

Once she closed the door behind her, she noticed a small, dark green invitation by her feet. It read:
Reducio

7th of january, 17:30. Virgin butterbeer and a tote bag full of honeydukes candy stood on her dormmate's desk, as she quickly got changed for the Malfoy dorm meeting that started in half an hour.

Once Elira was finally dressed, she styled her hair with a magic curling iron her parents had sent her in the mail as one of her birthday presents, and left the room, tote bag over her shoulder and a big, heavy box of virgin butterbeer bottles.

She made her way to Irina and Bea's dorm, and struggled to knock on the door without dropping the box. Elira took a quick glance at her watch, and it read 17:54. She was a bit earlier than expected, but she was sure that would be alright.

Guinevere:
Reducio
a few days after break had ended, guinevere, who was playing with her cat in her dorm, noticed a dark green note slid under her door. after reading it, she was intrigued and planned to attend. as for snacks and treats, she would bring a packet of bubble gum and some every-flavor beans. when the day arrived, she tied her hair up in a knot, keeping her look: slytherin robes, her favorite black boots, and black flared jeans. she also planned to bring aeluin with her, as the blue-eyed tabby was a smart kitty and could sit on command. it was still early, so guinevere waited for a while to proceed to the hosting dorm. she knocked twice on the door, then waited for an answer.
“don’t run, aelu,” she said to her cat when she tried to run. “sit!” the cat paced around, then sat on its haunches. she hoped it would be okay to bring her cat; after all, there were many people in the malfoy dorms, and aeluin could get… hard to control sometimes, knocking things over and running around with a puffed-up tail. she picked up her cat and said to her, “save me some face, please.”

Beatrice:
Reducio
Beatrice looked into the mirror, brushing out her hair in a calm, almost zoned out way. She stood in one of the shared bathrooms that you could enter from the shared dorm space. For Beatrice, that was the Narcissa Malfoy dorm. She had taken a shower and just gotten out a few minutes ago. Dressed in comfortable clothes, Beatrice was now attampting to braid her hair so she would have waves in the morning. Before she had left her dorm, Irina and her had decorated it and set out a variety of snacks. Irina brought cup cakes as well as green tea while Beatrice brought sweet and salty snacks from home. She had gotten several chocolate frogs and other sweets and of course money envelopes from her parents rich friends, at the Dupont Ball as Christmas gifts.

One may wonder why the two girls had decorated their dorm and set out food. Well, today was going to be the first Narcissa Malfoy dorm meeting. Irina had made super cute invitation cards and slipped them under everyone's door.

Once Beatrice's thick dark hair was braided into one long braid, she took everything that she needed to take back and walked out of the bathroom. Her legs carried her through the communal dorm space and into one of the small halls that Irina and Beatrice had their dorm in. When she saw someone standing in front of it, Beatrice immediately stopped walking. There were already two girls standing in front of her dorm. One girl seemed to be talking to her cat and the other was struggling to hold onto a box. Beatrice took a deep breath before continuing to walk.

»Hello!« Beatrice said with a small smile, stopping next to the two girls. She suddenly felt rather weird in her comfortable pyjama like outfit. The two other girls were very pretty and both dressed better than Beatrice. »You don't have to wait outside, you can just go in.« she said, opening the door and walking in. She wasn't quite sure if the two girls would follow her, so she turned around after a few steps. »Oh, I'm Beatrice by the way!« when Beatrice turned back around, Irina was sitting on one of the pillows. Beatrice felt very relieved that Irina was also wearing her pyjamas. A smile formed on her lips as she put her stuff away and then sat down next to Irina.

»You can put your stuff down anywhere you would like.« Beatrice said to the girl holding a box and then looked at the other girl. »And of course you can both sit down.« she said to both. »Your cat is super cute.« Beatrice smiled, trying to make the two more comfortable.

Elira:
Reducio
Elira stood by the door patiently, with another girl who she didn't recognize, speaking to her cat in a foreign language. Her cat was cute: a tabby with gorgeous blue eyes. The girl herself was really pretty too, with long dark brown hair, which looked like it was styled as a wolfcut. She was quite tall, standing at about 5'6 170cm, which was approximately 3 inches taller than her.

"Cute cat you've got there." Elira said, smiling.

Just then, another girl, dressed in a cozy pyjama-like outfit, stopped in front of them. This girl also had lond dark brown hair, braided. She seemed nervous, perhaps embarassed even. Elira tilted her head a bit to one side, and flashed the girl a grin, trying to show that she wasnt as intimidating as she looks. The new girl gave them a quick greeting, before introducing herself as 'Beatrice', and let them into the dorm, where another girl, with purple-dyed hair, sat on one of the pillows.

"Hey. I'm Elira, nice to meet you guys." Elira said, giving the girls a quick introduction and placing the box of butterbeer down, along with her totebag. "I love how you decorated this room, you're really killing it with the narcissa theme!"

Guinevere:
Reducio
the door opened and a girl in comfy-looking clothing stepped out, introducing herself as beatrice and telling her and the girl besides her that they could come in. inside the dorm, guinevere found it was very nicely decorated, which guinevere liked. the other girl introduced herself as elira, which meant it was her turn to speak.
“awh, thanks,” she said first to the two girls as they gave her aeluin compliments. “I think your name’s very pretty,” she told elira with a smile. “i’m guinevere russetwood. I really like the decorations too. it looks great!”
she came in and saw another girl, presumably irina, if she remembered correctly. she set her packet of gum and every flavor beans on the table and sat down on the carpet, which was surprisingly soft. aeluin had trotted into the dorm after her, and was curiously sniffing the air, padding around the floor, and meowing. guinevere realized she should probably also introduce her cat, if she would be staying for the whole time. “this is aeluin, my cat, by the way. shes around two human years old, and can be quite a handful at times. shes a real angel until she knocks the ink pot over on the floor.”

Jannette:
Reducio
Saturday was probably one of Jannette’s favorite days, but for some reason, this Saturday felt a little different. While the Niffler enjoyed the adventures she had during her Winter Break it sucked that she really only had one day left till everything was back to normal: classes, the school being packed, homework, and worst of all, fixing her sleep schedule (which she still hasn't done!). Even with all these annoyances, maybe it’ll feel like a typical Saturday after the cute invitation her friend, Irina Sousa sent to all the girls in the Narcissa Malfoy dorms. The invitation was enticing; a game of Truth or Dare!

Heading to the dorm with her kitten in hand, Jannette would knock on the door, though it would be pointless as she’d just open the door anyways, and peek her head inside.. “Ooooh, t'ank Merlin!~'”1 She'd sigh in relief, “Oi though’ i’d be in duh wrong dorm fer some reason.”2 She chuckled, as a toothy grin appeared on her face. She’d look around to her surroundings, she noticed Irina, and Beatrice but not the other two Slytherin girls. Her eyes would continue to roam before entering the room, her green eyes now set on a new prize, “OOooUuuu cupcake!~” Jannette would take the chocolate cupcake, ignoring if there were any plates, and begin to take off the papery cup. The Niffler would then pinch half of the chocolate cake off and puts it on top of the frosting, making a chocolate cupcake sandwich! She’d then take a bite with her one hand, make yummy sounds as chocolate crumbs would fall on the floor. Yeah, this was definitely worth it!

Sitting down crisscross applesauce on the pillow and place Melrose on her lap. Jannette’s mouth opens in the form of an ‘O’ shape, as she’d lean her head forward and just look as if she was mesmerized by Guineveres cat, “Well HI there baby!~'' Jannette sings in a high pitch voice,, “Awww she’s such uh swee’ie!!!~”3 While saying that, Melrose (Jannettes cat), would take a peek from Jannettes lap, wondering what the heck all the fuss is about and now Melrose understood why! It was another cat, and Melrose eyes would grow wide as she’d do the opposite of her owner and pull her head back a little and just started to stare into Aeliun soul. “Ooooh oi’m Jannette by dah why – pleasah t’mee’ yah t'ree, especially t'is li'le cu'ie roigh' 'ere!~"4 She'd coo toward Aeliun, before looking down to her orange tabby kitty, "‘n t'is is Melrose.”5 Jannette begins to pick up her cat, and hoists her into the air like she was Simba from the Lion King. "She can be a li'le shy aroun' new faces..."6 But Melrose wasn't having any of it, instead, Melrose just gives a rather grouchy look toward Aleiun, as she'd wait for her owner to put her down.

Those two would will get along just fine!

Thorn:
Reducio
Thorn had been excited ever since she had got the invitation to the first Malfoy dorm meeting. It would be a good chance to meet new people and bond with Rina and Jannette. She knew Rina and her hadn't gotten off on the right foot so maybe that would change during the meeting. Besides she loved truth or dare, I mean what Slytherin doesn't! Her brothers had actually encouraged her to go to the meeting which was weird since they barely let her out of their sight. Maybe it was because Cobra was all over Rina which now that she thought about it was kind of gross since he was a 7th year. "Welp, Basilisk had always said he was headed for Azkaban one way or another.

"Hello my fellow Slytherins!" She said waving as she entered the room. She gazed around at the group. She saw Jannette and Rina, that's when her eyes settled on a certain girl. She was drop dead gorgeous, she was dressed in all white and had her hair in a braid. Thorn could feel her face getting hot. She quickly dropped her gaze to the floor and shuffled over to Rina and Jannette and plopped down between the two. "Is my face still red" she asked Jannette and Rina patting her face. She spotted some a box of butterbeer and quickly grabbed one chugging it hoping it would make her face less red.

Guinevere:
Reducio
Ava listened quietly as Colin and Guinevere tried to get some of them out of trouble. Oddly, Jannette looked the most afraid as if this detention held her life sentence. Ava liked Guinevere’s argument the most, probably because it included her, but she noticed one person both arguments had missed.
“I completely agree with Colin and Guinevere, prefects. I mean, mostly Guinevere but that doesn’t matter. Some of us,” She pointed at Jannette and Beatrice then very very slowly moved her finger to Irina. Ava wasn’t very happy about that last edition, to be honest. “But both of them missed someone who also did nothing and has been nothing but helpful. Elira.” Ava smiled at her roommate, feeling a lot better once she said it. Her vision didn’t seem as clouded and her cheek didn’t ache so much. “Also, I don’t think it’s fair to say that me and Guinevere got in trouble because we were defending ourselves. I really did no damage.” Ava did sigh heavily at that, she would really like to punch Lucian where it hurt. “And Guinevere was protecting me. I don’t think we even broke any rules.” Ava tan through the rules the prefect had said they had broken. It was Cassandra who had spoken them, and Ava was the least bit familiar with her, though probably not friendly after her she had treated her. Cassandra had also been the one to bust them jumping into the lake earlier that year, so she probably didn’t like Ava very much. She was beginning to like Cassandra though, because of the little rant she had about not hitting a girl. Ever. Ava thought about the rules broken and was pretty sure Lucian had broken every single one except for the weapons one. Ava smirked at him, though she hid it from the prefects line of sight.

Irina:

Rina just had sit on one of the fluffy pillows on the floor when she heard a first knock on the door followed by voices outside her dorm. Soon, before she could got up to open the door, Beatrice entered the room. Behind her, where two more girls. Irina recognized them from seeing both before, but never had introduced herself. “Hey there! Welcome to out dorm!” Irina said happily smiling at them. With a movement of her hand she mentioned the circle of pillows and cushions, “Please feel comfortable and take a seat!”. Beatrice came over her and seated down next to her while saying her name to the girls. Irina thought she should follow the example, “I’m Irina Sousa, in case you don’t know it yet! But you can call me Rina or Ree!” The tall brown-haired girl said her name was Elira. She had bought butterbeer! “Oh Merlin you’re genius Elira! Love those!” Irina said enthusiastically getting up to go pick one of the bottles. Then opening it and after take a sip she turned to the other girl that was saying her name was Guinevere and her adorable cat was Aeluin. “I love your cat’s name Guinevere! And she looks lovely!” Irina said smiling brightly at the beautiful tabby feline, “And…well! That’s say she’s not the only one having troubles with ink pots! Right Bea?” Irina asked playfully to her dorm mate making a funny grimace, while returning to her pillow next to her friend.

Another knocked was heard and the door was immediately open and a brunette head with round glasses just popped up from behind it. Obviously she had brought Melrose with her! “Hi Janny! Yeah those cupcakes are delicious aren’t they?!” Irina asked with a malicious glint on her eyes. “Hi Melrose! How are you?” She asked while patting her softly at her cheeks.

After a while, another familiar voice came to her ears, Thorn Cullen had also arrived. Irina sighed heavily before letting her hand fall from Melrose and turn her eyes towards the other purple-haired girl “in the house”! The expression she saw in the other tho, caught her a little by surprise, was she blushing? Why? Ree followed the girls gaze and her own eyes landed on Beatrice seated at her right side. Oooh Bea? A mischievous smile formed on the curly-haired Slytherin's face. Irina took another sip on her butterbeer to cover her laugh and what she had just found out about the purple devil. "Is my face still red?” Thorn asked while plopped down on the pillows between her and Jannette, “No, not at all!” Irina answered ironically. “So what do you say,” she started towards all the girls there,”should we start spinning our bottle?” She knew exactly what she wanted to do if fortune was on her side and the bottle picked Thorn as her first “victim”!

Beatrice:
Reducio
One of the Girls introduced herself as Elira. Eliras had brought butter beer and she also complimented their dorm. Irina had done much more in the Dorm than Beatrice, she really was amazing and the place was in fact decorated beautifully. The other girl that had stood in front of the door introduced herself as Guinevere Russetwood. She seemed a tiny bit older than Beatrice and the others, which led her to the conclusion that Guinevere was probably a second year. She introduced her cat, Aeluin and said something about knocking over Ink Pots. Her gaze immediately met Irina's, who was getting herself a butter beer. “And…well! That’s say she’s not the only one having troubles with ink pots! Right Bea?” Irina asked in a playful tone and Beatrice immediately started grinning. Before she could say anything tho, another knock could be heard. Jannette's head followed the knock, as the brown haired girl stuck her head through the door. Beatrice grinned at Jannette while she wandered over to the Cupcakes, taking one and eating it. Apparently Jannette had also brought her cat because a orange tabby kitty entered the room with her.

After a while, another Person entered the room. Beatrice frowned as the girls face turned red and she sat down between Irina and Jannette. Had she seen this girl before? She seemed so familiar but after such a big amount of Balls that Beatrice had attended over the holidays, a lot of people started to seem familiar.

Beatrice stood up, getting herself one of the cupcakes that Irina had brought and took it with her to where she had been sitting, plopping down on the pillow again. She took a generous bite and met eyes with one of the cats. Which one was which again? Aeluin or Melrose? Either way, the cat was staring at her. ”Should we start spinning our bottle?” Beatrice was very glad that Irina had spoken up because it allowed her to look away from the staring cat and at her friend.

»Yes we should, once the others arrive, they can just join!« Beatrice said once she had swallowed her bite. They tasted very good but something was slightly off. What had Irina put in these? Was that a hint of some herb? She decided to not think about it too much and just continued to eat the cupcake.

Elira:
Reducio
“Oh Merlin you’re genius Elira! Love those!” the purple-haired girl said, and Elira smiled. "No problem!" she responded, and took a bottle for herself, popping it open, and taking a sip.

Sitting on one of the pillows awkwardly, Elira looked round. She hadn't really talked to any of these girls before: and they all seemed to know each other really well.
'I should leave.. I dont belong here, everyone knows each other so goddamn well...' she thought, shifting her position on the pillow.

Just then, another girl came in, and her face turned bright red, her eyes on Bea.
"Is my face still red." the girl said, and spotted the box of buttebeer, quickly grabbing one.

”Should we start spinning our bottle?” Irina spoke up, addressing all the girls.
"Yes we should, once the others arrive, they can just join." Beatrice said.
"It wouldnt hurt to start now.." Elira said, reaching for a cupcake, and taking a big bite. "these are so good!" elira mumbled, mouth full, then flushed red with embarassment.
"Sorry, i must seem like a total pig right now-", she said after she swallowed. "What's in these?"

Lucian:
Reducio
I finished the last letter to my grandfather and hopped out of bed, I grabbed my glasses and slipped them off my face before hopping out of bed. I remember Ree telling me about the truth or dare game! “Hey buddy,” I greeted Spyro with a grin, I picked him up and placed him on my chest, his small claws digging into me. “Not so tight bud,” I whispered in amusement. I loved my pet, he was nice company for when I am reading booms late a night. Coconut, the Niffler my grandad bought me, is amazing too!

I looked in the mirror and grinned, raking my hand through my hair. I bit my lip, she will be there. Need to look nice for her. I ruffled my hand through my hair. Quietly, I made my way to the dorm and knocked on the door before opening. “Hey guys, Ree said I could join?” but I phrased it more like a question. I looked around, there were quite a few people I had never spoken to before in here and I cleared my throat, playing with my ring. “Hello everyone,” I was glad that I knew a few people. “Can I play?” I asked nervously.

Guinevere:
Reducio
”oh! thanks,” she said when irina complimented her cat’s name. when she had first bought aeluin, the name immediately came into her head, like a spark of inspiration.
seeing everyone else taking bottles of butterbeer, guinevere decided to open one for herself, too.
“no! you don’t seem like a pig at all,” she said to elira, who was looking quite awkward. she took a cupcake and bit into it. “i haven’t tasted this flavor before,” she noted. “what is it?” she asked irina and beatrice.
“yes, I think we should start now,” guinevere put into to the group. “who wants to start-” she trailed off as the door opened and a boy entered. she blinked a few times, not believing her eyes and ears when he said irina had said he could come.
“um, not to be rude, but this is a girls dormitory thing? and if I remember correctly, rule twenty-six: no going into other gender’s dorm areas. sooo,” she trailed off again, realizing she probably sounded like some kind of bratty upperclassman who thought she was better since she was older.
she was always more-or-less bothered when rules were broken, just like how she believed promises shouldn’t be broken, but decided not to mention that, to keep the peace.

Lucian:
Reducio
A girl spoke first, I don’t really know her at all and haven’t seen her in classes so she may be in another year. She looked at me when I entered and said, “Urm, not to be rude, but this is a girls dormitory thing? And if I remember correctly, rule twenty-six: no going into other gender’s dorm areas. Soo,” she trailed off while I stood there like a deer in headlights.

My chest tightened in anxiety.

They were just staring and that girl made me feel like an idiot.

“Well- well- well yeah, I- I know that. But no one saw- saw me! And Ree said I could come, right Ree?” I looked desperately at Ree, trying to breathe normally through the embarrassment.

A sudden thought shot into my brain and I wished it hadn’t.

What if she did this on purpose? Ree knows from the time we pranked Colin that we aren’t allowed in other peoples dorms, she knows that! So… so maybe she only told me I could come so that she could laugh at me when I got rejected. Again.
“You know what I mean, Lucian!" he hissed, pushing me against the wall. His voiced lowered, "You’re a filthy half-breed, Mornstern. Aimee was right about you.

She set you up. She sussed something out, you weren’t normal. There was something… something about you she didn’t like, so she asked me to befriend you. She’s a Slytherin if you hadn’t guessed already," as he spoke, it was like someone stamped on my heart.

"You- you were just faking it?" I asked, and I suddenly stopped feeling like I was going to cry.

I bit my lip and stroked Spyro who was still on my chest. I cleared my throat and adjusted my glasses. “I’ll go if you want me to, sorry to- to erm… I don’t know just- just sorry,” I whispered, head down and about to leave. Idiot

Beatrice:
Reducio
To Beatrice's surprise, Lucian suddenly entered the dorm. She looked up at him with a smile which went over to a frown. How did he get here? Was this even allowed? Guinevere apparently thought of the same thing, 'cause she started speaking up.

“um, not to be rude, but this is a girls dormitory thing? and if I remember correctly, rule twenty-six: no going into other gender’s dorm areas. sooo,” Beatrice noticed that she seemed a little bothered, but so did Lucian.

“Well- well- well yeah, I- I know that. But no one saw- saw me! And Ree said I could come, right Ree?” Lucian tried to defend himself. Beatrice looked at Irina and back at Lucian. Should she say something about this?“I’ll go if you want me to, sorry to- to erm… I don’t know just- just sorry,” the boy put his head down and was obviously about to leave. Beatrice felt awful about Lucian obviously feeling bad, which caused her to find her voice again.

»It's okay Lucian. You can stay. Everyone is welcome here.« Beatrice smiled at the boy but also at Guinevere. She didn't want to make her feel bad, she did have a point in this but for now Beatrice was happy that Lucian and the others were here. It was Irina's and Beatrice's dorm after all, they could decide who stays and who goes.

»Do you want to sit down? We were about to start?« Beatrice asked , tapping the pillow beside her. She was still smiling which felt very very very odd to her since she usually didn't smile that much.

Guinevere:
Reducio
guinevere furrowed her brow at lucian’s words, still unsure. she wrinkled her nose slightly when the boy started looking dejected. come on! where was the air of importance? if he had the gut to trespass, where was the gut to stand up to her?
what kind of people are the sorting hat putting into slytherin these days? she thought, then regretfully thought she was being somewhat harsh. by the looks of it, beatrice would allow lucian to stay. guinevere would be wary of them now. guinevere’s dignity was greatly butchered, but no worries, an emotionless face and a straight back would cover the wound. if her memory served well, guinevere would realize there were two older prefects also in the malfoy dorms. if they chose to come, lucian would be busted, anyways. not her problem.
“come,” she said to aeluin. “be wary of everyone in this room right now,” she warned her cat in korean, so they wouldn’t know. she also covered her tone in a cheery coo, so they would think she was simply playing with aeluin. her smart feline seemed to understand the message; she padded to her owner and stared hard at lucian as he made his next move, her deep azure eyes tracking him like a predator.
“yes, that’s enough distractions for now. let’s start.” guinevere’s plan was simple. reveal as little as possible. give short answers to truths, and try to dig up as much dirt as possible with short questions and dares. okay, she might be overreacting, but it didn’t hurt to be careful, and it wouldn’t be a negative to remind them that no one. butchered. her. dignity.
in the end, she was here to have fun, wasn’t she? at this thought, guinevere would slightly relax.

Ava:
Reducio
Ava was surprised when she found an invitation slipped under her door one day. Elira was out, probably studying or something. Ava flipped open the invitation and read it to herself. It sounded cool to her, but mostly Ava was surprised Irina had invited her, they weren’t exactly besties. Maybe she didn’t know Ava was in this dorm? Ava decided she would go anyway. She left the invitation on Elvira’s desk next to all the art supplies. Ava wouldn’t be surprised if she never saw it, with all the clutter.

Ava scrambled to find something to wear. Nothing seemed to make sense for the occasion. She needed something comfy and casual, but not like pajamas. Maybe a pair of jeans and a T? She settled for some partially ripped jeans, a chain to go on the jeans, a planet necklace, a planet shirt and some green string bracelets for each wrist. Not the most comfy outfit, Ava decided once she took a seat on her bed, but not the worst. Ava flipped open a book to pass the time before the event.

Ava read for awhile. Maybe for too long. Actually, definitely for too long. By the time she arrived there seemed to be something already going on.

“So sorry I’m late!”

Ava looked from shocked face to shocked face in confusion.

“Am I interrupting something?”

Elira:
Reducio
To Elira's surprise, a purple haired boy entered the room, and Beatrice, not to mention Guinevere, seemed surprised. And confused.

“um, not to be rude, but this is a girls dormitory thing? and if I remember correctly, rule twenty-six: no going into other gender’s dorm areas. sooo,” Guinevere spoke up and Elira just flicked her gaze from the girl, back to the boy, who seemed extremely flustered.
“Well- well- well yeah, I- I know that. But no one saw- saw me! And Ree said I could come, right Ree?” he said desperately, “I’ll go if you want me to, sorry to- to erm… I don’t know just- just sorry,” the boy put his head down and was about to leave.

"It's fine, stay. What's breaking some rules gonna do?" Elira spoke up, and smiled at the guy, then took another sip of her butterbeer, moving her bangs out of her face.

»Do you want to sit down? We were about to start?« Beatrice asked , tapping the pillow beside her.

A couple minutes later, the door to the room opened yet again, and Elira looked up. It was her dormmate, Ava.
“So sorry I’m late!” the girl said, then her face changed from a shocked face, to a shocked face in absolute confusion. Was something wrong?
"Hey Ava! Glad to see you made it." Elira said with a friendly smile.
“Am I interrupting something?” Ava spoke again, and El shook her head.
"malfoy dorm meeting, and you're my doormate, and we're both in the malfoy dorm, so come sit down." she said, patting the pillow beside her.

Colin:
Reducio
The scritching of quill on parchment provided a soothing background for Colin's thoughts. They wandered, as they often did, towards the beautiful girl who had stolen his heart, Clair. It had been a lazy Saturday afternoon in January, just perfect for some meditation and pondering on the wonder of life and all the events of his second year so far. And how many of them had been shaped by the most important girls in his life at school, Clair, the girl he loved and AngelFyre, the girl he'd chosen as his closest friend.

The scritching stopped. It had been coming from Luci's part of the dorm. Colin arose from his reverie and took a deep breath. The soft sounds of a boy getting out of his bed could be heard, as well as some muffled conversation. Definitely Luci. Colin wondered what the first year Wolf was up to. Probably no good! And if that was the case, Colin would be very interested indeed to find out what it was!

