Happy Birthday!
"Lily`s birthday is in 2 days? How stupid I am, Lily is one of my best friends, but I still don`t know her birthday!" When Rita received the invitation from Lily through an owl, she was surprised and confused, "What should I bring to her? Maybe a box of colored pencils that my parents brought me, but I never use? I think maybe she would love that! Anyway, let me bring the colored pencils and head to the classroom to attend her birthday party two days later!"
Two days quickly passed, and it was time for Rita to bring the colored pencils, come to the classroom, and attend Lily`s birthday party! Rita ran fast and she was the first one to attend the party! Lily had carefully decorated the originally dull-looking classroom with all kinds of delicious food on the table and a bunch of balloons on the walls. Not to mention the big chocolate birthday cake in the middle of the tables. Rita waved to Lily delightedly, "Happy birthday, my best friend Lily! Here is a box of colored pencils my parents brought me, and I haven`t opened and used it. I hope you will like it!" "Oh, chocolate cake! I love chocolate! I will definitely have fun on Lily`s birthday!" Rita thought after saying happy birthday to her best friend.

Happy Birthday!
Kayla had received an invite a few days before.
She had just been sitting with Squeaky in her common room and finishing some homework, she usually did that it in the library, but the common room had some good sun, so she decided on that instead. She was then interrupted by an owl who dropped a letter on squeaky's head (which had disturbs the poor ferrets sleep and she was very unhappy), stating that her dear friend, Lily Blaze, was having a birthday party! Fun! Kayla was very happy to get this owl, it just showed to extent on how good their friendship was.
Just the day after receiving this owl, Kayla made it her mission to get Lily an amazing present. She stock-pilled more Bar Ones, to give to Lily, and stuck into Hogsmeade for a bit of last minute shopping. Thanks to the permission form. She quickly picked up her gift, not wanting to be found, and wrapped it up, and also made a card, just because cards were nice!
Ah, the day of the birthday, Kayla woke up extra early, just to make sure things were okay. She brought along a party hat, and a flower crown made with roses which she had made during the springtime event; she had become a bit of flower crown expert after that. She had an ordinary gift bag by her arm, filled with a few things she had gotten for Lily. First, she had a notebook, which Lily could draw or write in, she had also gotten Lily a book to read, which she thought Lily would find interesting (it was Stephan King, Fairy Tale.) Personally, the book she gave Lily she would never read. It was actually hers- but she just read the first page and got bored and decided to give it to someone who would actually read it. There was also a packet of pencils, not colour pencils, but also a couple paintbrushes and a few paints (she had chooses carefully which paints to sacrifice), but also some sweets from Hogsmeade!
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Lily Blazeeee," Kayla sang as she entered the classroom. "Happy birthday Lily!" Kayla gave her friend a hug before letting her go and registering the other person in the room.
"Hey Riri!" Kayla added to Rita.

Happy Birthday!
Rita was just grabbing some snacks from the table to eat when Rita and Lily`s mutual friend, Kay, arrived at the classroom to participate in the birthday party, also bringing a gift. Besides saying happy birthday to Lily, Kay also waved to Rita. Rita also waved back to Kayla, "Hi, Kay! Glad to see you again! How are you feeling today? Excited for the birthday party? We are all going to have fun!"
Following Kay, it was Quinn, the Slytherin girl Rita met at the Pet Club meeting, who have a cat named Bear. Rita also waved to Quinn with a smile, "Hi, Quinn! It`s Rita here! Remember me from the Pet Club?"
Seeing three of her friends had come, Lily thanked everyone for coming, saying she had invited a few others, but the party would begin in 5 minutes. "I can`t wait for the birthday party to begin! I wonder what activities would be played on the party, and I can`t wait to taste the big chocolate birthday cake! It must taste very good!" Rita thought and said to Lily and her other two friends delightedly, "Yeah, I can`t wait for the party to begin! I bet you girls are also looking forward to the birthday party! It`s your birthday, so you get to decide what activities will be on the party, Lily!"

