If round 1 had been a Slytherin success in predicting Ravenclaw, round 2 was a total turnaround.
Miss Elena, much like her previous round, took some moments to cast a perfect spell. Unfortunately for her, this time the moment she took to cast perfectly gave her opponents ample warning to sidestep the green sparks.
Where Miss Elena could be mistaken for being in class, taking her time to perfectly cast various spells, Miss Evans appeared to be in an action sequence.
Even with her feet spasming and twirling her about it, the Slytherin prefect managed to tap out of the path of a knockback jinx sent in her direction by Miss Langsreth, and attempting to cast a knockback jinx of her own. Alas, this was where Evans’s luck ran out. Just as the dancing feet was wearing off, a final ill-timed backflip – Ming was secretly impressed that people could even perform backflips – threw off Evans’s timing, her jinx backfiring on her instead. Evans managed to land on her feet, unable to swerve out of the way of Miss Barlowe’s attack.
A sneezing hex showed surprising creativity and initiative. It was not a commonly-used spell in duelling circuits, nor was it taught in normal classes. That Barlowe knew the spell – Ming himself had not had the time to master it – and remembered to use it to her advantage like this spoke well of her.
Ming had to keep a close eye on these potential Ravenclaw duelists.

Feet still flailing underneath her weight, unable to stop, but she had to continue. She saw Bea taking aim at her, yet again, and even though she was cutting a rug, she managed to avoid the brunt of the strike. She felt good, that was 2 good evidences in these 2 rounds. Her dancing feet began too slow, and Monica saw it as the perfect time to send a spell of her own across the battle grounds.
Taking care to aim her wand, and steady it while she was still dancing ever so slightly....but unfortunately her ability to cast was not yet perfected enough to do so while dancing about. Instead of sending forth a spell, it all backfired, sending her in the air.
Letting out a yelp, but somehow, managed to land on her feet. The dancing stopped, and she felt like she was in the clear, though a little worse for wear.
Before she could react to anything else though, a hex struck her, and Monica began to sneeze, losing all focus on the field...."Perfect, first dancing now this..." Monica thought to herself.
Too busy sneezing to see Pea taking her shot at the enemies, not able to see the spell, but able to see that to no avail did it hit. Thinking hard about what she would try next...Seemed this match was more than Monica had expected it to be.

It was all happening quickly, almost like a blur. All of the sudden, everyone pointed their wand at her partner. Monica. But as Monica point her wand at them, her spell backfired, knocking her back a few inches. Pea was shocked at the sight, not only that her spell failed to hit the target, but also at the sight of her teammate flying in the air and being knocked back by her own spell. Thankfully she manage to land on her two feet as her previous dancing jinx also slowed.
Honestly! She almost feels offended now. Why are they keep attacking her partner? Is she not good enough for them?? Pea furrowed her eyebrow and look at Monica who just got hit by her own spell. Ugh- Pea tries to stay positive about her partner but the sight was a little pathetic. Not to worry. Monica should get up to speed soon enough. For now, she is going to focus on her next move. If they keep focusing on Monica, then they would regret it later on. Facing the wrath of the white-haired full-blown, and that is not going to be pretty.
Pea looks at Monica again, eyes slightly widen, sort of telling her to get a hold of herself and get ready for the next attack. “You okay?” Pea looks at the blue-haired, wondering if she's still capable of continuing. Then, without realizing it, a spark of light hit her partner again- Pea grunts at the shock.
"I am really offended now~ am I really not good enough for you two~? hmm?" The white-haired says to the Ravenclaws with a sneer. Monica is sneezing horribly on her side while Pea looking at her with pity.
"Does someone have a tissue?" Pea said while rolling her eyes.

This round looked theirs for the taking. Bea grinned. Monica's wand seemed to have it out for the girl this round. Unlike last round, where Monica had Bea flying against the ground, she apparently wanted to see how it felt for herself. Luckily, she hadn't gone to the floor, instead flying up and landing on her feet again like a cat. Bea surmised that it was better than nothing, and to be honest, she didn't particularly want to see her friend go sprawling across the floor.
Between the numerous spells being cast, both successfully and unsuccessfully, Bea could see that both Slytherins were really quite shocked at how well the Claws were doing. Did they they this would be a whitewash? That they'd come in and easily take the win from Ravenclaw, no matter how official this duel was? Seriously!? The snakes had to give the birds more credit than that. Strategy was one of Bea's favourite thing to do, it was one of the main reasons she had applied for dueling in the first place. It just clicked in her brain.
Lowering her wand slightly, she grinned at Pea as she watched Monica from the corner of her eye. She could see that not focusing on Pea was getting under the girl's skin. With a twinkle in her eye, she replied, "Honestly? No."

@Beatrice Langstreth @Monica Evans @Pea Elena FowlThe smirk that came onto Adelaide's face couldn't be helped, caused by the fact that the Slytherin's prior cockiness seemed to backfire this round. The Ravenclaw was quickly able to evade Pea's spell, "Sorry, was that meant to hit me? Or did you mean to miss?" She asked condescendingly. Unfortunately, though, Bea's spell that she had sent Monica's way had missed, but apparently Monica had felt guilty about the spell missing because a split second later had Monica's own spell failing so bad that it had backfired onto the girl, sending her flying back, though she did manage to stay on her feet. Unfortunately.
Fortunately, though, she was not quick enough to evade the Sneezing Hex Adelaide had sent her way. The Slytherin Prefect was quickly sent into a sneezing frenzy and Adelaide pouted mockingly. "Oh dear, did you catch a cold? Need a tissue?" She asked in a faux innocent tone before turning her attention to Pea and raising a single eyebrow. "No, maybe you just aren't good enough." She sent a grin Bea's way, finding it amusing that they were pushing Pea's buttons so well. But enough taunting their teammates for now, they shouldn't get too cocky, the duel had only really just begun. They needed to focus if they really wanted to be able to taunt their opponents later.Action: As strategized