He sat up in his own bed and watched through the partially closed curtains as his friend and brother Wolf messed around with his hair. Colin rolled his eyes dramatically. He straightened the collar of his shirt and arranged his look. Colin shook his head. What some boys won't do to impress a girl! He reckoned that Luci and Rina were circling each other the way he and Clair were. Colin smiled at the thought. He knew very well that Luci would roll his eyes and shake his own head and poke fun at Colin's own courtship!

As soon as Luci turned to head for the door that led out into the corridor, Colin smirked and his own bare feet landed silently on the wooden floor. He didn't bother messing with his hair or fixing the wayward collar and buttons of his shirt. He also didn't want to get too close to Luci in case he was planning something sneaky! The scent of his pack brother lingered in the corridor. Colin followed. Easy!

Luci was a smart boy, a cunning Wolf. Some areas of the corridor held his scent strongly --- places where, perhaps, the other boy had stood for a moment considering the next move or checking to see if the way was clear of obtrusive Prefects and Dogooders. Not that Colin himself was a bad boy, but, he did appreciate the fine art of sneaking!

He heard a soft knock on a door just around the corner. He poked his head around. Lucian.

Standing at the huge portal that marked the boundary between Boydom and Girldom --- the gateway that led into the mysteries of the dorm of the Noble Narcissa Malfoy. Colin was impressed! He knew Rina lived there. Undoubtedly, Luci was going to repay her recent visit to the dorm of the Noble Regulus Black. Colin's smirk broadened. This was going to be fun!

He waited a few moments. Patience, lad! Let him get comfortable. Let him think he's safe! The smirk spread across Colin's face as the plan coalesced in his mind. He silently padded down the corridor and taking a quick look up and down its dim length, slipped into the Malfoy Dorm. He quickly took in the sight. He knew Jannette and Thorn and Rina and Ava and recognised fellow second year Guinevere. They'd never really met or talked or anything outside of class. But it was Luci he headed for. Colin tried to fake an English accent and make his voice as low as he could make it. Admittedly, that wasn't very low, but he did try hard to make himself sound like a Prefect.

"Lucian Mornstern! What are you doing in the girls' dorm? Do you know how many school rules you're breaking right now?" Colin clapped his left hand onto Luci's shoulder and gripped it as hard as he could, trying not to bust out laughing! Who was he to talk about breaking school rules?

Guinevere:

well. it seemed elira would be siding with the boy, too. she clenched unclenched fists at her side, then drank some butterbeer.
just then, yet another girl entered. seriously, where were all the second year students?? this girl seemed to be elira’s roommate, as elira motioned for her to sit next to her. as if someone had heard her think, the door opened again, and she recognized colin, a second year in some of her classes.
speak of the devil, and he shall appear, she thought, amused, as he pretended to be a prefect and grabbed the other boy by the shoulder, speaking in a thick english accent.
someone's in trouble, she thought with mock-surprise. most likely, colin was simply teasing the younger boy.
she grabbed a piece of her gum and popped it into her mouth, feeling highly entertained at this sudden turn of events. perhaps the second year boy would drag lucian out by his collar. that would be the talk of the year!
she blew a bubble with the gum, which she popped and continued chewing as gracefully as she could.
"so, the game? are you joining?" she asked colin. honestly, she didnt care at this point. might as well call over all the boys to take part in the game. "its truth or dare."

Irina:
Reducio
They had all just agreed to start when someone else came in to the dorm. This time was a boy, Luci. Rina smiled brightly when she saw her friend at the door. She had told him about the meeting and said that he could be joining if he wanted. After all it's her and Bea's room, so with her authorization what would be the problem? “Hey guys, Ree said I could join?” The boy greeted her before greeting everyone else and ask if he could play. Rina was about to answer him, but Guinevere talked first. She was not very pleased to have a boy joining them and breaking the dorm's rules. Irina felt her smile fade and surprise took over her expression at hearing the girl's statement, Who is she? A Goody-two-shoes? In Slytherin? Irina thought sarcastically.

Lucian looked at her desperately, probably thinking or feeling the same as her, “Well- well- well yeah, I- I know that. But no one saw- saw me! And Ree said I could come, right Ree?” The boy said in his defense. "Right! Obviously you can be in my room!" Ree said with the emphasis on the word 'my' and glancing at Guinevere. Even if the girl was older then her, Irina felt that in her space she was still the one in charge! Only Bea could also have a word to it, since the room was hers too. "It's okay Lucian. You can stay. Everyone is welcome here." Beatrice said smiling at him and at Guinevere. Then invited Luci to take a seat on the pillow next to her. Irina felt grateful to her dorm mate and she smiled at her, "Thank you!" She muttered to Bea.

“So sorry I’m late!” Someone said at the door. Irina turned her head to immediately look to the familiar face that was standing there, “Am I interrupting something?” Ava asked. First Thorn, now Ava...why would they choose this dorm too? Fate is a fun killer sometimes! Irina thought feeling a little frustrated. But soon that feeling went away, when another of her closest friends had arrived. He got behind Lucian a hand on the dark-haired boy's shoulder and a weird English accent. Rina understood he was pretending to be a prefect and couldn't stop herself from fall into chuckles, "Common Colin, even with a funny voice we can tell it's you for miles and you know that!" she reminded him with a smirk.

"So, the game? are you joining?" Guinevere asked to the older wolf boy, "its truth or dare." she finished explaining him what game they were about to play. "Woah! That's a true Narcissa Malfoy's dorm mate!" Irina said grinning at Guinevere. "Okay! So, lets start!" Irina said feeling playful and happy among her friend and...well...her almost friends! "I can go first!" she said, reaching further at the center of the soft dark blanket and spinning the bottle. It landed on Elira. Rina smiled mischievously at the brunette girl, "Soooo...lets make a truth to start then!" she said pausing to think about the question she wanted to make, "What is, in your opinion, the worst professor?".

Guinevere:
Reducio
at irina’s sarcastic words, guinevere felt that if she was a cat, her ears would flatten and she would straight up claw that girl. if you specify it’s a girls dorm meeting, why even bother if you’re going to invite a boy straight after? when irina glanced over, guinevere gave her a flat poker face right back, and scoffed when she muttered, “thanks,” to beatrice under her breath. okay, guinevere wasn’t in charge here, and it was a fact everyone knew. guinevere decided to chill off the annoyance by blowing another bubble, and almost spat it out when irina had this sudden change of mood and started saying how she was a “true narcissa malfoy dorm mate”. what do you mean, true dorm mate??
ive been staying in these dorms for a full year more than you, she sneered in her head. alrighty. the game would start, and the first round was from irina to elira, with the former asking elira which professor was the worst.
guinevere coughed to hide her snicker. that? boring!
skip to the fun questions, she thought. to pass time until her turn, guinevere mentally decided what she would ask or dare each person in the group to do. she simply hoped her dignity would not face more butchering in this nightmare of a dorm meeting.

Elira:

"Lucian Mornstern! What are you doing in the girls' dorm? Do you know how many school rules you're breaking right now?"
Elira looked up, and realised that another boy had entered, clapping his left hand on Lucian's shoulder, and speaking with a very thick brittish accent.
"Common Colin, even with a funny voice we can tell it's you for miles and you know that!" Irina spoke, smirking.
"so, the game? are you joining?" Guinevere said to the newcomer, who Elira deducted was called Colin. "its truth or dare."
"Woah! That's a true Narcissa Malfoy's dorm mate!" Irina said grinning at Guinevere. "Okay! So, lets start!". Elira seemed to be a bit confused by that statement, since Guinevere did seem to be highly pressed at the fact there was a boy in this dorm earlier.

Irina spun the bottle, and it landed on Elira. Irina smiled a mischievous smile at her, "Soooo...lets make a truth to start then!" she said pausing to think about the question she wanted to make, "What is, in your opinion, the worst professor?"

Elira thought for a moment. She hadn't really encountered many of the professors yet, and didnt really have any strong opinions of them. And what kind of question was this? That was so boring!

"Uh, in all honesty, i have no strong opinion of any of the teachers so far.. But if i had to choose, i guess maybe the Charms teacher. Because of the homework. How about we make the questions a bit more.. interesting. this is a truth or dare meeting, after all."

Elira sighed, took a sip of butterbeer, and then reached for the bottle, and spun it hard. It landed on the second year, Guinevere.
"What's something you really hope your family never finds out about?" she asked the girl, a smirk creeping over her lips. She had asked this question in previous truth or dare games, and 90% of the time, the answer was usually quite interesting.

She took another sip of butterbeer, and waited for the girl's response.

This better be good.

Alora:
Reducio
Giving Alora a time was perhaps the worst thing in the world. The invite had clearly stated to go after supper around six; somehow, it was seven, and she was making her way to the dormitory. It was silly, and she should have been there. There was no reason for her not to, and yet, with her phone had died earlier in the school year and not having any alarm to keep her honest, she had found herself rushing and changing into her PJs before racing in with a messy bun and an apologetic smile on her lips. Like this, it was unmistakable that she had a secret rainbow in her hair.

"I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!" she said, entering the room with charisma, a hand in the air with two fingers up. A story she had read over the summer. One of her brother's books. "Sorry I'm late. Dare me, I deserve it," she told her fellow dormmates and paused as she noticed a few more people. "Oh hey Colin, Lucian...fancy seeing you here..." she perked a brow as she padded barefoot to settle on a cushion and grab a cupcake and a drink on the way. She stuffed her face a bit.

"Who's kitty is that? It's gorgeous," she squeaked at the sight of a pretty tabby. "Sorry I'm late, mum says I'll be late at my own funeral," she chuckled, shoving more cupcake in her face to stop herself from talking too much.

Guinevere:

be careful of what you wish for, they say. guinevere wished for fun questions and here she was, being asked what she hoped her parents never found out about. she decided to give the first answer off the top if her head:
“there’s nothing, really,” she said. “it wouldn’t be the complete end of the world if my parents found out, but once in elementary, they had grounded me, but still I wanted to go out, so I used to jump out the window to wander the forests with my friends. might not be the juicy secret yall were hoping for but honestly nothing big slips past my parents.”
she took the bottle and spun it hard, and landed on lucian. guinevere felt a smirk start spreading on her face, and was about to deliver her verdict when the door banged open and a girl shouted, “I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!” guinevere raised her eyebrows skeptically at the girl.
“she’s mine,” guinevere spoke. “I’m guinevere russetwood and this is aeluin, my cat!”
“and you are?”
she decided to go back to giving Lucian his truth after the girl had spoke.
“my question to you…” she dragged it along for further suspense. “If you could date any girl in your year right now, who would it be?”
the question was extremely popular, as she had found over the years, and she looked forward to hearing his answer.

Beatrice:

Another girl entered the room but Beatrice's attention was drawn to another boy that entered and laid his hand on Lucians shoulder. "Lucian Mornstern! What are you doing in the girls' dorm? Do you know how many school rules you're breaking right now?" he spoke in a rather strong accent. Was he a prefect? No, he was obviously trying to hold in a laugh. His white hair was a little messy and he looked a little older, maybe he was a second year too?

"Common Colin, even with a funny voice we can tell it's you for miles and you know that!" Irina said. Colin? Beatrice had heard that name before, Irina must have mentioned him at some point.

"So, the game? are you joining?" Guinevere asked Colin and explained that they were playing truth or dare. Beatrice had a feeling that the older girl wasn't feeling comfortable here and she would have liked to change that, but it seemed as if there was nothing she could do.

Irina's voice brought Beatrice's attention back to the game and they finally started. Irina reached for the bottle and spun it. "What is, in your opinion, the worst professor?". Irina asked Elira. Her answer was the Charms teacher. Beatrice's eyebrows went up in Surprise. She actually really liked the Charms Professor and the Homework but everyone thinks different.

Now it was Elira's turn. She spun the bottle and it landed on Guinevere. Beatrice listened to Elira's question and looked go Guinevere, curious of her answer, however they were interrupted by another person entering the room. Beatrice flinched at the girls loud words and felt herself almost taking Irina's hand in a protective way. But she didn't.

After everything and everyone had finally settled down, Guinevere answered her questions. It was a rather boring one but Beatrice didn't expect anything too juicy. Guinevere spun the bottle. It landed on Lucian.

“If you could date any girl in your year right now, who would it be?” Guinevere asked and Beatrice took another bite of her cupcake, looking back and forth between Lucian and Guinevere. Now this was a good question.

Colin:
Reducio
Colin released Lucian from his grip and plopped down on the floor across from Guinevere as the game began. Truth or Dare! Colin remembered playing that before. As a first year, mostly the questions were 'who is your favourite teacher' or 'would you pick up a murtlap and pet it' kind of thing. Just a fun game! He reckoned that with Guinevere in the picture, things could get a little more interesting!

Alora popped in next and Colin waved to his mischief making mate when she greeted him. "Wait. Volunteer as tribute!?" Colin had read that somewhere before. "I remember that line now! Me and Liam were rummaging through Moira's books once. Something about a food game! We had a good laugh, cos she was crushing on the boy in the story! Barfo!" Well, at least that's what nine year old Colin and Liam had thought a couple years ago...

Guinevere claimed her --- oo this would be good! "Whoa, be careful who you claim, Guin! Loralora might surprise you!" He laughed as his friend stuffed her mouth with cupcake. But she span the bottle and it landed on Lucian! Oh, if only this were that bottle spinning game! His year mate smirked as she prepared to ask him her question. Delicious!

Even Colin was surprised by what she asked. “If you could date any girl in your year right now, who would it be?” He wondered if Guin knew something or had heard some rumour and was digging for more, or if she was just asking a common sense question.

"Whoa," Colin said under his breath. He wiggled his bare toes. He knew very well what his own answer would be! Then again, probably half the school knew what his answer would be! But Luci was a different matter. Colin had been wondering about him for a couple months now. He did seem to be interested in a particular girl, but he also said some very insulting things to her. Colin often wondered if he were wrong.

He studied Guinevere's face. The smirk led Colin to conclude that she was enjoying the game; and the question led him to conclude that she knew how to play it, and how to poke her opponent! There was no way Luci could lie or squirm out of it. He'd have to tell the truth! And maybe that girl was here with them now; either that or submit to a dare! Oof.

He leaned forward and looked over at Lucian. His eyes widened slightly. What was the boy going to say? He nodded slightly, as if to encourage him. "Get on with it lad!" he whispered. After all, Colin thought he knew who Luci might like!

Lucian:

From the moment I had left the dorm I knew Colin was following me, I was trying not to smirk as I ventured further to the girls side. He wasn't that subtle and I could smell him. Also hear his breathing. But hey, I didn't say anything and then that drama happened with that older girl in the dorm and I got a feeling of insecurity that the whole incident with Ryan was happening again. Thankfully Bea came to my rescue, as did Ree. However, when I heard Ree give Bea her thanks, the older girl had the audacity to scoff at her.

"Hey! Back off would you! Seriously did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something?" I asked angrily, no one disrespects Irina! Or Bea for that matter! "Chill. Out!"

I heard another younger girl mention about what breaking the rules is going to do. Uh, give us detention. The girl that woke up on the wrong side of the bed said, "Yes, that’s enough distractions for now. let’s start," (after saying something to her cat in another language) and that is when someone else came in. I glared daggers at her.

Ava! I told myself to calm down. I remember where she told us she was sorry and started crying in the chair, I told her upfront that I couldn't give a damn. "So sorry I’m late!” she exclaimed.

"It's fine, nobody noticed," I told her in a sneer.

Ava's facial expression changed, “Am I interrupting something?”

"Yes actually, muu-- Winchect! You know where the door is," I said with a sarcastic smile.

Colin clapped me on the shoulder and had me in a tight grip, he then tried to do an English accent. Merlin, it was awful but it seemed to bring the room in my eyes to normal.

"Lucian Mornstern! What are you doing in the girls' dorm? Do you know how many school rules you're breaking right now?" he asked causing me to scoff. HE does realise he too is stood in the girls dorm? And what is he too speak? Hypocrite. I brushed his hand off of my shoulder and smirked at him.

"Well, Mr McCoire, I am afraid you have blown my cover..." I patted his shoulder and gave a faux sad look, pretending to look like I was going to cry. "I was looking for the person that stole your toothbrush!" I sent him a smirk and then plopped down next to Bea. "Take a seat fleabag," the random girl asked if he wanted to play and I stared at her.

"Not gonna go all goodey goodey to him are you? Because you do know that there are now two boys in the room!" I asked moody but with a faux shocked look, "Like 'im or sumut?" I said, more to myself. Ree then spun the bottle and it landed on Elira, I smirked as Ree asked her what she thought the worst professor was, rejoicing in her answer!

"Uh, in all honesty, I have no strong opinion of any of the teachers so far. But if I had to choose, I guess maybe the Charms teacher," when she said that I raised my hand to her for a high five. "Because of the homework," I nodded with a smile.

"Right!" I agreed enthusiastically.

"How about we make the questions a bit more... interesting. This is a truth or dare meeting, after all," I saw Elira sigh and take a sip of butterbeer and then reach for the bottle and spun it hard.

It landed on Guinevere.

"What's something you really hope your family never finds out about?" a smirk played on her lips as she asked this and I let out a laugh.

"That she accidentally broke a nail," I said with a laugh, my lips not moving though.

"There’s nothing, really,” she said. “It wouldn’t be the complete end of the world if my parents found out, but once in elementary-"

"What's elementary?" I asked, scrunching up my nose.

"--they had grounded me, but still I wanted to go out," wow, such a rebel, I thought, only backtracking when I remembered what I was like after I got bit to a few months ago. "So I used to jump out the window to wander the forests with my friends. might not be the juicy secret yall were hoping for but honestly nothing big slips past my parents,” sadly, I could get that.

I watched her spin the bottle herself, quite harsly, it spun and spun before landing on me.

I gulped as I saw a smirk spreading on her face .

“I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE!” I jumped and looked at the loud mouth that bombarded in.

“She’s mine,” Guinevere said, oh she can have her! “I’m Guinevere Russetwood and this is Aeluin, my cat!” had to admit, cat was cute. I looked at ‘Ro, but my pet was better.

Finally though, she spoke to me. “My question to you… if you could date any girl in your year right now, who would it be?” I froze. I knew who I wanted to say and who I needed to say.

I heard Colin mutter under his breath and I sent a sharp glare at him, we all knew who he would say. “Well I- I do like someone,” I dragged out.

He leaned forward and looked at me, eyes wide, in anticipation maybe? He nodded slightly, "Get on with it lad!" he whispered. I licked my lips nervously, my eyes fluttering over her, brief flashes of remorse and sadness before quickly looking away, my eyes going almost blank.

Then it changed.

I looked at Guinevere, a small smile playing on my lips. “If I could date anyone?” I repeated, “Then it would have to be Thorn,” I said, looking at her.

I smiled at Thorn before getting the bottle and spinning. It landed on B. I cleared my throat and turned to her. She was holding her hand. “I dare you to… kiss anyone in this room,” I said.

guinevere rolled her eyes and gave that stupid stuck up boy a death glare; her very best.
“oh, I’m so sorry,” she sneered. “I must have missed the part where i slap you on the face for that immediately after you said that! Shall we backtrack? Also, i didn’t wake up on the wrong side of the bed- it seems you did. If I did, we wouldn’t even need to backtrack. I would have slapped you already.”

“oh, don’t worry, I’m not,” she spat at the boy. “I don’t bias people like that. If you hadn’t insulted me like that, i might have even made sure you were joining us in the delightful game. But alas, now I wish to throw you in the lake and let it freeze over you.”

Seriously! What a freaking idiot that was! Did no one ever teach him manners??

“Oh, i broke a nail! Yes, yes, that’s what happened. if I really broke a nail I would use the delightfully sharp part to scratch our your eyeballs! I think your parents would be quite disappointed in you. It’s rude to interrupt someone when they start talking, or did no one teach you that? And elementary is primary school. Unless you never went and landed yourself into Hogwarts just because you’ve got magic.”

Oh gods, why did everyone think she was claiming the girl??? Was there even such thing as claiming someone?

“so you see, I was referring to the part where she asked whose cat that was, I was not claiming her like some kind of gambler.” is that what they thought of her as? She finished her bottle of butterbeer, capped the bottle, and bit into her cupcake again.

She laughed. This was turning out exactly as she had anticipated.

“Like she would ever like someone like you,” she sneered in Korean under her breath, just loud so lucian could hear. The meaning would be up to him to decipher.

If I could date anyone?” Lucian repeated the question, “Then it would have to be Thorn,” he said, looking at the other girl. Beatrice's cupcake almost fell out of her mouth as she stared at Lucian. Thorn? She looked at the other girl. She wouldn't have expected that. There was a sudden shift of emotion in the room. Not a good change. There seemed to be something unsaid, hanging over the group as they all sat on the ground. Beatrice let her gaze go from one person to another. Her eyes landed on Irina and Beatrice could feel a small shift of emotion from her friend. She leaned over to her, not sure if she was catching Irina's attention or not.

»Mey. You okay?« her voice was so silent that no one other than Irina could possibly understand her. Not even if someone with advanced hearing sat in this room. However, there wasn't any time for a reaction from Irina because Lucian spun the bottle and it landed on Beatrice. She sat back up again and looked at Lucian. Their eyes met and he cleared his throat. “I dare you to… kiss anyone in this room,” he said. Beatrice almost choked on her own spit in surprise of what Lucian had just said.

»Excuse me?« her eyebrows furrowed in a frown. Was he really expecting her to kiss someone in this room? Like actually kiss? Her eyes opened wide as her gaze snapped from one person to another. Then an Idea slowly flowed through her mind. Beatrice bit her lip, looking down at the bottle and then up again. She turned her head and directed her gaze at Irina.

»I hope this is okay, I'm gonna kiss you now.« she said, leaning over. For everyone else it must have looked as if Beatrice was gonna actually kiss her on the lips, but her lips landed on Irina's cheek. The contact between Beatrice's soft lips and Irina's somehow even softer cheek wasn't long. For Lucian it must have looked like as if she kissed her on the mouth since he was basically sitting behind her and she had felt a stare burying into her head. Although it didn't necessarily have to be Lucian who had stared. What would he care? Beatrice leaned back, a subtle smile on her lips as she leaned forward and grabbed ahold of the bottle. She spun it, watching it circle around rather fast. It then stopped right at Irina. Beatrice had to think for a few seconds before asking her questions.

»Would you be bothered if I brought a pet here at some point? My Parents are thinking of getting me one for our second year and I'd like to stay in a dorm with you.« Maybe that wasn't a question that anyone would want to hear the answer too and it certainly wasn't super interesting but Beatrice felt that Irina could use a little cheer up. She smiled at her Friend, awaiting an answer.

Lucian had a bit of snark on him. He glared at me when I came in, and it seemed my apology was quite pointless and he still hated me, and that was fine with me, because I hated him. Called me a half-blood, as if that weren’t enough of an insult and I didn’t even have any wizard blood. When I announced my arrival he sneered at me. “It’s fine, nobody noticed,”
“Well you clearly did,” I glared right back at him. Two could play his game. When I asked whether I was interrupting something he said yes and I practically burst out laughing. That little—
"Yes actually, muu-- Winchect! You know where the door is," I balled my hands into fists at my side. He was going to call me a mudblood, which was one of the worst things you could call someone. I had already been called one once, and I was interested in being called one again. I didn’t care that I was attracting stares, or that this could land me a detention. Maybe, I wasn’t sure since my list of rules in my room weren’t really completely accurate.
“Better watch your sharp tongue, Lucian, or you’ll land yourself a detention. Besides, you call me a mudblood right next to your half-blood friend. What does that say to her?” I gave a long look at Irina as if to prove my point. “You can call me a mudblood, but your the only one here with mud in their blood. Absolute scum, you werewolves or whatever.”
Colin came in with an english accent, pretending to be a prefect. Speak of the hairy devil. I glared at him as if he had been the one saying the things Lucian had said. If that little werewolf thought he could get away with the things he’d said, he was greatly mistaken. I felt like lunging at him. At his throat, to be specific. I glanced around the room and especially at Elira, who had never seen this side of me. “Better for her to get used to it,” I grumbled under my breath, but I decided not to go at Colin.

Rebecca clattered down the steps into the Slytherin common room juggling a stack of sweets he'd gotten from Honeyduke's. He was painfully aware of how late he was to Irina's party, but he hadn't been bothered to check the time while he was in the shops and hadn't realized until he stepped outside how dark it already was.

After a cursory check, it seemed the common room was devoid of any prefects, so he slipped quietly into the Malfoy dorm. He shouldered open the door into the room just in time to witness as Irina's roommate give her a kiss on the cheek. He wolf-whistled appreciatively.

"Cheers, Irina!" he teased as he dropped a box of pumpkin pasties onto a table and raising an eyebrow at Beatrice Dupont. "Not all of us are lucky enough to be roommates with someone quite as fit as yours. No offense to Hui-Ming, but if he started kissing on me I'd have to hex him."

He shook his head and sat himself down beside Colin, who looked like he was suffering from a stroke.

"Close your mouth mate. You'll catch flies," Rebecca informed him.

