I think you must be extremely careful about mental struggles like that and come up with a good reason.
I personally suffered from ADHD in my childhood so please understand that mental struggles like these are no jokes

Yeah of course! I do not plan on joking about is as I just think it would be nice to have representation. Besides (not saying I have it-) but I do relate to a lot of the symptoms and have researched a lot about ocd and autism spectrum disorder. So I just feel like people might be able to relate to my character.

i am also happy to clarify any other questions or concerns. And if someone is uncomfortable with me representing autistic people I am happy to just not carry out the action. The only reasons why I wish to do this is because I wish to correctly represent people with disabilities and also convey my own experiences as (again not saying I have it I just suspect I do) I have also been though very similar things.

I've heard the diagnosing process for autism takes forever but that's with most things i guess

Yeah. And sadly it can also be expensive and you can even be misdiagnosed on purpose.
