After a long day of slaving away over some homework, a nice walk outside was just what Ciel needed. No bothersome teachers asking if she'd finished her essay yet, nobody assigning fourteen pages of bookwork, just a quiet atmosphere.
She had mostly drowned out the sound of the other students shouting and talking, though she could vaguely make out a conversation happening a few feet away. Ciel didn't care one bit, she was too busy relaxing.
As she sat against a cold stone pillar, her attention was drawn towards the gray rat curled up in one of her hands. He had been shuffling quite a bit, as though he couldn't get comfortable. "What's up, Ginger Ale?" she murmured, moving her hand to be at eye level. At the sound of his name, Ginger Ale looked up at Ciel, beginning to sniff at her face. She scrunched her nose in an attempt to look like him. If only she could wiggle her nose- that would be pretty awesome.
She sat him back down on her lap and looked around in the courtyard. Ciel came out here pretty often, but only to pass. After all, she much preferred to go and walk around the lake or take a stroll near the forest. Occasionally, she could even hear animals and bugs making sounds from the forbidden forest. Oh- what she would give to be able to go in!
"Ginger Ale, you're not a scary creature like a dragon, but I think you're alright!"

As the Gryffindor Prefect walked out of the old medieval castle, she could already feel the cool breeze on her cheek. She closed her eyes, and inhaled deeply, taking in the minty, leaf-rich aroma of autumn. After a long day, Ash finally had the time for herself to relax. Well, this time she brought along her cat, Olive. Ash got to admit, that Olive was really a very lazy cat compare to other cats she encountered in the past. But that was what she loved about her. If Olive were a very frisky kitty, she could imagine how tiresome it would be running after her cat.

The Great Hall was currently crowded with students, so Ash decided to visit the courtyard with Olive, where they could enjoy their peace there. She packed three blueberry muffins in a paper lunch bag, and even brought a small tin of cat food in her pocket in case Olive became hungry. Ash also brought her wizard camera with her to take some nice pictures at the courtyard. Speaking of the wizard camera, it was a surprise gift that was sent by her stepdad. In the letter, he wrote that he learned from her mom that she used to like photography, but no electronic devices could work in the wizarding world. Due to this reason, he bought this wizard camera for her. It was powered by magic instead of electricity, so she would be able to take pictures. She tried it out before, and it worked perfectly like a Polaroid camera.

Once they arrived in the courtyard. Ash watched as the reddish, dry leaves, falling non-stop from the surrounding trees. She quickly used her wizard camera to take a picture of this beautiful autumn moment. She wanted to show her mom and grandma what the courtyard in Hogwarts looked like. When she turned around to look for another angle, she saw a blond girl who was just chilling, siting against the stone pillar alone...or not? Hmm...the girl looked kind of familiar.

Olive noticed a cute little gray rat on the girl's lap, and somehow it got her curious. She went to their direction, then meowing at the girl and her rat a few time, as if she was greeting them. "Olive, wait!", Ash went after her cat and quickly apologized to the girl with a sheepish smile, "Sorry, I guess my cat, Olive just wanted to say hi. I hope we didn't disturb you."

The quiet atmosphere was starting to make Ciel very sleepy. But every time she was just about to nod off, Ginger would find himself wiggling around in her grasp and forcing her to wake up once more. Hmph, it was kind of rude.
Even though the autumn air was luring her into a deep nap, fall was not her favorite season. Ciel favored summer much more, and vaguely wished for the sun to heat the courtyard once more. Once May rolls around though, she'll definitely spend more time outside. Ugh, she was dreading the idea of winter.
Her thoughts had kept her awake long enough to notice a small figure moving towards her. At first, Ciel thought it might've been another student, but soon realized it was not a human at all! In fact, it was a small grey cat- and while it had a lax aura, Ciel was more than aware of what could happen if she didn't move Ginger Ale out of the way. Ginger could become this animal's next snack!
While the kitty didn't seem to have ulterior motives, Ciel stood up anyway. Ginger Ale didn't seem to mind the sudden movement, but as he leaned forward, he became much more interested in the cat.
A young girl walked up; she must've been the owner of the cat. Ciel could've swore she recognized the girl, but she didn't really know anybody from Gryffindor. Jeez, why did she look so familiar?
"Oh yeah, don't worry about it," Ciel didn't mind the cat or the girl- in fact, the kitty looked vaguely like a cat that lived back in the barn. Did her mother name it, yet? "Sorry, but you look really familiar. What's your name?"
