It was Saturday, but Pax hadn't wanted to get up. Everybody was excited about all the activities that they would be doing, but what Natalya had shown her yesterday was still nagging at her. Why would her mother need to be put under house arrest? Why were her parents caught with dangerous items? What were dad and his brother talking about over the phone? That last one had especially intrigued Pax. Much of their conversation had been in German, which Pax wasn't fluent in, so she would decode their conversation on Google Translate...that is, if she could access her laptop with all the activities taking up her time. She climbed the ladder to the top bunk of her 3-bed bunk bed and pulled her laptop out of her bag. She put in her password and got to work. Until Pomona came and slapped the laptop shut right in Pax's face. "Pomona!" She yelled angrily. Pomona gave her an innocent expression. "Who are you raising your voice at? The point of camp is to do stuff, not be glued to a screen all day!" Then she added, "Unless you're in tech or something like that, but you aren't, so come on!" Pax sighed and reluctantly climbed down. "Alright Professor Sprout, what are we doing today? Gardening?" 'Professor Sprout' was Pax and Callista's nickname for Pomona, as she shared a name with the well-known Harry Potter character. Funnily enough, Pomona actually quite liked plants. "No," said Pomona. "Instead...we are playing D&D!" "Wha?" "You know, that geeky fantasy roleplaying that everybody loves..." "Oh, that one. And by the way, Professor Sprout, D&D isn't geeky! You've never even played it!" "Yeah, but my 2nd oldest older brother's friend has. He thinks it's geeky." Pax rolled her eyes. Pomona had grown up with 4 brothers, her being the only girl, so when she was younger, she picked up a lot of ideas from them. She still does it now, apparently. The two girls went outside their cabin and headed to the games tent, where Ms. Proudfoot, the game director, was spreading out different character sheets. They all said different things: Spellslinger, Divine, Flake, etc. Pomona blew out her lips like an annoyed horse and looked at the character sheets. "I'ma save the Flake for Callista, but I might as well be a Divine. Wait, I get a flaming sword and wings?! Cool!" Pax rolled her eyes and smiled. The game hadn't even started, and Pomona liked it all ready. And just several minutes ago, she had called it geeky! Funny how things work at Camp Everything!

Doctrine told of a once perfect place, bright and beautiful, full of potential, where man was to "be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on earth," according to Genesis 1:28. This Terrestrial Paradise flowed with lush vegetation as well as domestic and wild animals. The Garden of Eden was peace and perfection, at least for a duration of time.

The people of Aberlan took Kieran Shaw in as their pastor, and with that he bared the responsibility of helping them accomplish religious goodness. But there was a driving force in him to achieve more. The Lord's Prayer contains the words "your kingdom come...on earth as it is in heaven," in Matthew 6:10. Would be be wrong of a vampire, cursed with eternal life, to entertain the thought of a coexistence of both a Christian utopia and a vampire utopia - creating the perfect society of a brighter future of moral excellence and tranquil living for all?

He could mold Aberlan into a tribute to God, a new Garden of Eden, to show that humanity (and his kind alike) can do better; can achieve better; and also to demonstrate loyalty to God. Aberlan could become an ideal place where humanity reaches its full potential - becoming a place of purity, innocence, hope.

The sun had slipped past the horizon hours ago, now allowing darkness to blanket the village of Aberlan on that crisp, pleasantly dry and cold Autumn. It was in those late hours that Kieran Shaw could walk freely around his land, ensuring that all was in order. He had made great plans for Aberlan; labor was communally organized, merriment was encouraged to avoid boredom, skills were taught to its inhabitants, and everyone shared a vision of their society; working together in peace and harmony.

Living pure lives, the inhabitants followed a path of Christianity - one in which they surely would be granted acceptance into Heaven with their mortal souls. Envious, Kieran didn't like walking among them, and it was his hope that someday they would be self governed enough that he wouldn't have to. As much as he envied them for presumably getting into Heaven, he knew that he needed them. They were the intelligent livestock of Aberlan - willingly providing nourishment of blood, offering empowerment, and potentially offering the service of of being a faithful messenger.

"Those people took you in as their priest," Bellamy said as they arrived back to the castle, "and yet I feel you're attempting to attain more than caring for the spiritual life of these people. You should be administering sacraments and absolving men of their sins through confession. It is a selfless profession and yet you take and you take and you take."

Kieran turned to his friend, fixating a cold gaze upon him. "The people have taken me in as their priest and I give and I give and I give. To you as well, Bellamy. If you are ungrateful or unappreciative, you need not my permission to leave. It will be welcomed. The people of Aberlan know where their loyalties lie, unfathomably. Where do yours lie, friend?" The last part was said as cold as the stare and Kieran Shaw began to slip further into that darkness - not that which was the late Autumn night hour but the blackness of his own deprivation.

Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)

Every morning, not only this one, yes, every morning I awake at 7:00 AM, if a mere minute to late my day will be ruined. Anyways, every morning, I awake at 7:00 AM. I get dressed, brush my teeth, comb my hair, and wash my face. At exactly 7:30 AM, I precisely measure 2 ounces granola. After I eat I clean my home, first the counters and tables, second clean up cobwebs, third organize my objects, everything must be in it's rightful place, last bleach the floors. As always it is now 8:30 AM, perfect! Just magnificent! I straighten my tie, grab my coat and hat and head off for the day. I count every step I take from the moment I wake up, I am now at 2,000, perfect!
I finish my work and head to the groceries, I have a very specific list and schedule. It it 4:15 PM I must be home at 5:00 PM. It is not easy being me, I continue to count my steps, I have taken into account the groceries and adjusted my steps to them. The groceries have always been the same, everything in there rightful place.... Until they weren't I counted my steps to the bread aisle, they weren't there, my breath started to quicken. Where is the bread? Instead of the most delectable goods I found soaps and detergent.
My eyebrows knit together as my head spun and throbbed. I looked around erratically, I started walking, my steps becoming more in number, until I found it the bread aisle which was across the whole store on the other side. I frowned, they had decided to move it for the convenience of the customers and aesthetics. But for me it was not at all convenient. I walked over to my favorite bread already on edge due to the previous events. When I was reaching I noticed that it was on sale in big red letters it said, NOW $8.99! It was always $9.99, it fit with my payment, and why was 8 red? My blood boiled and my teeth clenched, 8 was always supposed to be blue, not yellow, not orange, and especially not RED! Only BLUE! Whatever happened next was a blur, all I could remember was people screaming and a loud crashing sound that stung my ears. And sirens...
I sat alone in a room at a small silver table, my steps had gone over their usual amount, I had a headache as my breath quickened. The door on the right opened, and in came a police officer, they sat across from me at the table. The let out a heaving sigh, we sat in a awkward silence as he looked me up and down itching his brunette mustache. He leaned his elbows on the table leaning closer to look in my eyes.
"Why did you destroy the bread display?"
There was a long silence as I thought. I thought of my words carefully and meticulously. I opened my mouth to speak these words,
"The 8 was red."

per normal Ace did his morning routine. Brushed his hair and teeth, used mouth was. Washed his face, that like the rest of his body was covered in freckles. You know the deal. After he did everything, and ate his amazing breakfast made by his father. It was time to begin his day.

As it was the weekend he didn't have much to do. He had some homework, but other then that he was free to do what he liked! Earlier in the week his mother had asked him to help out with her girl scout troop that his little sister was is as well, so he had to do that today. Ace took a look at his watch, seeing that the time was 8:15 he had 15 minutes before he had to go.

What did he do with this time? Practice. He went to the backyard, picked up his beat up and well used volleyball, and tossed it into the air. It was an underhand toss, and went straight up. Ace's eyes tracked it as it fell right to were his hands were resting. Above his forehead, slightly curved, right and left thumbs touching, as well as his pointer fingers, creating a triangle, as the ball fell into his hands, Ace extended his arms right forward sending the ball in the air. It would land in the general area of were the outside hitter would be. "damn. Still not perfect." he muttered.

He would do this until his mother called him to go help with her meting. It was simple. He just had to keep the kids under control. He got all the normal comments that he got whenever he helped. "are you a girl? why are you here if your not a girl" To witch he gave his normal eye roll and response "why are you here if your just going to complain?" This got them to shut up. That lasted about an hour. When he got home he practiced some more. before watching a movie on Netflix, his choice today would be the smurfs, He found clumsy absolutely hilarious.

After his movie he had some lunch, then a nap. Finely dinner. A normal day. Soon after he would wind down for bed, taking a shower. Putting on his pajama pants, this time ones that had some buffalos on them. He brushed his with the strawberry tooth paste, and got into bed.

Week 2 Prompt

Write a day in the life in your setting. This could be from your character’s perspective, or from a random NPC’s.
Finally, it was Friday. Finally, it was the last school day of the week, and because Charlotte has a doctor appointment that afternoon, she could leave school at 1 pm and skip the English class, which she just did not want to attend. Her mum also allowed her to visit the shopping mall after the doctor`s appointment to help her release some stress from the busy school day. The only requirement was Charlotte must arrive home for dinner, because there would be a feast for the dinner. Charlotte has had an extremely long 7-day week, because she also had to attend school on the weekend to compensate for the 7-day holiday she just had. She just could not wait to go home. She got up from her bed in her dorm room at 6:20 when the alarm clock of one of her dormmates rang and woke her up. She got dressed, did her daily cleaning which include brushing her teeth, washing her face and combing her hair, made her bed, and cleaned her dorm with her dormmate, then she took her suitcase to put in the required place and had breakfast in the school dining hall, which include bread, fried eggs, and some milk.

After 5 classes and the morning exercise between the second and third class, it was already 12 o-clock, so Charlotte went to the school dining hall again to have her lunch, some rice, some meat and tofu. She also bought a bottle of yogurt and some fruits from the school shop after lunch, then she went back to the classroom to lay on her table and take a nap. It was finally 1 pm, she quickly took her suitcase and ran to the school gate, where her mum is just there waiting for her in the car. The hospital was a 1-hour car trip, but the doctor appointment only took about 30 minutes. It was finally time to take the subway and go to the shopping mall to buy some clothes and food!

