Closed André + Emma vs Damion + Bailey Spider Game Match 4

It was baileys second match. She had previously told Kim that if they had an odd number, she would be willing to play again. And there was an odd number, so bailey was paired with @Damion White, a fourth year Ravenclaw, against two foreign students.
Damion had recently starred joining a lot of clubs that Bailey and Kim were both in, and Bailey was slightly curious why.
Walking up on the podium, Bailey knew what to expect. She had already participated in one round, with Kim supervising. Her partner had by an elder 5th year Griffindor, and they had been against two hufflepuffs- A first year that Bailey did not know well yet, André, and the famous and well loved Hufflepuff prefect @Emma Wynn, who was one of baileys friends.
ah it would be nice to get to meet up with Emma sometime- maybe in the library, or over a meal. I’d love to talk to her/ maybe I should owl her! Bailey thought.
She smiled as she looked into the basket. Three spiders, her ammunition. Perfect!
As the round started, Bailey threw one of the spiders. It flew across the room. Despite not being the best aim, Bailey had high hopes for this spider.

André, full off enthusiasm jumped up onto the platform when his name was called. He listened very intently to Kim's explanation of the rules to the 'spider game' The last one out would be the winner? Throwing spiders at the opponents team didn't sound so hard.

In all honesty he had no clue who he was on the platform with. Not personally, he know that the two Ravenclaw's on the platform were Damion White and Bailey Glade. His own teammate was Emma Wynn, a hufflepuff perfect. "Lets win this, right? I'm André just so you know." he introduced. And looked at the spiders in his bucket, this would be a fun game.

At last he hoped so, it would definitely be fun if his team was winning; and right now they weren't losing so they had to be winning. It made perfect sense to him! He did notice that he was the youngest on the platform.. That wouldn't matter! All he knew was that all of the other people sucked at throwing! And he would have to carry the match and just win it all himself.

Hopefully his teammate, Emma could throw. "you can throw right?" He questioned his teammate.

Emma stepped up slightly nervously. Admittedly she had thought the game sounded quite fun, but she was also nervous about the fake spiders. She was not a spider fan and even the more realistic fake spiders were enough to have her scurrying away. But that would not fly at the game and she also didn’t want to let down her partner. Stepping up when her name was called, she walked towards the platform, climbing it like it was the gallows and she was about to be hung. Looking anywhere but at the basket, she smiled slightly in Bailey’s direction, wondering if she should say something but deciding that her queasy stomach made keeping her mouth shut the much better option.

Inching even farther from the bucket in front of her, she looked over as her partner spoke. She quietly and nervously answered, fidgeting with her robes, “Hi André. I’m Emma. Yeah…..let’s do this.” Emma tried to put some oomph in the last sentence but she just couldn’t do it. Taking a breath in, she looked down at the basket of spiders, cringing when she saw them. They didn’t look too bad, enough that she figured she could handle it, even if she was holding her breath the entire time. Mumbling under her breath, she said “Should have worked on my dodging skills.”
Shrugging, Emma said “Kind of? I mean sports were never my thing but how hard could it be right?” Probably not the best answer to give her partner confidence. “But I’m sure you’ll do great!” She added, thinking she hoped that she didn’t drag him down.

Moderation Post Round I

At first, Cash had no intention to make an appearance at the Thrill & Chill Halloween Bash that they heard going around at the castle. But they had been cooped up in their dorm room, cramming some half-bake pile worth of homework. Cash sighed and stretch their aching back. Their green eyes landed on their abandoned Halloween costume.

For a moment they contemplated whether they will attend the bash or not but since a lot of their peers went to the bash, Cash thought it would not hurt them if they took a short break. Donning Captain Jack Sparrow from head to toe, Cash feels a bit silly but at the same time, they love their costume. The Beater straight away make a beeline to where the Bash was located.

Upon arriving at the scene, the Ballroom was kind of deserted until the Cuban descendant hear some voices behind a heavy curtain door with 'Death Door' attached to it. Cash lifted up the curtain and walk towards it. If their memory served the correctly, the host for the evening was Kim Sato. Their eyes searched for the boy and when they found him, Cash walked toward Kim.

Once Cash passed platform 2, they shot a wink toward Haley and their cousin Verona. Once Cash stood in front of Kim, they asked what was going on. Kim told the young socialite there was an extension to the bash. A game called Sticky Spiders and had explained how the whole thing worked. The fourth year offered their service to oversee one or two of the matches.

Kim had instructed them to take on Match 3 and 4. Their eyes glanced toward platform 3 but it seems they still waited for one more person to enter the piste and so Cash climbed to platform 4 for the time being while waiting for all the participants of platform 3 to show up. "Alright, gremlins! You know how the game works. Let's get on with it!"Cash stated to the players of platform 4.

