From a very young age, the white-haired always learn that the best thing to do when someone hurts you, is to hurt them back ten folds. That is the life motto she always kept and that is the lesson she intends to keep during this game of spells. Yes, none of their spells have actually grazed her pretty skin yet, but they have wounded her pride by taking down her partner. So it is time for the Hufflepuffs to learn the same lesson that it is a very bad idea to make this particular part-veela angry.

The Hufflepuffs have unlocked a lot of vented-up anger that Pea has kept especially after the traumatic events she went through at the beginning of September. With a very quick movement, and the white-haired flings her wand at a thick smoke. Her hair was blown by her movement, her eyebrow furrowed and her cheeks are flushed. She couldn't see where the Hufflepuff are located, but she knew, she was pointing in the right direction. A blaze of fire went off her wand, lighting up the thick white haze that are still coating her piercing eyesight. But she knew- she knew that at that point her spell meet its target square in their chest, lighting up the room with glorifying fire. She laugh maniacally as AngelFyre went ablaze. "Seems that I will be having roasted Badger for dinner-" Pea says while still completely amused by the outcome of her fantastic wand casting. "Oh, but you must be expecting it since your team name is called 'the Blazing Badgers.' -Actually, you might want to thank me, I have fulfilled your wish." The girl smirked with satisfaction even though she can't even see her opponent's reaction.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, right now was going according to plan. Three rounds in a row AngelFyre had either missed, or worse, had failed to cast. Nothing less than pathetic. Their strategy had been sound... very sound, but their execution had been clumsy and very sloppy. That would definitely need to be addressed in practice.

Struggling with the frustration of the turn of events in the match, and perhaps feeling a false sense of security by being shrouded in the smoke, AngelFyre turned her attention to Emma who had not even uttered a word last round. In so doing, AngelFyre made the worst mistake she would make in the match. She was about to ask Emma if she was okay when Pea's Incendio came hurtling towards her at Mach speed. There was no time to dodge it and AngelFyre felt the burn. Her worst fear realized.

Fire.

Her mind immediately sent off all kinds of 5 alarm bells. Her synapses were, appropriately and ironically enough, firing in rapid-fire exchanges as messages of warning traveled from one neuron to another like crazy. Instantaneously, AngelFyre was soon engulfed in the worst pain of her life. She was only vaguely aware of Pea droning on and cackling maniacally in the ever increasing background, but agony trumped all her thoughts in those moments. Besides, she did not need to hear the girl's words. She had heard enough. It would predictably be just a variation of the same stupid trash talk in a different round. It was personal for Pea, really personal, and it was AngelFyre's misfortune to be her target of choice. So be it.

She tried to remain calm and not panic. Panic would only make everything worse. Every breath she took singed her lungs. Her eyes were closed and she began to pray for peace and calm.... but mostly if she was being honest... she prayed for relief from the pain. She had been too distracted this match and it would likely continue until she was KO'd or it ended, but for whatever time she remained on the piste, she needed to at least try to help Emma.

She hoped she was not screaming out loud; that it was all in her head. Simon did not need to hear or see any of this right now.

Emma was frustrated, there was no other word for her. She had let her previous successes and the joy in having defeated one opponent cause her to become unfocused and, just foolish. Her spell didn't even cast and it was important for every single thing to hit now, as things were starting to get closer and closer. What made it worse is AngelFyre's spell went awry. Nothing seemed to be going their way this time around.

But things got even worse. Pea managed to get off an incendio that landed with perfect precision on AngelFyre. Crying out, Emma's eyes widened in surprise and started appearing a little wet. She could only imagine how AngelFyre was feeling and Emma just wanted to cry. Her frustration grew especially hotter when Pea taunted them. Growling below her breath, Emma wiped her eyes, her temper getting the better of her and threw back a weak reply. "At least we can keep our feet unlike your partner." She immediately felt a wave of horror at the words coming out of her mouth but honestly she had the redheads famous temper and between the taunt while AngelFyre was on fire, and the fact that her spell had not gone off, she just couldn't stop herself. Biting her lip, she tried to stop anymore tears from coming to her eyes, or at least playing it off as a side effect of the smoke.

Fire had been lit under the Badgers, and they would respond. All the while the snake would spit more flames onto the pyre - which looked a lot like two Hufflepuff students.

One burning badger would become two. Pea would try to replicate the same success she had found last round with her Incendio. While nothing near the brilliant radiant flame from before, it was still fire, and it still burned Emma as it collided with her body. The flames would even stick around to burn away at the poor girl.

