Spyro Pet Solo Finished

I grinned as I walked into the shop, my mother standing to the side with a grin on her face as she watched me look around in awe. There were so many animals!

Cute Cats that purred and whined, playing with wach other. Rats and Owls. I smirked at the snake that was there but it didn’t pay me any mind. I also saw—

“Mum! Mum! Look! They have a ferret!” I exclaimed, shooting over to look at it. Mum walked over and placed an arm around my back.

“Do you remember last time we had a ferret?” she asked with a soft, but knowing, smile.

I suddenly found my shoes more interesting. “Yes,” I mumbled, I looked at her again. “But I was only 10!” I protested.

“Nope. Not budging, angel. I told you, if yiu really want a ferret again you will wait until you’re fifteen. We can always leave…” she trailed off.

“No! I- I’m sorry!” then swiftly moved away from her before she dragged me out. I heard one of the owners laugh and move closer to mum.

“Ball of energy, isn’t he? Your young one,” I heard her say despite the whispering.

“Oh, this is just because he is so excited. Honestly. This time for the past good years I thought I already had a teenager in the house with how much energy he lacked. He never went anywhere unless he was with his brother!” she answered. The tips of my ears went red. Yeah, because I had no one to go out with until Baxter showed up.

I tried blocking them out as I fawned over the animals. “What’s in here… AHH!” I yelled, my head moving so fast I could have got whiplash.

“What is it angel?”

“S- s- spider!” I stammered, backing away. I gulped and made my way to the Bearded Dragon

“How can I help you young man?” she asked, probably because I am skirting around her shop like a Quidditch Seeker after the Snitch.

“I’m picking out a pet! I’ve always wanted one!” I replied, bouncing a little. I was so excited! Of course, a Niffler would be the best pet seeing as they are my favourite but I know I can’t get one of those, Mother doesn’t fully trust me not to accidentally kill a pet like that, so- “I decided on the Baby Bearded Dragon, miss sorry, what's your name?”

“Anita Witticker, and yours?” she asked politely.

“Lucian Michael Mornstern! Well. Technically, Lucian Michael Bauer Mornstern,” I added with a blush. It was a long name.

“Lovely to meet you!” I smiled at her words. “What are you going to name him?” she asked after I pointed to a male one.

“Erm…” I thought long and hard. “Spyro then she got everything sorted for my life with my Dragon!

“Thanks!” I called as we left the shop.
