Everyone seemed ready to make up for the last round, and they all came to bite back twice as hard. Whatever had seemed to befall Elliot was gone as he pointed his wand at Robert. As he incanted and waved his wand, Elliot would feel an extra surge of power rush through him as a mighty roar erupted from the tip of his wand, sending flames in Robert’s direction. His flame wasn’t the only one headed toward the Ravenclaw as it was joined by Elsa’s own fire stream, engulfing Robert and sticking to his clothes like glue.
Only two targets had been chosen this round and the second victim was Elsa. Dealla and Robert levied their wands at her, ready to take her out of the race. A wind storm and a stream of flames paired through the air and headed straight for the Gryffindor hitting her square. Violent winds whipped her hair around her face taking some of the fire with it while the rest clung to her clothes, eating away at the fabric like moths. Santario watched the Gryffindor closely; she had taken a lot of hits this duel, and she wasn’t looking too good. San reckoned Elsa was standing on her last legs as her hand tightened around her wand, ready to intervene any second.

Nicky grinned and raised an eyebrow at Robert.
"When did any of my spells hit?"
A perfect flame appeared at the tip of her wand and engulfed Robert in a cloud of fire and smoke.
"Just now!"
And then she herself was hit by fire and winced in pain. That was definitely not what she was expecting would happen but at least she hit something.

@Dealla PrinceIF anyone in the audience were to hear a ding like that of a rigged county fair machine finally granting, that would be another point being added to the evidence board of Elliot Bexley being an Elmo clone gone wrong. It was improbable, yes, but improbable also described the fact that he was standing in the middle of a stadium trash-talking someone who could send a typhoon at him with a moment’s notice, so he was ready to bring the fire of the game back and serve his most esteemed Sesame Street master.
“Ilvermorny would appreciate you more,” he claimed with a wholly virtuous smile. “But also you’re doing terrible.”
Suffice it to say in the face of another lion burned alive, Dealla Prince was not doing terrible. Their collective lapse into unbelievably intense mental debate about the qualms associated with the act of using plastic straws versus the most dreadful trials and tribulations that came with a taste bud blindly meeting a tube of pure paper had come to an end, obviously, and though the subject was among many that he planned to make sure the American nation addressed during his future career as a professional duelist/vintage Nintendo catalogue collector/ridiculously long sentence creator, for now he needed to make sure that her sonnet hadn’t been some modified, ultra-powerful variant of Mimblewimble. She may have scraped past the dingy ditch of terrible performance, but he was going to out-terrible her by a mile. But in the opposite direction, like how two negatives made a positive and the quadrant of the scale curved around the integral integers of a grid.
Suffice it to say in the face of her partner being doubly burned alive, Elliot Bexley was also not doing terrible. He was glad that Elsa–oh Disney corporate gods, the lost pun potential would haunt him forever–had, unintentional as it may have been, helped him fulfil the double Incendio he’d so flubbed at the beginning. Maybe she was secretly on Manuela’s side, having been an exchange student at Castelobruxo years ago and forming the closest friendship of her life with the girl before being tragically torn apart by fate and the fact that Brazilian weather would probably cook up anyone from Ye Olde Kingdom in half a second.
He then considered that not everything revolved around him gyrating between runner-up and ultimate victor in one of many summer tournament matches and that she was likely just trying to make the best of her well-done situation. Suddenly, he was not able to consider anything else other than how cool it would be to trample into wherever the clinic-type tent thing was with a burning chariot.

Robert grimaced as his robes burst into flame. By this point he'd grown used to the pain associated with blunt force, but he doubted he'd ever get used to the feeling of being slowly roasted alive. However, he couldn't help but feel he'd brought this upon himself with his comment to Nicky. "Yeah yeah, no need to seem so smug about it," he replied with an overly dramatic sigh.
His frown quickly turned upside down as he saw his own spell connect. There was always something about shared pain that made your own experiences easier to handle. "Actually never mind, looks like you need something to be smug about," he added with a cheeky grin. "Feel free to use my pain for your own pleasure."

