Into The Unknown

Everyone was in a deep slumber as morning rolled around, and the atmosphere didn't appear to have changed at all. Despite the fact that it almost the end of the year, it was still snowing like Christmas. " Who seemed to be in a rush to move forward with anything in particular?" was indeed a rhetorical question.
Ashley, a young wizard who had just arrived at Hogwarts, awoke early in the morning.
He had sneaked out of the dorm while his roommates were sound asleep. He was dressed in white pants, sandals, and a fluffy white jersey with the letter "A" on it. With all he was wearing, he looked fashionable.
Although Ashley's personality screams anti-hero, he had come to terms with the fact that he might as well live up to the antihero label since his goal was to become one of the best wizards to ever exist. Ashley left his dorm in an effort to have some privacy so that he could consider his journey thus far. He used to routinely engage in this activity in his room at home. He used to walk outside to clear his head after having nightmares in an effort to persuade himself that it was not genuine. He has nightmares about his parents being murdered by an unidentified person, and he is aware that these nightmares are in some way false.
In order to avoid being seen early in the morning, the lad took extra care to enter the abandoned restrooms. At this hour of the morning, he would hate to be in detention. He was holding a book that dubbed the "Book of Spells" on the cover. He went to try a specific spell even though he knew his attempts would be ineffective because he lacked experience and he was never yet taught.
He arrived at his destination after at least 30 minutes. The chamber looked quite repulsive; it was covered with spiderwebs and crawling spiders that appeared unconcerned. In the winter, the area remained dusty, and the pipes frequently leaked. The ambiance was unpleasant and there were broken mirrors hung on the walls. If he had not known any better, this would have been a perfect place for pupils to escape the pressure they were under at school. For some reason, he gave it the name "the venting location" because it felt like a fresh spot for him to let all of his troubles out and thoroughly consider his life.
Ashley pulled his 32,1 centimeter aspen and dragon heartstring wand from his sleeve and tried to cast a spell that was intended to cause an object to hover. He wasn't really sure if it would work, so even though he was perceptive, he wasn't yet a full prodigy. When he opened a page in the spell book, he noticed a name written in italics with a drawn hand motion.
"Wingardium Leviosa" was written.
While closing his eyes, pointing his wand at his book he motioned his wand in an incoherent manner, and attempted to recite the words that his mind appeared to have absorbed.
" Wingardium Leviosa."
He tried to enchant the book, but his endeavors were unsuccessful since nothing moved the book; he frowned and grew bored as his face slumped. He was aware that he would eventually master the charm since it was in his destiny to do so; patience is therefore a virtue because no wizard or witch in history has ever learned a spell all at one time. To make everything work, everyone worked incredibly hard. As he prepared to leave, he collected himself, put his wand away, and closed the book of spells before his housekeeper could notice and ground him.
" I really cannot wait to start with classes. " He mumbled.

It was pretty early in the morning when I woke up. A slight chill wafting in the room. I tried going back to sleep but I couldn't, despite the cold atmosphere I was getting too warm in my onesie. I yawned and rubbed my eyes before getting my glasses on and changing clothes into something more comfortable. I was very happy to note that I hadn't had any nightmares in the past few days.
I said hi to Spyro and gave him some food before picking him up and putting him on my chest and stroking the top of his head. "Morning buddy," I said, "Bist du gut?" but I quickly got bored. "Wanna look around the castle?" I asked. Are you good?
I walked around a lot, making sure not to be seen, but as I got closer to the abandoned toilets I could hear someone talking. "Wingardium Leviosa!" I heard them say. It wasn't someone I knew because I didn't recognise their scent.
I poked my head in and saw a boy with dark hair. He was pointing his wand at a book and, obviously, trying to successfully use the spell to get it to float. "I really cannot wait to start with classes," I heard him mumble.
"You must be a Raven then," I joked, walking into the room. I had no idea what house he was in but he definitely wasn't a snake or else I would have seen him around. "Hey mate. I'm Lucian! This is Spyro!" I pointed to the bearded dragon clutched onto my front. "How is your spellcasting coming along?" I asked with a laugh, meant no harm but he looked quite disheartened.