First up is André Lebedev. A first-year Hufflepuff who will try to attack Ravenclaw's very own Damion White. As strong as the boy chucked the fake spider toward the Quidditch player, it did not stick at his intended target. It seems the friendly Hufflepuff's very own Prefect Emm Wynn, also has the same idea as her partner.

She also tries to throw the fake spider at Damion White. Try as she might, at first, Cash thought the Sticky Spider will land on Damion. But at the last minute, the oldest student out of everyone in the group stepped to the side. "Cheeky move you pulled, White,"The green eyes let out a chuckle. "Come on, guys! Put more effort and oomph into it,"Cash commented.

"It is only a fake one, Wynn! It will not bite you"The Prefect of Slytherin shakes their head. Their attention shifted to the Ravenclaw team which consist of Bailey Glade and Damion White. "Show me what you got, Glade!"The young Ironwoods said to the girl. As Bailey Glade throws her Sticky Spider at Emma Wynn, it seems the pattern was repeated all over again.

"She aimed, she shot, and she missed!"Cash expressed as they try not to laugh at Glade's misfortune. "It is fine, you still have two more rounds to go"Cash tried to throw some word of encouragement for the blonde Ravenclaw. The last one that try to hit his target was Damion White. The boy zeroed in his gaze towards the young Hufflepuff boy, André Lebedev.

Cash sighed as the aim of the Ravenclaw Quidditch player also failed like his other three counterparts. "I thought your aim as a Beater would help you, White. I guess I was wrong"Cash playfully antagonized the other fourth-year. The theme of the first round is clear and palpable which is failures.

So far both teams were actionless. But Cash did not lose hope just yet. "You still have two more rounds to prove that you are better than the other team. May the odds be in your favor,"Cash smirked and waited who will get spidered first.

Emma squeaked as she put her hands over her face and quickly hopped aside, hoping the creepy crawley (even fake) wouldn't touch her. Peeking through her hands, she saw it had fallen to the floor, and breathed a sigh of relief only to realize she now had to pick one up. Sighing, she moved closer to her basket of spiders. Emma blushed when Cash, a fellow prefect commented on her hesitation. In her head she responded with "I know!" but she didn't feel comfortable enough saying it out loud. Plus she knew she'd just feel guilty at letting her fear and frustration through.

Emma tentatively picked up the spider and just as quickly threw it in the general direction of her target, dismayed when it missed. She really did not have the skills it seemed. Although she perked up at the thought that she dodged. At least there was that. But she groaned as she realized not even her partner had managed to land. She had hoped for a quick game, if only to save herself some embarrassment but it seemed like that was not to be.

She prepared herself for the next round, trying to figure out the best way to toss the spider with minimal touching, her body held tense. Turning her head towards André, she said "It can't get worse than that right?"

No one hit anyone. So everyone was safe - this was good news for Bailey and Damion, since they were safe, but it was also bad because both of their spiders had missed. Both of the opposide side, Emma and Andre threw their spiders at Damion. Bailey and Damion each attacked someone different, but neither of their spiders stuck.
Grabbing another spider from the provided bucket, Bailey smiled and blushed at Cassandra's commentary. She would make a phenomenal announcer for Quidditch, bailey thought. that would be funny. I think she'd do a great job as well Bailey smiled, trying to hold back a laugh. She had no idea why she wanted to laugh - had their been something in the food? Maybe it was just the adrenaline.
Bailey looked over at Damion who was preparing for the second round. She smiled and said softly so only Damion and maybe Cass could hear - "We got this. I'm sure we'll win!!!"
Bailey might have just jinxed the Ravenclaw pair, but she did not believe in superstitions like that, so she figured she would be ok.
just breath, you'll be fine. Just pretend its a ball and you're playing catch with your brothers, and all will go well. Throw plain and true...

André knew well who he was aiming for, the older Ravenclaw student. He had faith that his own spider and his partners would stick on Damion, after all Emma did say she knew how to throw. André of course knew how.

He was trying to aim for the older boy, but... He missed. It looked like Damion dogged the spider Emma threw at him. "That was a warm up throw, so don't worry. Ill get the next one, and she is right the spider isn't real." He told his partner. Maybe the warm up throw part was a lie, the spiders definitely not real. So no need to be afraid right?

The fake spiders the Ravenclaw's threw seemed to be just as effective as there own. Both missing, "Lets call that round even" he said to all on the platform, and laughed a bit at his own joke. He then turned to his partner, "I mean- it probably can? But we won't let it! We hot this next round." it definitely could have been worse. The Ravenclaw's could have landed both of there spiders on them, and with them missing.. It was best not to this about it. André smiled, and turned his focus back to the game, determined to make this next spider stick.
