Happy Birthday!
Rita found out they were suddenly talking out art, and she seemed to be left out of the conversation. She needed to say something, else what was the point of being on this party if she was left out of the conversation. "Well, it seemed that you are talking about art. Well, I would admit drawing and painting is not really my cup of tea, but it is interesting to visit art galleries and admire brilliant art painted by others. I think I am more into music than art to be honest, especially listening to music, playing piano, and singing."
Suddenly, Lily said it was time to play a game, and choose one game from pass the parcel and truth or dare. Truth or dare was a game Rita was quite familiar with, but like Kim, she was also not that familiar with pass the parcel. But seeing Lily and Kim raising hands for that game, Rita decided that she should also raise her hand. "Honestly, like Kim, I am also not that familiar with that game. But I kind of have an idea, is pass the parcel that game which we count numbers as we pass those bags and if we reach a certain number, say 3 and the multiple of 3, that person has to sing a song or perform something like that? Honestly, I am not sure how that works. Could you please explain it, Lil?" The Second Year Hufflepuff with short black hair asked, waiting for Lily to provide a better explanation. She honestly did not really care what game they were about to play, as long as they were going to play a game to light up the atmosphere.

Rita was just listening carefully with a smile when Lil told them that they would have some artsy activities after the games and explained the limitations of coloring. "I think you have a point, Lil. It is kind of a nuisance that you have to color inside the lines. I like coloring with the paint though, it is so much fun to get your hands dirty! Yeah, we can totally do some artsy activities after the game! Get our hands dirty is always fun!" The delighted second year Hufflepuff with short black hair replied to the group of students attending Lily`s birthday party.
Then, Lil began to talk about the rules of Pass the Parcel game. Obviously, Rita had never played a muggle game like that before, despite her being a muggle born. But listening to Lil`s description, that did seem to an interesting game to Rita. And the chocolate frog prizes? Gosh, that made the game sound evening more fascinating! "I just cannot wait for the game to start! This is gonna be interesting! I wonder if Kim and Kay think the same, I hope they do!" The Second Year Hufflepuff thought, then quickly moved somewhere in the classroom to make a circle with the other attendants of the birthday party, and just impatiently waited for the game to start. "I am so glad that I attended Lil`s birthday party. Lil is a bit annoyed at first, but now we are best friends again and we are ready to play this interesting game, which would be followed by some opportunity to get my hands dirty, this is just so fun!" The Second Year Hufflepuff thought when she impatiently waited in the circle for the game to start.

"I agree with Kim, even if you think youryou're terrible at something, you might just find that your great at it," Kayla said, adding to what Kim had said to assure Lily. It was true, Kayla had never seen any of Lily's art beford, but Kayla was convinced that Lily was great. You never knew, what you think is bad could be your greatest strength. Rita said she wasn't much upof an art person but she was a music kind of person.
"Getting your hands stained with paint is just about the best thing about painting," Kayla agreed with Rita's statement.
Lily spoke up to say that they should start with a game, and she mentioned two. Truth or dare or Pass the Parcel. Kayla clapped her hands excitedly hearing the mention of the game. Both Rita and Kim were unfamiliar with the game, but Lily filled them in on the basics.
Like Lily, Kayla had played this game when she was young, so naturally she knew it. She raised her hand for pass the parcel along with the rest, seeing as there was no one voted for truth or dare, it was decided, Pass the parcel had won.

Two things that always went together, regardless of what the situation was. At least in Kim's experience. Rita's comment about how she was more into music than art made his lips curve into what could have been seen as a smile. "Both are quite addicting, have you heard about the Arts and Orchestral Society, the Essence of Music Club, or the Musicians Corner? They all have to do with music and could use some new members." Kim suggested, having known about them because he was a member of all three. As Rita attempted to tell him what Pass the Parcel was, the redhead raised an eyebrow. The game had to do with numbers? Singing and performing if something landed on a certain number? Kim was somewhat confused as to what Rita meant and glanced over at Lily when Rita spoke of having her explain the game. Well, it made sense, Lily was the one who had suggested the game. She would probably know how to play it since she'd suggested it in the first place, right? Lily's idea of maybe playing an art-like game afterward was interesting and Kim thought about it for a few seconds. With limited materials there..... What could they do as a group for something regarding art? A fun idea came to his mind. "What if we did a game where we all stand in a line and the first person comes up with an object and whispers the word to the next person. That person draws the object and the person after them draws the object too. Eventually, the last person looks at the drawing and tries to guess what the object is. If they get it right, they win. If they get it wrong, the person who originally whispered the word to the first person in the line wins it." "We each would have 10 seconds to draw. What do you think?" Kim asked as Puffie was happily being pet by the birthday girl and loving every second of it. Lily's earlier words about her preferences when it came to drawing, painting and coloring was interesting and he'd filed it down into his mind for later reference. Kim was of much the same mind, preferring that order too. Regarding the game, Kim nodded as Lily explained it to them. This explanation was more cohesive and he understood it. So that was how it was. No math involved. Much better. Kim waited until Lily had formed the circle, not wanting to make any assumptions as to where the circle was. As Rita joined, the redhead glanced around the area. Kim didn't want to get too close to anyone. So he ended up choosing a seat next to the birthday girl, as he thought no one would want to crowd her, right? Now the waiting game would happen, as the game would start soon. Kim was thankful that not many people had shown up for Lily's birthday party. Not that he wished for no one to come, but for his social anxiety it was a relief that there weren't many when he was there. The last thing he wanted was to have a panic attack here. But Kim also felt some security knowing that no one here knew about his condition. |
