Tea Sampling
Sirin's heart pounded with excitement. Recently, she had started up a club: The Tea Drinkers club. Already, there had been many students, first year and above, who'd signed up for it. Today marked a momentous occasion: the first meet of the club. First impressions always leave an everlasting mark: and Sirin intended to make this first meeting perfect. Since the focus of the club was to discuss and share all sorts of tea, Sirin decided that for the first meeting, the group would sample Jasmine tea. Jasmine tea is known for its fragrance, in Chinese it is 茉莉花茶 jasmine tea and generally uses green tea as its base. The result is a highly vagrant and subtly sweet tea. It was one of Sirin's personal favorites---just smelling it's saccharine aroma worked wonders on Sirin's mood. Whenever Sirin was faced with stress, Jasmine tea would always be her stress reliever. Earlier in the day Sirin had sent out an owl to all club members:
Dear Tea Drinkers club members,
I hope this owl finds you all in good health. Today marks the day of the first meeting, and I look forward to meeting everyone! Some of you, I am acquainted with, while others I have yet to meet. For today's discussion, I'd like for you all to bring your favorite kind of tea! We'll be sampling all kinds of tea, and I'd love to learn more about you're favorites! We'll also be discussing the latest news at Hogwarts (as the old adage goes, "spill the tea!"). Please meet me at the outdoor club area at noon. Hope to see you all soon!

She would write those words a thousand times only to erase them a thousand times again.
Letting her mind wander, Sirin focused on setting up the tea: she'd packed it all in a thermos, as well as a couple of tea bags. She'd managed to grab a couple of tea cups and a kettle (it took a while to convince the elves to trust her) with the promise of bringing it all back in one piece. Along with the tea, Sirin had also packed a couple of desserts: scones and cookies. Tea just wasn't the same without something dry to accompany it. As Sirin waited, she also remembered the books she'd packed--that was why her bag was so heavy. She took out "Hogwarts: A history" and began reading, patiently waiting for the others to arrive while listening to the melodies of the sparrows.

I had recently joined a club called the Tea Drinker's Club(who knew there was a club for that?), and today was the first meeting. I was told to bring my favorite type of tea in the letter sent to me, so I rummaged around in my trunk(which still wasn't fully unpacked)and found a bag with tea bags inside. Nanny loves tea, and whenever I visited, she would always make a cup of tea for us, for she preferred tea more than coffee. She had insisted that I brought tea with me, just in case I was going to need it. At first, I thought that that was all kinds of crazy, because what would I need to bring tea for? Now, I'm so glad I brought some! I picked out chai(not chai tea), a tea that a girl in muggle school had told me all about. I had tried it, and it tasted delicious. It was also a little spicy because of all the pepper you put in it. I still thought it was delicious though. It tastes kind of sweet because of all the stuff you put in it, like cinnamon sticks and milk. I wandered across the grounds aimlessly until I somehow managed to stumble upon the outdoor club area. There, I found a girl reading "Hogwarts: A History". The things were all laid out: tea cups, a kettle, and desserts. I hurried over to her and introduced myself. "Uh, hi? I'm Aurora, I'm here for the Tea Drinkers meeting?" I waited for her answer, but not before adding, "You can call me Ro, by the way."

Tea Sampling
Rebecca had been surprised when he sat down for breakfast in the great hall when a massive grey owl dropped off a note addressed to him from a name he didn't recognize.
He reread it several times, the words not quite clicking until he remembered that he had signed up for a tea club earlier in the month. He'd thought it was purely a gossipping circle, and his face flushed a little in embarrassment for misunderstanding the entirely literal premise. Well... there was no harm in still going. Even if truthfully he knew very little about tea beyond 'tastes good when you add sugar.'
The note had instructed members bring their favorite kind of tea, so Rebecca snagged a handful of teabags from a nearby platter and pocketed them for later.
A bit before noon, Rebecca walked the path leading from the castle to the outdoor club area. It was there that he came across a couple of girls sitting before a decadent spread of cups, teapots, and sweets. It made a rather tempting sight, and Rebecca privately thanked himself for the decision to attend-- even if it had been a bit more unexpected than he had intially anticipated. The two girls, a Ravenclaw and a Hufflepuff that seemed to be around his own age, were already chatting as he walked up to join them.
"Sorry if I'm a little early to the meeting," he apologized with a grin. "My name's Rebecca, pleasure to meet you."

People were starting to file in, and Sirin's excitement grew. She put down her book to address the crew.
"Hey Aurora! Hey Rebecca! It's so nice to meet you both, com take a seat! Just try not to eat the pastries until everyone else arrives!
Sirin continued to set up some decorations. A couple streamers and maybe a banner would help people locate the club meeting location--but that seemed a bit extreme.
"So...what kind(s) of tea have you two brought today? I've prepared Jasmine tea for the whole club. "
As she made the finishing touches, she gestured at the picnic mat, inviting Rebecca and Aurora to take a seat. She fished out the stack of books from her bag and set them down with a loud thump on the ground.
"Help yourself with some books! If you've brought teabags, I'm not sure how you'd prepare the tea but I've brought a kettle."
Sirin motioned towards the little kettle she'd set down earlier. Hopefully, the crew would have the tea all set up and ready for the others when they arrived. Sirin was particularly nervous about the older years--what would they think of her club?

