It was October 6th, the second day Andy arrived at Hogwarts for the ball and the first task of the Hexwizard Tournament. Last night's welcome feast tired him, although enjoying food and chatting with Milly and Miles was fascinating. When he got up from his cabin, it was already 8:30 AM. Luckily, he did not have any events to attend today. He decided to find someone to chat with to fulfill the day. Luckily, Milly was just standing outside her cabin, also seeming to look for someone. Andy waved to Milly with a smile, "Good morning, Milly! How are you feeling today? I hope you are doing great! It was nice chatting with you and Miles last night during the welcome feast. Do you have anything particular to do today? I have no events today, but I will attend a demonstration event for the Hexwizard tournament tomorrow. Talking about the ball, do you have any plans for it? Like what are you gonna wear and who are you gonna dance with? I am going to wear a red Custome that kind of makes me look like the prince considering the fairytale theme of the ball. Anyway, no matter what you wear, I believe you will look gorgeous at the ball with your beautiful blonde hair and piercing brown eyes!" Andy smiled at Milly again after saying that, hoping his compliment will also please Milly.

Andy listened carefully as Milly greeted to him and corrected his mistakes for getting with the color of her eyes wrong, hopefully Milly was not upset by that. He looked at Milly`s eyes carefully again, and yes, they are piercing, crystal-blue eyes. He smiled at her again, "Sorry, Milly. I don`t mean to get you eye color wrong. Indeed, they are piercing, crystal-blue eyes, beautiful eyes. By the way, I think you will definitely look beautiful in pink! I can`t wait to see your dress when the ball begins the day after tomorrow! As for Nick, I know he is also on the Ilvermorny Hexwizard team waitlist, but I`ve never talked to him and don`t know much about him. I suppose he is a very nice guy, just like you. You may introduce him to me later. Or I should pick up the courage to interact with him myself maybe during the Hexwizard tournament. What do you think, Milly? Anyway, I hope you have a great time at the ball with Nick!" After speaking to Milly, Andy smiled at her again, then dive deep into his thought, "Milly is going to the ball with Nick, what would I go to the ball with? I hope it is someone nice like Milly!”

Andy knew Milly wanted to comfort him by saying brown is similar to blue. Seriously, how could brown be similar to blue? He still felt a bit ashamed by mistaking Milly`s eye color, but hearing Milly saying she really don`t mind about it, Andy decided to forget about that, and focus on her question on the ball.
"Honestly, I don`t know who would I go to the ball with. I don`t know any of those people beside you. Maybe I will go to the ball anyway and see who I will walk into. Although you know I`m nervous when I meet people for the first time, I should really try to pick up with courage to do it." Andy explained to Milly.
Then, Andy was surprised by what Milly said next. Did she really think he is going to die? Andy knew there was the tragic death of Cedric Diggory during the Triwizard tournament, so he understood her worries. He understood the tournament can be dangerous, and it could mean life and death, but he also believed the organizer of the tournament will try to minimize its risk after that tragic event. Why did they want to hold the tournament again if all the students participating in it are all going to die?
So, Andy tried to comfort panicked poor Milly, "I understand why you are worrying about me. I know Cedric died from it. Everyone knows that, so does the organizer of the Hexwizard tournament. I believe they will try to minimize the danger after that tournament. Think about it, why do they restart the tournament if they know students are all going to die from it? Still, the tournament is dangerous. But there must be someone brave enough to participate in it. By the way, me and Nick are both on the waitlist, which means we are only going to compete if something really happens to someone in the team. Please, Milly, don`t worry about me, I`ll be OK." Andy smiled at Milly after he tried to comfort the panicked girl, hoping she would feel better that way.

Andy was glad that Amelia comforted him by saying he would find someone at the ball. He did not know at the time he would later find an orange-haired boy named Sherlock and had a short interaction with him at the petting zoo during the ball. Anyway, he was a bit surprised that Amelia did not know about Cedric. Anyway, it is better that she does not know about Cedric. That would make her even more worried about him. "Maybe I should not even mention Cedric." Andy thought with some regret to what he said before. And Amelia thought him has a crush on her? Oh no, maybe he should not compliant her like that. Anyway, that was definitely not true. They are just friends, at least for now.
"Thanks for your kind words, Milly, I believe I will find someone to interact with during the ball. Who knows?" Andy smiled at Amelia, even though he was a bit upset by Milly thinking he has a crush on her, "Anyway, Cedric. It`s better that you don`t know about him, Milly. One thing for sure, he is not from Ilvermorny, and he died years before. It had nothing to do with this particular tournament, that`s for sure. So please don`t ask me more things about that. I should not even mention that. By the way, I DON`T have a crush on you. We are just FRIENDS. I am not angry with you, Milly, let`s just move on. Are you going to see the Hexwizard tournament?" He stressed the words DON`T and FRIENDS, but tried his best to not sound like he is angry. But he did feel a bit upset when he thought of the words Amelia said to him, he might have done something wrong to her, but he did not know exactly what he did wrong.

Andy was shocked when Amelia casted Incendio at him. Honestly, he was not that angry at Amelia, he just felt somewhat annoyed and upset by the fact that Amelia thought he had a crush on him. Since Amelia had already set up the fire, he knew he has to put the fire out as soon as possible before it grew larger and burn themselves. He knew the campgrounds is surrounded by trees and cabins, so it might even burn the trees and cabins (and students in those cabins) if the situation grew out of control. They were both only staying in Hogwarts for less than 20 days, and it was better to not cause any trouble during the stay. Anyway, without much thinking, Andy took out his wand, followed the correct wand movement, and said "Extinguo!", hopefully the fire will be put out.