Colin was a bit like a dog in the way he got distracted by pretty things, but Rebecca knew that by the next day Colin'd be howling over Clair Fernandez! once more.

Aside from him and Colin, Mornstern was the only other boy. (Made sense, considering where they were gathered.) He didn't know anyone else very well aside from Irina and Jannette, but he caught the girls' eyes and grinned.

"Sorry for crashing the party, ladies, but Irina said she'd kill me if I didn't come," he shrugged.

I would have slapped you already.” I just stared at her in amusement.

“Damn woman, is it your time of month?” I sniped.

She spoke some more and then, “I don’t bias people like that. If you hadn’t insulted me like that, i might have even made sure you were joining us in the delightful game,”

I stared at her gone out, “Oh get off your bloody high horse! You snapped at me as soon as I finished talking at the door way! I hadn’t even insulted you and you were throwing punches!” I snapped.

“But alas, now I wish to throw you in the lake and let it freeze over you.”

I scoffed, “At least that would get me away from you!” what a stuck up cow!

“Oh, I broke a nail! Yes, yes, that’s what happened. if I really broke a nail I would use the delightfully sharp part to scratch our your eyeballs!” I gulped at that but then I thought. Cats already out of the bag. Ava already blurted out my secret to everyone.

“Is that so? Well, I will do the same to you on a full moon!” I threatened back

“I think your parents would be quite disappointed in you,” ironically I cut her off.

“Don’t you ever assume what my parents think of me, Russetwood. Undersstand!” I snapped but in a calm manner. However, she was right. If mother could see me now and father! They would have my head! Like the argument over Christmas, on the 28th I think.

“It’s rude to interrupt someone when they start talking, or did no one teach you that?”

I scoffed and smirked, “Says you!” then switched to German, “Disrespectful cow,”

“And elementary is primary school,”she explained.

“What’s primary school?” is that like… the first school you go to?

“Unless you never went and landed yourself into Hogwarts just because you’ve got magic,” I felt insulted then!

“Excuse me, I’ll have you know that my family are respected in loads of countries, my father especially! My family name has been passed through the family for years! Always keeping the line pure!” I said, very miffed.

She then finished some butterbeer after saying she was talking about how she said her cat was hers.

She laughed and muttered something in a different language to her car, just loud enough that I could hear it. “And you were berating me on manners,” I told her, “Such a hypocrite! What a person you are!”

And then Ava entered causing me to groan.

“It’s fine, nobody noticed,” I said with a sneer.

“Well you clearly did,” she said back, her own glare on her face.

I scoffed, "How did I? You didn't even cross my mind when I walked in here!" then she asked if she was interrupting. "Yes actually, muu-- Winchect! You know where the door is," her hands balled into fists at my side.

“Better watch your sharp tongue, Lucian, or you’ll land yourself a detention. Besides, you call me a mudblood right next to your half-blood friend. What does that say to her?” she answered an d I frowned at her.

"Nothing because she isn't a mudblood you idiot," I said, rolling my eyes. “Are you stupid as well as unpure?”

“You can call me a mudblood, but your the only one here with mud in their blood. Absolute scum, you werewolves or whatever,"

My body went still, chest painfully tight as I looked across the room, throat going dry as I took in painful and anxious breaths. "How dare you..." I whispered, head down, the rest of the room forgotten. How dare she that filthy cretin. I shot to my feet, hands balled tightly by my side, eyes ablaze with fury. I stepped closer to her with a rigid body. "How dare you you pathetic, rotten, mudblood!" I swung my fist at her, punching her on the side of her face, directly on her cheek, her head swung to the side.

I then pushed her to the wall, her back hitting the wall harshly, a thump resonating throughout the room and snarled at her! "I warned you!" I growled, pushing her harder against the wall, my hands on her forearms in a bruising grip as I wasn't holding back. "You only wish you were as strong as I was, scum!" I spat, "I could kill you right now... or better yet, I will wait for the next moon... hide in my room... and then when the beautiful, bright moon comes out..." I stared at her with eyes of a mad man, a ghost of a smirk playing on my lips, "Sniff you out like the garbage you are..." I glared again, lip curling up to show off my two, sharp, white canines, my grip on her tightening on her, "And give you a scar as ugly as you are-"

"I will sniff you out like the garbage you are and--" I raised my top lip, keeping it there for a while, sharp canines in front of her face, "It will hurt,"

"And then I will tell a group of people how you are the scummiest of wolves, as you say, because of your ancestry!" I glowered at her, shoving her back again. That's when I felt a hand on my shoulder and elbow causing me to flinch away.

I looked to the side to see Ree, she was trying to look into my eyes. "Luci-..an, calm down. She isn't worth it," Ree said calmly, I looked in her eyes but they had no warmth, only pain. She couldn't even say my nickname.

"You heard what she said," I said through gritted teeth, shoving her against the wall again but half-heartedly.

"And think about what you said for once!" she said a little harshly. I stood still, my grip letting go of her and I turned away emotionless, not caring if Ava fell in a heap on the floor.

My breathing ragged, I sombrely made my way back to where I was sat next to Bea and hugged my knees, tuning the world out for a little while I calmed down. My whole body was tense as I blocked the room out, filtering my thoughts and getting tongrips with ehat just happened. I snuck a fearful glance at Colin.

There was no way in hell he was going to let me get away with that! After all, look what he was like before Christmas and that wasn’t half as bad as this!

Then, later on, the real just… grrr!

Why did I give Beatrice that dare?! She turned to Ree and kissed her, my eyes widened and mouth parted slightly, memorised by it. Were they really kissing?

EDIT: I’ve added reducio’s to them all and holy cow those few posts already add up to 2000+

Guinevere:

"shut the fuck up before i Silencio you for the next few hours," she spat at lucian. she stood and jabbed the butt of her wand at his face and lowered her voice to a menacing hiss. "you absolutely do not say that to me, you uncultured pureblood swine," she snarled. insolent bitch.
"oh, I was throwing punches? WHO WAS THE ONE WHO BROKE A RULE PUNISHABLE BY DETENTION FIRST???" by now she had raised her voice again and was seriously tempted to flipendo him across the room.
"You dare call me by my last name one more time. Your blood may be pure but your soul is dirtier than any of ours's."
she ignored the rest of his snide comments until she could not take it one second further as she watched the boy grab Ava. Even though she had never even talked to Ava before, she had an urge to protect her, maybe just to spite lucian.
"did you fucking just punch her, mornstern? are you mad? do you have any holy idea what you are doing right now? have you lost your mind, injuring a housemate?" she stood up and slapped with all her might on lucian's face. she knew how hard that had to hurt; she'd been on the other side of that hand plenty of times. she then pointed the tip of her wand at him, wondering if she should really cast a spell. her spellwork was still a work in progress, although it had significantly improved over the past weeks. she decided not to.
"back off, bitch," she spat in his face. rushing to ava's side as she slumped on the floor, she said in a quieter voice, "are you alright, do i need to send you to the hospital wing? i swear i will kill that man."
"feeling regretful now, mornstern?" she sneered as he started hugging his knees.

Well, it didn't take long for things to turn to hell. Why is it that whenever Slytherins are together they have the best ideas for fun but always get into fights with one another?! It was Jannette blinked and now people are arguing. Words are being thrown around like Mudblood. The brunette was always told at a young age how bad that word can be, and how it impacts how others feel.

“OI!” She squawks at the top of her lung. She wasn’t expecting so much craziness to happen at once. She just froze for a moment, all wide-eyed, her heart pounding a million miles a second. It didn't make any sense. First, it was small insults now it turned into punches being thrown! The brunette hugs her kitty, hoping it would protect her precious baby from getting hit with any potential hexes.

But just as she stood, the worst time came when someone showed up! Turning her head, she noticed that it was none other than, Opeilia Winters. If any first-year didn't know who Opeilia was you’d have to be stupid. For Jannette, she was definitely on the scariest people not to mess with in Hogwarts, well… except for Regina and Cash. Well the tension, definitely died out – or maybe it rised a lot more when the Prefect was in the Girl's Dormitory whatever the case may be, her presence was known.

"Relashio!"

With the knife out of the girl's grasp, luckily no one got super hurt. Still standing Jannette hugged her cat tightly, as Melrose would look around at what the heck all the fuss is about. With a Prefect here Jannette knew how’d this look. A fight. Weapons in the dormitory… Words like Mudblood being thrown around. Detention was almost certain and worst of all If her mom found out about this, any chances of going to Camp this summer were surely out the window! Jannette couldn't mess this up.

"Wand away. Now. Anyone in need of medical attention please leave this room and wait for me outside. Now I'd like to know what happened here."

“I DIDN’ DO ANYTHIN’ OI’M INNOCEN’ IN ALL DIS!”1 She squeaks, it was the first thing that came to mind, and I mean she was innocent – she didn’t do anything! Literally. Sure, she probably should’ve left, and yes the whole ‘If you see something, say something’ floated around in her head a couple of times. But Jannette didn’t wanna be a buzz kill or worse a taddle tale! But now that detention and summer camp is on the line, in Jannette's mind it’s every Slytherin for themselves. “I’ was Lucian, Thorn, Ava, and Guine-somethin's faul’! Oi didn’ do anythin’!”2 She said frantically, pointing to the culprits as she tries her best to explain really what happened. “T’ere were fists ‘n-’n knives, ‘n-n… mean words…!”3 Jannette added after Beatrice in a whiny tone. As the others got their stories in Jannette waited patiently, maybe things have actually died down now, and even with tension high, it couldn’t get any worse, right? Wrong.

Jannette would look to each person arguing, “Can we all jus’ ge’ along?! We’re gonna all ge’ detention, PLEAAASSSEEE!”4 She begs, trying to help de-escalate the situation the best she can.

He didn't get far though. Loops was out and Colin didn't blame him. Technically none of them should have been there, Colin knew, but the fact was that they were invited. Colin was glad Rebecca had escaped. He was clearly affected by the rapid descent of the gathering into darkness. He was still trying to process everything that had happened, trying to focus on Rina and especially Lucian. What the heck had gotten into him!?

How had this gone from Truth or Dare to Let Me Piss All Over My Girlfriend? How could Lucian have said those words to Ava, even if she did out him? And then punch her? Push her against the wall? That was too much! And then Guinevere got into it! She was a second year, she should have known better! And then Thorn --- Colin didn't even know what to think of that.

Well, no, he did know what to think of that. He had heard stories of scuffles in muggle schools. Fights that turned violent. She wasn't muggleborn, so she was either pretending to be a muggle thug or else she was some kind of whack pure blood with a fascination for blades and cruelty. What had Guinevere called her? Gothic something? A brief flash passed through Colin's mind, of Salazar Slytherin stating that only purebloods should be allowed into Hogwarts. He recognised a conflict in his mind: muggledom was clearly dangerous and its ideas could only infect wizarding culture; but surely great wizards came out of muggledom too! He'd have to think about that. The sort of conflict that arose today, though, should clearly have been settled by other means. We have wands, after all! When talk fails, settle differences in a duel!

And then Opeila arrived. And behind her Cash. Guinevere had run out of the room shouting for a prefect and she got two. After slapping Luci and kicking Thorn in the face, summoning help was probably the smartest thing she could have done. Her very arrival should have instantly settled everyone in the room. Indeed, the Prefect's entrance stopped Colin! She confronted Thorn first, then told him to put up his wand. He had it out only in case any of the first years decided to spell happy and set each other to dancing! But now he put it away.

And then Ava started by telling her side of the story. Whoa. And what a story it was! He knew Lucian was behind him, and he also knew Lucian liked to interrupt people when they were talking. (Well, Colin did too sometimes, so he couldn't really say much!) This was such a bloody mess! At that moment, he knew only that the only way to help his friends was to listen carefully to what everyone said and match that up to what he remembered seeing and hearing before.

That and try to keep Luci quiet! Honestly! If he'd just shut it in stead of interrupt Ava every other word, we could get to the real truth! As Ava's story unfolded, Colin noticed that she really did look very shaken up! Well, he could only imagine being struck by Lucian and shoved against the wall and called horrible names! In between his own gasps of indignation at a couple points, and trying again to get Luci to keep his gob shut, Colin's mind raced.

"Wait," he said under his breath. When did Luci grab her throat!? As the girl spoke, Colin looked from her back to Lucian. His own mouth dropped open in shock. Wait! Was this girl actually lying? To a Prefect!? Irina spoke up next. Colin smiled slightly. He took notice of how her focus was different, more about the whole thing and less about specific moments. She focused on the reason for the party and what actually ended up happening. Colin was proud of Rina. She was right about one thing: Colin certainly learned what Ava and Guin and Thorn especially were capable of; more painfully, he learned what Luci thought about people like Clair. Mudbloods. He shivered at the thought. And Luci was a brother wolf. He wondered if Luci's words and actions could ever be surmounted.

Then the most bizarre sight Colin had ever seen appeared in the doorway behind Opeila and Cash. "Ho ho holy shit, is that a knife? Did someone use that on her?" Maggie Hawkins. It was a trifecta --- the Prefects all in a row. One of them wearing a tall turban wrapped towel on her head and sky blue pajamas. Colin thought that he really should look into the whole pajama thing. Oh, crud. Three Prefects, thrice the punishment! Well, at least Maggie wasn't looking at him with utter revulsion. Maybe she thought he wasn't directly involved? He was really trying to calm Lucian down, though Rina seemed to have been more effective!

The other first year, the one Colin didn't know, spoke up after Rina. Beatrice, right! She added a little to Rina's story, but took part of the blame on herself! Why? Neither them had actually done anything wrong! Guinevere was next. Her words came out fast and harsh sounding, but Colin only nodded. His year mate hadn't made anything up that he could recall.

Next to speak was Lucian. Colin was most worried about what he would say. Colin really was very disappointed in his friend. Almost not so much for whacking Ava --- she did kind of deserve some sort of reprisal for what she said to Luci --- but rather for what he called Ava. What he called Clair. What he called all his other friends who weren't blessed with pure blood! He knew he'd have to forgive Luci some day for that hurt. But not right now. For now, he let Lucian's words, sometimes forthright, sometimes hesitating, wash over him.

Colin nodded slightly as Lucian talked. If this were another time, Colin would have been very proud of Lucian. He stood up to his Prefects and told them the truth. And more importantly, Colin noted, he stood up to himself. Out of all of them, Luci was the only one to confront why he did it. Boiling with rage. Colin would remember those words. He knew about taming the beast within. Werewolf or no, every boy would have to learn to do it. He knew it was harder for wolves, but there was something in the act of recognising the beast that Colin appreciated.

The only part of Luci's story that Colin found --- odd --- was the way he defended Thorn's actions. Didn't mean to cut her? Bro! She pulled a knife on Guin! Colin knew how to handle a knife and knew what they were for. He had been given a small penknife when he was ten, and it had proven its worth many times over for shaving pencil points and refreshing quill nibs! Also came in handy for collecting herbs and flowers and other small jobs. But laddie! Drawing a blade on someone? He shook his head as Luci said that about Thorn.

Could he have been so wrong about him and Irina? Did he really like Thorn so much he'd try to cover up what she did? Rina was so much better for him --- Colin really thought they'd been made for each other! And then Cullen had the nerve to just walk out of the dorm! Right in front of three Prefects!? Did she think so much of herself that she could slice a housemate and get away with it? Or did she think so little Guienevere that she could so easily hurt his year mate? Or did she think so very little of what Luci had said earlier about dating her?

No. Colin decided that Thorn would not make a very good friend. He'd gotten over how she had outed him before; and he'd tried to make amends for his reaction. That wasn't his best moment! But now, he thought differently. It was Thorn that had gotten Ava going in the common room before; she was the beginning of the chaos between this group that should be friends, and that included Ava! At least she had offered an apology; though Colin wasn't there, he appreciated the attempt. He'd have to talk with her about that some time. But this --- Thorn! A thorn in Colin's side, that's for sure! She just strutted out like a privileged princess!

Last to say anything was Jannette. She was such a sweetheart! She just stood there with Melrose in her arms. She looked about four, having to explain why she was in the middle of a mess where her older brothers had broken into the cookie jar! Colin smiled and let a quiet laugh slip out. She really hadn't done anything wrong!

Colin shook his head. He reckoned it was his turn. He spoke quietly. He felt drained after what he'd seen. "I don't really have much to add, Prefects. I just want to say that I'm glad Guin went to get you. I--- Rina and Lucian told the story. I think they got most of it. Bea too." He turned his gaze towards Ava then. "I'd add only that I agree with Lucian: he didn't go for your throat! I hate what he did to you, Ava. But you really did egg him on. Well, you went batshit on each other! What did you expect? Also, we didn't try to leave. We're still here!"

Turning back towards the Prefects, he hesitated about mentioning Loops. He decided to wait and see if Opeila asked anything specific. The only thing that really bothered Colin was Luci's defense of Thorn. He wanted to nip that in the bud. "I don't think Lucian is right, though, about --- Thorn. She drew a blade. On Guin. I --- I know what knives are for. You don't go after people with them."

Colin let out a deep sigh.

As Cash was done with the Polar Plunge errand, they decided to walk around for a bit to do their patrols. Usually, during their Saturday patrols, Cash spent some time doing their patrol at Hogsmeade but since their whole body seems like almost turned into a living and walking popsicle, the green eyes decided they could to their Hogsmeade patrol tomorrow.

It seems Cash was not the only one who decided to do their patrol earlier during the day. As the Beater come back towards where their house is located, they met their fellow Prefect - dorm mate, Opeila Winters by the door. And when both of them stepped into the Common Room, a faint cry for help can be heard.

Cash and Opeila shared a look. But the worried look on Opeila's face made Cash concerned too. And so, as Opeila ran towards where the cry for help was coming from, the Cuban descendant trail was not too far from Opeila. Pei then made a beeline toward the one that was hurt. Cash took their time to observe the situation and let Opeila took in charge for a little bit.

The releasing spell that was uttered by Opeila, brings Cash back to the situation they were in. Cash did not see the girl holding a knife until the said weapon was released from her hands and clattered against the floor. The fourth year shot a hard look at the girl who had the audacity to bring weapons to school.

Cash did also have a dagger. Henry Knight once gifted to them as their birthday gift but never occurred to the young Ironwoods to draw it at someone else. Besides, they could not remember whether the dagger was at the bottom of their trunk or they had to store it somewhere inside their bedroom back at the Ironwoods Manor.

As Opeila demanded all of them to hand their wands, Cash ran back towards their dorm room to grab a cloth that was unused to be used by the bleeding girl as a makeshift pressure pad. After Cash comes back to Narcissa Malfoy's Dorm again, it seems Opeika was not alone. Donne in her pajamas and the high towel that piled up on her head stood one Maggie Hawkins.

The second-year Prefect greets both them and Opeila. "Hawkins,"Cash said on response. In another situation, Cash would laugh at the sight but as if right now, the three Prefects had some pressing matter that they need to take care of. Opeila then asked the room what the hell was happening. The first girl that speak up was the blonde girl who two months ago Cash saw slept at the Slytherin table during breakfast.

She explained that whoever Lucian was assaulted her. Cash knew what an exaggerated story looks like but they could not draw any conclusion before they heard all parties' sides of the story. One by one that was in the room told their side of the story and with some stories are either similar or different from one another, the growing pain in their head started to form.

As the bleeding girl said 'a bandage would be nice'. Cash offered their makeshift pressure pad to the girl. "Pressed this on your wound and put pressure on it,"The Quidditch player gave out a small order to the bleeding girl. "Once the bleeding stops, we will bring you to the Hospital Wing,"The green eyes said as their eyes look at both Maggie and Opeila.

As one of the girls orders the pale girl to get out of the room, Cash wants to stop her but still the story was not done yet. Once Collin said his peace of mind, Cash looked at the one that was still in the room with a hard stare. "First of all, you guys are one bunch of crazy kids!"The young socialite shook their head in disbelief.

"Do you guys that daft that you broke several rules? Or do you think it was cool to break the rule in the first place?"Cash placed both of their hands on their hips. Cash could care less about the remorse of the guilty feeling that started to seep within them. "Since you think it was okay to break the rules, let me remind all of you,"Cash's green eyes looked from one person to another.

"Rule number 1o, there shall be no fighting without or with the use of magic"Cash hold up their index finger. One. "Rule number 19, no weapons - other than your wand- on your person at any time,"Cash continued. Two. "Rule number 20, mo attempting to injure yourself or to injure other," Three.

"Rule number 22, no racist, sexist, homophobic remarks or insults - including the use of 'mudblood''"They added. Four. At the word mudblood, a smirk almost rose on their lips but Cash hold it in since this is was not the place nor the time to be the pureblood that they are. They once often time insulted someone with that slur but not anymore.

"And lastly, rule number 26, no going into other gender's dormitory areas"Cash hold up five fingers in the air. "Honestly guys, why the hell did you invite the boys to come over to the girl's dorm in the first place? We have Common Room if you lot want to get together or something,"Cash tried to not be mad at the dumb kids that stood before them.

Never in their wildest dream, Cash had to got involved in such a crazy occurrence that they are in right now. Cash's hard stare then landed on Lucian. "You there! what is your name?"Inquired the green eyes. Cash waited until Lucian informed his name. And when he did, Cash shook their head again.

"Do you think it was okay to hit a girl?"They asked. "I don't care if she deserved it or not, YOU. WILL. NEVER. HIT. A. GIRL. you got me, boy?"They said through gritted teeth. The Quidditch player then averted their eyes from Lucian to the rest of the room. "Don't think all of you get off the hook just yet. Once again, I could care less who had the biggest fault. You guys are in this together and thus all of you will carry the blame,"Cash uttered.

One girl in particular, who was wearing a bespectacled, trying to diffuse the situation. Cash feels bad for her since she got caught in the crossfire. "And called her back whoever her name is that walked out from this room,"Cash continued some more. Clearly annoyed at Thorn who thinks she could get out of the problem that still arises easily.

"Just because someone told you to get out of the room after you hurt your fellow, does not mean she is superior to any of you,"The young Ironwoods crossed their hands in front of their chest. If Thorn is a pureblood, then she behaves poorly, in Cash's opinion."Now, since you crazy kids break five rules in one go, should this be continued in detention? Or give me a solid reason why I don't need to give you one"Cash said as a challenge to the ones that were still in the room and waited for them to give out their reasonings.

But it wasn't Opeila who spoke their doom! Colin's eyes widened slightly, for it seemed to him that doom was coming on them! No, it was Cassandra Ironwoods who took the lead! Colin recognised the Thimblerig Shuffle as they were passed from one Prefect to another! And weren't all three quidditch players? Having gone up against Maggie on the pitch, and having watched Slytherin matches, Colin had to wonder if the three Prefects hadn't worked this all out a long time ago!

He narrowed his eyes. He didn't like the idea of being bounced around like a helpless quaffle; but he did know one of them would pronounce judgement on them. Colin liked Maggie well enough: they'd been in classes together, but had never become friends. Opeila he knew best of all. But Cash he didn't know well. He did know she meted out some pretty harsh detentions though!

Colin thought back to the start of term feast and Great Food Fight of 2022! Whoa. That was chaos at the Ravenclaw table with Faye and Sophia and Gem throwing food and spells around! But really, a little food fight really all that much to bother about, and Ironwoods sentenced them to hard labour cleaning up the mess, all whilst glued together! No, Ironwoods was as tough as her name suggested. If she had punished the Ravenclaws that harshly for a bit of fun, Colin could only imagine what she might do to them all in here!

And that was one of two things that got Colin more than anything else. She straight up said she didn't care who did what, she was just going to hang em all! That rankled Colin no end, and he tried very hard to keep any sign of his displeasure in check. It was so unfair! The other thing that got Colin was her challenge at the end. "Give me a reason why I don't need to give you one." Well, Colin would take her up on that challenge!

Colin thought fast. He had to say something before Luci protested or Jannette opened her cupcake hole and made a bigger mess. But what could he say? I mean, Cullen literally knifed a girl! Hmm...Colin saw it in his head.

He stepped forward, his green eyes locking on to Cash's. Respectfully, of course! "A solid reason, Prefect? Okay." Colin cleared his throat. His heart pounded. He couldn't believe he was about to do this, but he just couldn't see the sense in punishing everyone alike! After all, he didn't hit anyone and he didn't slice anyone!

"I---It's not fair to punish us all that way, Prefect," he said quietly. His voice was a little shaky, but Colin held firm to his purpose. "You see, Niffler, I mean Jannette, and Bea and Rina, they didn't do anything wrong. They didn't break any rules. They shouldn't be punished at all." Colin took a deep breath in. Now for the hard part. "A---Anyway, it's all my fault." he let out a small puff of breath. That wasn't so bad, and it was the truth --- from a certain point of view.

"Yeah, it's true that Ava said some nasty things and Luci thumped her and Guin thumped him and Thorn got out a knife and sliced her. And yeah, Rina did invite us boys... But honest, Cash!" Colin's words began to tumble out, and he thought he was going to break down and cry. "None of that would have happened if I'd nabbed Luci before he came in here! And I should have told him to shut it; and I'm his Alpha, right, and I'm responsible. I---I could've dragged him out but I didn't! And when he got up to thump Ava, I could've stopped him or thumped him, cos ye're not supposed to hit girls! But I didn't! E---Everything just happened so fast. I had my wand out in case anyone tried to set someone on fire or something, but that didn't happen, and then when the knife came out --- and, and! Oh God! I could've stopped all of this before it even started and the girls would still be playing their game and everyone would be okay and, and just put it on me cos IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!"