As footsteps approached, the child became icier. Because there was less noise, he could easily hear everything that was going on around him. He was somewhat irritated by the results of his failure to cast a charm spell appropriately. The stranger's voice suddenly filled the room
" You must be a Raven then."
A young fine wizard who was roughly his age presented himself and what appeared to be his pet. Ashley decided to disregard his first comment and after few seconds he said "Spyro and Lucian, huh?" .His remarks were not really kind but were more like mockery. He continued to be ambivalent about strangers, especially those who tried to invade his privacy.
He heard the youngster inquire about how his spell casting was progressing, but instead of answering, he gave the boy a death stare that almost gave the impression that he could kill him right then and there.
" hm?" As he adjusted the position of his glasses, his blue eyes gleamed more brightly than normal. " I'd want to express that I'm not happy that someone is disturbing my tranquility right now. Next time, leave me alone and return to the hole you emerged from." You'd think from the way he said it that he knew which house the youngster belonged to, but he didn't—it was just a lucky guess although his voice was more commanding and unshaken. How awful, the boy was going to leave because he had no interest in speaking with the particular stranger who had come up to him.
Ashley's behavour was unacceptable but he indeed grew to be this way in order to protect himself from the world.

He said our names back to us but with a sarcastic undertone that caused me to frown. I walked further into the room and sat up on a ledge. “Merlin lad, what’s got your knickers twisted?” I asked with a smirk. And then, when I asked him about how his spells were coming on, he glared at me! Yeah, glared! For asking a damn question. I scoffed and shook my head, “No wonder you can’t cast the spell you stuck up asshat,” I teased. “Let lose!” I hopped down and put Spyro where I was sat, I then got my wand out from down the side of my trousers and waved it around loosely… but it was too lose and it flung out of my hand, only just missing hitting the mystery boy in the face. “Oops,” and I then retrieved it.
He then adjusted his glasses, “I'd want to express that I'm not happy that someone is disturbing my tranquility right now. Next time, leave me alone and return to the hole you emerged from,” now that had me rolling. I was only trying to be nice.
The look in my eyes hardened and I squared up to him, the wolf inside me just itching to give him a licking, “What did you say to me?” I asked quietly, anger bubbling inside. I did nothing to warrant this disrespect when all I was doing was making conversation. “You hate how I am disturbing your tranquility?” I mocked, pushing him to the wall. As I pushed him against the wall, I leaned in closer, slamming my hand against the wall as anger ran through me, fighting with my other side to not actually hurt the other boy.
After trying to intimidate him for a few seconds, I grabbed his book he was reading and opened it on a random page before dropping on the floor where a puddle was. “Oops,”
Was that a little pathetic…
“Better pick it up before it damages, egghead,” I muttered, turning to get ready to leave.