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | It was Lily Blaze's birthday. The best part was that it was taking place at a time that was the most convenient for him! After lunchtime. Since it was a birthday party, Kim assumed there would be food there. But of course, he would be bringing some delicious snacks too. He didn't really know the birthday girl well but she was in a few of the same clubs as him and he knew her from them. She's also gone out of her way to personally invite him to her celebration. Since he didn't have any plans for today, he'd decided to attend. But of course, he needed to bring a present. Even if she hadn't said he needed to, it was a birthday. Naturally, presents were expected, it was just the etiquette of the situation for him. Kim had made fresh mini pigs in a blanket for the celebration, directly after lunch. After storing them in a container and placing it into his satchel, he started to make his present for Lily. It took a long time to construct and make perfect but eventually he finished, just in time. The amount of time it had taken for him to make every detail perfect had eaten up a lot of time. It was almost time. Lily had said it would be held upstairs in one of the empty classrooms on the second floor. Kim picked up his satchel, slung the strap over his shoulder and almost freaked out soon after. Because Puffie had chosen that moment to leap onto his shoulder. Reducio Below are the pigs in a blanket.  Below is the present he made Lily, a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and decorations.  "What are you doing, Puffie? You want to go with me?" Kim asked, reaching up to stroke the pink puffball. "Alright. Let's go together." Kim told him and headed for his destination. It would be nice to see Frisbee again too. Thankfully, Lily didn't have a cat, so Kim didn't have to worry about getting a deathly severe allergy attack. And since she'd specifically invited him, he assumed she would have told the others not to bring their cats if they had them. He should be safe. Upon reaching his destination, Kim knocked on the door and then opened it to slip inside the room. Three girls were already there, besides the birthday girl of course. Kim recognized two, Quinn and Rita. The third one seemed familiar though. What had her name been? Kyla? Wait, no. Kayla. That was it. The name seemed a bit hard to remember though, maybe he'd just call her Lala instead. "Yo." Kim said, giving his usual trademark greeting to them. "I brought some things. Some pigs in a blanket and a gift for Lily too." He stated and glanced around the room. "I'll put them over on the tables for now." The red haired boy, yes he'd dyed his hair red for the month of November, headed over to the aforementioned tables and set his satchel down. He also set the larger round container in his hands. This was the gift for Lily that he'd made, the large vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and decorations. Although, no one would know that was what it was. You couldn't see through the item protecting the cake at the moment. The big reveal would happen after someone lifted the lid but it had a big pink and red bow on the top, which implied it was a present and only Lily could open it. While his satchel was sitting on the table, Kim removed the container with the pigs in a blanket from it and set it down. Then, Kim picked up the round container with the big bow on top and placed it carefully with the other presents. Perfect. Now all that remained was to greet everyone! Going back to the former table, he slung the strap of his satchel over his shoulder and headed over to them. "How is everyone doing today?" He asked, letting his blue eyes flicker over each and every one of them. Puffie squeaked a greeting to everyone from atop his shoulder. "You're Kayla, right? Your name is a little hard for me to remember. So I'll probably call you Lala." Kim told her. Hopefully, she wouldn't mind too much. If she did, he could always come up with a different one for her. "Happy Birthday, Lily." Kim said with a slight nod to the girl. "You're here too, Quinn? How have you been?" Kim asked. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Happy Birthday!
Rita was just hoping for the game to start when Kim Aoki, the Gryffindor boy she saw everywhere around the Hogwarts campus but honestly don`t really know much about, arrived at the classroom to join Lily`s birthday with some sneaks and a present and his pet Puffie.
"Hi, Kim! How`s your day? By the way, Puffie is really cute!" Rita waved to the Gryffindor boy. After a short while, Lily announced that they are going to have an ice breaker game. "An ice breaker? Alright, I know all of the people here, but let me still do that." Rita smiled and thought. "But I had to admit I don`t know some of them very much, namely Quinn and Kim."
