Closed Breaking the rules for a ferret open

Rita could never imagine it would take her so long to finish her homework that need to be done and submitted later this week. It was Nov.28th, a normal Monday in Hogwarts, and since Rita spent too much time outdoors after class to meet up and having small talks with new people and old friends, as well as Quidditch training and other activities, she nearly forgot to do her homework, so on that particular Monday, she had to spend the whole evening to complete the long and nearly endless homework in the study room. When she finished writing, she looked at the clock and found out it was nearly 10:30 pm. It was already past curfew time, and Rita had to come back to her dorm room as soon as possible before a prefect found her and landed her in detention.

When Rita picked up her belongings, left the study room, and passed through the corridors to her dorm, she found out the corridors were all dark. "Lumos!" She waved her wand in the correct movement and said the incantation to cast the lighting spell.

It was a success! A dim light emerged from the tip of Rita`s wand to help her walk in the dark. In the dim light, she accidentally saw her friend, fellow Hufflepuff Kay, looking panicked and finding something everywhere in the corridors.

"What the hell are you doing, Kay? Why are you also outside your dorm? I just finished my homework, and I`m quickly go back to my dorm! It is past curfew time, and don`t you know that a prefect would find you at any minute and give you a detention? By the way, you looked panicked, are you finding something? How about you go back to the Huffle girl`s dorm and find it tomorrow? If you still cannot find it next morning, how about you report to a professor or other people to have them help you find it? It is so dark here, and it is more difficult to find whatever you lost in the dark corridors! I am going back to my Plant Palace dorm anyway, I don`t wanna be caught by a prefect, and receive detention!" Rita said to her friend in a worried tone, then quickly ran back to her Plant Palace dorm before any prefect could catch her and give her detention, thinking, "What is this silly little badger doing in the dark corridors at 10:30 pm? Does she wanna be caught for a prefect and land herself in detention? Does she even know it is more difficult to find things in a dark place? There are definitely several more sensible methods than looking for something alone in the darkness! Anyway, let her figure the thing out, I cannot really help her at this point!" She then quickly climbed up her bed and began to rest for the day.

"Squeaky?!" Kaylas voice was growing more faint and hoarse by the minute, her eyes were tired and she almost felt like giving up. But she couldn't, and she wouldn't either. Kayla yawned loudly as she continued to walk through the hallways, shouting.

But then she heard something.

"Squeaky?!" she shouted, thinking it might've been her ferret. But she was met by a blinding light and a girl's voice.

"What the hell are you doing, Kay? Why are you also outside your dorm? I just finished my homework, and I`m quickly go back to my dorm! It is past curfew time, and don`t you know that a prefect would find you at any minute and give you a detention?"

Rita Su.

Kayla was being bombarded with questions and she held up a hand.
"I'm outside my dorm, because I'm looking for my ferret, you know, Squeaky. And I don't care if a prefect finds me, I just want to find my girl," Kayla answered miserably as Rita continued to scold the young Hufflepuff.

Kayla felt Rita was unfair and wouldn't even hear Kayla out, because that was a bit inconsiderate. And even when Kayla answered, Rita just rambled on. Kayla was tempted to roll her eyes but she kept her gaze fixed on Rita. Then the older Hufflepuff decided to leave.
Couldnt help me out, could you? Kayla thought as she watched Rita leave.

Where was Kayla doing again? Oh right.

"Squeaky?" She heard something in the opposite direction and continued to look. And the search for the ferret continued.
