Thank you Simon. Is there anything you recommend considering before I apply? Anything I should take into account? It's a very permanent decision, and since this site operates in real world time, it feels like I'd be messing up eight years, if three months for now I look back and decide this wasn't right for me.

Lol. Yeah, Anything that's earlier than 11am is too early for Kim.

Although lately he's been getting up much earlier. Now he's been able to get up at 10am on a regular basis and not feel bad. Occasionally he can get up at 9AM. But anything earlier than that he'll be a grouch and annoyed. Plus, he'll be really clumsy during those times too.

Gosh! Colin's up and running around by four or five!

You don't get abilities every year like those that are human, and you start with five less stat points. That can cause a bit of an annoyance when it comes to a sport. Still, in the long run it really doesn't matter and I enjoy the aspect of Simon discovering his vampire father and attempting to build a relationship with him. So for me, it's coming up with a creative backstory that was the draw to it, and it plays into his plot year by year. If I didn't have that, I'm not sure it would be worth it.

Of course, you can go back on it, there are tons of cool options out there for anything you'd like. I hope I am not making you feel like you are supposed to pick this race now, I am sorry if I caused that.

Also, hello @Bailey Glade, I indeed rarely pop in here. The days of me scouring the forums for every little new post are done sadly. And with Caradoc retired and looking for some peace of mind, I am definitely not looking into busy chatrooms every day :p

And @Noah Jupe, not sure what the rep of the giants is at Hogwarts these days. With one grumpily throwing boulders in the broomraces and the other giving free bear hugs in Hufflepuff, the spectrum is already wide between the two.

You're not Hugo, no worries. It seems like the best option out of all the abilities and races, I'm just not great at making decisions.

Simon, thank you for telling me all that, because I definitely didn't read through the fineprint carefully enough. I didn't realize I'd be three abilities short on top of five stat points.

Edit: off topic, but can someone use the word 'ignify' in a sentence? English isn't my first language, and the definition isn't making sense to me