"Alright, let me do this. My name is Rita, I`m a Second-Year Hufflepuff, and I also play the piano, although honestly I don`t really practice much." Rita smiled as she looked at the group, "Anyway, I bet you guys all know me. What shall we do after everyone has done this, Lily? How about some games, such as truth or dare or odd one out? It`s your birthday, you decide what activities we should do, Lily. If any of you has any ideas what we should do, feel free to express them!"

"No problem, Lils!" Kayla said smiling before turning her attention to Rita. "Yeah, super. Bet the birthday girl is most excited!" Kayla added to Lily, laughing a bit.
More people came into the room and Kayla's excitement grew more. Kim came in, along with Quinn, who she knew from the pet society club.
"Hey, Quinn!" she greeted. "Hey, Kim!" Kayla listened as Kim explained her name was hard to remember and Kayla nodded, her memory wasn't great either, so she couldn't say anything. "Thats fine, I love it; it sounds so cute!" She confirmed with a smile.
Lily spoke up asking if they wanted to do ice breakers, which Kayla thought was a good idea. She listened as Lily started. Kayla didn't know Lily played piano, that was something she never knew! When Rita when, she found out Rita too played piano, which she thought was double cool! As Rita explained maybe they could do some other games like truth or dare, that sounded good to Kayla but she wasn't too sure. Lily encouraged the rest to continue and as no one was going, Kayla decided too.
"Hey, guys. I'm Kayla, first year, Hufflepuff. I'm a painter!" she said, she knew this wasn't spectacular or cool but Kayla took pride in her artwork, so she didn't mind too much.

ㅤ──────────────────────| ── | Kim was being all social now. He almost seemed peppy but it was all a front to cover up how he was really feeling inside. However, it seemed as if his acting was really good because so far no one had asked if he was doing alright, which was a red flag to him. It meant he needed to do a better job at pretending he was fine if someone asked that question. Puffie squeaked again as Lily didn't acknowledge him and his beady little eyes stared straight at her. Kim reached up and scratched the pink puffball's nose, knowing he liked that a lot, and then headed back to the table again. Picking up a pig-in-a-blanket, he popped it into his mouth and hung out near the corner of the room for now. Puffie hopped up and down on Kim's shoulder as Rita said he was cute and one could almost see the beams of happiness that shot out of him! Yes, Puffie liked compliments! He liked being fed too! The pink puffball's beady little eyes darted from Rita to Kayla to Lily and then back to Kim. Repeat! A few minutes later, Lily took the opportunity to suggest everyone do an icebreaker type of game. The redhead wondered what she meant but the girl explained soon after and Kim nodded. It seemed like a fun game to play, as long as it didn't get too personal by nature that is. Puffie hopped off Kim's shoulder and onto the table. He wanted to explore the area! Kim was too busy trying to distract himself by focusing on the girls to notice. "Kim Aoki. Second year. Gryffindor. I'm a duelist." The redhead told them. It was the easiest and safest 'fact' he could say about himself to strangers. Not that they were 'strangers' but he didn't know them that well and thus perhaps they could be considered this? It was hard to break through Kim's automatic walls, what you needed was patience, time and determination. As Rita gave her thoughts on what they should do at the party, Kim raised a brow but was silent. The last thing he wanted was to get into some kind of argument, he was the type to watch and listen. Unless what happened took place at one of the clubs he had founded, owned and managed. If he was the one in charge, Kim couldn't just stand by and do nothing if an argument arose. Not that one would arise of course but on the off-chance it did... a faint twinge of sadness could be seen on his face for a split second before it disappeared again as Kim's focus returned once more. Straying thoughts were never good, it made him think of - well, enough said. Meanwhile, Puffie was meandering around the table, checking out everything on the surface and then fell off. Intentionally. Since he was a puffball, he landed safely and wasn't damaged or hurt at all and started to roll forward. He wanted to be part of the action too! There were too many people not paying attention to him. Well, that would have to be remedied! When Kayla said that she was a painter, Kim took interest in her words. For the first time in awhile, his expression cleared a little and a faint smile came to his lips. "You paint? Do you sketch and draw too?" He asked, curious. After all, he loved doing all three and did so on a regular basis to relax when he was stressed or felt lost. Lately he'd been doing it more often. It was interesting to note that Kayla also liked to paint too. Did she do it for fun or was there an underlying reason behind it? ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Happy Birthday!
