"Yeah, I know some parents are so called "Helicopter Parents", and they try to monitor everything their children do, and their children do not have freedom. That is unhealthy parenting, luckily my parents aren`t like that. They set rules, but at least I have freedom to express my opinions and decisions. That`s quite good." Rita smiled as she responded to Simon, feeling glad that she could at least have some freedom to do things she truly enjoyed.

"Yeah, that`s fair. Just a gift to maintain your relationship, I think I may do the same if I am in a relationship sometime in the future." Giving a gift to maintain your relationship sounded like a good idea, something she would also do if she had a boyfriend in the future. She was only 12, so there was no rush for relationships, she always believed she would eventually find someone in the future.

"By the way, I think we are quite similar. I can play the piano and sing, and I also enjoy listening to music. Socializing and swimming are what I also enjoy doing. Anyway, do you have anything else to ask me? If not, I think we can call it a day, and I may leave the corridors to deal with my own things. It is getting a bit late anyway. We can meet again very soon if you have time" Rita smiled when she discovered they have so much in common. However, she did not feel the need to ask Simon any further questions, as it may get too private. She waited for Simon to respond and wondered if he got anything else to ask her before she leaved the corridors to deal with her own things.

Rita was an easy person to talk to and he could easily see why she was placed in the house of Hufflepuff even only after a brief conversation with her. Not everyone at Hogwarts would stop to meet someone new in the corridors like that. She was an extroverted soul like himself.

"Yea, sure, I'd like that Rita. Hope to see you around!" he said and smiled softly to her. Maybe sometime he'd see her around in the Common Room or perhaps at the Hufflepuff Table during meal times, although he didn't frequent them often. It sounded as though Rita Su was the type that spent a great deal of her time outdoors and maybe that's why he hadn't really made introductions with her until then.

Hopefully though sometime he'd see her, maybe when practicing the piano in the Rehearsal Room or maybe the Library. Winter holiday was quickly approaching, and with that meant lots of assignments, projects, and essays. The professors seemed to love assigning them right before the holidays so that students could stress and stress and stress before finally earning their free time over the break. There was definitely no compassion with his professors in his third year.
