OOC Potions Q&A

Do the questions in Assignment #3 require 5-line answers as per usual? If so, is the first and fifth question exempt?

My instructions do not mandate a specific number of 'lines' or 'sentences' when giving answers. I instead use the grading scheme for a certain question to judge. If it's worth 5 marks then I expect something with substance that explains what it should explain. If it proffers only 1 mark then a single word will suffice. Usually, 1 or 2 marks will follow a direct question.

Professor, about the last assignment, you said that the second option had to be one we choose for the Mental/Physical/Environmental. I looked up the ingredients, but along that the brewing time was also included: three Β months. How am I going to get it done in three hours, do I have to choose another option?

As per the instructions taken from the lesson, I've already considered that some of the choices from the first lesson will be beyond current skill level or allotted time. For that reason, I'd like for each person to make a decent attempt at brewing the more difficult/time-consuming potions regardless of how plausible it would seem to do so. Get creative with how you go about it in the RP and you'll be just fine.

OOC Potions Q&A
Hello Professor,Β

For the last assignment, would it be okay to simultaneously brew the two potions separately? I felt the wording could have gone either way, so I'm asking for clarity - is it okay to use two cauldrons at once?

Also, if there isn't a canon recipe for our potion of choice, I assume it's okay to pretend there is one in the book and make it up to the best of our ability. Is that assumption correct?

Just wanted to double check.Β

Thank you!Β

Yes and yes. Time efficiency is as much a part of the assignment as the brewing. Considering the specificity of time I was hoping that everyone would make the attempt to brew both simultaneously.
As for the recipes. As many do not have their own yet, you are free to conjure your own so long as it reasonably makes sense for the potion in question.

I don't understand question 2 on lesson 1. Do I just look up an in-canon potion and base it of that? Even with that I don't understand what the question is asking of me. Do I just explain the potion and why I chose it? I'm confuzzled

OOC Potions Q&A
Hi! I had a question about the first question in lesson 1 - I was only able to find two rules for potionΒ  Β making identified within the lesson, but in the homework, that question was worth three points. Should I look for a third(or more) rule? Or is the point value not directly related like that?

Long story short, I survived

OOC Potions Q&A
Hello professor! Good evening!
I had a question. It is, is there any way to get extra/bonus points for the class? For example, is there any extra-credit homeworks, and if not, can we include extra information related to the lesson to earn more points for our house? Maybe do an RPG of creating a potion?
Thanking you in advance for your time,
