The Untold Story of Charlotte Zhang

Task A: The book was largely based on me as most of the events in this book are similar to what I have experienced, but it is through the eyes of a 17-year-old girl known as Charlotte Zhang, and many details in the story are altered, such as the location. It is set in the 21st century, in Shanghai, China, one of the most modern and high-growing cities in China, with a high economic level. Shanghai is also largely negatively influenced by the pandemic. Basically, Charlotte`s 18th birthday is about to come, and she wants to write a book to reflect the 18 years of her life as an 18-year-old gift to herself. Her stories are also kind of tough, so she decided to write her untold story out in order to inspire others. It is basically the story of a 17-year-old who had ADHD until she was 13, was suspended from school for disruptive behavior in her former primary school, was bullied physically until she was 15, had went to a state primary, then transferred to a public school where she spent 5 years, and then went to an international high school. It is the story of being suddenly hit by the pandemic in 2020, and never know when it will finish. It is a story of growing up and improving oneself. It is the story she never told to others, and she felt pain even remembering it. It is the story ongoing, the story of the life of a both unfortunate and fortunate girl who is just about to turn into an adult. It is the story for a girl who never know what will happen in the future but is not afraid to dream big and dare to reveal her inner scars. It is the story of me through the narrative of this girl named Charlotte Zhang.

Task B: Charlotte Zhang was born on a rainy day on November 12th, 2004, in a hospital in Shanghai, China. That`s why the middle character in her real Chinese name is Rain in Chinese.