It seemed like the duelists were falling into the same old pattern: the Ravenclaws would focus their attacks on one person. Said person would try to dance out of the way of the attacks while the other Slytherin had free reign to try and bring down the Ravenclaws. Slytherin seemed to know just what to do.
And it was just this knowledge that the Raenclaws weaponised now. Miss Evans stood ready to move out of the way of any incoming spells, only none of the spells were aimed at her. As if by some unspoken signal, both the Ravenclaws had switched their targets.
Miss Barlowe shot green sparks directly at Elena, the sparks seemingly blinding the Slytherin girl, making the pale-haired Slytherin’s spell go wide. It left her perfectly vulnerable to a spell from the other Ravenclaw. However, even with the stage set as it was, Miss Langsreth’s knockback jinx went wide.
Ming exhaled sharply, but said nothing. It would not do to take sides. But what had caused the miss? Was it a momentary distraction, or a lapse in concentration? He did not have the time to sit and break this down, but it would have been useful to look back upon this at a later time. Preferablty with a notepad.
Not for the first time, Ming wished that video cameras could work in Hogwarts. It would certainly make his role much easier. Unfortunately, they did not work, and he’d only have to rely on his memory when making notes on the choices made in this duel.

Reading for the next round, Monica was so sure that attack would be coming for her, so griping tight to her want she prepared herself to doge anything coming her way. However to her surprise no target landed on her this round, instead all focus was on her partner Pea.
"Just perfect," Thinking to herself, while a sneeze escaped her once again, "Just when I was ready to..."
---- Ah Choo----
She found that even thinking to herself was incomplete due to the constant sneezing. She could only watch on as Pea was targeted by the two Ravenclaws. Adelaide cast first, sending a flash of green light that seemed to affect Pea's aim, her own spell missing its target completely. Looking over to Bea, Monica could see her taking advantage of the free target, preparing a spell, "Pea watch out!" Monica couldn't help but shout in between all the sneezing, fortunately, Bea seemed to be off her game, and her spell also found no target.
This round seemed like a stale mate, but as the sneezing started to slow for Monica, she started to scheme about what she wanted to do next. These birds were getting to cocky for her liking, and it was time to show them what Snakes were made of!

"No, maybe you just aren't good enough." says the taller blonde. Annoyed, the white-haired fake dramatic sob. "Oh how cruel you are Barlowe~" Pea moans, "but that was not a convincing snare, try again." Pea smiled slyly refusing to back down even knowing her spell just missed the blonde by a millimeter. Annoying. Those birds might be average looking, but she could not deny her skill, whether she likes it or not. They are adequate rivals. And that is a good thing, it is not fun if their skill in dueling would not be in the same level as hers, how boring is it if she overpowers them from the start?
Pea points her want again quickly, but Barlowe was quicker than her, possibly agitated by her response and a flash of green light shone unto her eyes, while the albino's spell misses. "URGGGHHHHH!" Pea screeches. "Pea watch out!" a familiar voice shouts from her partner as the bright green light still blinded her sight. With a simple reflection of her movement, she manages to dodge another coming attack from the shorter blonde. But that was perhaps just luck guiding her. Now the both of them are attacking Pea. How quaint~ but rude! the green spark spell was supposed to be theirs. The house of green. Now that is just unacceptable!
She would retaliate but she still see a bunch of spots and blur from the bright light.

It seemed both snakes were unprepared for the Ravenclaw's attacks. Which was even better! Bea grinned as Adelaide's spell hit, but by some luck or timing on the white-haired Slytherin, Bea's spell missed. Which was unfortunate to say the least. What a perfect combo it would have been, if both spells hit. All well. Bea looked to Monica, who by all accounts was still sneezing away off to the side. The next round would do, Bea mused. Both Slytherin's were now at a disadvantage, so it would hopefully be easier this next round.
With a glance at Monica, she could tell that both snakes were getting fed up with being the victims in this lovely little duel. She had on a slightly annoyed face, and Pea's was set to match her partners. How fun! Bea slightly grinned at Adelaide, the delight of the snakes misery evidently clear in Bea's eyes. She glanced at her partner, checking to make sure she was alright before Bea brought wand up for something else. It wouldn't do to be in this alone, and she was part of a team. They were a part of a team, and Bea was determined that they would win as one too.

@Beatrice LangstrethAdelaide did not deign to reply to Pea, not wanting to waste her focus on a snarky remark towards the Slytherin. Instead, she focused her concentration on her next move. It seemed Monica had thought wrong, thought the Ravenclaws were going to target her, except her and Bea seemed to have the same idea to target Pea. Her Verdimillious hit Pea, blinding the Slytherin in green sparks, which was honestly quite ironic. She couldn't help but smirk at the irony of it, and Pea's screech only increased the smirk on Adelaide's face. Luck was certainly on their side this round.
The smirk quickly disappeared though and was replaced instantaneously with a wince as the Knockback Jinx Bea sent Pea's way missed. Not to worry, they were still doing great. Whatever had caused Bea's miss, hopefully it was only a one time thing. Adelaide was confident that they could win this, if they didn't lose focus. She glanced at Bea, returning the girl's smile, her own eyes reflecting the same delight she saw in Bea's. They were at a great advantage right now, and they both knew it. Hopefully luck would stay on their side for the remaining rounds. Turning her attention back to the duel, Adelaide raised her wand once more.Action: As strategized
