Think about it: what if they don't break up? You'll be seen as the one starting or passing on malicious rumours.

I know this is going to sound harsh, Keith: but just as you were hurt when you found out that he liked a girl, so you have to stand by and watch him, potentially, be hurt as well. You're his friend, and he'll need that friendship for whatever happens after.

One caveat: if he asks you if you know anything or have heard anything, only then should you say anything to him.

Actually two caveats: if you have direct, first hand knowledge of her cheating on him or some other evidence of foul play, then I'd approach him.

I'll keep it to myself for now, but if he does ask, I won't lie to him. And if she does break up with him, I'm going to be there for him, because you're right, he'll need his friends.
