There's no other way to make money fast on HiO.

You can get money from errands whenever they are up if they offer it as a reward.

If your House wins the House Cup, you usually get some kind of reward. You can sell your rewards if they aren't money for money. If it's money, well there's your money.

Also, if you collect chocolate frog cards, if there are duplicate cards you can sell those for money!

Oh, I forgot. If you're a prefect or a captain on a sports team you also get paid extra money for them. Also if you are part of the Hogwarts Headliner you get paid money. And if you become a mentor you make money for each mentee you successfully complete mentoring.

But in general, you can't make money fast on HiO unless it's from the daily scholarship or selling banners that you make for others. Unless you have a position like one of the ones I said above.

Like anyone has a CHANCE (however low it is or however long you might have to wait) to become a prefect, captain of a sports team, be part of the Headliner, be on the winning House Cup of the month, sell chocolate frogs, do errands or be a mentor. But if you aren't accepted as a part-Goblin within 1 month of joining HiO you can NEVER become one. Therefore, it wasn't included in the list of how to make $ since not everyone can benefit from it. The ones I listed, everyone can benefit at some point.

Well at least have a CHANCE to benefit from them.

Ah, thanks Kim! Ravenclaw recently own the cup but I'm not sure there is a necessarily reward.

The top three overall earners of September will be given a broom of their choice (worth up to 22 Galleons) to use as they want. All students of the winning house who have earned their house a minimum of 17 house points will be given 10 galleons.

(Those who qualify for both will get a broom of their choice (up to 22 galleons) and 10 galleons - or a broom up to 32 galleons).

So yes, you should have gotten 10 galleons for winning the House Cup as long as you earned your House 17 hp during that month. All you have to do to get those points is to vote every single day from the notification in your remembrall and you'll get a total of at least 20 hp every month.
