Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor: Match 12
ReducioDid Sylvie want to get Regina have her moment of playful banter? Perhaps. It was entertaining, after all. Regardless of her reasoning, it seems she would elect not to cast this round, instead watching Regina's Incendio land true. But... Aw. No flames? Not to say that Sylvie wanting to see Samantha light up like a Yule tree in a house fire, but you know... That was part of the charm!

Samantha was on her last leg as she raised her wand to Sylvie. However, fate was a cruel mistress, and something overtook her once more. No matter how hard she might try to fight against it mentally, she could not force herself to cast. It was as if she had been petrified to her spot.
Regina and Sylvie, ready to finish this duel, unleashed Incendio Duo and Flipendo at the frozen Ravenclaw. It would seem Evasion was not in Samantha’s cards as the Incendio engulfed her, clinging onto her clothes and the Flipendo slamming against her chest. It likely would have been agony if she had been conscious before she hit the ground. “HALT!” Santario commanded, rushing to Samantha more urgently than she usually did.
The upcoming healer was in action before calling over the medics, who promptly responded to her casting, making their way to the stage. “Exstinguo.” to put out the flames and stop any sustained burning. “Ferula.” Bandages would wrap around her wounds, stopping the bleeding from Sylvie’s spells. Once medics arrived, Santario would stand and stow away her wand. Acknowledging the Gryffindors and the crowd, “Congratulations, Gryffindor, on a well-fought duel. Make sure you get yourselves checked out by the nurse before you resume your daily activities. “ She mainly meant Sylvie considering Regina was walking away without a scratch. Once Samantha was taken off the piste, Santario would also step down to report the duel results.

The Gryffindor's fearsome presence was more than enough to petrify her opponent to conclude the duel.
"INCENDIO DUO!"
In Regina's mind, it was as though everything was happening in slow motion. Her violet eyes were sharp as they followed the blazing green fire fly across the stage to engulf Samantha completely. For a single moment, her mind travelled back to a particular memory during her childhood - she was standing in the Miller Manor's living room now instead of Hogwarts, and in front of her wasn't the Ravenclaw Prefect but her older sister. Regina felt phantom flames licking at her skin as well, but she knew in reality she wasn't being burnt. It was just an effect of the flashback.
This was why she loved the Fire-Making Spell. It was symbolic. A weakness turned into power. Power that had never failed to bring Regina to victory.
Samantha's unconscious body thumped loudly with the force of two offensive spells.
The prey had fallen. The hunt was done. And true to her dramatic character, Regina spoke up one final time before turning on her heels to leave the duel, the hem of her robes sweeping with her movements.
"Take this as a lesson on the consequences of silencing a Lion."