Guinevere:

i specifically quoted that rule to that stuck up wolf," guinevere thought when cassandra mentioned the rules.
"Prefects," she addressed, preparing to vouch for a few others. if they let her, she would go ahead: "i think ava and i should get lighter detentions or none at all. i had only attacked as self-defence, which i say should be excused, at least this one time. i slapped lucian because i was trying to stop him from hurting ava, and i kicked thorn becase she sliced my face, kneed me in the stomach, and pinned my arm behind my back. i had quoted rule 26 directly when i was trying to get lucian out. and i think ava should definitely get no detention. she came in and was immediately met with a face full of insults and the next second, her face was full of blood. same with jannette, since she was completely innocent here."
she decided not to mention that she thought thorn and lucian should get the most punishment. she thought they could tell that on their own.
she took the pressure pad gratefully from cassandra, and eased her hand from her head, which looked as if it had been sliced, too. she wiped her hand on the pad, then put it onto her head.
guinevere didnt want to go to the hospital wing. she wanted to stay right until thorn's verdict was uttered. that girl deserved none other than a month of scrubbing toilets.

Ava:

Irina:

Irina looked at Jannette while her friend seemed to be in panic for being caught there. To be honest, she, Elira, Alora and Bea were not to blame at all for all that had happen there. "I'm sorry Janny!" She muttered now regretting to even had that idea to start with. In what was she thinking, getting all of them together? How could she had been so naive and believed that it was possible to pass a good time with such a mix of people? Inclusively, some she hadn't known until then...so she should had thought about the possibility of things went down the road. A backup plan, yes! Next time she will have one!

Her attention were now focused on Cash. The prefect decided to be the one to first speak their sentence. Irina felt herself squeeze and shrink at the heaviness of the prefect's words. So many rules had been broken that afternoon. Technically she hadn't broke any of them...but she helped others to do it, so in her point of view that also made her guilty. And even if she hadn't broken them, this was all her doing...the invitation, the idea for it, to bring her friends...all of that, the point of start was made by her! And that's why Colin's words left her speechless...why in all world would he assume that responsibility for himself? That was the most unfair thing she'd heard since they started explaining each other. She could never let that go that way, never! At Guinevere's arguments she felt indignant...she and Ava were innocent? Is she joking?

Irina let them speak before, once more, trying to reason with the three prefects now looking at them, like three sharks surrounding a sea of frighten little fishes. "Prefects...once again, I apologize for everything. It wasn't my intention to start something like this, it was just an opportunity to have fun and know each other better!" She stated looking at the other young slytherins, "As it was my and Bea's personal space, and since we both agreed to it, I don't see why is so wrong for Luci and Colin to be here! In my personal space I choose to have them! Next time, if you don't feel comfortable, you just leave!" she argued her voice getting a little louder when she looked directly at Guinevere and then at Ava, "You don't insult who's welcomed to my dorm, my closest friends! Do you think, Ava, if I was like you, that I would had invited you? After all you have said? But you apologised to us, I have accepted your apology, and then what? You call us scum, with mud blood in our veins?! YOU?? Who are you?" Ree was feeling angry at this point...she had been containing her feelings but she was finally losing control on herself, "I can't believe you guys don't know how to behave, how to respect each other at least! If I don't like to stay in the same place as another I just leave!" She finished saying, now feeling nervous and her body started to shake with the adrenaline of finally speaking her mind. "Is true that was a lot of insults shared and lot of unnecessary violence. This will not happen again, not in my dorm! Where both of you," Irina pronounced in a strong voice pointing to Guinevere and Ava, "Will never get a foot again! Especially you Ava, you don't have to bother apologizing again! As with Thorn, well I think her boyfriend can go call for her!" Irina crossed her arms looking at the prefects, like she was holding herself in an embrace, waiting for whatever would be their decision. She was definitely not waiting to escape detention. Again!

I paced in the room. It was way past when I should've been up, certainly breaking curfew. That wasn't the only rule I was going to break tonight. I worried that I would be expelled, or worse. But I had to follow through with my actions. My planning had led up to this moment. It wasn't much planning, but it was enough, hopefully. I needed to sneak into Colin and Lucian's dorm, and stick the possibly not silver knife right through Lucian's heart. If I failed, he would continue tormenting me, continue glaring at me when I entered a room. That was enough to make up my mind. I walked as quietly as I could so as not to wake up Elira, my roommate, and slipped through the door into the common room. I proceeded to head towards the boys dormitories until I finally arrived, hand fidgeting with the knife tucked safely into my pajama pants. I was breaking three-no four rules tonight. Any other time I would've smirked, but this felt like a terrible decision. Sure, breaking one rule at a time was fine when you just got one detention and were sent on your way, but four rules done by one person in one go? That could get me expelled. I was out past curfew, going into the opposite genders dormitory, having a weapon other than my wand on me, and trying to harm someone. I had no idea what my punishment was but I tried not to think of it as I slowly turned the handle to their dorm. From my line of sight, Lucian was in one bed wearing-GRIFFINDOR PAJAMAS? I frowned. Wasn't he at least loyal to his house? Never the less I moved closer, closer, ever so close to him and listened to his soft snores for a second. Well, maybe not so soft. Actually, not at all soft. More like a chainsaw. I glanced at Colin and wrinkled my nose. How could he sleep with all this noise? Carefully, I took stood for a moment more, feeling the cold metal against my skin, although it was beginning to warm up. I couldn't stall any longer. I took the knife and raised it above my head. It was then that it struck me. I wasn't just hurting this kid, I was killing him. I couldn't do this to a mostly innocent, very annoying, possibly handsome boy who still had a future coming for him. I was about to slip out of the room, or at least tuck the knife away, when he woke up, giving a highpitched, blood-curdling scream that could shatter glass. With the knife still raised, I screamed with him, screams rising into the otherwise silent night.

The day had gone pretty bad to be honest, I was on edge all day and everything had annoyed me. I went to bed hopeful for a better morning. I fell asleep rather quickly, to be honest, but as I lay in my slumber I felt weird. Like someone was staring at me.

I turned in my sleep and hastily opened my eyes, rubbing the sleep out of them. I looked up to see a darkened figure staring at me with some— THAT’S A BLOODY KNIFE!

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!” I let out a high pitched scream one could class as girly. The person - is that Winchect? - let out their own yell, the knife raised. Thinking irrationally, I scrambled off the bed, my arse hitting the floor with a painful thump as I tried to no avail to get myself untangled from my duvet.

"COLIN! COLIN MATE WAKE UP!” I screamed, my voice sounding horse as I scrambled onto the older boy’s bed. Tears built up in my eyes, my tired body begging to drop yet the adrenaline running through my veins was the only thing keeping me awake.

It was only then I realised my glasses weren’t on and that I was wearing them damned jammies. I was so tired and cold that I just put them on for warmth! I shivered in freight, covered arms littering with goosebumps.

My body was shaking as stared at the figure, wait, was this someone from the malfoy dorm? They had suddenly thought that I should be killed for my condition?
“Michael, you will tell me if you ever see a Werewolf. Right? I wouldn’t be surprised if that school of yours is teeming with them!” Adrian said, patting Luci’s shoulder. “They would kill their own family you know,” he said…. Lucian could have sworn he saw recognition? Or something in his eyes. Did he know?
Was this… did grandad send someone to snuff me out?

A tear dripped down my cheek as I continued to stare at the shadow-like person. I wish Colin would wake up!

Solomon was not one to look for trouble, trouble often found him. He simply did not sleep well, he never did. The night was far too still for his liking, there was far too much noise in the quiet. So, he did what he always did in the late nocturne hours after the children were safe in their beds. He walked, and he walked. He walked until his feet were sore and his legs were good and tired. He walked until the noises were nothing more than white noise, like rain pattering on a tin roof some lonesome night. In his exhaustion he would find his moment of peace, in truth less peace and more a brief period of time where he was too tired to even remember he was alive. He would not dream, but he preferred it that way. There was something hollow in the escape to a fantasy and his nightmares were far to cruel to continue to suffer.

He saw her sometimes, both of them. The scorn on their faces, even when he saved them. Even when he was the hero he lauded himself to be never enough to earn their gratitude or their forgiveness and in a way, he knew it would be a fresh hell if they did forgive him. No, he needed his miserable drudgery. He deserved Plott's ire and he hated his moments f weakness that have culminated in numerous losses. He would like to think he became a better man because of it, just years too late and a few dollars too short yet he was only different, not better.

He was getting tired. It had begun to hurt. He had found himself in the dungeons, a part of him frequented these catacomb-like tunnels because he was looking for something, or someone. Those wretched crones had infiltrated the school and infected several of the students. How they got so far... so close. It plagued him. He never found them, but he found evidence of their former hide-aways. A place so big, so easily forgotten.

So, he was not far when he heard the scream. Or rather the screams. From the Slytherin dorms.

They were back. "They," being the ambiguous darkness, the loathsome hags, something new and even more dastardly. The silence was deafening until now. "I'm coming!" He cried as he did not waste his time seeking the door, breaking into the common room only to find his way through the maze that was the Slytherin commons and eventually the dormitories. Through the wall, the shortest distance between two points continued to be a straight line even if he needed to break his way through the solid stone.

"Evanesco!"

Well, purge it into non-existence. The bricks and the mortar torn from this reality and eradicated utterly. A rough, roundish gap in the wall would reveal the contents of the Slytherin dorm within. The broken wall and the splintered furniture on the other side would frame the skene before him. Of a boy resting in bed, allegedly... no apparently roused by his own murder. Some girl. Yes "some girl", was the best description he had for the unassuming, average-appearing girl holding a knife over the defenseless youth in bed. Heralded by the boy's screams, he was summoned to his chambers as was likely so many others. And if not, they soon would be.

"The bloody hell!" The Headmaster Solomon Lear, in case there was any question who was in the room at this time would boom. Was he aware of the other incident, the one involving a knife? No, not yet. Would he soon be made aware of it... likely. Of children running around with cutlery and threatening to... stab their peers in the dead of night. An act that if committed would have been certain expulsion. As it was, what was he supposed to do when there was someone going around threatening (another case) and actually acting (or nearly so)? Say 'that's wrong, I trust you will not murder again' and hope that they don't? And even if he had such a severe failure in judgement, it was unlikely they, their source and likely their friends would have access to anything sharper than a spork for the duration of their freshman year.

I stood still, staring at the knife still held in my hand. I was frozen, horrified with herself. I couldn't believe that she had actually considered this plan and put it into action. It felt like waking up from a horribly realistic dream and then realizing it was real. I began shaking and the dagger dropped to the floor. I still held her arm raised where it would have been with the knife. I couldn't believe I was here, in this situation. I was aware of a literal hole being blasted through the walls and the headmaster coming through. I shook harder, realizing more and more the depth of trouble I was in. Colin and Lucian looked shocked, but surely not as scared as I felt. Feeling stiff, I looked around for an exit, somewhere I could hide or something, anything! I began sobbing uncontrollably, my screams left somewhere where lost things go. certainly it was the place I was heading. There was no escape for me, I realized, knowing that surely prefects were on their way. I faced Headmaster Lear, tears still streaming down my face.
"Headmaster Lear, I-I'm really sorry! this is all my fault! Take me away!" I had always had a sort of dramatic flair to me. Between the late night and the stress, you couldn't judge me when I held out my hands to be shackled, expecting to be dragged out of the castle to a horrible place where dreams died and murderers' screams echoed through the halls.

Hjørdis sighed as she stopped in her tracks as the noise hit her ears. It was late at night. She was on her usual nightly patrols. Why? Because students proved time and time again that they could not be trusted. It was tiring, no doubt, but there was limited choice in the matter. It seemed people did not care for the rules, despite the fact that they were there for their own safety. Truly, sometimes she had to wonder if expelling all of them was the best option - it would certainly make life easier for her.

Without hesitation, she turned on her toes and broke out into a sprint - dashing through the hallways as she made her way over in the direction of the sound. The boys' dormitory was far too likely for this time of night and the screams were bad. She had not forgotten the times the students had been in real danger in these dormitories.

As she ran, her eyes immediately fell onto Headmaster Lear, who had arrived at the scene just ahead of her - eradicating the scenery with a flick of his wrist. It looked like an exact repeat of what she had been told by Opeila Winters the day prior. A girl - in that case, Thorn - had a knife and attacked a boy. This seemed oddly similar, though it was now happening in one of the boys' dorms.

With a flick of her own wrist and a mutter of 'Accio', she moved the knife that had been dropped towards her - and away from the students. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Hjørdis snapped, not caring for some fake tears and a half-assed apology. Was there no end to the madness? "What is going on?" She demanded to know, staring daggers at the trio of them right now.

"Where did you get this from?" She continued, as she held the knife knowing full well that Opeila mentioned Thorn had one yesterday and there might have been more. She looked over to the Headmaster, "There may be more." She informed him under her breathe.

Thorn:

Thorn couldn't settle the uneasy feeling in her stomach. She knew it was a terrible idea to give Ava that knife but Ava did say it was a craft. She made a promise to herself that she would give all her weapons to the head of house tomorrow except the ones she needed for clubs. She sat up in bed and walked across to the door she needed to find Ava and take the knife back. She opened the door to catch a glimpse of Ava slinking down the stairs. Supicious she followed Ava down the stairs and up to the boys dormitory. She stopped just outside the door and heard screaming. They were Lucian's screams. She was about to take action when the Headmaster rushed by her she trailed after him. One look at Luci's tear stained face and it was all over. Tears just poured down her face as she ran towards him and caught him in a flying hug nearly knocking him onto Colin. She just hugged him tighter and cried into his shoulder. "I'm so sorry Luci, I know i've been a terrible friend, just please don't leave me nobodys ever stuck with me this long" she whisper sobbed into his shoulder. She held tight to Luci, she knew it could be the last time he would ever want to talk to her. After all she had started this whole mess.

Colin:

In the darkness of night Colin's body lay in peaceful slumber, sprawled out on his bed. Pond scum green eyes were closed to the outer world, but were by no means closed to all things. Colin dreamed.

At first he and Clair, up on the astronomy tower. They leapt from the tower and were borne high up into the air, at first upon brooms. They squealed with delight at the freedom and sensation of flying! As they went higher, their brooms became an occamy and they flew to many distant lands! And the dream changed. Blue skies and high clouds became tinged with deep crimson and cries could be heard from the lands far below. Clair was gone. The occamy was gone. Only the whimpering of some hurt creature remained.

Colin descended into darkness. The sounds of comrades in arms called out his name! Smoke and fumes were everywhere! The enemy was upon them! The Liche King was advancing, and his ally the Blood Queen stood with him! Thunderous booms as of mighty bombardons and thunderous magics filled Colin's world.

Colin awoke to --- what the heck? "THE BLOODY HELL!" A voice that wasn't his roared nearby, a grown man's voice. Someone was in bed with him!? Lucian. Colin bolted upright. The booming sounds weren't cannonade, rather, the tremendous sounds must indeed have been magical. He could hear tiny bits of blasted stone and debris settle near the walls that led from the common rooms and into the dorms. Colin sat bolt upright in bed. What happened? Why was Luci---

Then he saw the glint of metal in the hands of --- a girl? His curtains weren't fully drawn around his bed, so he could see someone still standing there, near Lucian's bed. Colin's eyes widened. Not in fright. No. He was angry. Perhaps not quite as powerful in his own anger as the unknown voice, but whoever that girl was, she was trying to attack his mate!

Colin's own wand was out in a second. He'd taken to keeping it in a sheath secured to his right arm. The girl mumbled some words that Colin couldn't quite get. He pointed it at the knife wielder and deftly flicked it. "FLIPENDO!" he cried. The magic left his wand and its burst of radiant energy struck the would be murderer smack in the chest, sending her flying a couple yards!

Colin could see the glint of metal as it rose in an arc and gracefully landed with a thud in the floor. Colin opened his curtains and leapt out of bed. He wanted to check on Lucian's attacker, to find out who had made all the noise, to find out what was going on! "I don't know who the heck you think are!" he shouted as he got free of the bed curtains. "Headmaster Lear! Professor Jensen! WHOA."

Colin was going to ask the Headmaster what he was doing down in the neighbourhood so late at night, but the knife at the old man's feet, plus the intruder, plus the huge gaping holes in the walls of dorm and corridor alike warned him that something serious was going on. Professor Jensen being the head of House Slytherin, her presence wasn't so much of a surprise. He kept his mouth shut and tucked his wand back into its sheath on his arm. He bowed slightly to both as Professor Jensen began questioning the would be murderer and lupocide and turned to check on Lucian, where he found Thorn was also in his bed! What is it with this house!?

Did the scene make sense? No. Some girl standing over some boy's bed, a pre-teen at that with murderous intent with a knife. Not one of their knives, the ones from the kitchen barely cut crusty bread. No, she got her Gordon Ram-Slay collection from some other epicurean establishment. Nora would burst in from the other side, they had the hag... the mental escapee... the over-eager barber ready to give him the shave to end of his life.

The girl confessed immediately, he was not entirely sure what the waterworks were for. Her victim was the one who should be in tears considering the close call, the invasion of safety and intimacy that came with an attack during one's vulnerable sleep.

He would look past her with his pale eyes, god damn Nora was pretty even in the middle of the night. Browne was a damned idiot to walk away from that. But he never accused the man of being particularly clever. "Nor-- Miss Jensen," he coughed. The kids. The killers. The erm... minor people and side characters.

She would go in on them. Not that he blamed her, they had enough enemies to worry about without having to worry about madness inside of their own walls. "You should really get away from her," he was referring to Ava but honestly Nora was more terrifying than any knife. "I don't know what she is," he added. He was not taking any risks. He was not turning a blind eye. he could not. It was not a matter of would he but rather could he.

Nora would mention that there may be more. "More what?" His eyes flickered down at the knife in Nora's hand. "More--" his face crinkled a bit in disgust. "Muggle weapons? What sort of muggle-some nonsense is this, did they forget that they have wands?" He was exasperated, the right answer would have been 'oh no, there are more weapons.' Truth be told, it was like running into a sword fight with a pool noodle. They were not even murdering one another correctly.

Some girl, assuming the attire to be reminiscent of her avatar in some matter, so with presumed daddy issues, would rush into the room to embrace one of the boys. Again, drama, theatrics. It was barely into the school year and among first years, apparently Lucifer... erm Lucian was the longest. That says so much with so little.

Poor Colin, a rare first but true statement would rouse to this mess. "Guys, get away from the girls," he wished he could just say they had cooties. And tell me... us," Nora too. "What," if they even knew themselves "is going on?
The same question being peppered from both sides on the newly roused young man torn from their fitful slumbers to this mess of estrogen and murder.

Colin:

The Headmaster was not amused. Colin reckoned that House Slytherin had probably broken about four hundred and thirty two school rules in the last week alone! But tonight --- whoa. Two knives in about as many nights? Colin turned his attention back to the Headmaster, as he was talking with Professor Jensen. Wait. Did he just call her Nora? That must be her name. Not that Colin would ever call an adult by their first name!

He was talking about getting away from 'her' --- Colin could only assume that he meant the would-be killer. Winchect. Ava. A first year. It was so much to take in, but Colin paid rapt attention to everything the two adults said. Professor Jensen interrogated Ava about the knife that she'd picked up. Asked where she got it.

Colin tried very hard to suppress a laugh as Headmaster Lear accused the girl of wielding a muggle weapon. The only thing to give away his sudden mirth in the midst of mayhem was his gently shaking body. He was glad that the Headmaster had a sense of humour --- and Colin reveled in it! Hadn't he thought the same thing the other evening? When Thorn, the same girl who was now sitting with Lucian on Colin's bed, no less! had attacked Guinevere with a similar muggle weapon! What was it with these two? And to his knowledge, Thorn wasn't even a muggleborn. She had a wand, right? Why not use that!

But when Professor Jensen said there might be more knives around, Colin got to wondering. Who else might be dark enough to relish knifing someone in the night? Colin let out a long slow breath. Headmaster Lear asked what was going on in Regulus Dorm. Whoa. What wasn't going on in here would be the easier question to answer!

Colin looked around. The only people that knew anything were Ava, Lucian, and himself. He decided to go first. He was just a witness --- neither victim nor attacker. "Well, sir, I was asleep, dreaming. About Clair!" Colin blushed, his entire chest and face turning bright red. He doesn't need to know that lad! "Er! A---Anyway, the dream changed, everything was dark and red. I saw smoke and darkness and heard screaming. It was like a battle! Loud booming noises like cannons or like powerful magic destroying everything!

"I woke up and found Lucian next to me in bed. He was terrified, sir! I --- could smell the fear. Thorn," he pointed to yesterevening's knife girl; "she was over there too. But I saw Winchect --- Ava --- she was standing over by Lucian's bed. Just there," he pointed. "I didn't know who she was at first. I don't know her scent well. But I saw the glint of metal in her hand. That knife Professor Jensen has now. I reckoned someone was trying to kill my mate Luci! So, I flipendoed her!"

Colin smiled, just a little proudly! At least Ava couldn't hurt Luci any more. "And, er, that's when I realised you and Professor Jensen were in here as well! Whoa." That was a lot to get out, but now he'd be very interested in hearing what Luci and Ava had to say!

Her eyes narrowed in an instance as Thorn Cullen entered the dorm. The very girl who Opeila had reported the night prior. Well then, it seemed that the girl was associated with this too. Things were shaping up to be rather fortunate for her, it would seem. She could punish everyone in one go, rather than having to find them all individually. Perhaps expulsion was the easiest method here.

"Ironic, is it not? The school is full of magic and the news is littered with purebloods discriminating against muggles and yet, a group of Slytherins forget they are magical," Hjørdis stated in a matter of fact tone, responding directly to the Headmaster's disgust. "Or perhaps it's a reflection of their own inability as witches," She added as she cast her eyes over to Thorn, knowing what had transpired not twenty-four hours prior.

"Second knife in two days. Your faces match the names in the report I was given this morning. Yesterday the girl's dorm, today here?" She continued, showing she was fully aware of what happened prior, "Are you simply working your way around to every location?". She had spared them once by not telling the Headmaster. Yet, instead of laying low and repenting for their actions, they chose to try again. Did they really think the smartest option was to opt to attack someone in the middle of the night? Not that Colin or Lucian were entirely innocent in the matter - their names were in yesterday's report. However, that did not mean they deserved to be attacked in the middle of the night.

There had better be an explanation from each and every single one of them that properly explained what they were doing and it had better be good. She was done with the nonsense now. It was late, she was tired and this racket was not going to help anyone else. This was not the sort of behaviour she had expected from anyone, let alone her Slytherins.

Thorn:

Thorn jumped when Colin sent Ava flying backwards. The head of house had entered the dorm and began her rant. Thorn felt quite targetted, she hadn't just tried to kill a housemate. All thought most of this was her fault. She suddenly regretted her actions over the last few day."Wait, It's true i'm the one yesterday but just a few moments ago it was Ava who tried to kill Luci" she paused "I know i'm not completely innocent either I gave Ava the knife, it's a sewing knife she said it was for a craft. So I gave her a sewing knife because I assumed she liked sewing. And yes there are more weapons, I was planning on turning them in tomorrow" she pleaded with the head of house. She couldn't be expelled her siblings would kill her. I'm not trying to make enemies here and I know it was a stupid idea to give her the knife." she begged. She looked at Colin and then at Luci almost pleadeing with them to back her up. "I would never hurt Luci he means too much to me and I wouldn't hurt Colin either." she said still not letting go of Lucian. "I'll take whateverf punishment you have, just don't punish Luci or Colin."

The noise did not only alert professors.
One certain Slytherin prefect would also bolt out of her bed with a gasp when there were first loud screams and then a- well, what even? An explosion?
The colour drained from Opeila's face as she began to realise what that likely meant. Another attack. More traumatized children. Had they already failed to protect one of them? Shaky fingers reached for her wand, then Opeila darted out of her dormroom, not even closing the door behind her.

Where had the screams come from? Judging by the vague direction, she guessed boys' dorms, so Opeila spribted up the stairs and ran through the corridor. Thank god she was barefooted (who even slept with socks in bed), it helped her to make less noise.
Yes, there was an open door, that had to be it. Opeila stopped, leaning her back against the wall, next to the door, gasping for air. Now there was crying... And voices?

Slowly Opeila stepped away from the wall and into the room, still clasping her wand tightly. The scene before her was not even a little like what she had expected. There were two girls, two boys and two professors.
And... a hole in the wall. Had professor Jensen or Lear cast a spell at it? "I'm sorry, I- I woke up from the screams and just wanted to make sure that no one... died. Is anyone hurt?", she asked, still breathing quickly.

Slowly she understood. No danger. Everyone was safe. The shaking went past her hands now, her whole body was trembling and she felt almost a bit dizzy with relief. The still pale fourth year crossed her arms, trying to hide it.
Only then she saw the knife in Professor Jensen's hand- a different one than she had given to her in the morning. If she could, she would make eye contact with the head of house for a second, then look at Thorn, who was sobbing at Lucian's shoulder.