Her grand lamentations about the lack of recognition she was receiving her got a surprising amount of reaction from both allies and enemies, and Dee blinked, then grinned at her partner. "Aww, thanks, Rob! I appreciate you, too." Why couldn't everyone be more like him? Nice and polite and immediately ready to bolster her ego when she whined a little?
Thankfully, most of the time her ego was rather sturdy and didn't need much bolstering, and as such, Elliot's remark only received a sniff. "Is that so?" she asked cheerfully. "I mean, I wouldn't say today is my best performance, but why bring my best game if this is enough to beat you?"

This would be another one of those interesting rounds where luck just wasn’t on the side of those casting. Robert correctly identified that he would be the target of his enemy’s ire and observed their movements closely, ready to anticipate where they would strike despite the flames still burning across his skin. Elliot took aim at Robert, and with a loud crack, a black cloth shot out from his wand flying with the intent of its caster. However, his opponent was ready, and Rober sidestepped the blindfold letting it land harmlessly on the ground behind him.
Elsa also pointed her wand at Robert and incanted Incendio Duo. Her wand hand appeared to have a mind of its own, and the roaring flame angled toward Elliot instead. The flames on Elsa would take their final bite at her before dying out, leaving burned flesh and eaten clothes behind. Elliot would prove adept at expecting the unexpected as the impressive fire show roared his way. He would easily sidestep it. Dealla was ready to knock another opponent out with a well-cast Flipendo at Elsa. The remaining Gryffindor had other plans; somehow, knowing where Dealla was going to cast, she made sure she was well clear of the blazing blue light.

Whatever roll Dee had been on at the beginning of the duel must have hit a rocky patch and was slowly but surely coming to a stop. "Son of a flobberworm!" she cursed when her next spell didn't hit Elsa either, although she'd had all the time and space to focus and aim. The girl was just too slippery.
At least Robert was doing a decent job dodging incoming attacks, and Dee gave him a thumbs-up, suddenly a lot more tense than she'd be a few minutes ago. "Nice going, Rob! Maybe you don't need that extra practice after all."
Bouncing from one foot to the other, she surveyed the field. They were still the strongest team in the match, but in between her last few spells, it had definitely taken a turn for the worse.

VIDEO games never failed to outdo legitimate contests in the nitro-narcissism department, but somewhere along the line of fraudulent Adobe Flash websites had Elliot decided that button mashing and keyboard smashing couldn’t outdo the sheer feeling that came with a successful real life spell. In some way, somehow, Elliot had been right, because while his best may very well have been someone else’s worst, he only had his best to consider in the future and in the past.
It was unfortunate that he was too busy avoiding a lesser version of Johnny Storm’s fate to let his think piece break apart the audience’s cognitive functions. He watched the fire whizz past him, again grateful for the fact that the fire fizzling away at the other redhead wouldn’t burn out so easily. If he could just manage to Will Telling a smug smile off one of them…

Robert sighed. He always felt useless whenever he skipped a round of spell casting, opting instead to pay extra attention to incoming attacks. He knew it was the best thing for him to do; he was already on fire in three separate places, and didn't really want to give his opponents an opportunity to add to the list. However, his logic couldn't stop the little whisper in the back of his mind that he should be doing something else.
Robert quickly came to appreciate his decision when he saw a piece of black cloth fly out of Elliot's wand with a scary velocity. He was able to easily dodge it, but he got the sense that if he'd tried to split his focus between dodging and casting a spell, it wouldn't have gone so well. At least this way he could see while he spent a round doing nothing.

Nicky was still burning but she had no teammate to extinguish the flame and no time to do it herself. She thought she was not going to hold on for much longer but she had to try and do her best, despite everything. She flashed another grin at Robert - it was strangely comforting to know at least one of the people who were still standing there.
"Thanks for the permission".
She had to keep going. For her team's sake.