The Badgers had a retort - they would swap spells this time. And this time, it would work. Both Badgers would find magic flowing from their wands. As hard as the fog made it to aim, each would find success in targeting the elusive shrouded snake. Emma would pick up on some minute sound Pea had made (or maybe it was the taunting) and laser her sneezing bout towards the girl. It was close, the smoke had almost made it too difficult to hit her, but Emma's aim had been too good. Pea would feel her nose begin to itch - the temptation to sneeze growing.

Next to Emma, AngelFyre would lob evil, invisible magical hands to dig into Pea. While her aim could use some work, a sneeze at the last moment seemed to trip Pea up just enough to allow the Rictusempra to impact. Painful magic would dig into Pea and drive laughter out of her lungs as he struggled with the sneezing fits.

Both Badgers on flame, and a severely impaired snake - all covered in thick smoke. If only they were able to see the duelists, it would have been quite the sight. Would the smoke dissipate? How would the duelists look when it did?!

The Hufflepuffs tried to make retorts towards her, but it was obvious that Emma was distraught by the sound of her voice when fire set AngelFyre ablaze. "At least we can keep our feet unlike your partner." The girl said trying to taunt the white-haired. It was obvious that they are too disgustingly soft for a good taunt. They are Hufflepuffs after all, what did she expect? "Is that so? and did you think that is going to- offend me?" Pea laughs shrewdly. "Ming was just a nuisance of my greatness. Now I have no disturbance to.. show off my real power." The white-haired smile proudly. Even though what she says was not completely true. Losing her partner did not feel good at all, especially for someone who is a fellow Slytherin. But she has to maintain this facade so she could maintain her confidence to finish this duel. Pea raised her wand again, this time at Emma- using the same beautiful spell she just used on her partner again. Another fire is shot out from her wand, although this time it is not as bright as the one before, it is still a hot blazing fire. Soon another Hufflepuff is set on fire. "Oh! Now I am having two Hufflepuffs for dinner! Delicious." the girl smirked and then laugh evilly, did not realize there are two spells coming at her very quickly. BAM! and BAm! two spells hit her out of nowhere. It was not an offensive spell, it was something worse. Slowly her nose would feel so itchy she could not stop sneezing. What more disgusting is the noise she let out with every sneeze. A high-pitch-shrill noise that would fill the entire dueling arena. Curse words started to leave her mouth as she kept sneezing uncontrollably, as another effect of another spell started to take its effect on her body. A bunch of tiny hands felt like it was surrounding her body. The tickling charm. Fantastic. She tries her hardest to not make herself laugh by the charm but it was apparently proven to be very- unpleasant. Pea covers her mouth with one of her hands trying to control both of her laughs and sneezes. Thankfully the smoke still covered the stage because she would never recover from the embarrassment if everyone sees her like this. Especially if Tone sees her now.

There was no words to describe the fear that Emma felt when she saw the fire coming her way. Biting her lip tightly, she closed her eyes, a small yelp coming from her mouth when it hit. The tears that she had been trying to hold back could no longer be resisted, and they were streaming down her face. That hurt. Letting out a slow breath, Emma did her best to aim towards Pea, a wave of joy going through her when she was able to cast even through the pain. She didn't know how Angelfyre was holding up under this having felt the effects a round longer.

She was even more happy, when she heard the sneezes coming from Pea. While she couldn't laugh because she was focused on the fire bit, she would admit that a pained smile graced her lips. The tears were still present but slowing down slightly. She was pretty sure that Angelfyre's spell had hit as well. She had caught sight of a second spell winging it's way to Pea but between the fog and tears she couldn't see. She managed to say "Well, it seems like your nuisance of a partner would be helpful right now at least." She had thought to say something about her power and how useless it was now but she had calmed or the fact she was on fire had cooled her temper and she didn't feel right saying anything else. Even that line was kind of on the edge of giving her guilt.

The burn was still going strong and honestly, she had no idea how talented a witch Pea was, or was not, so she therefore had no idea as to what to expect duration wise from these flames. She of course could extinguish them, either with magic or an elegant 'drop and roll' as she had been taught to do in her Muggle fire and safety drills back home, but she did not want to waste a round doing such.

She had cast Incendio a number of times in her only match last year, landing a few, but that was mainly because it was one of the only spells she had known at the time. She regretted bitterly the pain that must have caused her opponent, who stoically brushed it off like it was a mosquito bite and nothing more. Perhaps she had been burned too often and it was something one built up a tolerance to? Who knew. What AngelFyre knew was that she was not interested in building the tolerance. Thinking back on it, neither of her opponents had cast fire at her or at Autumn, and AngelFyre was now wondering if that was because it would have pricked their collective conscience to do so, or if because as 4th years, they just knew stronger, more powerful spells?