She would also look over to Colin and Ava. Was this some kind of aftermath from the night before? Had Thorn tried to attack someone again? Now that the first shock was over, Opeila began to feel angry. She wouldn't say one word to the children, this one she would let the Professors handle, but tiredness, anger and the fear she had felt until a moment ago brought her to the edge of tears as well. "She is the one who was punched by that boy for revealing that he is a werewolf.", she informed Professor Jensen with a shaky, quiet voice, first looking at Ava, then at Lucian, before stepping back, looking for the security of a wall she could lean against, not fully trusting her legs.

Usually Cash a heavy sleeper but not tonight. After they had their much-needed warm shower after they did the Polar Plunge errand, their body felt like someone had hit them with a truck plus the incident that occurred at the girl's dorm drained their energy. As they lay in bed, they were tossed and turned while waiting to sleep to come over them.

Then they heard faintly someone let out blood curling scream and followed by a sound of a blast. What now?, the young Ironwoods said to themselves slightly irritated with the nonsense that happened in the dead of the night. Cash just put on their glasses (which Cash rarely used) when they saw Winters run out of the room and did not even bother to close the door.

Seeing how the urgency seeped into their dorm mate, Cash could not help to worry as well. They run like a bat out of a cave but still had time to close their dorm bedroom door. As soon as Cash arrived at the scene, a lot of people were already there. Cash then saw the gaping hole in the wall. What was happening now?, Cash wondered to themselves as the next day had barely begun and yet another drama had unfolded.

Inside the room, there are already a lot of people. It is a rare occurrence that Headmaster Lear graces his presence. Cash could understand why Professor Jensen was there. She is the Head of the Slytherin house. Cash thought with their presence there, will cramp the room even more. Their green eyes bounced from one person to the next.

Winchect is crying, and so does both Cullen and Mornstern. What is this madness they walk into?. As their green eyes landed on the knife that was now in Professor Jensen's possession. Why these bloody chaotic mess did not learn their lesson from the previous day? Cash will never know. Thorn let out a wail. Between her wails, she just confessed that both of the crimes from yesterday and today were hers.

Thorn also claimed that she is planning to turn all her knives but somehow Cash was skeptical about it. They wanted to yell at them like they did yesterday but there were already two adults in their presence and Cash let both Headmaster Lear and Professor Jensen handle the more dire situation. Cash leaned back not too far from where Winters stood as they stare at the crying terrified or what the hell going on right now group of kids.

They wanted to yell at both Cullen and Winchect but they reigned it. Instead, Cash took a deep breath and opened their mouth. "Excuse me if I don't buy your every single word you said, Cullen. But you could just hide some daggers somewhere in your room and give them the rest to Professor Jensen so she thinks she already confiscated all your weaponry,"The tired fourth year said.

"I have no other choice but to raid your room so I know what you saying is the truth,"The Cuban descendant uttered to the room full of people.

M onica slumbered in her bed, her mind racing, not with dreams, but vague thoughts. Everything still a blur over what had transpired over her Christmas holidays. There was no shaking what she now knew.

The night dragged on, and at last sleep over took Monica. Who knows how much time had passed by, but in a moment, she jolted awake.

A scream?

She gazed around her dorm... her curtains were wide open. She rubbed her eyes, perhaps she had imagined the whole thing?

A crash happened, and footsteps were heard pacing in the hallway. What on earth was going on?

She jumped out of bed, just to see if there was something stirring, grabbing her robe, she ventured into the hall. Sure enough noises lead her to the boys Dorm... and what a scene to stumble upon. Head master Lear was there, with Professor Jenson and most of the prefects... where was Maggie?

Monica entered the scene but kept her tongue... as a prefect she felt she should be here to offer any help if need be. As she surveyed the scene, she noticed those who were reported for some big fight, not but 24 hours before this. She noted Colin and Luci, who was particularly shook about whatever had happened. Monica dropped her head, she couldn't help but feel her lack of setting a good example was partly to blame for how insane this first years have been...

Cash was talking with Thorn... Monica came to their side, "I am here if assistance is needed checking rooms..." Monica offered, sleep still streaked across her face, but her mind was fully alert. She couldn't just stand here and do nothing! This was her time to show she COULD be a good prefect!

This was getting worse by the moment. Students were starting to mill outside of the room, peering around Jensen to get a view of the drama. There was little chance that this would be suppressed, forgotten or left to rumor and circumstance as a dozen or more bore witness to the near travesty. Nora would admit that this was the second knife. When did the Slytherin dorms become muggle Sparta? "Second?" He repeated, hoping his ears were simply clogged. His brow creased as Cassandra Ironwoods rebuked the dramatic goth girl (Thorn Cullen), a supply of knives for what?

Another Prefect even volunteered to check rooms. "Wasn't one enough?" He wondered outload with an audible gravely grumble. "No--" he raised his hand, feeling the air leave him and diminish slightly in size. "Yes," he was wrestling with a thought that pervaded his mind.

"You're OK? No new marks, additional or missing appendages?" He looked to Morningstern the almost victim. "We need you to be looked at," he added with intense seriousness.

"The hags were dead?" he glanced over towards Nora with worry in his eyes. They would not be able to take their eyes off the tear-eyed girl. "Right?" He needed some sort of affirmation. Confirmation. He was not entirely sure any more. He needed Nurse Polonius and Orion right now. Now, in the middle of the night.

There was an uncomfortable silence that would come from the Headmaster even if there was all sorts of performative theatrics. "Miss Winters, I need you to get Professor Horne," the Astronomy Professor. Merlin-willing, one of the other Professors that was likely still awake. "Tell her what happened, that we need her in the Slytherin dorms and we need her to check for weapons... check for anything suspicious. If she does find something dark, I need her to go to Professor Lécuyer." It was not a simple task, the Astronomy Tower was on the other side of the castle, at the peak of a tower and they were at present in a basement. "Quickly," he added.

Speaking of Lécuyer, the Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts. He was probably sleeping... with someone. did he have any near-sighted prefects? Big coke-bottle glasses preferred. "I need someone," he glanced around at those who had gathered. Who were the other Prefects again? Ah that one looked familiar, Monica Evans a second year and a Prefect. He did not know her because she did not really get in trouble, unlike her peers. She seemed to not nearly die, get herself cursed, ride on an exploding training [looking at you Opeila]. She was devastatingly 'normal' that ironically being her claim to fame. "You, I don't know you... you're probably one of the other Prefects," he proclaimed. Accurate, but concerning. "I need you to get Professor Lécuyer... do not look inside his quarters" lest you might go blind. "Tell him what happened her and tell him that we need him here right away. We need to search these rooms for weapons and other *cough* cursed *cough* concerns. I need his eyes and his mind, right now," he ordered empathetically.

The plan was simple, check. Learn. Know. If there were any hags in the castle (again) he would soon know. If they were just dealing with a homicidal pre-teen, well that is a bit easier to abolish. Yet he feared it went deeper, twice in days. The would-be victim was a werewolf wasn't he? He wondered if there were any other incidents surrounding Marcus' pack. He hoped not, it triggered sentiments he preferred to keep buried of losses of his own.

"Does anyone know where Nurse Frogge is?" Polonius Frogge that is. They would not have the luxury of letting the girl slip off back to her bed and expect anyone to get any sleep. Not that anyone was getting any sleep tonight. [Cash if you want a task this is your moment.]

Two more prefects entered the room after Opeila- she was not at all surprised that one of them was Cash. If her dormmate hadn't been awake before, they certainly had when Opeila stormed out.
Opeila would not react to their arrival. Her eyes were trained on the headmaster and Professor Jensen. Professor Lear told Lucian that he needed to be looked at, then turned to the Head of House, asking... if the hags were dead.

A barely audible, choked noise escaped Opeila upon hearing that. Hags. Was this Marion's doing? Had she bewitched any of the girls? Was there some kind of ritual that needed werewolf blood? Then Professor Lear turned to her, telling her to get Professor Horne. Before Opeila could respond anything, he added that she should go to Professor Lécuyer if she found anything dark.
The fourth year would hold the eyecontact for another moment "Anything dark?", she repeated, giving the word 'dark' an emphasis that may appear peculiar. At least to all those that had never encountered a shadow monster.

Opeila felt her heart beat faster. Could it be possible that all of it was going to return? Hags, shadow monsters, SCAR? ... Vladimir?
The young fourth year gripped one hand with her other to suppress the shaking. The mere thought of leaving her common room with this info made her want to refuse, hide, but instead she heard herself respond. "Right away, professor." Those who knew her better would certainly be able to register that her voice had become higher, but was still surprisingly steady.

But then Opeila would not go right away, she would stop at her dorm. After all, she had jumped out of bed and run, but it was too cold outside to not take shoes and a coat.
Then, with a deep breath, the prefect would step out of the common room, into the dark and cold corridor.

Things had become blurry for the young Ironwoods. Not because of the situation at hand. No. But more because of what they should do next. At this time of hours, Cash was supposedly already in their peaceful slumber but this group of chaotic mess messed up their sleeping schedule. Their eyes are tired and their mind is exhausted.

For the last two days, this first year was nothing but a pain for the fourth year. They had yelled at them but it seems they did not heed what Cash screamed at them. Now the situation get more complicated. Cullen had lent Winchcect a knife. In Cullen's defense, it was a sewing knife for Winchect's craft.

Cash could care less what kind of knife it was supposed to be the purpose of but a knife is a knife. Cash could not think straight. Who in their right mind lending someone a knife that easily the Beater thought to themselves. At this time of the night Cash lost track of time. They just want this whole messed-up situation to be over so they could back to their peaceful slumber and perhaps sleep until Saturday come.

But it seems no one had the privilege to sleep tonight. In their tired mind, Cash registered Evans's voice. She offered to help Cash to check rooms when it is needed. The young socialite could not say much until either Headmaster Lear or Professor Jensen had their final say. At the mention of a hag, Cash remembered some months (or years ago, Cash was not sure which) ago the school was been invested by one.

Then their memory flew back to the shadow spider attack that happened during their first year. It seems Hogwarts become a dark place and yet many students did not know the risk of going into it. Headmaster Lear then asked Mornstern about his well-being. Cash's green eyes fleeted to where Winchect was located.

Still in silence and yet fuming because, unlike yesterday, Cash could not scream at the murderous tendency girl. Then Headmaster Lear told Winters to go grabbed Professor Horne. He also ordered Evans to summon Professor Lécuyer. It is bad enough when the headmaster of the school and the Head of the House put down their foot.

And when the situation involved other Professors, the situation got amped up from bad to worst. This whole situation was not what Cash imagine when they got the job as a Prefect. It drained their energy, Cash was sure they could fall asleep while standing up. But like many other Prefects that came before them, they had sworn to protect all student bodies whether it is their own house or not.

Headmaster Lear then asked did anyone knows where the school nurse is. Since there was no other Prefect available except themselves in the room, Cash shake themselves awake and stepped up. "I could tell Nurse Frogge that you summoned him, Professor,"The Beater said without missing a beat. Cash will search the entire school if they have to, to find where the school nurse at these godforsaken witching miserable hours.

"What do you need, Prof? Should I grab him and lead Nurse Frogged here or perhaps bring one or both of the boys to the Hospital Wing?"They asked the Headmaster. For monumentally Cash forgot about both Cullen and Winchcect's mental state. They just want to check and make sure both McCoire and Mornstern was okay and no other trauma was inflicted by the possessed girl (Ava).

They never thought they could involve this deeply in whatever the hell going on right now and care about someone else other than themselves. But here they are - in the middle of the storm - and just want to protect their peers from whatever big bad thing circling in the air at these ungodly hours.

I jumped again as a loud crash happened. "The bloody hell!" someone cried, it was Headmaster Lear! Good! He was here and he could help! I wiped my face again, embarrassingly aware of the tears staining my cheeks. Thats when I felt some collide with me. My heart skipped a beat in the first few seconds, did I miss it and Ava lunged at me? Was she about to stab me in the back?

“I’m so sorry, Luci, I know I’ve been a terrible friend, just please don’t leave me. Nobodies ever stuck with me this long,” she cried, wait why was she crying? What did she do? She held me tighter.

“What- you haven’t done-done anything wrong darlin’,” I told her quietly, taking quick breath’s, my voice cracking. Oh Merlin, wait till I tell Baxter!

Thats when I saw Colin wake up, what a time. Sorry mate. He bolted upright and within moments casting “flipendo” on my assailant. The knife went soaring into the air and landed, Thorn jumped next to me. I watched him try and get out of bed. “I don't know who the heck you think are!" he shouted as he got free of the bed curtains. "Headmaster Lear! Professor Jensen! WHOA." he then turned around.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Jensen snapped as she called the knife over to her. At least she didn’t have the knife!

“What the professor said! What the hell, Winchect? Are you mental?!” I exclaimed, my heart still pounding.

“What is going on?” she demanded, then asking where she got she got the knife from and then saying to the headmaster how she may have more. I got out of Thorns embrace and hugged my own knees, so much for a nice night! Even Headmaster Lear—

Oh my…. mother would have a heart attack when she learns about this! Nearly get stabbed in the night and have not only the head of houses intervention but also the headmaster! Don’t even want to think about Grandfather’s reaction!

“More--" Lear’s face scrunched up. "Muggle weapons? What sort of muggle-some nonsense is this, did they forget that they have wands?”

Jensen started speaking, “Ironic, is it not? The school is full of magic and the news is littered with purebloods discriminating against muggles and yet, a group of Slytherins forget they are magical," Jensen responded directly to the Headmaster.

Wait, was she taking a dig at me too cuz I dived for Colin’s bed? Honestly, I wasn’t in the mood to find out.

"Or perhaps it's a reflection of their own inability as witches," she added as she cast her eyes at Thorn. Or maybe using a knife is easier? Quicker? Knifes aren’t a muggle thing, we use them everyday!

"Second knife in two days. Your faces match the names in the report I was given this morning. Yesterday the girl's dorm, today here?" She continued, showing she was fully aware of what happened prior, "Are you simply working your way around to every location?" yeah, it didn’t look good but me and Colin - Thorn too? - were innocent in this!

I wouldn’t be surprised if they expelled us all! The amount of fuss us firstie snakes have been up to (and Colin, old, second year git) past 48 hours give or take! It wasn’t that long ago I hurt Ava! “Guys, get away from the girls,” Lear advised, asking what went off.

“Well, sir, I was asleep, dreaming. About Clair!" Colin blushed, his chest and face turning red. Way to go Alpha, haha. I felt bad from waking him up from his dream but it had to be done! "Er! A---Anyway, the dream changed, everything was dark and red. I saw smoke and darkness and heard screaming. It was like a battle! Loud booming noises like cannons or like powerful magic destroying everything! I woke up and found Lucian next to me in bed. He was terrified, sir! I --- could smell the fear,” I swallowed hard, I was - still am - very afraid! I’m too young to die! The only thought I had was get to Colin! Colin could protect me! Or at least we could protect each other!

“Thorn, she was over there too. But I saw Winchect --- Ava --- she was standing over by Lucian's bed. Just there," he pointed. "I didn't know who she was at first,” me either! Too dark. “I don't know her scent well. But I saw the glint of metal in her hand. That knife Professor Jensen has now. I reckoned someone was trying to kill my mate Luci! So, I flipendoed her!" Colin smiled, he seemed proud. "And, er, that's when I realised you and Professor Jensen were in here as well! Whoa."

That was pretty much what happened yeah.

“Wait, it’s true. I’m the one yesterday but just a few moments ago it was Ava who tried to kill Luci,” she paused, “I know i'm not completely innocent either I gave Ava the knife, it's a sewing knife she said it was for a craft. So I gave her a sewing knife because I assumed she liked sewing. And yes there are more weapons, I was planning on turning them in tomorrow,” she explained, “I'm not trying to make enemies here and I know it was a stupid idea to give her the knife,” she begged. She looked at Colin and I, an almost pleading look upon her face. "I would never hurt Luci he means too much to me and I wouldn't hurt Colin either,” she said still clinging to me. "I'll take whatever punishment you have, just don't punish Luci or Colin."

I stared at her before pushing her arms away from me and rushing to stand next to Colin. “YOU GAVE HER THE KNIFE!” I yelled, my eyes already clouding with tears. Flashes of multiple backstabs flashing through my head. I knew I was trusting people too easily! “I can’t believe you! Why- why…” I wiped my eyes as tears slowly dripped down my face.

It was her fault I almost died.

Then, to make things even better, Opeila came walking in! “ I'm sorry, I- I woke up from the screams and just wanted to make sure that no one... died. Is anyone hurt?" she asked.

Bet I looked a right mess.

Fluffy Gryffindork pyjamas with matching fluffy socks, very messy bed hair, glasses missing, wet eyes and cheeks, tears still streaming down my cheeks.

“She is the one who was punched by that boy for revealing that he is a werewolf,” Opeila said

“Rightly so,” I whispered to myself, not trusting my voice to go any louder. I ran a hand through my hair. I assume they want me to explain too. Before I could speak, Cash walked in!

“Excuse me if I don't buy your every single word you said, Cullen. But you could just hide some daggers somewhere in your room and give them the rest to Professor Jensen so she thinks she already confiscated all your weaponry. I have no other choice but to raid your room so I know what you saying is the truth,” Cash explained. Sadly, I turned to look at Thorn but I couldn’t look at her.

“I agree with her,” I said quietly. Much to my sleepy amazement, another prefect came over! It was Monica — ratty.

“I am here if assistance is needed checking rooms,” she said. Yet again, I ran a hand through my knotted hair, I need a brush. I guess it was my turn. Quickly though, I looked around to see where Winchect was. Wouldn’t put it past her to hurt me.

I cleared my throat and lifted my hood up, it was to make myself feel more secure. More safe. “S- so, I was sleeping and- and I- I dunno how to explain it but I just- I just woke up and she was standing over me! Just- just stood there with her arm raised- and- and she had a knife! I screamed and fell off the bed—” I started to cry, not even caring who was in the room. I was going to breakdown eventually and I don’t think Ree likes me enough right now to comfort me so why hold off. I started to breathe faster as the memories flashed and played in my head like a film. “And- and then she screamed and I screamed some more!” tears fell down my cheeks.

“AAAAAAAHH!” I squealed, the pain in my backside from falling off the bed better than the fear clutching at my little heart

I took shuddering breaths, a cough caught in my throat.

After hacking it out, I continued with my story. “After that I dived for Colin’s bed, I…” I swallowed, what would come out of my mouth is going to be childish. Pathetic. Weak. But it was the truth. “I knew he would prote- help me,” I switched up, protect was too babyish! And girly, ew.

Lear spoke to me, “You’re okay? No new marks, additional or missing appendages?” he asked. I shook my head, no marks apart from guaranteed nightmares and a fear of knives.

“No sir, or at least I don’t think so?” I replied, suddenly unsure. Had she already nicked me with the knife before I woke up? I knew all my limbs were normal. He then asked about hags.

“Miss Winters I need you to get Professor Horne, tell her what happened, that we need her in the Slytherin dorms and we need her to check for weapons. If she does find anything dark, I need her to get Professor Lécuyer. Quickly,”

Merlin, I feel bad for the staff! I felt myself looking over and staring at my bed, chest squeezing a little as I comprehended how close to death I was, the entire night going through my head again as my ears rang.

Monica awaited to instructions... this was a whole mess! Before getting any word from Cash, Luci began to speak up, sharing his side of the story. Monica listen, the rest of the room drowning out as he spoke, a shake to his voice. Monica couldn't help but feel sorry for him, sure he was a pain, but no one deserves to be stabbed in their sleep.

Before anything else could happen, Head Master Lear pointed out Monica, "You, I don't know you... you're probably one of the other Prefects, I need you to get Professor Lécuyer... do not look inside his quarters. Tell him what happened her and tell him that we need him here right away. We need to search these rooms for weapons and other *cough* cursed *cough* concerns. I need his eyes and his mind, right now."

Monica nodded, "Yes Head Master!" She said, before charging out of the room, nearly tripping over others that were standing by the door, she might have rammed into someone, but she didn't stop to register it.. she had a job to do!

Practically running through the common room when she felt a chill on her feet, looking down she saw she was less then ideally dressed for running around the castle. Pausing at the door, The Slytherin considered if it was worth changing... Taking a breath, she quickly turned on her heels to go back to her dorm, throwing on some shoes and putting her hair up, also grabbing her wand just incase.

She then bolted out through the common room to alert Professor Lécuyer, Lear's words ran through her mind "Do not look inside his quarters..." What on earth did that mean? Not that she was dying to take a peak, but why would that matter right now? Maybe it was a wizard thing? Like rude or something to see an adult wizard sleeping?

She would try her best but could not make any promises her gaze wouldn't fall in the room just a little...

Finally making her way up to the room, Monica banged on the door, practically falling on it as she did, "PROFESSOR LÉCUYER!" Monica yelled through the door, "HEAD MASTER LEAR REQUESTS YOU! IT'S SERIOUS!" She kept knocking till the professor answered... possibly also disturbing anyone within ear shot as well.

Thorn fell to the ground with a thud after Luci had pushed her off him. "Luci, I'm so sorry" she choked. Just then another prefect walked in. She recognized her from the Malfoy meeting drama. God she really did start drama wherever she went. She began speaking “Excuse me if I don't buy your every single word you said, Cullen. But you could just hide some daggers somewhere in your room and give them the rest to Professor Jensen so she thinks she already confiscated all your weaponry. I have no other choice but to raid your room so I know what you are saying is the truth,” she finished. "Go ahead they are all in the locked trunk, the hatchets, the knives, all of it is in it" she admitted. There was nothing left for her to hide. She had already lost what she treasured most Luci. As the tears slow they were replaced by pure rage. She shakily got to her feet "For you Jenson, I didn't forget I was Magical. I simply find knives more efficient, its harder to block a thrown knife than a spell. It was clearly proven by Bellatrix Lestrange" She smirked. "And for you Ava, I gave you a condition you wer not supposed to use against my friends. Or the knife would be the last thing you see. Unfortunately my knives are confiscated. There are many other way I could punish you" She manically laughed as she made her way to Ava. Her head was throbbing, what was happening to her. She hadn't even made halfway to Ava she collapsed to the floor and was out like a light. The adrenaline had finally caught up to her

My tears were long dried up and my shoulders shook with unsaid apologies. I listened to all the conversations deftly, finding that most had decided she was a hag. I hands were still extended, waiting to be handcuffed or whatever they decided to do. When no one cuffed me, I lowered her hands, slowly, so to make sure no one would find it a move against them. I didn’t know what I had been thinking to come here. Well, I did, kind of. Yesterday I had walked into the room and had been met with a face full of insults and then blood, as Guinevere had put it. Then after Lucian had threatened to turn me I had stayed up all night, afraid to fall asleep. The entire day I had been feeling sleep deprived and frustrated, so when the idea came to me, it seemed good enough to follow through with. Clearly it wasn’t, and only the rush of adrenaline had made her realize that. When I realized that some eyes were on me, I realized I had said all that aloud, not thought it. I blushed profusely. It was very embarrassing to already be in this situation, but also being here red eyed red cheeked and saying things that barely made sense? Even worse.

Finally, someone decided that I was worth addressing. Of course it was Thorn, whom was NOT happy with me. I clenched my fists at my side and tried to bite back a remark, but couldn’t help but saying it. I knew it would make her angry.
“Hate to point this out Thorn, but I don’t think he’s your friend. I’m still waiting for him to break up with you.” I again, slowly, raised my hand to my ear to signal I was listening. I was probably getting on Lucian’s nerves too, so double points. I still felt horrible, but with those two finding something snarky to say wasn’t hard, and the only thing that was hard was biting it back.

The thing that seemed the worst to me was that I was probably going to get expelled and I would be proving to my step-mum that I wasn’t good at anything, and certainly not controlling my temper.

Ava, the almost murderess was supposed to be the venter of attention. The focus of concern and that was the way that it should have been as he asked @Opeila Winters to get Professor Horne. She left immediately (link supplied in Opeila's post [Link]). @Farron Horne was likely still awake, he needed someone that was not being pulled from a fitful slumber to help the staff assess with and deal with this situation. His fatigue was masked with adrenaline as he voiced his concern that black magic was involved. It was the only thing that made sense, that would drive someone to such a despicable act. What possible motive could an 11 year have to murder another child, yes child. Children given perhaps too much freedom and autonomy for their own good, but children none-the-less.

Monica would be sent off to find Professor @Orion Lécuyer, while it was likely the poor girl would be forever traumatized by whatever it was that she saw when she got there, it was a sacrifice he was willing to make. Not that Orion was nearly the ladies man that Solomon had presumed, that would be a relief for both the Headmaster, the Prefect and their future therapist. (Link to Monica's Thread with Orion). Orion was needed because he had a very specific set of skills, skills he had honed over the lifetime of his career. Skills that made him a nightmare for... well, whatever is happening here as the headmaster was at a loss after Thorn started to vigorously dig her own grave.