Oh no, Andy realized he failed to put out the fire! He knew it was smart to do the fire extinguishing spell again before the fire got even larger and they both found themselves in trouble. Alright, again, "Extinguo!"

It`s a success this time! Great, now the fire has been put out, it`s time for Andy to explain the situation and apologize to Amelia, and hopefully he would calm her down. "Milly, I am terribly sorry if I made you angry! I really didn`t mean to be angry at you! I promise I will control my temper better next time! We are still friends, aren`t us? I am just a little upset to find out that you think I have a crush on you. And the Cedric thing, it`s of you good that I don`t tell you the whole thing about that, I don`t want to make you worry about me." Andy petted Milly on the shoulder and apologized to her in a soft voice, hoping it would make Milly feel a little better.

It was a crisp early morning. The ball days ahead, but that didn't mean this was time to slack off, Monica still had a job to do. She was still getting used to patrols, and making sure rules were being followed, but at times found it hard. Only a second year and she has to remember all these do's and don'ts of the school. Things were even crazier with all the foreign students, she thought Hogwarts was full before, now there was hardly any space to get privacy.
As she walked along, making her way to the Camp grounds, she saw a few students out for idle chit-chats, or walks... not a whole lot of activity going on. She paused for a moment, taking in the fresh air, though it held a slight chill to it, was more refreshing than chilly. As she continued on her way however... she heard a faint noise, and turning around she saw fire! In a panic, she rushed towards the scene, luckily the boy that was there, managed to put the flames out before damage was done. Once Monica got closer to the 2 students, she looked at them, seeing that they were either her age or just a year younger (released they didn't seem older than her) She hadn't seen them before... and assumed they might be from other schools, perhaps having to deal with older Hogwarts students would be easier, "Excuse me," She said as she got closer to the duo, "I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but casting spells outside of school work is strictly prohibited..." She shocked herself with the official words that fell out of her mouth, "Would you like to explain to me what is going on here?"

Andy had just managed to put out the fire when a girl with blue hair wearing prefect badge and seemed be at the same age as him found out what they were doing, and there was a risk of getting some punishment. Andy knew they might be in trouble, since the prefect badge means the girl is in charge, so even though he did not know who the girl was, or what school was she from, it`s better to apologize to the girl and explain the situation here.
"Oh, I`m terribly sorry! I know both of us casted spell, which was wrong." Andy pointed his hand to Milly as he explained what just happened and apologized nervously to the girl with an innocent look and a soft voice, "You know, it was Amelia who casted Incendio cos she was angry at me for something. I know the fire could cause some damage to the frees and the students in the campgrounds, so I casted Extinguo to put out the fire before any damage can be caused. I need to put out the fire as soon as possible, and Extinguo is the only solution here. Please forgive me! I really don`t mean to cast spells here! I`m terribly sorry!" "I explained the situation and apologized to the girl. Hopefully I at least can get out of some trouble. Let`s see what happens next." Andy sighed and thought nervously after he explained the solution and apologized to the girl who caught both of them.

It was after Amelia explained the situation to Andy that Andy realized he had done something wrong. He told the truth to the girl in charge but had not thought of that would make Amelia mad. He really did not mean to. The truth or friendship? Actually, Andy values both as important, but at that particular moment, he really just thought of getting himself out of trouble. He had to admit, at this moment, he was indeed, selfish. Now reflecting back, he knew he made the wrong decision. But there was not any regret medicine. It just happened. It was a lesson learned for Andy, and he at least would think twice when he faced the similar situation next time.
"I should have lied by saying I set up the fire and put the fire out to keep Amelia out of trouble, a white lie would at least save our friendship. I know I am a bad liar, but Amelia would at least be less angry hearing me trying to do that. Damn, lesson learned. I know it must be difficult to bring back Amelia`s trust, but maybe I`ll try to do something for her to make her feel better. Amelia must be thinking I am the most selfish person she ever met." Andy thought with so much guilt and stress that he covered his face with his hand, walked a little further from Amelia and the girl who caught them, and secretively began to cry.

Monica finished asking what was going on, wasting no time, the boy spoke out first, laying out the scene for clarity. As she listened, she nearly felt sorry for the girl, if the two were friends, than she had just been thrown under the bus. However if they were in fact enemies, what horrible thing would this girl do to get back at him?
The boy finished, and Monica turned to hear the girl out, "Is that so?" She crossed her arms, waiting for the other side of the story. The girl bit back, claiming Andy, apparently the boy's name, to be a lier. Monica hid a grin that grew on her face, to be honest it wasn't that big of a deal. A quick fire, that was quickly put out, but it was the rules to only use spells for study purposes, and based on what was shared, it was far from what these two were up to.
Monica was just about to open her mouth, to give her 'final judgment' when the girl fessed up to her accusations being a lie... Now this was some interesting development for sure. She submitted to receiving a detention, before stating she didn't know spells couldn't be used outside of class.
Tensions seemed to settle, Monica looked between the two of them, what to do? Finally she spoke up, "I'm going to give you both detention...Unfortunately, rules are rules. And it would seem that this could be a good chance for the two of you to make peace." She took out a small note, "Please give me your names, I shall be sending you an owl with details of serving detention." She felt that in good conscious, she couldn't only let one fall for this. Fact is both cast spells, but second fact was, there was some level of friendship tension... Sometimes serving out punishment together mends a damaged relationship.