The ravenclaw girl stood up as Rebecca introduced himself and addressed the other first year as well to welcome them.
He watched the girl-- probably Sirin, the founder of the club-- busy herself by putting up various decorative touches. He had half a mind to offer to help in some way when she asked,

Rebecca internally floundered for a second. Oh God. These were professionals. "Jasmine sounds delightful!" he said cheerfully, not letting his nervousness show on his face. "I haven't brought anything quite so special, just some classic black tea can't go wrong, right?""So...what kinds of tea have you two brought today? I've prepared Jasmine tea for the whole club."
He took a seat where Sirin had pointed him.

Beatrice hurried up the stairs, rolling her eyes and groaning at the stupidly large amount of stairs. She likes the Slytherin common room but did it really have to be in the Dungeons? It would have been much easier if it were somewhere further up. Although then they wouldn't have the great view under the great lake, that no one else could see.
Earlier this week she had joined the Tea Drinkers club. She wasn't too sure why she did so but she liked tea and kind of missed the daily tea times in her Home were she would eat different little sandwiches and pastries with her siblings. That was somehow one of the only things she missed.
She finally made it to the Club meeting, at least she thought it was the right place, what did the letter say again?
Beatrice took a deep breath before gently knocking on the door. She felt like she was a bit late and wasn't sure what to do. No one answered so she pushed the door open, seeing three people that were standing or sitting in the room. They all turned to look at her. She stood there as the door closed behind her.
»Uhm, Hello? I'm Beatrice. Is this the Tea Drinkers Club?« She was suddenly hyper aware of kettle with lemon - ginger tea in her hands. It was still boiling hot and the only thing that needed to be done was add a little bit of honey, which she held in her hands as well.

Sirin was pleased to see so many new people show up. New friends!
"So, first order of business! Let's take attendance: We have Aurora....Check! Rebecca...check! And Beatrice..also here! It seems we're missing quite a few people: EmmaLee, Kayla, Kim, Bailey, Wynn....eh, I'm too lazy to count. Hopefully, they'll arrive soon. Anyways, thanks for coming! And so nice to meet you too, Rebecca!"
What a mouthful---Sirin had never talked so much in her life--especially to people she'd never known. Oh well---she was born outgoing, and would likely stay that way. She picked up the kettle and distributed the Jasmine tea to all the tea cups.
"I don't want this club to feel like a class or anything, but I think we should all introduce ourselves and our tea---like why we brought it or why this tea is our favorite! I'll go first."
Sirin took a pause and then continued.
"My name is Sirin, as you all probably know by now, haha. I'm a first year Ravenclaw--a new student at Hogwarts just like you all! Enough about me.
Jasmine tea is known for its fragrance and subtle sweetness. I chose it because it is the tea that my mother made the most. In fact, Jasmine flowers were her favorites, and she'd often sing an old Chinese 'folk song' called "mo li hua." To me, Jasmine tea has a great symbolic significance in my heart."
Damn, Sirin. You really like to talk. Blushing, Sirin waited for the next person to go.