A plan was starting to formulate. Separate the girl in obvious crisis from he boy she nearly killed in a homicidal rage or some dark magic-induced psychosis. The girl would go with @Cassandra Ironwoods and @Hjørdis Jensen to the Hospital Wing where Nurse @Polonius Frogge could complete an assessment of the girl and collectively -they- (Miss Jensen, Monica, and Mr. Frogge) would be able to keep an eye on her until the authorities were called and they determined what they would do with her. Break a curse, capture a hag, or deal with a rather sick individual. (Thread with Polonius Frogge [Link]) It was a rather linear plan, or so he initially thought as he corrected the minor miscommunication between himself and Monica. "No, just take her," he was referring to @Ava Winchet. "I need someone to look her over, make sure she is not cursed, otherwise compelled or afflicted with the Hag's change," the process that involved the insertion of a slug that festers and grows within the host, changing them physically and mentally until they finally complete the 'change' and shed their former self forever at the age of sixteen. "They are full of tricks, but most are rather crude by wizarding standards, so if not slugs then centipedes... dark creeping curses, living darkness," there were a number of terrible options and he needed Polonius' trained and familiar eye to look the girl over.

"And for whatever reason, she was after this boy," @Lucian Morningstern. "We need to keep them apart," there was no promises that she would not try again and there were also no promises that the boy was not infected or afflicted with something. "After Orion gets here, I am going to need him to help me expel the hag slugs they might be infected with," boys could never be hags, they were a single gendered species. Humans were their means of reproduction as they used human children as hosts for their dark children who would grow inside them, feeding a terrible darkness into their minds and hearts. The curse and the 'change', a less than unique term to describe their dark metamorphosis into a creature that there was no turning away from. Their natures foul and cruel, their magic dark and 'wrong' this was one of the few instances where their ire towards a species was truly warranted. "In fact, can someone get us some towels and a buckets?" (to any user in the thread besides those being sent out).

And that should have done it, Ava escorted out. The boys left to retch their lunches and then some out. The dorms to be searched and contraband confiscated, he hoped the worst he would find was nudie magazines and some hard booze under a few mattresses but if what the ladies said was true then it was foolish to expect something so simple.

Yet, that was not all. Thorn Cullen was truly dumber than a bag of hair.

"Go ahead they are all in the locked trunk, the hatchets, the knives, all of it is in it" she admitted and his eyes bore into her. Wasn't she just dramatically sobbing and asking the boy to not leave her, that she had unknowingly given the girl what she thought was a sewing knife. Sewing knives were not actually a thing, a knife was a knife and a seam ripper was a centimeter long somewhat sharp hook. There were crafting knives but they were more like ling-handled razors of often poor quality. What Ava had was a knife and a girl with a trunk full of weapons (why?) from her supplier. A girl that was simply thought to be dumb, was actually still dumb but also a liar.

"Sewing knives are not actually a thing," he announced gravely while the girl prattled on digging her own grave deeper with each word she said. She lied, so he quickly went from not saying anything to not further shame a dumb child to revealing a liar that nearly got her friend killed. "But I suppose if you have such a collection of knives and weapons, you already knew that. You threw your friend," Ava "...under the bus and nearly got someone killed. Why?"

She might have thought she has nothing left to hide, but she was stull a student. Although, that might not be for much longer. She had friends, people that trusted that she would not supply someone with a weapon to attack them or one of their peers while they slept. That she would tell the truth. But she was not strong enough for any of that, she was just a pathetic poser. Someone who saw the emerald banner of Slytherin and read about the dark history and decided to embrace it. She might have thought she valued Luci but she let someone enter their room in the middle of the night with a knife. She did not care about them, not really.

"For you Jenson, I didn't forget I was Magical. I simply find knives more efficient, its harder to block a thrown knife than a spell. It was clearly proven by Bellatrix Lestrange." Did she just compare herself to an infamous dark wizard when they were threatening to expel someone (seriously I do not know how to come back from this sort of thing Thorn). She even smirked. "And for you Ava, I gave you a condition you were not supposed to use against my friends. Or the knife would be the last thing you see. Unfortunately my knives are confiscated. There are many other way I could punish you."

"The hell is wrong with you?" Solomon was flabbergasted. "First, you're leaving also. Nora, take her [Thorn] to Polonius as well... I hope she has some reason. She will not be returning to Slytherin." She just threatened a student, gave a student a weapon knowing that they were going to use it on someone. They were not going to be able to return. How could they even consider it? Solomon felt a bit numb as he added, really not entirely sure where to go from here. "Get her out of my sight. if she does anything, and I do mean anything. use force. We are wizards, there does not need to be much left to her to bring her back to life." It was a dire statement said in a grim tone, he was not even looking at her but rather through her when he said that. Solomon was a nice man by choice, not by nature. Her life was not even relevant to him, not when it was placed against an innocent.

Solomon seemed to be waking up and taking charge, sending prefects this way and that. I watched quietly, waiting for him to address me or what I should do. My eyes were wide, looking back and forth between The Headmaster and whomever he was talking to. He finally told Professor Jensen and another girl to take me to the infirmary to check if I was a hag. I had zero idea what a hag was, but it didn’t sound good. Before he left, he commented on needing to expel the slugs, what?, from Lucian, which seemed to relate to his last comment. I stopped moving along with the Professor and Prefect and faced him.
“What’s a hag?” And why are you so obsessed with them? I added silently. He seemed so fixed on me being a hag and, well putting slugs in Lucian, that it couldn’t be something that had just come to him. He would have to have been thinking of it recently for it to be so important to him. Why would he be so fixed on it if it weren’t important? I didn’t know. But maybe his answer would solve my puzzle. I waited to be answered before moving to leave.

"Second. Consecutively." Hjørdis repeated to Solomon, confirming her former choice of words. Two knives, two days - both belongingly to Thorn, who was now apparently arming other students.

Her gaze flickered from the girls in the room to the Headmaster for one brief moment as she heard the word 'hags' before returning back to the girls. "Right," She confirmed. They were both first years. They had successfully eliminated all of the hags before they arrived... right? The worry in his voice hit her heart. She was doubting it herself for a moment. It should not be possible but their actions were too irrational to explain as anything else. It made sense... Was there another coven? Was it missed? No. The covens were eradicated, and the threat had ended. They had two covens on these very grounds not too many years ago. They had multiple students infected in this very house, in these very dorms too. But they had all been eradicated... right?

She did not say what she was thinking. The room was swarmed with prefects before long. There was likely a crowd of students gathering, waking up or overhearing the 'conversation' around too.

Hjørdis wanted to facepalm at the stupidity and ridiculousness of people at times. Threatening someone who just tried to murder another child in front of the professors. Smart. Real smart. She watched as Thorn contradicted her own explanation - going from it being a sewing knife for crafting to warning the attempted murderer not to use it against her friends. The girl claimed to have hatchets and knives at the very least. Multiple of each, it sounded like. There had to be something wrong with her.

But that was the least of her worries. There were absolutely no words that Hjørdis could say to justify what came next out of the Slytherin's mouth. The young girl compared herself to someone known to the world as a death eater who loyally followed Voldemort. She justified her actions by comparing it to someone who was literally evil. Before going ahead and threatening the attempted murderer. Thorn had smirked at the words. Laughed like she was enjoying the idea of 'punishing' someone after saying the knife would be the last thing they saw. These were signs that could not be justified.

There was nothing she could say but be horrified by the words. There was something seriously wrong with her. With them both. Both of the girls were acting in ways that could not be logically rationed or even remotely called 'acceptable'. They were dangers not only to themselves but to other students around.

She did not bother to tell a child that she clearly had something to learn about magic if she thought it was harder to block a thrown knife than the killing curse. These children were in desperate need of a magical education and yet their actions were making it harder to justify why they should still be here. There was no justification, in fact. Her mind was already formulating expulsion letters with their names on them.

Thorn passed out, Ava seemed ready to leave. Cassandra seemed unsure. The Head of Slytherin simply nodded, resisting the urge to press her fingers to the bridge of her nose or sigh.

"Miss Ironwoods, will you bring that kid body to the wing? You may drag her if you need to. If you see a single sign of her waking up, feel free to body bind her, knock her out again or ask me to," She instructed the prefect, making it clear enough for Ava to understand too. The Head of House had absolutely zero issue using force if there was even a flicker of Thorn waking up and causing more trouble - or against Ava, if she so much as chose to look wrongly.

"Winchect, walk." Her words were simple. She did not yell, she did not force her. But there was a demand in her tone of voice. If Ava strayed from the path, tried to run, touched her wand or even looked at it or simply tried to do any single thing that was not 'walking directly to the wing', Hjørdis would immobilise her and just carry her there. There were no 'ifs' or 'buts' or anything anymore. The girl was on trial for attempting a murder here. The only hope that any of the professors could have now was that something was forcing this behaviour, that they were infected by dark magic that compelled them to behave in this way and once cured, they would be fine.

If not... looks like Slytherin will simply have two empty beds.

Nora clarified. Merlin, he was not even able to blame video games. He would see them off, @Thorn Cullen, @Ava Winchect, @Hjørdis Jensen and @Cassandra Ironwoods that is. The boys were staying, a geographic temporary cure for a cancerous element. He was still awaiting the return of the two prefects that departed and the Professors that he hoped each would retrieve. He was capable, but he was also outnumbered. They needed to know how much danger they were still in before he let anyone get back to sleep he reasoned. "Let me know what nurse Frogge has to say, I will be calling Thaddeus after we finish here."

What they did not know, some of those gathered here at the very least was the silent war they had against hags. Foul, loathsome creatures who seemed to take pleasure in suffering and had an appetite for innocence and children. As a former magizoologist and a rumored 'expert' in these creatures, much of what the world thought they knew had been debunked as either hearsay, rumor, myth or complete fabrication. His former assistant Bucky was always the real expert on such things, he was just the face and the name for his late friend's brilliance. Looking back, perhaps Bucky was not the beautiful mind he thought he was as well.

He had learned several things over the years and had kept several other bits of knowledge close to his chest. Of the thing he had learned hags are not born, they are made. That was not something that they had known before, it was always presumed that hags were either born as human children were and they were reared in the coven that they would one day become a member in, or they were raised by proxy parents, swapped at birth. This third option changed the landscape of wizarding dramatically for him and it meant that everyone was a risk.

There were symptoms of course. Madness, paranoia, pain, lability. A biological imperative to spread when carried by a man, to survive when carried by a young woman. He would not find hags on this day but he would find evidence that they were here. @Flash Holmwood's room in particular, even if @Jack Burnett had cleaned up the vile ritual he had performed over several weeks, something was left behind.

Some Slytherin students were infected with something, it just was not a head full of centipedes (@Jack Warren) nor was it a hag slug (@Santaro Martin/@Percival Gray). As none of the other students retrieved him a bucket, Solomon would be forced to take matters in his own hands. A beside table, potentially inadequate. A trunk, likely filled. "Ok guys," guys being @Lucian Morningstern and @Colin McCoire. "Let's get this over with," his hand would reach for his holster. A length of aspen wood with a phoenix feather core, a testament to rebirth through fire and immortality. "You're going to want something to contain the puke," he warned. He failed to add the part that if they were filled with hag slugs, the ones that they evacuated would come out fighting.

It took a while for Colin to process what had just happened. Ava confessed --- well, obviously, even Colin knew she had the knife. She had that in her hand when he flipendoed her! But why would she do something like this? And then Thorn made it all worse by confessing that she gave Ava the knife! What the heck!? And she had more weapons? Colin knew that he had a penknife in his satchel. That he used in potions and to scrape a fine point onto his pencils and nibs! It never even crossed his mind that someone would use a knife to --- kill another person! Headmaster Lear had said it, and Colin was thinking it: what kind of muggle thing is that?

As Luci gave his statement, Colin instantly felt his heart sink. His friend, for all his faults, had been targeted. He knew the feeling. He'd been attacked. Colin knew that feeling as well. He went over and sat next to Lucian on his bed. He put his arm around his friend: "You okay lad?" he whispered. "I got your back, alright? For now everything's going to be okay."

For a while the Headmaster and Professor Jensen spoke, giving orders to Prefects, asking questions. Colin got the idea --- a vague idea --- that all was not well on a deeper level. He kept hearing about hags. He'd heard about them, but hadn't studied them yet. He'd heard whispered stories about hags infesting Hagwarts a number of years ago, but whoa. Could they still be around? He wondered: were Ava and Thorn hags too? But didn't they eat kids? Why attack with a muggle weapon?

What really got Colin's attention, though was Thorn's prideful boast: "I didn't forget I was Magical. I simply find knives more efficient, its harder to block a thrown knife than a spell. It was clearly proven by Bellatrix Lestrange." Colin straightened up as she spoke that name. His body tensed. Colin growled, softly, but with menace. Surely Lucian heard it, and possibly the Headmaster. How could she compare herself with a slimeball death eater like BELLATRIX LESTRANGE!?

Colin knew his family history well enough to know that all unrepentant death eaters are vile and evil and also that his Da and his Uncle Colin and their friends had fought valiantly against the likes of Lestrange and Riddle and their ilk. No one should compare themselves favourably with Lestrange. We don't have any Lestrange or Riddle dorms here! We have Regulus Black and Severus Snape and Narcissa Malfoy!

Colin slipped his left arm off of Lucian's shoulder, his hand instinctively reaching for his wand. If Cullen --- he couldn't even bring himself to say her name --- made one wrong move, he'd hex her right out the hole the Headmaster had come through! And then she collapsed! Colin stood up from the bed, looking on the scene in wonder. What just happened? Was she dead? Had she become a hag?

But in short order, Headmaster Lear and Miss Jensen had worked out which Prefects were going to do what. And just like that, he was addressing Colin and Lucian. ""Ok guys, let's get this over with. You're going to want something to contain the puke."

Colin looked up at his Headmaster. "Wait. Wh---Puke!? What? Bucket?" Colin didn't have a bucket and he was only wearing his boxers! Thank goodness they were proper Slytherin boxers and not gaudy Gryffindor ones! Oof. That's when Colin realised that everyone could see his scars. Some, of course, knew already. He reckoned that a couple might put two and two together. But everyone else must be wondering what tried to eat Colin! Well, there really was nothing for it now! They'd just make up stories about him.

Oh well nothing for it! Thankfully a cheerful sound came to Colin's ears from beyond the blasted wall, out in the corridor. Wait. Was that ---? "Shia?" Colin said. His friend was accompanied by the cheerful clinking sounds of tea kettle, cups & saucers and what looked like a couple of buckets. "Buckets!? Shia you're brilliant!"

"I'm going to make some peppermint tea for those two boys . . . would anyone like to join me? I figure it would be better than watching them vomit, and that way, we're still right here if we're needed."

Colin looked from Shia back to Headmaster Lear. "Um. I---I'm not exactly sure this is the right time for a tea party, Shia, but those buckets will come in real handy!" He grabbed them quickly and shoved one into Lucian's hands. He hoped the lad would be smart enough to puke into the bucket and not all over Colin's bed! Colin held his bucket somewhat haphazardly. He'd never puked into a bucket before. In fact, he had never considered puking into a bucket to be a thing! "Er. Headmaster, sir? Um. H---How exactly do we, er, puke?"

It was really late already when Rina went finally to her bed. She had passed hours making some random draws in her sketchbook, reading through some pages of her school books, in hope that something will help her calm down her thoughts and she could finally fell asleep. She was in school for three days after winter break and so many things had already happened. The first Malfoy’s meeting hadn’t really been what she was expecting. She thought they would have a good time together, maybe meeting knew people, get closer to her friends and probably she had hoped that some relationship could had been healed after what happened at the common room before Christmas. But everything went down the hill…and Ree had learned a valuable lesson, she would never hold a meeting in her room again and next time, no Ava, Guin or Thorn!

She had been turning in her bed, trying to find a comfortable position. She glanced at Beatrice, the girl’s soft breathing made her realise her friend was sleeping, or at least it looked like she was. Irina sighed feeling impatient why couldn’t she just close her eyes and sleep? If not asking to much, without nightmares? They had been less frequent lately, since the full moons were passed with her pack, but the night’s before incident had gave her to much to think about and her anxiety had been a little out of control since then.

And like all of that hadn’t been enough a scream echoed through the walls…no, it was more then one person screaming! Rina felt her heart skip a beat and begin to race wildly as she jumped in her bed and came to a seated position. She tried to understand what was happening, tried to concentrate in her hearing to figure out some clue for the screams. But they stopped, the next loud sound was an open door and something like an explosion and heavy objects falling. What the hell was that? She thought while quickly and making what she could to be as silent as possible, she got out of her bed and grabbed her wand that was resting at her nightstand. First thing she thought was about all the spells she had learned so far, searching for something that could be the smartest move in case she had to defend herself from the intruder. Step by step and slowly, she walked until she reached her room’s door, always trying to listen if something came through their dorm corridors or common room. She could now hear a sound of muffled voices…someone was talking outside but they were far enough that she couldn’t understand. What should I do? She thought. Was she safe in her room, or was it just a matter of time before whoever was attacking them got to their room? If so, there was no way to run out of there once trapped inside. That’s when she made the decision. First she went to Beatrice, the girl needed to wake up and prepare herself for whatever was coming there, “Bea?” Irina called her friend in a whisper and touching softly in her arm, “Bea, you need to wake up!” Her voice was low but wrapped in urgency, “I’ll go first, but please bring your wand, something is happening at the common room I believe.” Irina turned then and with more determination she slowly opened their room’s door. Her wand always in front of her, ready to protect her.

The corridor to the common room was dark. The doors to the other rooms were closed, nothing was happening there, she thought it was a good sign, that perhaps they could escape the intruder, or intruders…now that she thought about it, sure it was more then one to perform an attack against so many people, she thought about the professors…someone should call them, haven’t they heard anything? Obviously Miss Jensen would have! She felt a little relief in thinking about her Head of House, she surely would protect them no matter what!

As she got closer to the common room entrance she leaned against the wall of her dorms corridor. Her heart was pounding so hard with the adrenaline and her breathing was heavy with all the anxiety of the moment. She hold her wand tightly in her grip before slowly lurking to the other room. What she saw made her mouth open in disbelief, Colin, Luci? What the hell! What was Thorn doing hugging him in Colin’s bed? And why was he crying? And there was Ava…

"Wait, It's true i'm the one yesterday but just a few moments ago it was Ava who tried to kill Luci" Thorn was saying and Rina felt her heart drop to the floor. Ava did what?! She felt a sudden rage take over her, her hands started to shake and she closed them into fists to try to control herself. If there was not so many people in that room she would be the one now punching Ava! How dared she?! In what was she thinking?! Tears started to form in Ree’s hazel eyes, she was angry. And Thorn had gave her the knife? Why wasn’t she surprised with that? She never liked the girl, since first day she knew she couldn’t be trusted! Hopefully now Luci and Colin would see that too. Even if apparently they don’t mind sharing their room with her…what is she doing in there with Luci? She thought, feeling a twinge in her heart. "I would never hurt Luci he means too much to me and I wouldn't hurt Colin either." Thorn was pleading. Ree was not believing a single word the girl was saying. She haven’t done anything less then hurt them since first day! Her tear meant nothing, headmaster and miss Jensen would have to be fools to fall for it.

And obviously they wouldn't, neither would they, nor would Cash. The prefect’s words came to her hears like a blessing, thanks Merlin she wasn’t the only one seeing the real Thorn behind those fake tears. What kind of person brings an entire arsenal of weapons to a school?

The Headmaster now looked at Luci asking him if he was okay while he seemed to be assessing if the boy was not injured. Ree noticed that since she got there there hadn't been a second her eyes left Luci. She already knew the boy wasn’t bleeding at least, but the whole situation was bad…really, really bad. She suddenly felt a sting of guilt, if it wasn't for her stupid idea for that stupid game none of this would have happened…I should had bitten that girl and scratched that hag first time she threatened us! Irina thought looking at Ava. Was when she heard footsteps coming to her direction from behind. Turning around she pointed her wand at the approaching silhouette, just putting it down when she realised it was another slytherin coming to see what was happening. She was feeling on edge and she needed to calm down. But it was Luci! Her Luci! And Colin, he was like a brother to her and her Alpha. No one could blame her if she was a little skittish and jumpy with every sound or movement around her. The only thing she really hoped for was that Ava and Thorn would finally get what they deserved. And Merlin hope, they never cross her path again as she won't be able to speak for her actions.

Larino couldn't sleep, not really. He had gotten a few of his rocks out and was fiddling with them, before putting them down at what must be the early hours of the morning. He struggled to get any sleep, being unable to stop thinking about everything that had happened recently. Only a week before, he was at home with his family, and everything seemed normal. They had had a calm Christmas, and a lot had happened since he returned to school. He had joined a gang of some sort who had met by accident in Astronomy one afternoon, and something had happened in the girls' dorm the previous evening, which he hadn't gotten involved with. And he was glad, because, from what he had heard, it was absolute carnage.

He didn't know what time it was, but he heard a girlish scream. He quickly put on a hoodie over his Slytherin pajamas, slipped his rock inside the pocket, grabbed his wand and rushed down. Little did he know that in his haste in the darkness, he had grabbed the wrong rock: this one was far sharper than his usual smooth one, making it a rather efficient weapon if needed. He had no idea if his dormmates were awake, but didn't care if he woke them by rushing to the noise. "What the heck... at this hour..? He muttered, needing to know who made that noise, and why.

He raced to the common room, to find a silhouette standing there, with a wand pointed at him, barely inches from him. It was only at that point he realized that it was Irina, one of the girls from the Astromony Tower earlier. "What's going on?" He asked, wide awake now. He wanted to know what was going on. This time, he would know first-hand what was going on in Slytherin.

He only got a glance to see Thorn, Lucian, and another Slytherin all huddled in a bed, with the headmaster and their head of house stood inside the dorm room. Lucian! In the tower, he had promised Larino he would make anyone who would ever hurt him regret their actions, and he could be hurt... or worse... Whatever was going on, it wasn't good. He looked back at Irina, not knowing whether she could properly see his expression of disbelief. Someone was going to be in huge trouble.

Jannette Applebottom

With Jannette sleeping comfortably in her slumber, the girl has been in the fantastic dreamworld of Appleland for a few hours. The place was beautiful, like something out of Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. The trees were made of sugar canes, candy apples, and a magical creature with the head of an apple and an outfit of robes handed the girl, a beautiful apple. Taking the apple, the Niffler was about to take the apple and – nothing, except for a loud scream… then a high pitch meow!

Jannette would wake up from her dream and let out an obnoxious groan. Taking off her apple eye mask, she’d look around at her surroundings. Unfortunately, she wasn’t in the wonderful world of Appleland, but instead in her dorm, sleeping in her bed, and her kitty, Melrose shaking in her paws. “Melrose, wha’ ‘appen?!” She coos, wiping the drool from her mouth as she slowly picks up her cat -

*CRASH*

Melrose would yelp loudly and jump from Jannettes’ hand feeling startled. “OIiiii, Melrose – wha’ in Merlin is goin’ on ou’ dere…” She murmurs. While loud noises were pretty common in the Slytherin Dorms, this was different, usually, there would be laughs and arguing. But instead, it was just continued muffled screams. Something is going on. Grabbing her wand, Jannette would open the door and in no time, was following a crowd of girls through the corridor. As whispers turned to chatter. It didn't take long for the Niffler to be outside the common room, as heads tried to peak to see what was going on.

“Heeeeyy oi wanna see!” She whines before getting on her tippy-toes as she tries to get a look at what is going on inside the dorm. Then gossip began to spread around the Slytherin Dorm like wildfire, her eyes widening. Colin, Luci, Thorn, Ava. Jannette couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Ava Winchect attempted to murder Lucian Monstern! This was serious! It couldn’t be true… Prefects were everywhere inside Colin and Luci’s dorm even the Head of House, Hjørdis Jensen, and most shocking of all the wise Headmaster (AKA the Iron Giant), Solomon Lear! She didn’t want it to be true, but it was. While Jannette wished this was all a dream and that she was back in Appleland the only thing the brunette could process from this was… shock. With her magnified eyes growing like a deer in headlights from outside the dorm, her mouth forms an ‘O’ shape, the only thing the girl mouths is, “Oh Merlin wha’ dah foik…”1

She finally recognized who was coming her way through the dark corridor. She had already met the dark-haired boy at the Astronomy Tower on first day after winter break. Just to think about what they had been planning and with who made her shudder. After this last events she was seriously pondering to stay out of trouble for a while. This was definitely not the best time to call teachers' attention again. It's not like her to abandon a plan, more so if it's a prank, but this were getting out of hand there, Slytherins had crossed the line, for certain they would have eagle eyes on them for a while.

"I'm sorry for the wand." Irina told Larino once the dim green light in the Common Room let her see his features. He went there in a hurry and she got a little startled at hearing and feeling his movements coming from behind her. She had acted by instinct, she really didn't intended to cast a spell on a friend or fellow housemate. So she lowered her wand, letting her arms fall to her sides, but she kept holding it tightly. Her chest was feeling heavy with her heart getting sore with regret and guilt. She couldn't stop thinking that she started all of that. In her mind, it had been just a small infraction, to call her friends to her dorm, even if both...- well technically Loops was there too, but no one needed to know that - were boys. It was a small drop in the entire universe of rules in Hogwarts, she would never imagine that that small drop would become an ocean where she almost lost her closest friends.