"Let loose?"
The boy glared at Lucian who kind of intimidated him. It came as a surprise that someone would approach Ashley in this manner because he appeared to be emotionally impermeable. As Lucian pulled out his wand to execute a spell, it appeared as though he had slick hands because the wand fell out like that. As a natural instinct, he reacted and tried to dodge, only to discover that the lad had missed the intended target.
Ashley laughed out loud, embarrassing the youngster inadvertently. He suddenly stopped laughing as the other boy retrieved his wand. He could tell by gazing into the eyes of the other boy in front of him that he had become infuriated. As Ashley watched him, he could not help but notice that something about him seemed unusual; he appeared to be more monster-like. Ashley gathered his thoughts and made the decision to overlook.
Since he was a lad with few words, he ignored even the inquiry Lucian presented, as usual.
In Lucian's outraged condition, he pushed Ashley against the wall and leaned closer to him to clearly warn him. He seized his book by force and tried to fling it over a nearby puddle, but fortunately, Ashley was quick to respond and he kicked the book further to prevent it from getting ruined and making the other student's actions futile.
Although he experienced a tingling sensation that he might have mistaken for pleasure when the other boy slammed him against the wall, the other boy's violent behaviors shouted masculinity, and the difference between the pair is that one of them was unclear of his sexuality.
The aggressiveness of the youngster made Ashley breathe heavily, presumably out of fear or??, but he had no idea what was he beginning to experience. He could smell the other boy's scent and described it as having a "vanilla scent." Ashley had never expressed any interest in anyone before, so what was he feeling?
He was a little interested by this because he had never experienced such emotions.
" Take this as a message to leave me alone and never interfere with my books."
Ashley tried hard not to think about the reciprocation of sensations while he calmly suppressed the other boy's fury.
Even though he was aware that this was really a mere illusion or more of a forbidden feeling as it was foreign to him, it was exciting to observe the other boy's rage and how close he was. The tingly sensation jolted through his spine as he carefully pushed the other boy back.
"Lucian, am I right?. Please respect me and give me some space." He said softly, unsure of how to interpret the entire situation. As he lifted up his book to clean it with his sleeve, his spectacles slid to the floor and cracked slightly. He took them and put them on him as he took a close look at the youngster. "Lucian, who are you?" Ashley muttered to himself.

The other boy was breathing heavily as I had him pinned against the wall, I thought it was because of fear and it made me smirk. finally, it wasn't me feeling like this! If only I had been allowed to live with my Grandfather from the start. He has filled me with so much confidence over these past few months, made me feel like I was worth something. "Take this as a message to leave me alone and never interfere with my books," I heard him say.
"Take what as a message? You against the wall with me having all the control over you?" I asked with a mocking smile, what a nerd. "You think because you can save a book from getting wet you're a mighty warrior?" I asked, my lips curling into a smile, I was, this time, careful as to not show my fangs, now was not a time to come out of the cave.
"Lucian, am I right? Please respect me and give me some space," he asked softly. He picked his book up but thats when his glasses fell off his face and fell to the floor, cracking slightly.
I snorted with laughter, “There’s another charm you should learn book boy,” I teased, watching him put them on.
I turned and walked back to Spyro but that’s when I heard him mutter, “Lucian, who are you?"
“The Lucian Michael Bauer Mornstern, heir to the Wesley fortune!” I replied with a proud smirk. Honestly, I was surprised that he made me the heir and not his youngest son. I never met him, though, he lives in Germany. “And who may you be, Egghead McBookworm?” I asked, picking up ‘Ro.

Although the other boy was a little extra, it was obvious from what happened that Ashley had found someone who shared his personality. When the mood calmed down, the other boy stated something about a spell that could fix his spectacles. Normally, he would just nod sagely, but this time Ashley didn't do that out of naivety because he wanted to fix his spectacles so desperately.
" Do you know how to spell?" He asked inquisitively.
Ashley didn't enjoy it when people labeled him a bookboy, nerd, or anything else that had a bully-type connotation. When the other lad said the aforementioned words, he grinned in an evil manner. " Never address me like that." He spoke firmly as his death stare instantly materialized. "Just don't label me a nerd; you never know what can happen in the next few hours of your life. I prefer the anti-hero, you know."
He gave a sinister, sarcastic warning.
"My name is Ashley Dinero Montez, and both of my parents were fully conversant with witchcraft and wizardry. Father served as the leader of the military of wizards, and mom was a well-known witch doctor. My granny is who I reside with. After having given birth to me, my mum died, my father died two years later, and my grandfather died one year after my father."
Ashley's eyes welled up with floods of sadness as he realized how alone he had been, having envied meeting both of his parents just to have one last conversation with them.
However, he obstinately battled his feelings by making a noticeable phony laugh.
"Because I don't trust everyone, Lucian, I behave in this manner." He added.