He remembered her carrying a ton of bags and other things at the time. She'd also been searching for an open compartment to settle into. Kim had helped her out by getting one of the Ravenclaw prefects to help her find one. The best Claw prefect in his opinion that he'd met so far, Samantha Salwis. Sirin had seemed quite nice and he'd been interested in getting to know her a lot better. The next time they'd met had been when Opeila had collapsed, not a great way to reunite, and in fact he hadn't recognized her back then. He'd only realized who she'd been later. Once Opeila had been taken away by the nurse. Kim had noticed the bulletin about the Tea Drinkers Club soon afterward and had decided to join to learn more able tea see what kinds were offered. He wasn't much of a tea drinker and preferred coffee, specifically Americano. Yes, it was a muggle drink but it was a rather addicting muggle drink. Of course, Kim also liked wizard drinks too. When it came to food and refreshments he liked a variety of them. Anything that didn't have cherry or fake grape flavor, he'd try at least once. So he was looking forward to this. The meeting was being held at the outdoor club area. As for the time, the owl had stated it would be around 12 noon, which was perfect for someone like him. Not an early bird, Kim preferred to get up at around 11AM on the weekends but lately his body had gotten used to 10AM for some reason. Okay, not for just 'some reason', mostly this had to do with Noah's attempts to get a rise out of him. Annoying bugger, that was to be sure. But Kim missed his presence. But he hoped one day the boy would return to Hogwarts again. Puffie rode on his shoulder, insisting that he come along and Kim was carrying his satchel with him. Not the enchanted one but the one he'd had from day one. It had sentimental value, so he still used it a bit. Inside were a bunch of chocolate frog boxes, two quills, an inkwell, some parchment paper, his sketchbook, and a medium sized container filled with savory garlic-butter biscuits he'd made earlier. Kim figured that if he was going to a tea meeting, there would be tea served. And what went awesome with tea? Some type of savory or sweet biscuits! Since he'd noticed Bailey's name on the roster, he suspected she might bring something sweet and so the natural pairing would be for him to bring something savory to compliment her sweet! So that was what he had done. Running into Bailey at the castle doors, he gave her a smile. "Heading to the Tea Drinkers meeting too? Want to go together?" Kim asked. Puffie squeaked out a greeting to the girl and rolled from side to side on Kim's shoulder, his bright eyes gazing at Bailey from his current position. When Kim reached the aforementioned place the Tea Drinkers were supposed to be having their meeting, he glanced around the area. There were already a few people there but thankfully not too many, which made him feel a bit more at ease. From what he could see there were only three girls there, along with Sirin who would make it four of them. Four members wasn't too bad, he could handle it. Plus they were outside too. So if needed, he could just break away for a bit, and not feel too bad about doing so. Kim raised a hand into the air as he drew closer to the group and gave his usual trademark greeting to them. "Yo!" He reached into his satchel and produced the container with the garlic-butter biscuits and set it down next to the scones, cookies and tea kettles that were already there. Kim noticed some tea packets too that probably would require boiling water. "I brought some garlic-butter biscuits instead of tea because I don't usually drink tea. But I thought I'd join the club to learn more about it and sample the different types of tea here." "Hope that's ok. Also, if you need boiling water, I can always use Incendio and help you out there." He volunteered and Puffie squeaked on top of his shoulder, looking at everyone from his current vantage point on top of Kim's shoulder. The orange haired boy glanced up at the pink pygmy puff and gave him a slight smile. He reached up and pet Puffie before looking back over at those gathered together. "Any tea you'd recommend I try first?" Kim asked, curious. The boy's wand was inside his pocket, along with a few pygmy treats for his lovely pet. ────────────────────── ㅤ ㅤ──────────────────────

Daphne had joined yet another club, surprisingly being able to keep up with her classes and other clubs. Her mother would be so happy to know that she was getting out more! She had gotten an owl with the details, making her way over to the location where the first meeting would be held. Her head naturally was down, the girl remaining quiet as she reached the club area. Daphne had brought only two tea bags which her mother had sent to her via an Owl. She never expected to use it due to the various drinks in the Great Hall but it finally came in handy! Being wealthy, her mother had of course given her an expensive tea. The first was Tieguanyin tea, an oolong tea that originated in China. However, it was pretty common to find in the United Kingdom nowadays. While Daphne didn't know, it was around 1,000+ british pounds per pound (tea leaves) which her mother had separated into tea bags. This specific one tasted honey and nutty rather than bitter. The second was a Masala Chai Tea which was an Indian tea that tasted like cinnamon and ginger in the case that the first was too strong for her. Daphne smiled at everyone and took a seat on the picnic blanket, instinctively eyeing the sweets.

Tea Sampling
Waking up, Bailey got dressed and headed to the kitchen.
She whipped up a quick batch of shortbread biscuits, some afternoon tea sandwiches, and a platter of Gougères, a light airy bread roll with cheese in it.
She crossed her fingers, hoping Kim didn’t bring the same thing. They both liked to cook, and she had seen his name on the roster, unsurprisingly. They both seemed to be in a majority of the clubs at Hogwarts.
Grabbing her platters of food, Bailey balanced them and headed back to her dorm to change real quick and get her bag.
Pulling on her brown turtleneck, black jeans, black boots and black blazer, Bailey swung her bag over her shoulder. It held her notebooks, one for notes and one for food designs, her wand, and her box of peppermint tea leaves she and her mum had grown in their garden.
Heading to the Outdoor Club area, Bailey saw Kim at the castle doors. Smiling at him, she didn’t hug him like she usually did- her arms were full of platters. When he asked if she was heading to the Meeting, and if she wanted to go with him, she smiled and said
“Yes and sure! I’d love to. Then there’s someone to catch me if I trip- hehe we both know I’m clumsy at times.”
They walked together to the meeting, and when they arrived Kim mentioned what he brought and that he could boil the water if needed.
Bailey seconded that, saying “Yes, hello! My name is Bailey Glade, though most of you probably know me or know of me by now! I brought some peppermint tea leaves that I grew and dried at home, along with some shortbread biscuits, some afternoon tea sandwiches, and a platter of Gougères, which is a light airy bread roll with cheese in it. I hope you don’t mind, and if needed I can help boil water too!”