What she did know was that this was nothing short of pure agony and AngelFyre knew she was going to have to do some soul searching as to whether or not she was likely to EVER cast it at another opponent in a duel. She would, of course, continue to practice it on the enchanted dummies in the Duelling Practice room, because she saw the value in keeping her skills honed, but this was a spell only to be used on your worst enemy.

And that was not Pea Elena Fowl.

That was not anyone at Hogwarts, actually.

Pea was indeed a vain and pompous girl who was much too full of herself, but she sure as heck was not AngelFyre's enemy. She forced these thoughts to the back of her mind and tried as best she could to focus on her next casting. Pea's spell struck first and AngelFyre was horrified to hear that Emma was also now on fire. Poor, Emma!

Pea did not know it right then, but not only had she set her partner aflame, she had set AngelFyre's resolve aflame as well. The badger had decided to send back some love to Pea and let her laugh herself out. Maybe she would laugh so much that her voice would go hoarse and both she and Emma would be spared the incessant stream of smack talk. To her utter amazement, she clearly spoke Rictusempra! and was delighted to see the spell leave her wand tip and disappear into the fog. Before she heard Pea begin to laugh, she heard a series of loud and sniffly sneezes coming from across the piste.

Finally. A cause for a smile. Both of their spells hit.

All right, Emma! Way to go, partner! She would have loved to have said it aloud to her, but her bronchial lining took a furnace blast hit just intoning the last spell. Better to keep quiet and save her energy for the next round.

The best thing to do this round seemed to be... nothing. Maybe some cool dodge moves at most, but anyone going for anything slightly more strenuous would find little success.

Pea had a lot to deal with. Sneezing and being tickled, it was not a good combo for trying to actually cast a spell. So she'd focus on trying not to get hit with any spells. It would be unnecessary, but still a good choice.

Emma would decide to return to the the tried and true. A flipendo! But, much like flipendo being tried and true, her inability to cast shared that same descriptor. No magic would come out of her wand.

Failing to cast any magic was boring though. AngelFyre would not be so lucky as to be "boring" this round. If AngelFyre was going to go down, it was going to be with a bang. With her own "Flipendo!" came the booming sound of the very same spell impacting a fraction of a second later.

Even before the smoke had totally cleared Galton's hand was up and he was rushing forward. "PAUSE! AngelFyre is down!" Galton would do his best to put out the flames eating away at the now unconscious witch before the medical team made their way to her. When the piste was cleared Galton would return to the sidelines.

A Badger and Snake remained - had the Snake flipped the script and cornered the Badger? Whatever the outcome, it was an interesting revelation. "RESUME!"

AngelFyre knew she was at the ragged end of what she was able to take from the flames that engulfed her. Concentration was impossible in the midst of such excruciating agony. The two things she was most thankful for in the moment was that Simon had not been able to see any of it thanks to Pea's Fumos, so he had at least been spared that. She also knew that relief from the agony was just around the corner; she just had no idea that she would be her own savior.

It had been upsetting her to know that she was likely going to be leaving her partner to battle it out alone, but honestly, it was not like she had been all that much help to Emma this match anyway. She knew she was a better duelist than this performance would indicate, but today was not her day. It happens. Mustering the last bit of scattered focus she had in her, she rasped out a weak and barely audible Flipendo and she knew immediately that this was going to be anything but what she had hoped it would be as her wand began to violently wobble in her hand.

That was a new experience.

She had only a microsecond to begin to wonder what it could mean before she was knocked back and knocked out of the match by her own casting backfiring on her, blessed unconsciousness relieving her immediately. Anyone who knew her would know that while it was definitely not the way she would have wanted to go out, the whole idea of it when she would awaken in the Hospital Wing would tickle her sense of humor and have her laughing.... even through her pain and embarrassment.

For now, however, the blackness and silencing of her mind's screams was a very welcome friend.

Emma was cringing from the burning that was occurring, and hopeful the torment would end soon. She wasn't sure she could concentrate enough to cast her spell at Pea, especially when she was mostly trying to focus on the sound of her sneezes to aim.

Hoping for the best, Emma pointed her wand in the general direction and almost shouted Flipendo, her voice wobbling.....but nothing happened. She had failed to cast. Honestly, she wasn't surprised but she had hoped that she could have focused enough to cast. Wasn't that the true mark of a duelist? Plus in the real world, she would likely be injured and need to make her casts still.

She was even more shocked to hear a thump, and Galton's voice crying out that AngelFyre was down. Looking over, she cringed and let out an eep, hoping that AngelFyre wouldn't be hurting too much when she woke up in the hospital wing.