Charlotte took the subway for about 20 minutes, then walked for 5 minutes to the shopping wall. She bought herself some fried chicken and an ice-cream as a treat for working so hard during the weekday. She also bought herself a new sweater and new pants to wear for the autumn season. She knew she prefer comfortable clothes but did not realize she prefer the oversize style. She also bought a book to read during the weekend.

After shopping for 4 hours, Charlotte took the subway home, and found out her mum had finishing cooking the feast. It was hot pot. The dish was so delicious that she did not realize she had eaten too much. After dinner, Charlotte watched TV for a few hours, then went to bed.

Thyme missed her mother sometimes, but she knew she was doing the right thing following the direction of her goddess to defend the defenseless. Even if it did mean it was her and mom's job to maintain the home with her gone, and mother was always so much better at it.

Their home was on the edge of town, roughly a ten minute canter to the temple where much of the town worked, and the reason it was built at all. For some unknown reason, Harvest herself decided this little town in the southern part of the continent was where she'd chosen to make her home. This was a quietly kept secret, where they'd tell those that asked where to find her, but they would not advertise the goddess's location. This did mean that they had some of the most successful production in all of the continent, only outdone by the old fae's wild growths owned by experienced hands for hundreds of years.

While the town itself didn't have many houses in it, the sprawling personal gardens between each home made the town seem much larger than it was. Each garden had a mixture of carefully cultivated flowers and laden vegetables and fruits, and it was the pride of the each person that lived there. Thyme woke just after dawn, whenever her body wished since it was summer growing and beyond the watering and maintenance there wasn't much to do. Seeing as she hadn't inherited her mom's druidism or her mother's steadfast devotion that led itself to her power, she had much less to do.

She was still a colt, and although she was only a couple years from being an adult, it also helped her lack of work around town. When she wasn't attending school, she'd gotten a job as a temple runner at her mother's insistence. She enjoyed the work, and seeing as she hadn't gotten her mother's bulk and had instead gotten her mom's long legs and sleek speed, she'd agreed. That was where she was going now, waving to the centaurs and satyrs she passed on the street at a relaxed trot. The templars weren't that picky about when she got there, as long as she had the time to do her work. On days where she was needed earlier they would send a messenger in the form of a bird or some other critter to come get her.

Once she got there she set to work, chatting quietly with the handsome centaur arranging flowers in the entryway and donning her vest and saddlebags, preparing to deliver the packages to and from the temple. She'd do this until everyone gathered for the evening meal, at which point she'd return home with her mom.

Week 2: Write a day in the life in your setting. This could be from your character’s perspective, or from a random NPC’s.
Mr. Maple began his rounds. It was Tuesday, and it was the ninth of October. He used that information to calculate his route. If he did the same route every day, the students would learn his movements, and he would never be able to catch them by surprise. However, if he let himself "randomly" walk around the corridors and the grounds, he might subconsciously follow a pattern that was recognizable by others. No, he kept himself on task and elusive by using the day of the week, the date, and the month to choose between one of the ninety options he had created.

Today he was started at the auditorium. He took the outside path through the parking lot to get there. It was good to check the parking lot during first hour to ensure no students were skipping class in their cars, engaging in uncouth activities.

It was a brisk October morning. The sun hardly had time yet to rise, and there was a blue filter over the school grounds. The air was dewy, and it smelled like fall. And it was quiet. No humans in sight among the empty cars. As it should be. Mr. Maple nodded to himself. The trouble-making didn't really start until Halloween or after Thanksgiving break. The beginning of the school year was a peaceful time for him when he could walk around, remember past lives and ruminate on past regrets.

As he was about to turn the corner to the backside of the building, his ears suddenly became attuned to teen voices. His posture stiffened, and he readied himself for what he might find—it was probably nothing, just kids playing hooky, but he vowed never to be caught off guard again, not after the Great Hog Incident of 2007.

But it was just the marching band, being led out by the band director to the football field. Yes, that's right they practiced outside when the weather allowed. Homecoming was fast approaching. Mr. Maple made eye contact with the band director, raising his arm slowly in a wave. The director returned it with a nod.

As the boisterous band shuffled into the distance, Mr. Maple pulled open the small door that led backstage to the auditorium. He knew Ms. Paine wasn't having her theater students rehearse today, so the place should be empty.

"Laurie! Laurie! Come back!" A screeching voice echoed through the high rafters.

It was coming from the center of the stage. Without thinking, Mr. Maple jogged through the sea of curtains, but he found no one. He looked around frantically. The auditorium's lights were off; it was too dark to see if the student or students who made the ruckus were now the in house seats. But he would have to them bolt, surely. And hadn't the lights been on when he walked in? Mr. Maple couldn't remember. The sound of the voice had alerted him as soon as he walked through the door. And now it was eerily quiet, so silent it seemed impossible that any noise could be made at all.
