As Santario watched, she was reminded of two predators circling their prey as the red ladies looked upon Cade, but he stared right back while applying pressure to his bleeding wound. He was not afraid of them and was bound and determined to give them a run for their money; Eagles were still birds of prey.

Sylvie was being remarkably stoic, something Santario was in a match, so getting a good read on the girl wasn’t as easy. However, as she released her wind stream, only to miss Cade by a mere fraction of a hair’s width, Santario imagined her blood starting to boil.

Regina laughed, and while it did not have the same effect on San as Samantha, she could see why it might have. With a proclamation of her prowess, Regina conjured a dangerous wildfire ready to consume the boy across from her. Cade was prepared as he narrowly escaped being caught in a windstorm; he would easily dodge the flames ready to eat him alive. A brilliantly cast spell gone to waste, but at least they could marvel at its sheer power. Indeed, if it had hit Cade, he probably would have found himself on his last legs, if not unconscious altogether, leaving Samantha to fend for herself.

Samantha, who could do nothing but watch her partner literally dodge for his life, struggled against her bonds. While the girl might not look all that impressive regarding strength, it was clear she was not to be underestimated. Quickly, the spell gave way to her struggle, and she could bring herself to her feet, still feeling a little sore from the unseen battle.

It was incredibly hard for the brunette to watch her dueling partner be the target of all the spells, which he luckily was able to dodge. Cade was doing great but he wouldn't make it if she just kept chilling on the floor. Focusing all her strength, which she didn't have a lot of, on breaking free she managed to escape the spell. She got up and glared at the two lions, ready for revenge.

Sylvie quietly sucked her teeth. Well, that was... Annoying. To say the very least... Not only did her spell miss, but her partners as well? She sighed as she rolled her shoulders. These obnoxious bubbles were, too, getting on her nerves.

Whatever. She'd raise her wand at the ready, narrowing her brown eyes at her opponents

Santario wasn’t sure what was happening with the Ravenclaws; perhaps their intention was to dodge again. However, it would appear that Samantha and Cade did not make an assault on their opponents.

Regina would find her own string of bad luck, unable to take advantage of the Eagle’s lapse. She swished her wand and spoke her incantation bringing the familiar red light building up at the tip of her wand. However, instead of unleashing a roar of flames at her opponent, the light dimmed into nothing. Perhaps she might hit something if she practiced the walk more than the talk like her partner. Sylvie, having been stoic and silent through almost the entire duel, set her sights on Samantha and unleashed the brilliant blue light of Flipendo. It would strike her opponent true, knocking her a step back and opening a new wound on Samantha’s clavicle.

While the Gryffindors weren’t having the best string of luck, the Ravenclaws would need to step up their game to make a comeback from their current position.

Overwhelmed with the possible spells she could cast, the brunette froze in her place. In her head, she was trying to come up with the best jinx to cast but her mind wasn't able to pick one. With a confused look, she stared at her wand trying to figure out what to do. This had never happened to her, she always knew what she wanted to do! What if Bubba had noticed she froze?! That would be horrible! Her full attention was on searching Bubba's face in the crowd of watching students, hoping he didn't notice her failure. Only when Sylvie's flipendo hit her, did Samantha focus on the duel, which wasn't looking too good for her and Cade.

The wound Cade had been ignoring this entire time seemed to bite him angrily, vying for his attention. All the perfect dodging he'd done before had aggravated his injury. Wincing, the young wizard would stoop over and try to take a moment to breathe. He felt exhausted. Dizzy from so much blood loss. The world was spinning and he stumbled to his embarrassment. How did this look to the spectators? Were the eagles so weak they couldn't even cast a single spell? That was not right. It shouldn't have gone this way. He didn't even hear Santario's signal for their next round. All of a sudden, a spell was cast toward them. Thankfully nothing was directed toward Cade. But he flinched all the same when Samantha was snagged by that nasty Flipendo by Sylvie. He couldn't let it end this way. Something had to happen. They needed to take control again. "C'mon Sam, it's not over yet."

Sylvie rolled her shoulders. Her flipendo hit; and seeing the blood drawn from Samantha... It prooobably felt like a bunch of little knives. Cade was looking a bit... Pale! Poor thing. Sylvie wasn't the type for such sympathy however, in a world where a flick of the wand could remedy such things. Maybe they'd raise their hands in surrender!

The Ravenclaws were able to shake off whatever had overcome them as they raised their wands. Samantha, intent on making up for lost time, aim for Sylvie, the girl who has somehow been making them bleed with regular spells. However, not everything was shaken off as her spell went a little too wide, allowing the bubble hindered Sylvie enough wiggle room to stay in the frying pan but out of the fire.

Regina notably had nothing to say this time after her falter, had it humbled her into silence? Regardless of the girl’s reasoning for dropping the smack talk, she unleashed a turquoise flash of light toward Samantha. The light managed to graze the Ravenclaw’s hand, but not even Santario could tell if it had hit until the effects of the Impedimenta set in. Samantha would find that her legs would no longer give her their full cooperation. Almost as if when she willed them to move, it took them a second longer to respond than they should have, causing her to feel slower and clunky.

"C'mon Sam, it's not over yet." Famous last words from one Cade Darkbound as he unleashed a smoke that slowly started to cover the field. Sylvie may not have been the type for sympathy, but she sure was willing to put Cade out of his misery as her Flipendo sailed across the piste. He had almost gotten out of the way, but the brilliant blue light slammed hard into his shoulder, forcing his body to spin. Cade would land facedown on the piste; hopefully, he had lost consciousness beforehand.

“HALT!” Santario called as she swiftly moved through the smoke covering her nose and mouth with the sleeve of her robe. “Lumos. She murmured and held her wand straight in the air allowing the medics to pinpoint her location through the smoke. Unfortunately, the boy was unconscious. When the medics arrived, Santario walked back to her place and waited until she saw them on the sideline headed away from the stage. “Nox… Alright, you may continue!”
