Camp '22 Summer Duelling Funtime Extravaganza, Match: 2

Round number only god knows what. Ronnie lost track of how many rounds were already in and how many should he played. All he knows is that he needs to stay up on his feet and perhaps win the whole match hopefully with Milosh by his side. As the end of the tournament got nearer and nearer Ronnie was not sure if taking a risky would work out.

But when Milosh told him what both of them need to do, Ronnie looked at the older Durmstrang like he had grown an extra head. "You sure that would work?"He asked the curly-haired boy. There is a fine line between fearless and stupidity and Ronnie was not the latter. And when he saw Phaedra making the movement for yet another fire-making spell, Ronnie need to one-up her.

With the correct incantation and wand movement, "Fumos!,"Ronnie cast. A thick fog emitted from his wand and blanketed the stage. It sure will be hard to target someone now, Ronnie smugly said to himself. But over and over time again, Phaedra proved Ronnie wrong. As Ronnie has done casting the smoke-screen spell, Phae also slings the fire-making spell that she split into two.

If Ronnie had the time and Phaedra wanted to share or teach Ronnie how to split a spell, Ronnie might chase her down. The older Ravenclaw might his opponent right now but Ronnie got nothing but admiration for the skill of the brilliant Duellist. Ronnie might seek out Phaedra if she was willing to.

But now, he needs to keep his focus and head in the game. As soon as Ronnie saw the tale-tell of fire, "Watch out!"He gave out a warning just in the nick of time. Under the thick fog that blanketed the remaining Duellists, Milosh managed to dodge Phaedra's incoming assault. "Thank god!"He spoke in Portuguese.

But Ronnie can not say the same thing happened to Aurelia. The older Gryffindor got the end of Phae's spell. "You think she gonna target her next round?"Ronnie inquired the older boy. It was hard to see how Aurelia doing due to the heavy Fumos that going on but the older girl does not seem to look so good.

If she got hit by a spell or two, she might be out next round and Ronnie only had one less problem to worry about. Then he feel his energy rejuvenated. "Did you heal me, mate? Thanks!"He stated to Milosh. "You are legit you know that right?"Ronnie added as he throw his dimpled smile at the boy.

"So, what is our next move, jefe read: heve = boss in Spanish?"The Castelobruxo student asked his Duelling partner while squinting his eyes to see the shadow of both Aurelia and Phaedra that was covered by the smoke-screen spell.

Well he felt like hell, but there were still a few more rounds to go. Although he could tell Ronnie was a bit hesitant at their plan, he went ahead with it. Seeing the boy cast a powerful fumos, a small sigh almost escaped him. Just as he had almost had another run in with fire. Seeing flames dart towards him through the smoke, he barely had time to react but Ronnie's senses were tingling and called him to duck just in time. That hit could've been the end of him. In a way to say thanks, Milo would in turn cast the comforting healing spell towards his teammate. Hearing his appreciation, and glad to not accidentally worsen him, the blonde would finally let out the sigh he had been holding in.

This round had gone far better than the last couple of rounds. The Fumos posed a shield almost, but then again he didn't want to doubt the two powerful duelists on the opposing teams. After all, they were still standing after how many rounds? Trying an attack at this rate was tricky, but was it worth it? The duel was coming to a close and so was his own stance in the duel. Out of the remaining duelists standing, it seemed he was in the worst position. But then again he did see the Gryffindor girl get the other half of the flames sent his way, unable to dodge in time. He glanced at Ronnie, still making out his partner through the clouds. What to do..

She reckoned Aurelia had gotten away easy enough, her light feet a deterrent in its own right. Not any longer. Using the girl’s sight-impaired state to her advantage, Phaedra suddenly changed strategy and delivered a first blow to the seniormost student. That ought to keep her busy. The split missed Milosh, but that was fine—their smokescreen would provide ample time to consider her next move.

ROUND 9

In Nessie's very humble opinion, the smokescreen was currently in control of the duel. She'd really been looking forward to seeing what the duellists would do, especially since they'd only have a few more chances to cast spells before the timer was up, but she couldn't see very well - and apparently neither could they. A clever tactic, but not the most exciting to observe, if you asked the young Hufflepuff.

Two duellists, Verona and Phaedra, moved to dodge. In Verona's case, there was no incoming spell to worry about, but Nessie supposed it was much better to be safe than sorry, especially considering that all the duellists present were impressive spell-casters, given the fact that two of their number had been eliminated already. Phaedra, however, was able to avoid Aurelia's well cast pressurized water charm.

Amidst the cover of the smoke and the distraction of the other duellists dodging, Milosh turned his wand on himself to heal, while the flames still burned away around Aurelia. Nessie turned her attention to the Gryffindor to ensure that she'd be capable to continue duelling. The fire seemed quite painful, and Nessie was quite uncomfortable just watching, but this was what she had volunteered to do as a co-captain, wasn't it?

She squinted through the smokescreen to try to see what the duellists would do next.

It was not conducive to success to cast in these conditions, thick smoke enveloping the stage and its competitors. Rather than try her luck while outnumbered regardless, Phaedra settled for more defensive measures, a staggering contrast with how aggressive she’d been so far. The duel’s end was nearing, and although there was reasonable doubt towards her likelihood of taking down another person, perhaps she could remain standing. That would be a small victory in its own right.

The round was rather lackluster. Although he didn't blame her fellow duelists for deciding to not casting in the current conditions. Instead of having to worry about others, he would focus on himself. Taking hold of it, he'd cast the healing spell this time on his own figure. The cool relief washing over him as the fire that had once tickled him had fizzled out. The duel was coming to an end shortly. Would they just wait it out at this point? They were in the clear for the fog unless their opponents wands decided to succeed even with the smoke.

Waving a cloud out of his face he'd make our Ronnie's makeshift face who was in a defensive roll position. It nearly made him laugh if his ribs didn't hurt still from the flipendo a few rounds prior. Time was ticking and so was his brain. Their next move was still undecided yet limited with the current circumstances.