Rina was sat on her bad, beads of sweat ran down her face, mingled with tears. Another nightmare...and this one had been so vivid...felt so real because it was more then a bad dream. These dreams always haunted her more, and more often after the full moon. When she felt strong enough to get up for her bed she went to have a shower, hopefully it would help her relax and get rid of that awful feeling of anxiety and tiredness. It was dark in the forest, the tall pine trees were like black shadows dancing in the chilly wind. The full moon was high in the sky spreading it's silver blue light, guiding them through the old trail. Rina was younger then she was now. She was walking at her father's side and holding his hand. His father was a tall man, she couldn't see his face expression but she could felt the rush in their steps. The little girl was feeling scared trying to catch her father's strides with her short legs and clumsy feet. "Daddy," She was calling him feeling tears rolling down her cold cheeks from the winter freezing temperature, "Where are we going? Where's mummy?" She asked scared and looking around, waiting to see the dark-furred wolf.
The dream changed, and now she was lying in a mattress covered with linen sheets. The cave was dark dimly lit by candles and all she could see was shadows moving and getting closer to her. She suddenly felt panic starting to grow inside of her, her breathes getting shorter and uneven and she was so cold and confused. "I'm sorry darling" the voice of her mother came to her from the memory of their last conversation, "It has to be done". An excruciating pain awakened her from her thoughts and a wild and loud scream left her mouth until her voice got lost...
It was still quite early, the other students would still be getting some sleep and the house-elves would still be preparing breakfast so they could start the day. But Irina couldn't get back to sleep again, just to think about trying seemed to be a waste of her time. So she dressed up and got out of her common room so she could have a walk through the old castle, hopefully it would help her clean her head and start the new day in a better mood.
She was passing through the abandoned toilets door when she heard a noise of something getting hit coming from inside. Soon she also started to hear some voices, someone was there and for what it seemed they were not having a pleasant conversation. Irina thought if she should intervene or not...she wasn't a prefect or anyone responsible. Although if someone was in need of help maybe she could make the difference, she wasn't exactly the most incapable witch in her year...besides, if she called a prefect most certainly she would also be getting detention too and for more exciting that that may be and her record could tell otherwise, she wasn't a really fan of those.
Holding her alder wood wand she slowly entered the degraded old bathroom. "Because I don't trust everyone, Lucian, I behave in this manner." The unknown voice came to her before she could turn and see who was there. Lucian Mornstern was facing a boy that most likely would be their age, but Rina couldn't remember to had already met him. "Is everything alright in here?" She asked suspiciously looking from one boy to the other with her eyes slightly narrowed. Was when she noticed that the boy dressed in white had his glasses broken, "Had you been fighting?" Knowing Luci and how hot headed he could act she started to get a little bit worried. Looking at her friend with a warning look to stay quite, Rina walked to the other boy, she could see now that behind his glasses he had beautiful dark blue eyes, "I'm Irina Meyer Sousa" She introduced herself to him, "Do you want my help with that?" She calmly asked mentioning his glasses.

Being in this situation for the first time left Ashley unsure of how to describe what had been happening. Yes, he had it all together, but this time it surprised him that he appeared intimidated.
At that point, all of his feelings were inside and did not manifest externally.
"Is everything alright in here?"
Ashley pondered: "At this hour, I swear we were all probably going to get in trouble for sneaking around." Ashley kept quiet while giving Lucian a quick glance. The young woman asked, "Had you been fighting?"
Ashley remained silent and did nothing except stare at the young woman. She had a lovely face and a captivating voice.
As she introduced herself to Ashley, the young man nodded helplessly because he was speechless. He secretly feared that he was in trouble and that she might be a prefect, but there was no way to determine since she appeared to be a freshman like the rest of them.
He finally responded, " Ashley Montez."
Ashley looked at his glasses as he grew angrier about the Slytherin boy having broken them.
He was highly attached to everything he owned, thus it was all very precious to him. He made the decision to calm down, and the thoughtful action the young woman named Irina took may have been what helped him calm down too ." Do you want my help with that?"
Ashley considered turning down the offer, but he actually needed assistance to get his glasses mended. He enjoyed reading a lot and discovering new things, therefore he was unable to reject the offer." Yes, please" , he replied.
After entering Hogwarts, Ashley addressed Irina with the word please. The silence of Lucian descended upon the place, and Ashley began to wonder why he had been mute because he seemed to be acting rudely and showing bad boy characteristics, which Ashley had experienced when being held against the wall. Ashley clearly felt something at that that time, and it appears that his thoughts were more preoccupied with what had occurred. At the same time he was torn between his emotions and angry at Lucian for what he did.

