Finished Musicaians Corner Club Meeting #2 PV group

Edward couldn't believe himself. He was late, AGAIN! At this point of his life Edwrad realized he had terrible time management, he either did everything too early or was late too everything. Sadly, today was the latter, he had signed up for a Musicians club not too long ago, he had missed the first meeting because he wasn't registered yet. So he felt a lot of joy in his heart for this meeting, hopefully they would be understanding of his tardiness. Almost all the people had met at Hogwarts was king of heart and smart of the head. Edward sometimes wished he was that nice or was smarter. People always said he wasn't a bright kid, but he wasn't dumb per say. He had gotten a letter stating the first meeting and where it was. Edward always had an extreme interest in music, when he was young his mother hired someone to teach Edward how to play piano, he practiced for years until he almost perfected it, sadly the teacher was old and tragicly passed on. Edward still enjoyed playing the piano, and later taught himself guitar. He spent so many nights strumming it in his room and out on the porch where it didn't bother his mother. His mother had quite a few instruments up in the attic, but piano and guitar drew him in the most. Edward walked into the rehearsal room to find a bunch of students gathered about, there was a circle of chairs in the center of the room, Edward adjusted his baseball cap and held his guitar close as he made his way to his seat. Getting into a comfortable position he rested his guitar on his knee giving a small awkward wave as he sat. He looked about and saw some face she recognized including, Kia @Kim Sato, Roombug @Aurora Griffith, Bai @Bailey Glade, Warrior Rita @Rita Su, @Charlie Jacobsen, and the rest he didn't recognize. But he was excited none the less to hear what would happen and what would unfold, what adventures was awaiting them through music?

Everyone was arriving. I had done this right! I shifted my saxophone, and adjusted the neck strap. “Hello everyone! Thank you all so much for coming! Thanks you to those who brought snacks, they all look great!” I said. “Alright everyone lets get started! How about we share our name, year, house, what instrument we play and why we love music.” wait. Did I just say that? No no no no… I’m gonna have to share that… I said regretting. “I’ll go first. I’m Charlie Jacobsen, first year, Ravenclaw. Iv’e played drums since I was five, and I started saxophone when I was eight.” I said as I felt my confidence go rolling down the hill. “I love music… because… It has helped me get through some really hard times… where my dad… yeah. I said. Why do I always over share…

When everyone was done sharing I pulled the three giant folders of music from under my chair. “Ok Y’all, we will be doing 3 different songs. Deck the halls, I’ll be home for Christmas, and hobbit dance. Singers can only sing in two of the songs, and we have quite a few pianists, so some of you will have to do some percussion things. Well most of you.” I said as the stress rose in me. “Alright we will start with Deck the halls!” I said as I passed out a folder and sheet music to each person.

Everyone except Lily Brown joined, so they can run in late or not attend. We will be going around the circle and sharing.
Order of events
1. Everyone arrives, and gets seated in circle of chairs.
2. We go around and share name, instrument, year, house, anything else.
3. Pass out sheet music and essentially ‘sight read’
4. Get through the three songs, and clean up, go to dinner.

Huh. Gavin was a bit surprised by the overlap of people between his clubs. That was 4 people out of everyone who had shown up, which may not have seemed like a ton, but was still pretty astounding to the first year.

He sat on his bench in absolute silence as most of the people arrived, just watching them. It was better to just observe when there were so many. He didn't do well in situations with a lot of people, as much as he hated to admit it. It made him shudder to think about it sometimes. Being surrounded by people, especially strangers... That was why he didn't usually eat in the Great Hall, frankly. It was too loud, too busy.

When everyone was seated comfortably, Charlie, the girl with the saxophone, began to explain the goal of the meeting. Gavin listened intently to words, then waited as the club leader gave an example of what to answer with. Then was a girl who, despite her flamboyant entrance, seemed to clam up at the last question, hair turning pink, curiously enough. Gavin's eyes locked onto the phenomenon, although his gaze held only curiosity.

He shook his head. Would it be better to just go ahead and introduce himself, or should he wait?

Eventually, he would give his own introduction. "I'm Gavin Faulkner, a first-year Ravenclaw. I play the piano and I just grew up enjoying music, but the reason I love playing it is because a close friend of mine taught me how to." He wondered how Andy was doing. His dad would probably give an update on his next letter. First of the month, and all...

Rita was still sitting on the piano bench to practice her song when she heard the club leader, Charlie, talking to all the members and asking all the members to introduce themselves to the other members in the club and then they would practice a few songs. Introducing herself. Classic things to do when club members meet for the first time. But since Rita did not know many people for the Musicians Corners club, it must be necessary to introduce herself. Anyway, Rita stopped playing piano, got down from the piano bench, and began to listen to others introducing themselves.

Well, there were two first years introducing themselves before Rita. Ava and Gavin, two pretty good names. Rita did not know any of them, but it was always interesting to meet new people. Anyway, Rita cleared her throat, and also began to introduce herself, "Hi, Charlie, Ava, and Gavin! Nice to meet you three! My name is Rita, and I am a second year Hufflepuff. I play the piano, obviously. I also like singing. Speaking of why I like music, I started to learn piano at age 6, and I think it was very relaxing to play the piano, singing, and listen to music. Music helps me to relieve stress. I hope I can learn more about music and have fun at the Musicians Corner club!" She waved to other members with a smile and waited for other members to also introduce themselves so that they can start practicing those songs very soon. Rita was kind of expecting for more events at the music club, and she was kind of sure that the leader, Charlie, would operate the club successfully.

Charlie, a first year Ravenclaw, was the head of the club, and she spoke, telling them what they would be doing with this meeting.
Bailey smiled, as her mind was racing with what Charlie had said. She was one of many pianists, and Bailey would gladly step to the side to let someone else shine.

Standing up so everyone could see her, Bailey waited to the group and smiled. She, with her smile still on her face, said “I guess I’ll go next! My name is Bailey- Bailey Glade. I am a third year Ravenclaw, you might have seen me around the castle, in a club or with Emmy best friend Kim. I play the Piano, and my love of music started really early- my mum started teaching me piano with what she knew, and then as my love of music of all sorts grew, she signed me up for lessons!”
Still smiling, Bailey sat back down on a piano bench. Realizing someone else might need the piano, Bailey moved herself and sat next to her bag on the floor.