"What's going on?" Larino asked her as he glanced at the scene played out in the boys' dorm and then looked back at her with what she thought was an incredulous expression. It wasn't for less to be honest. Who would ever think that something like that would ever happen at school. Some Opeila's words, from her time in detention, came to her mind then:
"You have luckily not seen the things I and many other of the older students have seen at this school and it is in our and your interest to keep it that way, believe me. Illowy followed you outside for a reason and it was damn good of her to do so."
She heard Headmaster Lear talk about hags...were Opeila referring to them back then? Is something actually normal to happen at Hogwarts? This thoughts were making her feel cold and uncomfortable. She crossed her arms on her chest, like she was embarrassing herself. She started to feel something like shame washing over her, but she abandoned that line of thoughts. The present moment was far more important, she would have time to consider her own actions.

"Thorn gave a knife to Ava," Rina started in a low voice and looking at Larino, "and Ava tried to kill Lucian with it." Saying it out loud sounded even crazier, "I...I think Headmaster is calling other professors to help in this..." She heavily breathed out, her anxiety was taking over her, "I don't know what to call it..." She finished looking back at Luci. He had shoved Thorn off after she confessed what she had done. Headmaster seemed to be losing his controlled temper too after hearing the girl's words, he said that she would never comeback to Slytherin again and if needed force could be used against her. Ree covered her mouth in shock at hearing that. She publicly isn't a fan of Thorn, but still, hearing that made her look at all of that with wide eyes.

The corridor and the Common Room was starting to get crowded with students. Obviously all that noise had waked up most of them and called their attention. Across the many heads now poking out with curiosity and concern, Irina could make out one that was unmistakable. Jannette Applebottom was now looking at all of that with shock and surprise,“Oh Merlin wha’ dah foik…” Rina heard her friend exclaim. Irina held up her hand and waved at her brunette friend, hoping that she would be able to see her and join her.

Beatrice Dupont
Reducio
Beatrice snored softly as Irina tossed herself around in the other bed. The Dupont girl had fallen asleep hours ago. The last night's had been hectic and Beatrice had dreamed of what happened in their dorm not so long ago. The marks on her hand were still visible, gladly not to anyone that didn't look on her inner hand. Today was different tho, today she was sleeping in peace and quiet. In her dreams, Beatrice was wandering through a peaceful forest, her hands brushing bushes she walked by. Everything was okay. Everything was good. A warm feeling surrounded Beatrice's whole body and her peaceful sleep couldn't have been disturbed by anything or anyone in that moment. At least that's what she thought. Beatrice heard a faint voice calling her name. She looked around in the woods, the sun shining through the trees but no one was there. “Bea, you need to wake up!” That was definitely Irina's voice, but where was she? Beatrice wanted to enjoy this forest with her. Someone was holding her arm and she felt a shaking motion. What was happening? Beatrice tried to ignore this disturbance but Irina's voice got louder and more urgent. “I’ll go first, but please bring your wand, something is happening at the common room I believe.” What? Where was Irina going? The warm and peaceful feeling started to leave Beatrice and she felt herself waking up, had she been dreaming?

The door to their dorm opened and Beatrice still laid in her bed, not fully awake and understanding what was happening. Suddenly more footsteps appeared outside but they were gone as fast as they came. It took Beatrice a little to understand what Irina had said. „please bring your wand, something is happening at the common room.“ A cold shudder went all over her body and Beatrice jumped up in her bed, almost falling out. Her heart started beating extremely fast. Something was happening in the common room and Irina went to go see what it is. Alone.Alone?!!! Beatrice was out of her bed in no time, pulling a jumper over her head and slipping into the slippers that Henry had gifted her for Christmas. She grabbed her wand, moving fast and running to the door. When Beatrice was in the hall, she ran for a few steps, but stopped herself. What if there was really someone down there? She wouldn't want them to know that she was up here. Her breathing was going rapid, same as her heart as she creeped through the shadows into the direction of the Common Room. When she got down, no one was there, only a crowd of people at the entrance to the boys dorms.

Before she knew it, she was at the entrance for the boys dorms. She knew she wasn't allowed to go in here but she couldn't see Irina anywhere and she could hear talking from the halls in there. With shaky hands, Beatrice felt her way into the hall, one hand one the wall, the other on her wand. »Mey?« a shaky attampt of a whisper left her lips. Beatrice etched around a Corner and finally, she saw Irina. There were many people already up in the common room and possibly even more in this corridor. A boy stood with her dorm mate and Beatrice pushed through the people until she stood behind Irina.

"Thorn gave a knife to Ava," Irina said to him, "and Ava tried to kill Lucian with it." Beatrice's face went pale. Paler than it was and paler than it ever will be. She started feeling sick and tears burned in her eyes, "I...I think Headmaster is calling other professors to help in this..." Irina was breathing heavily, "I don't know what to call it..." Beatrice was shaking now. Not only her hands, but her whole body. She stared at the back of Irina's head. She was breathing fast and panic had set in. Before that she was only scared, now there was a crippling panic that made the air get stuck in her throat. She stepped right behind Irina and the boy.

»Ava attampted to murder Lucian?« her voice was weak and the shock sat in her bones, deep deep fear glooming over the corridor. At least that what Beatrice felt like. »She actually tried to kill him?« Beatrice couldn't take this lightly and she wasn't about to hide her emotions of someone almost getting killed. By a person in this school. In her house. In her dorm. How could someone do this? Why would Ava attempt to kill someone? To kill Lucian? This could happen to all of them. Someone could come into their dorm in the middle of the night and try to kill them. Beatrice felt awfully unsafe.

Irina told Larino that Thorn had given Ava a knife. WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?! his brain internally screamed, worsened by the fact that this Ava, whom he had not met before, then tried to kill Lucian. Lucian had actually told Larino that if anyone tried to do him harm, he would sort things out, and Lucian actually almost died only minutes before. The two of them may have gotten onto the wrong foot, but he did care about his friends, or at least the people who had been nice to him since September. And... there were more professors getting involved. Great. They'll probably find something of mine to confiscate. He slowly pulled what he thought was his pebble out of his pocket, but felt a sharp pain, not unlike that of a papercut. When his hand was visible again, he saw that he'd picked up the wrong rock, and his finger was bleeding. "Perfect timing." He whispered sarcastically under his breath, because of course, on the night of his friend's attempted murder, he had brought a rather efficient weapon along.

While he was thinking, two more girls had arrived among the crowd. He assumed they knew Irina, but he had never talked to them. He could only focus on the fact that his friends were safe, and hoping nothing was going to happen to him. He had good intentions with the rocks, but someone could see it otherwise, since they were rather efficient weapons. Especially the obsidian in his hand, which had caused his hand to bleed a little.

Violet Grace
Reducio
Violet had trouble falling asleep tonight. The whole time she was trying to sleep she just had a bad feeling inside. She was trying to rationalise and say to herself that nothing strange and dangerous was happening right now but she couldn’t shake the feeling off. So she was just tossing and turning around for hours in bed.
Unfortunately, she heard a scream..no, 2 screams!
She jumped out of bed immediately, grabbing her blanket tightly, thinking and worrying about what happened and what she should do. She didn’t know exactly where the voices were coming from but they sounded close, like they were in the common room..which made Vee scared even more. She thought about which would be a safer option for a while; to stay here or get out. But curiosity got the best of her so she grabbed her wand for protection, if needed..and she got out of her dorm and hesitantly walked towards the common room.

She noticed many slytherin students were awake to the noise too, getting out of their beds and looking at what happened. Irina and Janette were one of them.
She walked towards them and asked what was happening.

Apparently, the screams came from the boys dormitory, the dorm Colin and Lucian was in! She worried if anything bad happened to them (yes, even Lucian, she might hate him but not that much that would make her wish for something so terrible to happen to him).
She saw that inside the boys dormitory there were also prefects, head of slytherin..two girls..and even the Headmaster! Whatever was going on there was serious for sure! Violet tried to take a closer look, feeling at least a bit better to see no one was hurt?

She then heard the Headmaster's voice. "No, just take her," he was referring to Ava Winchet, another first year slytherin girl Vee didn’t know personally but heard the name of.. "I need someone to look her over, make sure she is not cursed, otherwise compelled or afflicted with the Hag's change” "They are full of tricks, but most are rather crude by wizarding standards, so if not slugs then centipedes... dark creeping curses, living darkness,"

“A hag?!” She asked out loud, mainly to Ree or Janett. Seriously, what was happening?! But when the Headmaster talked about things, it began to make a bit more sense. He pointed to Lucian and said something about Ava being after him.

She wasn’t in the Malfoy’s dorm last night but she heard about something chaotic happening there involving fights and..a knife.

She now learned that Ava tried to murder Lucian with a knife she got from another goth looking girl?! It was insane! Violet heard a bit about what happened with Ava and Lucian last night with the gossips but she would have never thought things would get this serious between them!

The goth looking girl…Violet didn’t know her name yet..wasn’t on the innocent side either. She said very disrespectful things to Ava and the head of slytherin, and compared herself with a dark wizard?! The headmaster got very angry at her and talked about her never returning to slytherin. Was she gonna get expelled?

There were simply too much information to handle.

Shiawase Mamori

Shiawase had been sleeping a nice, dreamless sleep, when she heard the screams. Her immediate thought was that someone was injured, and so she sat bolt upright in her bed. First aid kit. She needed her first aid kit. But first she needed to get in her wheelchair. The fact that she had to transfer to her wheelchair caused her to fall behind others who woke up to the scream and immediately ran toward the commotion. And every second was agony as she thought someone might be dying and she was too slow.

So when she finally wheeled over there, she said, breathlessly, "I'm here! How can I help? Who's injured?" Before she looked to see if anyone was hurt, a thought struck her. That thing from the Fall Ball! If it was back, then . . . She looked up at the ceiling but didn't see anything. She breathed a sigh of relief, then looked around, scrutinizing everyone . . . Colin had scars but no fresh injuries, the boy in the Gryffindor pajamas looked traumatized but not injured, Thorn was . . . asleep? And Ava was fine, it seemed. At this point, she didn't realize she was looking at the Headmaster, the Head of House, or Cash, buuuut . . . she blinked. Where had the scream come from then, if everything was fine? Surely it wasn't from the girls sneaking into the Boy's Dorms? No, it was definitely more than that. She rubbed her eyes and looked again. That's when she realized that she was looking at the Headmaster, their Head of House, and she recognized Cash as well. Though she missed the other prefects, who had already left by the time she got there to get help. Ava, she remembered, she gave her a present for her birthday . . . and Thorn, she didn't know really at all, but she did recognize her. It looked like the head of house and Ava were about to walk, so Shiawase moved to clear their path, only then realizing they had another path to take. What . . . happened to the wall?!

The Headmaster told Colin and Lucian that they were going to want something to contain the puke, and finally, something clicked! At last, something she could do to help.

"That gives me an idea. I'll be right back."

She left for her room and rifled around. She knew she brought a kettle, a tea pot, some tea leaves from home, and two teacups, one for herself and one for a friend. She had these things since in her first year, she'd have a couple restless nights, and she hadn't brought these things for herself. She absolutely did not want to disturb the house elves in the middle of the night. So this year, she had made a point to pack them, just in case.

Aha! She found them! She levitated them gently to her lap using Wingardium Leviosa and then another thought struck her. She didn't see any good vessels for puke in the dorm when she scanned it earlier. And so, while she was at it, she found a couple buckets and levitated them to her lap before wheeling back to the Common Room. Outside the Boy's Dorm, she hesitated a moment. She was fine with peering in there to see what was happening, but she shouldn't enter, right? After a brief hesitation, with a swish and flick of her wand, she said, "Wingardium Leviosa."

The buckets would gently levitate into the room, and land right in front of both Colin and Lucian. But though she didn't physically enter the room, it'd be quite clear she was the one who did it, with her holding her wand and with them probably hearing her voice. She nodded with satisfaction, then turned her wheelchair so she could address the small crowd that had gathered.

"I'm going to make some peppermint tea for those two boys . . . would anyone like to join me? I figure it would be better than watching them vomit, and that way, we're still right here if we're needed."

It didn't really matter who might join her. She was intent on this. After all, Colin and Lucian would want something to settle their stomachs after this experience. And it might be the only way they calm down enough to sleep after what they've been through. Whatever that was. Maybe someone would explain it to her while she brewed tea.

Jannette Applebottom

So much was going on for Jannette to comprehend, and to make things worst, basically, the whole Slytherin house was outside the Boy's Dormitory trying to listen to any bits of information. Why was Jannette breathing so hard? Why was her heart pounding a million miles a second? She had these feelings before, especially with her old rival, Faye but this was a different experience. Something beyond fear, made the young brunette frightened about the history of Slytherin. Were the rumors true? Was what everyone said about Slytherin's house being evil just a product of the environment they were in? And if so, what Slytherin is next?

As the emerald hues of her eyes continue to stare out outside the door, her eyes caught the waving hands of Irina Sousa, who was about a few students beside her. “Oii8&ii$# I*6%n@!~”1 She’d holler, her words drowning in the sounds of the other students talking so loudly. waving her hand back, she’d nudge past the students, “Sorreh” she mutters brushing past their shoulders. With how loud the talking is going on, it was like Jannette was in the Great Hall! “Irina, oh t’ank Merlin.”2 She says looking at her curly-haired friend and attempting to give her a big bear hug before joining the small group of first-years comprising of Beatrice Dupont and a first-year boy. “Do any of y'know if t'ere safe in t’ere?! Did any of dem ge' hurt?!”3 She exclaimed, she was pretty limited on the information of what is going on.

With so many questions going on, another familiar blonde-haired first-year Snek Squad member joined the group, Violet Grace! “Hag?!” Jannette blurts out, adding along with Violet's shock. It was a pretty interesting theory, of what possibly the Headmaster was saying, though difficult to hear anything, especially since Jannette has horrible listening ears… Turning her head, Jannette would get on her tippy toes, trying to peek past the other student's shoulders trying to see if she could get more information. “Do yah guys see anythin’?!”4 She said, doing so her friend Shia with tea kettles and a bucket?

"I'm going to make some peppermint tea for those two boys . . . would anyone like to join me? I figure it would be better than watching them vomit, and that way, we're still right here if we're needed."

“Aye oi’ll join yah Shia, oi don’ wannah see dem pukin’ all over dah place… I 'ope t'eyll be okay!~”5 She chirps. In reality, if the situation wasn't so serious and if she knew that they were gonna be a possibility that Colin was gonna throw up a couple of slugs, maybe she would’ve been a little more interested.

Larino Arveli

As a few more arrived in the crowd and conversed, Larino tried his best to listen in on what was happening in the room with Lucian, his dormmate, Thorn, and this Ava girl he didn't know. This was when his autism always seemed to come in handy, but some people just wouldn't shut up. The many noises made things difficult for him, but he did catch a few words from the headmaster here and there: "...make sure she is not cursed..." "...living darkness..." "...expel the hag slugs..." That last part broke his concentration for good. He didn't know what hags were exactly, but he had heard a rumor that the school was infected with them a few years ago. And... expel..? "I know Thorn did something bad, but she doesn't deserve to be expelled. No one does." And, while anyone who could both hear and understand him would certainly call him a hypocrite, he added: "Everyone makes mistakes."

He then noticed a girl in a wheelchair leave the crowd and reappear with... tea things? He did not understand it one bit, even whispering to himself "Why do some people think tea is always the answer!?" Even though, once again he would be called a hypocrite, as he found that his pebble the answer to everything. Speaking of his pebble, he really was hoping that he cut wasn't too bad, or that anyone would find out that he had the obsidian in his pocket. If anyone did find out that, in a way, he was also hiding weapons in his dorm, he would certainly get into trouble too. Even if he did have good intentions.

Realising he hadn't answered the question of whether he wanted some tea or not, he replied with "No." rather bluntly, but would rather be alone with his thoughts than have to actually contribute to a conversation with people he didn't know all that well.

After calling Jannette, Irina noticed that someone else was coming next to her and Larino. It was Beatrice, Irina felt a mix of relief and regret for waking up her friend and dorm mate. She Thought that everyone at Slytherin could be in danger and under some kind of attack, so she decided for the best that Beatrice should be capable of defending herself and not being caught asleep. But now, that she saw what happened maybe she should had let the poor girl keep with her sweet dream an not awake to witness that nightmare.

Finally, after being able to pass through all the other students, Jannette also arrived there, “Irina, oh t’ank Merlin.” the brunette wearing her favorite snake onsie extended her arms towards her and for a moment, Rina felt more surprised with that, then when she got the news about Ava's attempt of committing murder. After a second while her brain processed what just happened, Rina responded to her friend's gesture by also wrapping her arms around her for a tight and very comfortable hug. “Do any of y'know if t'ere safe in t’ere?! Did any of dem ge' hurt?!” Jannette asked after letting go of their embrace. Irina sighed before answering her friend, "No Jannette, no one is really hurt...at least on the exterior I think...Headmaster, although, seems to be concerned with other possibilities." Rina explained to her friend.

A muffled sound and a sudden movement coming from Larino called her attention then a familiar smell of iron...of blood, invaded her sensitive nostrils. Ree immediately looked at the boy next to her, "Are you okay? What is perfect timing? Are you hurt?" She asked with concern and suspicion, taking a slow, small step closer to him, her eyes never leaving his expression and her hand ready to grip her wand. Wherever had hurt him, if it was something exterior she would be ready to protect him, if it was he who accidentally had cut himself, he better be careful with what he was about to say.

"Ava attempted to murder Lucian?" Beatrice asked her in a weak voice, but had been enough for startle Ree. The curly-haired girl had been to focus on Larino trying to understand which kind of help did he needed at that time. " She actually tried to kill him?" Bea looked even more pale then usually and Ree felt concerned with her friend. She recognized that not everyone is familiar in seeing horror and scary scenes. Somehow along the way, that feeling of fear had been smothered in Rina's case. All full moon nights of her life had been filled with stories that could scare many of the children in that Common Room. "Bea, do you feel alright? Do you need some water...with sugar maybe? I can go and bring it to you!" Irina asked gently with a kind half smile in her face, it was not time for a big smile or for many joy and happy feelings, she would take sometime to get rid of the feeling of guilt and anxiety. Rina was now looking at her friend Beatrice but by the corner of her eye she never let completely to stop paying attention too Larino, the boy still needed to explain himself, and she was not having the intention to let him go. Maybe she was overreacting to that little occurrence, but she had learned the worse way that little things can become out of control pretty fast and very easily. She expected to be a little to alert and distrustful until she starts to feel that everything had come to normal again and that the people she most cares about are safe too. Although, she's starting to realize that what she thought it was a "safe normal" had never been the reality inside Hogwarts' doors.

Headmaster was talking about the possibility of Hags being the reason behind all of that. He had sent Opeila and Monica to call other professors that could assist there while miss Jensen and Cash were leaving with Ava and Thorn. Irina felt quite uneasy at seeing Ava starting to move but she was feeling blessed that was Cash and their Head of House who were accompanying them, miss Jensen's presence was enough to understand why and the Iron part in Ironwoods' name was always quite fitting in Ree's opinion.

“A hag?!” Violet asked in astonishment, her friend had come to them too. Ree could swear the entire Slytherin house was now awake and gathered at their Common Room. "I think so..." Irina sadly said before turning again to see what was about to happen next. But another familiar voice called her attention, Shiawase Mamori, the girl she had met at the Snek Fort appeared in a hurry. Rina felt her hurt getting warm with the first thing she heard from the girl, how could she help?...right, maybe that should be their priority now! To know how they could help. "No one is injured...well, no one is bleeding...if they are really okay I think we are about to find out!" Irina told her housemate when Headmaster Lear explained to Lucian and Colin that they soon would be puking...puking? Why? What is he going to do with them? Rina felt a sudden need to go after her friends, to help them pass through that, but if it was a contagious thing...maybe it was wiser to wait...but after it, after it she would be there for them, if this was actually some kind of a different kind of attack, if it was for another reasons then not what had happened at her dorm...that's when some flash of memory came to her mind...Colin once had told her that someone was trying to kill him...that his brother had been murdered not long time ago, but he had been the target...was that the real reason? Someone was trying to kill Colin inside Hogwarts walls and once again got mistaken? Attacking Lucian instead of Colin? She felt once again being embarrassed with a renewed wave of panic. No, that can't be...They wouldn't...she wide eyed at Colin, was the boy thinking the same? Anyway, it was urgent that the pack needed to be closer to each other after that night, they would need to start taking more careful and be prepared for anything.

Rina still felt tired after breakfast, even the coffee she finally decided to drink and the conversation that had happened at the great hall didn’t helped her getting back to her normal energy. She soon would have her first class, but when she noticed that Lucian hadn’t showed up during all morning she felt worried with her friend. After what happened last night she couldn’t blame him, after all he almost got…killed…even only thinking about that word… it made her feel sick. She couldn’t bare the idea of losing her best friend. He must still feel terrified or at least she imagined it wouldn’t be easy to face an entire school of gossip, people talking behind your back or others that would not be ashamed of asking unwanted questions.

She wanted to had stayed with him last night, she had wanted to hug him or stand by him at least…by him and by Colin’s side. But she knew it wouldn’t be wise, to not mention that it was forbidden for a girl to stay at the boy’s dorm. Why in hell she had to be a girl?

Knowing her friend as she already did, she figured if he wasn't hiding in the library, he must have been staying in his dorm. It was risky to go there and she knew it, even more at the shadow of last events, but she had to make sure he was alright, that he didn’t needed help. And if he did needed someone to talk too or to stay with, then she wouldn’t mind to be that person for him, if he wanted her to be of course. Even if what he had said at her dorm’s meeting had hurt to hear he was still being her best friend and her feelings towards him hadn’t change a bit.

When she arrived closer to his room’s door she shyly knocked first time. Her heart was pounding on her chest, she suddenly felt nervous. What if he wanted to be alone? What if he didn’t wanted to see her? After all it had all started with her idea…what if he blames her for everything that had happened? Panic started to swirl all over her and she decided that maybe it was best if she just left. She had just turned on her heels when she heard the door opening so she stopped and biting on her lip she slowly turned to face her friend.

I turned in my sleep and hastily opened my eyes, rubbing the sleep out of them. Was someone here? I looked around the dark room before finally finding my left. A figure stood dimly next to me. “Lumos,” huh? My head shot to where the voice came from. Colin? He was kneeling on his bed with a curled sneer. The room was lit now and I looked at the person standing next to me. My breath caught in my throat. No, no, no. Tears cascaded down my pale cheeks, my chest tightened as it felt like a giant had sat on it.

Why are you doing this?” I begged in a broken voice, already accepting my fate as she stepped close to me. An evil glint in her always beautiful smile.

Because you’re dangerous, Lucian,” she replied sweetly, “You and I may be of the same kind but we don’t share the same beliefs. You’re going to kill someone one day! May that be a muggleborn,” I knew she emphasised on that word, “Or a half blood. And I can’t let your twisted mind do that. You’re too hot headed and irrational!” I could see my reflection in her eyes she was that close. My eyes shut. I tense. She… hugged me? Then I felt—

My body jolted awake, eyes snapping open and a laboured breathe escaping my chapped lips. What the hell was that? I looked around the dorm, I didn’t think anyone was here.

After finding my glasses, I quickly got out of bed and scurried under my bed for the protection of knowing where everyone would be but also not out in the open.

I swallowed and rested a head tilted on my hands. I can’t believe Thorn would help Ava like that. Betrayal. She was meant to be my girlfriend, or at least she was meant to be my closest friend. We haven’t actually spoken about what Grandad said to us yet, and honestly… I don’t think we should.

She almost got me killed. And you love Ree. By Ava of all people! And you love Ree. She is unhinged at times. And you love Ree. Like come on, I was all for attacking them in that moment, that filthy cretin, by why a knife? And you love Ree. It was dangerous for herself. And you love Ree. And I love Ree!

Wait. Where did that come from? I groaned and ripped my glasses off, whats the point? I wouldn’t be going to breakfast or class anyway. Anyone asks, I’m sick. Just as I was getting ready to sleep, I heard someone knock on the door.

My body froze.

Who was it?

I controlled my breathing. Maybe it was Colin? “Lumos,” huh? My head shot to where the voice came from. Colin? He was kneeling on his bed with a curled sneer. I quiet sob left my mouth but I controlled myself. Rolling out from under the bed, my eyes searched for my wand. Shoot. Where was it?

Okay, I didn’t have time to search for it. I dragged myself over to the door then hesitated but a familiar scent wafted through. Irina? Luv? I could see my reflection in her eyes she was that close. My eyes shut. I tense. She… hugged me? Then I felt— no. That’s not my luv. She wouldn’t do that to me!

Reaching out, I grasped the handle of the door and opened it slightly before nearly tipping over myself to my bed, hugging my knees to make me seem smaller. An evil glint in her always beautiful smile. “Because you’re dangerous, Lucian,” she replied sweetly. Maybe then she wouldn’t be scared?

What was she even doing here? I looked at the clock. Nearly time for first period. I think we have Charms. Or maybe Transfiguration. Oh I don’t know.

