I like cornbread only when it's made well and isn't gritty and chewy. Cornbread should be nice and soft and fluffy inside like cake. And then have a slightly crisp but soft texture on the top!

I agree wholeheartedly. I really like the slightly crispy cornbread, but I'm not sure I'd like gritty and chewy cornbread!
