Being a pureblood wizard, Vale has a proper understanding of the various magical creatures found in the wizarding world. However, despite being a pureblood, Vale and her family has a history of oppressive figures controlling their lives, especially due to their bizarre behavior. They also have a diverse background of being raised by muggleborns (Vale excitedly calls them "magbobs"), and have dealings with various creatures due to their professions of being potioneers and herbologists. The Ashwoods don't harbor house elves, finding such a thing appalling and have strict beliefs that all creatures are equal. Most Ashwoods are peaceful, yet passionate in nature while others will find more violent actions to justify the means of overtake for change.
