Nicky was scared. It was the first time she was left all alone out there, without a partner, without anybody by her side. But she had to be strong, she had to do this for Alec and for her house, make them proud of her, make them all happy. She could still win... Right?

Elliot would find himself a new target as he focused on the other Gryffindor. One was down; why not eliminate the team as a whole? Flipendo blitzed from his wand, striking Elsa in the chest as she sent her own wave of flames out at Dealla. Unfortunately for Elsa, her chest now hurt, and she missed the Ravenclaw, who seemed untouchable.

With Alec out, Ravenclaw needed a new person to bully, and it wouldn’t take them long to spot the following weakest link in the duel. Robert turned his wand on Manuela, who was still stuck in her own personal fire tornado hell. However, she would see the blazing blue flipendo rocketing her way and quickly get out of its way. Unfortunately, she didn’t see Dealla’s following closely behind its trajectory slightly different. With the flames eating at her skin and Dealla’s spell striking true, it would prove too much for the girl. The winds around Manuela would clear, though fire clung to her clothes. The force of Dealla’s spell made her stumble back before ultimately falling to the ground unconscious.

After the first one fell, the rest usually followed quickly thereafter in larger games. “HALT!” Santario called the duel to a stop once more as her swift footsteps carried to her Manuela. “Extinguo.” At this rate, Santario could probably call herself a firefighter, she mused, forcing herself not to smile as she waved in the medics. Once they were with the girl, Santario would again make her way back to her spot. “And then there were four… Continue.”

Well, that was fast, Robert couldn't help but think to himself. At this point there was really no questioning which individual team was in the lead. Both the Gryffindors and Guests had lost a player, while the Ravenclaws were barely scathed. However, Robert was still disappointed in himself for missing his target, even if it hadn't mattered much in the end. "Nice shot, Dee!" Robert exclaimed, forcefully brushing his own failure out of his mind to think about the positives. "Scratch what I just said, 2 down, 2 to go," he said to his partner with a grin.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm marvellous," she replied to Robert's inquiry. Also brilliant, quick on her feet, and so far in this duel, untouched. Silly question, that had been.

Once Santario signalled to resume, Dee's wand was pointed at Manuela. They'd taken a Gryffindor out first, seemed only fair to now give the guests the same treatment, and the girl truly didn't seem to be in very good shape anymore. From the corner of her eyes she saw a rush of flames coming at her, but she danced out of the way. Finally, honestly, how long had it been since someone had targeted her? It was almost insulting.

Safe from the fire, Dee resumed her own attack. Another spell that hit home, and Santario called for another pause. Grinning wildly, Dee twirled her wand around her thumb, then turned her wrist to relax it. The constant tension in a duel could get to her, and she didn't want to end up being stiff.

"Thank you," she hummed, satisfaction dripping off every word. "Yup, two more." Half the time was up, half their opponents knocked out, she'd say they were making good time. "Who should be next?" Pointing her wand between Elliot and Elsa, she started counting. "One, two, three, out goes he. My next spell, you will see. The next target, you shall be!" It left her pointing at Elliot, and she gave the boy a bright smile. "Ready?" Whether she was serious was hard to tell.

Nicky was trying really hard not to pay attention to anything that was not duel related. But even that wasn't helping. She was alone in a match against three other people and she didn't like her odds. However, she still had to fight like a lioness, even if it looked like she was a wounded one. She couldn't let her teammates and her house down, she had to stay strong and be brave, as usual, and make her friends proud of her.

Perhaps the time on the field was starting to weigh on the duellists, or maybe they were putting more effort into dodging than attacking. One could not really be sure which it was. Elliot either froze or chose to dodge but regardless of which one, he, like the rest, would remain unscathed by the wind and fire that came his way. Elsa was the perpetrator of the fire headed toward the foreign student, but she had to dodge her own wind and fire and missed her target. Robert had targeted Elsa missing her by inches. Dealla chose to do what she did best and split a Ventus, only it seemed the Ravenclaw's luck was running short now. Lady luck was a fickle creature, after all. A windstorm summoned from her wand split towards Elliot and Elsa, but they refused to split again and neither would trap their intended target.

@Dealla Prince
IT was very considerate of his sworn enemies to let him peacefully go through the grief of realising that he had nobody left to annoy. Sure, there were still three of the aforementioned sworn enemies on the field, but they just couldn’t fill the void left by his most esteemed teammate who spent half the match talking in a language he didn’t know and eye candy who spent most of his time in the tournament imitating a Californian forest during summer. Maybe life wasn’t just a glorified, delusory episode of Glee. Maybe it was a crossover, sponsored by Duolingo’s latest foray into violent marketing and Crossfit’s campaign for making all the wizard children swole and way too good at impromptu nursery rhymes. If only Prince had followed her evident passion for literature instead of making his path to victory take a few million loop-de-loops.

Feeling a bit safer in his current position, he began to speak with masterful articulation towards the girl, his linguistic prowess and lyrical expressions of emotion perhaps earning a tear from the eye of Homer himself. Beauty in its purest form. He scoffed. His genius was beyond this universe's realm. “Save your sonnets for Buckingham Palace, or, like, something.

Neither of their poetic boasts would come to fruition, however, as wind whooshed around him to thrash absolutely nobody and blasting fire danced around their targets like a dragon waiting for the bathroom to free up. Not even his most ardent admirers, who amounted to himself and about a hundred alternative accounts made for extolling himself further, could deny that he didn’t so much skillfully dodge the oncoming attacks as he did stumble into spaces wherein they happened to not hit. Certainly not the record-breaking move he was planning to pull out, but if it meant avoiding the Wheel of Ouchies (one he was kind of referencing as he went along, but that was just because he didn’t know enough about geometry to get past rectangles) these Britons had set up with the three options of flipping out, firing out, or magically farting out a weapon of destruction, he was going to take it.

Elliot sighed, willing the melodrama out of himself and into the very well vented air. This was not the end, he knew. The end to what, nobody knew. Not the end to the constant playing of Sue Sylvester’s “Super Bass” cover in his head as he tried to avoid Wimped Into A Flambe being written on his headstone was the best he could come up with.

Nicky escaped the Ravenclaw team's spells and narrowed her eyes at Robert, preparing for her next move.
"Was that payback for the autumn match? I've gotta say, your aim is quite good..."
She contemplated what she was going to do next. It was still three against one and she didn't like the odds at all.
"...just not good enough. Maybe if you ended up asking me to the ball after our last duel, you could learn some moves from me".
She grinned and thought that if she was going to lose, she was at least going to have fun and do her best. And distracting Robert would be a good strategy in her current situation.

Contrary to previous announcements, Dee decided to try her hand at spreading her spells again. After all, why choose one when you could have both?

Sadly, her focus was waning, or perhaps the golden sheen of luck around her had finally rubbed off, but neither of her two spells struck true, one closely missing Elsa the other one flying so far past Elliot that the boy probably didn't even have to dodge.

The pout on her face about missing her targets morphed into a bigger although much faker one when Elliot didn't show the appropriate awe at her admittedly terrible rhyming skills. She'd come up with it in about three seconds, cut the girl some slack. "No one appreciates me," she sighed, then adjusted her stance. Time to take better aim.

Robert frowned at the quite unexcited round. However, Nicky's comment quickly brought a smile back to his face. "Really, I could have learned something from you? When was the last time your spell hit either?" After thinking back, he realized it had actually been equally as long since he'd connected with his target, but he decided not to comment on that.

Robert couldn't help but chime in at his partner's lamentation either. "You're doing great Dee! I appreciate you! Whoooo!"