I accidentally postedvery tired my lovelies but if you see any mistakes tell me and I cam change them!
“Do you know how to spell? he questioned which caused me to scoff.
“Of course I know how to spell… just not that one in particular,” I added, flushing at the start of neck slightly. “Theres a charm you should learn book boy!” I jeered.
The boy grinned evilly, “Never address me like that!” a so-called death glare forming on his face. I squared up to him, almost forehead to for head. I was only messing at this point!
“Oh yeah?” I asked, a toothless smile curling on my olive skin. “What you gonna do about it wormy?” I asked, staring at his eyes for ages to try and intimidate. After a few moments I backed off, returning to my place to sit.
“You don’t label me a nerd: you never know what can happen the next few hours if your life. I prefer the anti-hero, you know?” he gave a wicked smile I sniggered and turned to get ‘Ro, thats when I heard him as who I was.
“TheLucian Michael Bauer Mornstern, heir to the Wesley fortune!” I replied with a proud smirk. “And who may you be, Egghead McBookworm?” I asked, picking up ‘Ro.
“My name is Ashley Dinero Montez, and both of my parents were fully conversant with witchcraft and wizardry,” I tried to hide my smirk as he banged on. His family sounded respectable! “Father served as the leader of the military of wizards, and mom was a well-known witch doctor. My granny is who I reside with. After having given birth to me, my mum died, my father died two years later, and my grandfather died one year after my father,” he explained. I watched as his eyes began to flood with tears and I bit the inside of my cheek as I wondered what to say.
He was essentially an orphan. Like Bax. “Oh. Sorry about that mate,” he then made an absolutely ridiculous laugh but I took no notice. My head subtly flicked to the direction of the door. A familiar scent. Books. Pencil’s. Wood. A small frown overtook my features but I rid of it.
“Because I don’t trust anyone, Lucian, I behave in this manner!” he added. That stunned me and I couldn’t find the right words. I understand half of what he experienced but he by the sounds of things, he doesn’t have much close family. But wait.
The smell was stronger now-
“Is everything alright in here?” I turned and saw none other but Ree at the entrance. Her eyes danced between us both and I held my breath to stop the giggle about to emerge at the stance she took. Her wand was out and everything! All this kid did was give me a glance. “Had you been fighting?” she asked. I went to speak but Ree gave me a warning look and I rubbed the back if my neck nervously as The Bookworm stared at her. Never get in the middle of Ree and her orders! Prefect or not.
She got closer to the other boy and I felt… something boil inside me as she checked his glasses. Staring into his dark eyes, the colour of the ocean as the moon rises. “I’m Irina Meyer Sousa,”
“I’m Ashley Montez,” he finally spoke, looking at his broken glasses.
“Do you want my help with that?” uh! I wish I knew the spell so she could get away from him. Lad’s unstable!
“Yes please,” he answered. Finally fed up, I rolled my eyes and brought myself and Ro closer to the other’s.
“Am I allowed to speak now Luv?” I asked with a playful smirk, a fleeting look at Ashley before back at Irina. “And we are all fine!” I wrapped my right arm around Ashley’s shoulders. “Just making friends Ree! Ash is a right spiffing fellow! Real Ravenclaw too!” I added. I wanted to knugie him so bad but Spyro was in my hands.