Kim said he was a duelest, which Kayla found interesting. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't allowed dueling yet. Yet. Kayla nodded at what he said.
"Thats cool," she mused.
As Kayla said she liked painting, Kim seemed to smile at this. And when he asked her if she drew or sketched, Kayla perked up at his words, as he was asking her about her interest.
Before answering, Kayla processed his question, she laced her hands togther and looked at him, smiling.
"Yep." She gave a short, one word answer. Kayla didn't just paint, she worked with paint and pen the same, but she preferred the brush. It was much smoother to her, but she was equally good at both.
Deciding to answer the questions more, she continued, "I love both. But painting mostly- do you paint or sketch?" she added, since he was interested, she assumed that he did, too, since he seemed so interested. But people were naturally curious, so she probably was just thinking too much. But the thought still stayed in mind, it was something, after all, to be considered.
Kayla watched Kim's Pigmy puff as it rolled around the table and fell- but it landed safely on the ground, luckily. Kayla wasn't sure whether to be intrigued or confused. But it was cute. So Kayla took the itrigued route.

"You ever think about dueling? Or are you more interested in brooms?" Kim asked, curious. Kayla responded to his earlier question with a short one word response. Perhaps she wasn't feeling much like talking? Kim could understand that, he wasn't very sociable when it came to others most of the time. Unless it was within a club that he either was the co-leader for or the main leader of. Before he could move away, to let Kayla be alone if that was what she wanted, the girl spoke again. Ah, maybe he'd read her wrong earlier? "Mm. I do all three. I don't really have much of a preference." Kim said with a little shrug. "It depends upon my mood at the time and where I am." That was the truth, sometimes sketching or drawing was the best choice because it was rather simple. You could also do it out of nowhere as long as you had inspiration and something to use to draw. Even if no parchment paper, inkwells or quills were available, you could always use a stick and the ground to doodle. On the other hand, painting required a certain array of colors and some kind of canvas to work upon. Puffie made his way over to the birthday girl. He bumped up against the girl's legs. A squeak could be heard from down below as Puffie looked up at Lily and waited for her to notice him. And hopefully either lean down to pet him or pick him up to pet him. As Lily spoke, mentioning how she liked art too, Kim looked over at her. "Really? What type are you interested in?" He asked, curious about her interests. When Lily added that it was more of a hobby and not a talent, Kim shook his head a little at her. "Well, I don't know about that. We always think we suck at the things we like to do. But sometimes we're actually better than we think we are. I'd have to take a look at your work." "After all, you might actually have talent. Even if you don't, art is about having fun and expressing yourself. It doesn't have to be for the sake of others, it can just be for yourself. I don't think it's a question of having talent or not, it's about what you want to portray when you focus on it. Then again, I'm not an expert but if you wanted my opinion I could give it to you." This was the most Kim had spoken since getting there. But it was all about art, which was interesting. Art was life itself to him. Lily chose this time to let them know they would be playing a game and that they would all vote. What games did she have in mind? Kim tilted his head to the side when Lily spoke of the two games. Truth or Dare and Pass the Parcel. The latter intrigued him as he wasn't familiar with this one. Thus, when she spoke the name of the game and raised her hand, Kim did so too. "I've never heard of that game. How do you play it?" He asked, curious. Hopefully, everyone voted for this game because it sounded like a fun game. Kim didn't care much for the rewards, he just wanted to play the game! Maybe introduce it to others. |