I stared at the door…

She slowly turned around not feeling sure that what she was doing was the right thing. She was afraid of his reaction, that he would sent her away asking her to leave him alone. But when she finally faced the door, that she had knocked few moments ago, all she saw was it slightly ajar and no one closer or behind it. Not sure what to think about it, Ree took a deep breath to calm her nerves down, before slowly open the wooden door and made small steps to enter the room. "Luci?" She asked in a soft and low voice. The dark haired boy was sitting on his bed hugging his knees tightly, like a little scared child. Ree's heart squeezed in anguish at seeing her friend like that. She wanted to be super powerful so she could send all his pain and fear away. She would do anything to make him smile at her again and not staring at her as he was doing at that moment, with exhausted red eyes, showing how much hurt and scared he was feeling. She wondered if Lucian had been able to sleep and rest after all that had happened the previous night.

Walking slowly towards his bed, almost afraid that she could scare him away, Rina sat in front of him. First she kept her eyes down, looking at her hands and playing nervously with the edge of the skirt. Biting on her lower lip she fought to find the right words to say. It was embarrassing, she wanted so badly to hug him, just hug him and saying how much she cared for him, how much scared she felt when she realized that she could had lost him forever. But how could she say that? After knowing that he doesn't see her like that? Their relationship had been so simple, she always felt so free to be herself around him and now...now she didn't know how to act, what to say. She started to feel tears to form under her eyelids and that's when she decided she must say something, she couldn't let him see that she was feeling hurt or unsure of their friendship. He was her best friend and nothing had happened to change that, was not his fault that she had thought that they could be more then that.

So lifting her head towards him she let her eyes look at his dark brown ones. Slowly she put on of her hands over his and softly started to giving him gentle caresses with her thumb. "Luci..." She started in a quite voice, "Are...are you..." Of course he was not okay, what are you asking? She thought scolding herself, "What can I do?" She opted to say even if unsure she would be able to do anything to make things better, "How can I help you? I want to help you!" She admitted, with a little note of despair in her voice, while holding his hand a little tighter like making him feel that she was there for him and that she would do anything to help him through all of that.

She walked in and her scent just radiated comfort but I didn’t move. Soft trembles throughout my body as she just stood there. I was waiting for a slap. A mean comment. A punch? But all she did was fiddle with her skirt and stand there.

Slowly, Ree put on of her hands over mind and started to caress my hand gently. Initially, I flinched away from her warm touch, the “last time” she touched me playing like a movie in my head, but soon I relaxed a little, brining my broken gaze to look at her uncertain one.

"Luci..." her voice was quiet and I was grateful, "Are...are you..." she was going to ask if I was okay. Do I look okay? “What can I do?" she amended. "How can I help you? I want to help you!" her voice changing at the last second to show her pleading. How can she help me? Turn back time so that I never woke up in fear? Turn back time so that Thorn never blurts out what Colin was in the common room? Turn back time so that I could tell Charlie firmly that we were NOT going to the woods when it was pitch black.

Tears once again swam in my no-longer glistening eyes and poured down my pale cheeks. "I almost died Ree,” I said to her, voice cracking and quiet. I started to breathe quicker a little and pulled my hands away from Ree. “I- I was just sleeping! I was- I was sleeping and while- while I was sleeping THORN is- is giving Ava weapons to KILL me!” I cried, my voice strong yet also breaking. My whole body shaking and eyes red as a tomato as salty tears raced down, dripping off my chin. “She is meant to be my- my friend! Or mor— my best friend? But-” I stopped talking and started to gasp a little for breath. “Just- just give-… just give me a sec,” I wheezed out. This wasn’t knew. Happened a few times after I got bit.

Now I wished Ree was still holding my hand.

She couldn't stop notice the way Lucian had reacted to her touch, he had flinched away from her hand. Why? She wasn't the one trying to harm and to hurt him, she just desperately wanted to make him feel safe to let him know that she, no matter what, was there for him. Perhaps she was just a fool, believing he wanted to see her or talk to her...maybe she had been also wrong about their friendship. For a split second the thought of leaving came to her mind but then she felt him relax under her touch and she finally got courage to meet his eyes.

His stare just broke her heart into more tiny little pieces, it made her wonder if she even would be able to have a heart when all of that nightmare get to an end. It was so visible how much he was hurt, like if she actually could touch the pain in his eyes. She wished she had enough magic inside of her so she could be able to vanish all of it away from him.

She got lost looking at him, not sure what to say...all the words that came to her mind sounded stupid and not helpful at all. She almost asked if he was okay...for Merlin sake it was obvious he was not! She felt so useless, so powerless...so best thing she came up with to break the silence between them was to tell him that she wanted to help, she desperately needed too know how.

His eyes started to fill with tears. Oh Merlin...didn't I make it even worse? She thought feeling her own eyes getting warm and wet. "I almost died Ree,” He said to her in a cracking voice. Rina felt her heart became smaller and heavier. The fear that she felt last night of losing her friend came back to her, her stomach turned with anxiety and she wanted to hug him, to make sure he would never leave, to let him feel that she was there and that she would protect him and care for him. But instead, he pulled himself away from her. Her hand that once was caressing his, felt empty and cold while Rina let it fall on her lap again. “I- I was just sleeping! I was- I was sleeping and while- while I was sleeping THORN is- is giving Ava weapons to KILL me!” He cried in a heartbreaking voice. Rina felt anger starting to rise inside of her. She never liked both girls and she had made it be noticed since first day. When can you start trust someone that just harmed one of your best friends? She felt the bitter taste of betrayal thinking about what he said at the Malfoy's first meeting, the darkest part of her whispering to her ear that he got what he deserved. She immediately cleared her head from this last thought embracing herself crossing her arms over her chest and feeling a tendril of shame.

He was shaking and his eyes were red from the tears and all the pain. He was still scared, it was clear that fear was still clinging onto him. Rina imagined it would take awhile before he would be able to release himself from it...from that terrifying memories. She knew too well that he would never forget it tho, she just hoped this had made him become stronger and that he had learned a lesson to not trust the first pretty eyes that looked at him. “She is meant to be my- my friend! Or mor— my best friend? But-” He continued to explain gasping for air. Oh right...his best friend...She thought feeling a cold shiver down her spine. “Just- just give-… just give me a sec,” he said looking like he was suffocating in his own breaths. She knew panic attacks, how the anxiety and stress took over our body and mind. She felt pity of him, after all and despite all the wrong feelings he made her feel, he was just a boy, just a boy that like her, had lived to enough terrors and traumas for such a young age. So even if her heart had froze a little to his last words she decided to lean closer to him. Her arms reached towards his shoulders and she wrapped him in a tight hug, "I'm sorry Luci" She calmly whispered to his ear, "Everything is going to be alright now, it's over!" She finish saying, hiding her face in his neck. His smell was so comforting, she just hoped he could feel the same with her. But she knew he wouldn't. Her heart felt tight, her eyes filled with tears and she had to let go of him, like if she touched him from one more second she would start crumbling down all over the place, she could not let him see that! Her pride spoke louder and she quickly, released herself from their hug and got up from his bed, getting away from him has far as she could without letting him realize she felt the need to run from him. "You must be hungry," She started, looking at him and nervously putting a loose strand of her hair behind her ear, "Want me to go find something for you?" She asked nicely but her voice sounded muffled, she felt a painful knot in her throat, it was so hard to speak normally when she just felt shattering inside.

I couldn't breathe. What if she came back? What if everyone I was close to tries to let someone kill me? What if they did it themselves? Just as I was spiralling, I felt arms around me causing a small whimper to erupt from my mouth. I wrapped my arms around her too, burring my wet face into her warm neck. "I'm sorry Luci," her voice a gentle whisper into my ear, I let out quiet gasps. "Everything is going to be alright now, it's over," she added, putting her own face into mine. I could feel myself calming down as I got lost in her scent.
Sighing, I ran a hand through my hair and adjusted my glasses. The smell got stronger and I heard squeaking as someones shoes ran in the hallways. Spinning around, alert, I let out a surprised “Oomph” as someone collided with me. I groaned as the force practically slammed me into the wall.

I… I’m sorry!" I heard her apologise. She sounded weird. I looked at her. A messy hand clutched to her nose as tears clouded her eyes. I could see her face turning a crimson red colour as she closed her eyes.

She always seemed to bring the best out of me. She calms me down, comforts me, makes me feel loved. She is the best friend I ever had... and I wished so deeply we could be more but how can she love someone like me? Someone with a family like me? How can I introduce her to my family as my girlfriend full well knowing all she will get is hate from my grandfather and what I have known in my 12 years of living is that family sticks by you even when friends don't.

I clutches her tighter but soon she pulled away, I tried to grab her arm but pulled away last minuet. Of course she wanted to let go. I needed to stop being so clingy. I sniffed and looked around for a tissue. "Thank you luv," I whispered, already missing her warmth. I looked up and I felt the breath leave me. Why was she backed up so far? Did I do something wrong? "Urm- I-I can give you some money if I ruined your- your top?" I offered clueless, itching to get closer to her to see if she backed up. I was used to people not wanting to sit with me, even going as far as to sitting on the corner of their chair, almost falling off it, just to be as far away from me as they could. Especially after Ryan's ruse was gone.

"You must be hungry," she said, putting some hair behind her ear. I narrowed my eyes t that, giving them a few wipes to clear the remaining tears. "Want me to go find you something?" honestly, I don't think I could eat anything right now, but I could sense she wanted to leave. Well done Lucian, she doesn't want you around anymore. You've ruined like you always knew you would

"If- if you want to Lu- Re- Luv,” I stumbled, I don’t even know if she wants me to call her "luv" anymore. But to be safe I still will until she tells me otherwise. “I’m not that hungry though, so you don’t need a feast,” I added with a soft smile, sending a thankful look to her. She then left the dorm.

I sighed and curled in a ball in bed. Well done Lucian. Well bloody done. She seemed to want to get out of there faster than my Grandad would want to get out of muggle london! Soon, I heard tapping on the window. I looked over to find Grandpa’s owl. Licking my dry lips, I padded over and opened the door, shivering at the cold breeze. “Hallo,” I whispered to the owl, also, while also grabbing a treat for Spyro. “What you got for me?” a letter?

After giving the owl food and water, I sent it on its way. Moving back to my bed, I opened it and as I read along I got angrier. How could he? Maybe Ree didn’t deserve me at all. What if I really was causing her more pain by being her friend? For loving her? If it wasn’t for me then grandpa wouldn’t know she existed!

I hastily shoved the letter under my pillow and walked over to the bathroom with two towels. One for the body and other hair.

I didn’t know how long Ree would be but I knew I could have a nice shower and release my tensions before she did. Halfway though the shower, I thought I heard the door opening but after a while I guessed I miss heard. With a refreshed sign, I put the towel around my waist and started to dry my hair as I left the bathroom.

I walked out with the towel in front of my face and when I started drying the back of my head, the towel flipped up and I froze. Not even the cold air blowing on my bare chest registered to me. “You- you can’t read that!” I snapped, more in fear than anger. My eyes went wide as I looked at the letter in her hands.

Oh shi—

There's one thing we start to learn pretty soon when we got responsible for our own choices and decisions. Rina couldn't remember when she started to notice, but the struggles between the mind and the heart are often bitter and fierce. Sometimes it seems impossible to choose which one to follow. She supposed the most wisest Men are those who learn how to measure it best, between one and the other. But for an eleven year old, she was far from being that wise and her heart, since last night events, was literately screaming at her to follow its needs. So when she saw Luci close himself into his thoughts breathing heavily with anxiety and fear, she couldn't stop herself from bringing him into a tight and comforting hug. She felt her heart relax and melt when she finally had responded to its pleas. It felt like a cure for it's soreness and to everything that went wrong until that moment. It felt right, like when you combine two pieces that always had meant to be together.

But as soon as she felt getting drown in his scent and into his embrace, as soon as she felt him tightening his arms around her, her mind took finally control of her. That felt right, that felt what her heart wanted, but their reality had been written in a different line, and his last words came to her mind like an awakening,
“If I could date anyone? Then it would have to be Thorn,”
“She is meant to be my- my friend! Or mor— my best friend?”
So what was she doing to herself? Honestly? What was she expecting? He was her best friend, the person she had trusted the most but...it was clearly not the other way around. So... the idea that that moment felt to be what was right and where she was supposed to be, fell into the ground breaking into small pieces like a piece of fragile glass. No, that was not her place, she was not the one person he was missing or wanted to hug in search for comfort. So what was she doing?

Quickly extricating herself from his arms, she felt herself pulling away from him and getting up from his bed where she was sitting, feeling a sudden cold that made her shudder slightly and a feeling of emptiness. Her mind worked quickly to find an excuse for her sudden move. He had been in that room all morning, so that meant he didn't had his breakfast so he must felt hungry, even if not, he needed to eat something to find his strength. So she asked him if he wanted her to go get something for him.

"If- if you want to Lu- Re- Luv,” He said and Ree felt that word like a punch to her heart. Luv...is he still calling her that? Why? What that even mean to him...“I’m not that hungry though, so you don’t need a feast,” he continued now with a soft smile and gratitude in his eyes. Irina didn't waited one more second, before turning her back and heading for the Great Hall, hoping she could still arrive in time to find something to bring him to eat. Luckily there was still some cookies and hot bread with cheese, she picked some and filled her now empty water bottle with some still warm tea.

When she came back to his bedroom, she put the fresh and warm food on top of his nightstand and sat down on his now empty bed. She could hear the shower coming from the shared bathroom so she deduced Luci was there taking advantage of the time she was away. She sighed and hold herself into an embrace while waiting for him to came back. Suddenly she felt something sting into her leg causing her slight discomfort. When she looked down she saw a folded piece of paper. Did he left me a note? She thought picking and opening it,
Dear Lucian Michael,
Oh! No, it wasn't a note for her...Biting her lip she debated if she should continue to read it or just leave it in the same place. She turned her gaze towards the bathroom door, the water was keep running...he wouldn't be back so soon...and what if she could finally understand Luci's attitude after the ball at his grandfather's house? Taking a deep breath and knowing with all her soul that what she was about to do was wrong, she decided that her curiosity would win this round...so she kept reading it,
Greetings boy, I cannot believe what I am hearing from your parents about your diabolical behaviour! Entering the girls dorm despite that being forbidden, hitting a girl when she said something you didn’t like, I don’t care if she was vermin, at least be sneaky about it, Michael! Not when the room is full of weak blood traitors and mudbloods! You’re from the strong house of Mornsterm and related to the Wesleys – in fact, you should be a Wesley if your father wasn’t pathetic!

I blame that “friend” of yours! That half blood you invited to my ball! She disgusts me! That foul roach of her father and the blood traitor mother. I am glad you met that Cullen girl, no matter how peculiar and extravagant she is. I expect a 1,000 words essay on what you did wrong and how you plan to amend your behaviour and I expect it by the 1st of February.

You disappoint me!
Adrian Thomas Wesley
Owner of the Wesley Fortune

Her hands where shaking when she finished reading it. Some words kept repeating in her mind, "She disgusts me! That foul roach of her father and the blood traitor mother.". Tears of anger mixed with shame started to form in her eyes. She wanted to tear up that letter like if that simple act would make it disappear like it never existed.

“You- you can’t read that!” She heard him snap from the bathroom door. Quickly she took her eyes from the letter and looked at him startled and instinctively she hid the letter behind her back. What a stupid move, he already had seen it in her hands...and what a stupid decision she had made in kept reading it..."Lu...Luci...I...I..." She stammered fighting to find the right words to say. But it was a fight that she lost looking at him. First...well...he had just a towel around him...and second, there was no quick excuse coming to her mind at that time. Her heart was pounding in her chest and her mouth felt dry with fear and regret. She debated to run away from his room without saying one more word, but that would be acting as a coward and she was not such thing. She felt the need to turn her back on him, to not be able to continue to look at him but that wouldn't be any better. What could she say to him? That hadn't been on purpose? Of course it had been...That she didn't wanted to read it? That's true, but didn't made her less guilty of her decision... So she kept there, staring at him with a mix of feelings that could create a bomb. She wanted to think, to decide the best thing to say or to do but her mind didn't wanted to collaborate, she couldn't process a though or be coherent. Not when she knew she had done something so terrible, not when he was looking at her that way.

Lu...Luci...I...I..." she stammered. I stared with wide eyes and she struggled to say the right things. I dropped the hair towel and snatched the letter out of her hands, giving myself a papercut. I swore and shit it in a drawer.

You shouldn’t read that!” it was private. “It was private. Private!” I was starting to tear, she must have read it all. Damn it! I knew that I heard her when I was in the shower! “Did you read it all?” I asked, running a hand through my hair. She would know that she wasn’t exactly welcome in my grandfathers eyes.

She will see how grandpa really thinks of her. Will she hate me because of what he said about her dad? Or the reminder of Thorn? Will the fact that I followed instructions like a puppy and didn’t pick Thorn individually make her even more mad? “Ree, I-” I should apologise right? I walked closer to her and kneeled in front of her, mindful of my towel, and held her hands. “I’m sorry. But you shouldn’t have read that. What he thinks about you isn’t something you should concern yourself over, luv,” was I helping. I bit my lip and sat on the bed next to her. “Ree?”

She knew it had been a bad decision. That it was wrong to read other's correspondence. In her defense she first thought it had been a note left for her, but as soon as she started to read it she noticed that it wasn't. She should had left it under Luci's pillow and controlled her curiosity. So she didn't got surprised when Luci went to her and snatched the letter out of her hands and looked furious, “You shouldn’t read that!” he said to her, “It was private. Private!” he repeated and seemed that he was going to start cry.

She should had been careful, she should had listened that he was finishing his shower and was about to enter his room."I...I'm sorry Luci!" She in a cracking voice, panicked and ashamed of what she had done. “Did you read it all?” he asked nervously. She could tell by his tone of voice but also because he was running his hand through his hair, it was something he always does under more stress and when he feels nervous, she knew him that well.

"I...yes I've read it all" She replied looking down at her hands that were resting on her lap. “Ree, I-” she heard him start as he was getting closer and kneeling in front of her, holding her hands, “I’m sorry. But you shouldn’t have read that. What he thinks about you isn’t something you should concern yourself over, luv,” he tried to explain and she looked at him trying to see the truth behind his words. She followed him with eyes while he sat on the bed next to her, “Ree?” he asked.

"I shouldn't concern about it?" She asked, her voice a low and trembling, "I shouldn't concern about a man that don't want us to be friends? A man that you want to please and to follow all his demands? Is he the reason why you are..." How could she ask that? "Why you are with Thorn? Do you agree with him? That I'm disgusting because I'm a Half blood?" She asked, her voice getting louder when anger started to rise inside of her once more, "My father is a foul roach? My mother a blood traitor?" She asked getting up from his bed and holding her head with her hands, her back to him. Then she let her hands fall at her sides before turning to him again. "You hurt me Luci! I trusted you...I was never closed to no one like I was with you!" She said almost yelling at him, "You made your choice, follow a mad man's order!" She stated, "You choose someone that helped another that wanted you dead! But, Hey! She's a pureblood!" She said starting to laugh slightly feeling the irony of all that situation. She slowly shook her head before continue, "I'm leaving Luci, I don't care for you anymore! And don't ever call me luv again, I'm not your love!" She said feeling her heart break with every single word she uttered and tears starting to run down her face. Then she turned and started to leave the room. Before she reached the door she saw Colin that was arriving to his dorm, she passed through him, her shoulder slightly brushing his side, "I'm sorry Colin" She said with a shaky voice and almost running she left the boy's dorm.

Oh, she seemed mad! “I shouldn't concern about it?" she asked with a weak voice. I went to grab her hands but I didnt think that would be best right around now. Why is she mad? "I shouldn't concern about a man that don't want us to be friends? A man that you want to please and to follow all his demands?”

I'm so tired of pretending.
Where's my happy ending?

I frowned, “Luv… he is one of the most known and respectable men in the wizarding world. Especially in Germany. And he is my grandpa,” I reasoned. Why was it bad that I wanted to do right by him. “He is someone you look up to!”

I followed all the rules
I drew inside the lines
I never asked for anything that wasn't mine.

Is he the reason why you are..." she paused, “Why you are with Thorn?” I looked at my hands.

I waited patiently for my time
But when it finally came
He called her name

Yeah,” I whispered, voice cracking as a tear fell down my cheek. I knew that today wouldn’t end well.

Do you agree with him? That I'm disgusting because I'm a Half blood?" I shuddered as her voice got louder and more menacing, sort of backing away from her.

And now I feel this overwhelming pain
I mean it's in my veins
I mean it's in my brain
My thoughts are running in a circle like a toy train

Of course not luv,” I said calmly. Finally looking at her again. “Of course I don’t think that! You’re a good one! You aren’t evil! Or- or a danger!” I told her. “You’re the complete opposite to disgusting!”

I'm kinda like a perfect picture with a broken frame

Then she added: "My father is a foul roach? My mother a blood traitor?" she asked then got up from my bed and held her head with her hands, her back to me.

I know exactly who to blame

I too stood and spoke to her, or her back should I say. My voice got bolder. “Yes. Yes I do believe that Irina!” how can she not? “Your father is one of the lowest! And you should take a page out of the Black’s and blast him off of your family tree! Your mother is worse than he!” I snapped, curling my fists. “How dare she have the audacity to mix muggle and witch! Are your grandparents magical too? If so then shame on her!” my voice got lower and more menacing.

I never thought of myself as mean
I always thought that I'd be the queen
And there's no in between
'Cause if I can't have that
Then I would be the leader of the dark
And the bad

I had to control myself. I didn’t want to hurt her. I knew that if I let myself get angry enough I would lash out. Like I did with Thorn. Ava. Ashley.

Now there's a devil on my shoulder
Where the angels used to be
And he's calling me the queen

In that case, I sat back down again as she turned around. "You hurt me Luci! I trusted you...I was never closed to no one like I was with you!" she was basically yelling at me now and it took everything in me to not hold my ears. Protect myself from the words cutting deep. "You made your choice, follow a mad man's order!"

Being nice was my pastime
But I've been hurt for the last time
And I won't ever let another person take advantage of me
The anger burns my skin, third-degree
Now my blood's boiling hotter than a fiery sea

I shot to my feet, “Adrian Thomas Wesley is not a madman you- you…” I closed my eyes and took a few calming breaths. I wasn’t going to insult her like that. “You’re so glad I am me and not my cousin,” I muttered. Alaric loves his grandfather and he is far too impulsive and hot headed to keep as calm as I have managed. Klaus, the maniacal bastard, wouldn't even care! The git would probably laugh - wait no, that is too much emotion for him - he would probably give a smirk and tell her to leave.

There's nobody getting close to me
They're gonna bow to the Evil Queen
Your nightmare's my dream
Just wait until they fall to my wicked schemes

You choose someone that helped another that wanted you dead! But, hey! She's a pureblood!" Ree then started to laugh making her look crazy. "I'm leaving Luci, I don't care for you anymore! And don't ever call me luv again, I'm not your love!" it was like someone punched me in the gut. All feelings of anger from her previous statement gone as the dam broke. All the stress from the past couple of days. The anxiety. Fear. Now the heartbreak came washing away as I sobbed.

I never thought of myself as mean
I always thought that I'd be the queen
And there's no in between
'Cause if I can't have that
Then I would be the leader of the dark
And the bad

No- no no! Come back!” I begged as she turned and left, tears in her own eyes. “LUV!” I cried, gut-wrenching sobs hefted up from down below made their way out of my mouth in a painful way.

Now there's a devil on my shoulder
Where the angels used to be
And he's calling me the queen of mean
The queen of mean
The queen of mean

I fell to my knees harshly (no doubt getting carpet burn but that was the last of my worries) and slouched, head down. Accepting my fate.

Something's pulling me
It's so magnetic
My body is moving
Unsure where I'm headed

I didnt really see her leave. All I could hear was a buzzing noise as loud cries reverberated throughout the room. Tears still streamed down my face as I played back everything that just happened. Every breath. Every smile. Every tear. Every micro-expression.

All of my senses have left me defenseless
This darkness around me
Is promising vengeance
The price that I'm willing to pay is expensive
There's nothing to lose
When you're lonely and friendless

I opened my eyes and clenched my fists, angry trembles heard as I tried to stop crying over her.

So my only interest is showing this princess
That I am the queen
And my reign will be endless (endless)
I want what I deserve
I want to rule the world
Sit back and watch them learn
It's finally my turn

My body stilled. A blank look going on my face. Ree was the best thing that had ever happened to me. She was my first love. My first real friend let alone best friend. And then she throws it in my face like that!

If they want a villain for a queen
I'm gonna be one like they've never seen
I'll show them what it means
Now that I am that
I will be the ruler of the dark and the bad
'Cause the devil's on my shoulder
Where the angels used to be
And he's calling me the queen of mean
The queen of mean

Fine. If she wants nothing to do with me when she can have nothing to do with me. Might make things awkward if we do them as a pack but I’m sure Colin—

Oh shit Colin.

I looked up at the door.

I swear Sousa said something as she was leaving and called them “Colin” and we all know the only one that stays here!

Shit. Did my Alpha see my little breakdown there?

(Lucian) If an egg is broken by an outside force, life ends. If broken by an inside force, life begins. (Alaric)
