The game had start anew. 2 teams, eight players, one goal (well, technically there were 6 goals). At the release of the quaffles, Monica and Reena raced towards the center of the pitch, eyes locked on their tickets to victory. Monica was able to arrive just a moment sooner, grabbing one quaffle before snatching a second just as Reena was reaching for it. With two hands free, though, Reena took the third quaffle and sped off. Monica didn't have much to worry about, as the opposing team's goals were completely unguarded. Where was Henry? Aly Salinger, however, was as focused as ever. In an attempt to out-wit the keeper, Reena put both hands on the ball, and then left from her broom as she propelled the quaffle forward with extra momentum. But the Ravenclaw keeper proved to be an impressive force, batting away the attempt as if it was nothing. And now Reena was... Falling. Oh no. June managed to squeak out in a nervous voice, "Umm.. 20 points to Pygmy Puff Riot!"ChasersReducio

Both beaters failed to post.
What was Henry doing? June watched as his speed went higher and higher, right as he was headed towards... "Are you kidding me?" June huffed quietly to herself. If people were going to cheat there were much, much better ways to do so. Luckily for Simon (Henry's obvious target), his seeker-senses had alerted him to the oncoming threat, and he nimbly dodged out of the way. "Alright, Knight, I saw that! You should know what to do by now."Keepers

Down by 30 points, this was not how Monica was going to let this game go. After finishing her lap, she adjusted her focus, honing in on her job in all of this... Scoring!
No more wasting time on revenge, or allowing her mind to be distracted from those around her. Everyone on this team had their roles, and hers was getting the quaffles and scoring points!
The round started, and Monica dove for the balls, managing to grab 2 of them with ease!
She took off for the rings, flying faster than she had thus far. The wind billowing through her hair, causing strands to brush over her eyes, but no hand available to push them aside, she had to resort to head tilting and praying the breeze would fix her vision impairment.
The air blocked out any sounds from the game going on around her as she wizzed through the air, her only point of interest was the rings.
Finally getting there, she found the defender was no where to be found. What luck!
Tossing both quaffles through the rings! 20 more points!
"Let's Go RIOTS!" She shouted, unable to contain her excitement!
When Monica turned to see what was happening on the field, she saw the opposing chaser falling from her broom, "What on earth happened there?" Monica wondered.
Then Monica saw why the rings were unprotected, Henry was making a bee-line for Simon, however Simon being the agile ninja he was, dodged the pursuit no issues what so ever, along with Henry getting a penalty lap.
"Yes Simon! Take that yeah bunch of Ducks!"
This was perfect, perhaps the next round would be easy goals also, as long as Monica was able to claim the quaffles.

The energy on the quidditch pitch was simultaneously high and low. Both teams were tired out, the game had gone on for about as long as a normal game played with double the players, and most of the students here weren't used to this level of continued activity and gameplay. But neither one was giving up, no. They would see this game through to the very end, win or lose.
Chasers and beaters flew across the pitch, quaffles and bludgers swung and grabbed and tossed about. Keepers kept their post steady, unwilling to let the other team score any more points than they already had. But June's eyes were solely focused on Simon and Cash, the ones who ultimately held the outcome of the game in their hands. Both had seemingly locked on to the Golden Snitch, as they were both racing across the sky in the same directions. Down, left, up, down again. June held her breath as one of the seekers pulled ahead of the other with a slight burst of speed, their arm stretched out as they dove downwards. And then... They stopped. Had they done it? Was the game over?
Sure enough, Simon Kincead held the Golden Snitch in his grasp. The game had finished.
June whistled loudly, her heart racing. "Kincead catches the snitch! 120 points to Pygmy Puff Riot! They win with one-hundred and sixty points, and the Mighty Ducks finish with fifty!" June watched as the players all came down to the ground, her eye lingering on Simon. He was a broom racer, wasn't he? The exhilaration June felt when she watched him dive for the game-winning catch was absolutely amazing. Perhaps quidditch wasn't the only sport she should try out...

The sun was beating now, only now was Monica noticing the heat of it. It seemed to be coming up a stale mate. No progress made from either side. Round after round, Monica did her best to claim quaffles, launching them into the opposing ring, but she could tell that the game was wearing on her quite a bit. Her throws were glorified tosses, most of the speed and distance coming from the fact she was flying through the air, but her arm did little to no additional impact to the power behind the throw. No wonder they were all being stopped by the keeper.
Luckily it seemed that the game was wearing on the Mighty Ducks, only dawning on Monica now that neither she, nor the other chaser, did much interference with each other the past little while.
Monica took some time, coasting on her broom, glancing up to see if Simon was making any progress.
Wait... where was he? And the other Seeker?
Monica darted her eyes around the sky, locating where they both gone off to, "Did they quit? Has it been that long?"
Then she saw them, wizzing threw the air, a small glint dazzling off the sun rays. THE SNITCH!
Monica watched with great anticipation, "GO SIMON! YOU GOT THIS!" She shouted out! It was a terrific chase, both flyers focused and poised on their brooms.
Monica swung around to keep her eyes on the action when...
June's whistle blew, and Simon held up the snitch.
Monica shouted out! And began to fly down to the ground, meeting up with her teammates, "Way to go Simon! Way to Go Pygmy Puffs!!!" She could hardly hold down her excitement! This is what she missed about sports, the teamwork, the battle, and the thrill when claiming victory!
"Good game Mighty Ducks, Was a mighty close game." Monica held out her head to anyone of the opposing team who would accept it.
Looking back at her own team, a smirk growing across her face, "So who are we taking on next?"

Well, let's not pretend we don't have lives people.
Well, it had been a far more exhausting match than George had ever thought it would be. Because of the spontaneity of the event, she had thought it would be too quick a match. She was wrong. Big time. Both sides had put up a fair fight. Meaning, in what kind of casual match do you re-staff a seeker and knock two players off their brooms? Things had gotten intense without anyone really planning it that way, and now no one on either team was planning to give up. The time for a truce had long since passed, and now there were two options left: win and celebrate, or pass out before that happened.
The pitch was in chaos. While, as always, June kept order and legality to the utmost, everyone was overly focused on the game, and in turn abstracted from everything around them. Gianna more than once asked herself where the HOLLY hell she was flying to, in the less philosophical sense of the word.
The rounds were taking too long, the new Migthy Ducks seeker had managed to get to her feet and now flew in Quinn's broomstick. Of course, that was a disadvantage, specially because in her place had fallen that girl, Delgado. Gia promised herself to get down on the floor once the game was over, not so much out of empathy as because she was still gnawing with curiosity.
And in further news, Knight still looked sore from the bludger hit. It was time to hit one of her shots, George thought bitterly, and there was certainly no such thing as "it was a close call" in her vocabulary. Yes, her bratty smile was back on her face, not to mention when Aly had recognised her shot. And then had come the most stressful moment of the whole blessed match.
Of all the times Simon had tried to see the snitch, that fiendish flying ball had chosen just THAT moment to make its presence known. Gianna had been overcome with giddiness from head to toe as she watched both seekers dive for the house of that tiny golden flash at the same time.
"Come on, Simon, you can do it." she whispered watching expectantly, completely forgetting that she had a job as a beater. "You need to do it."
And yes, he could. Monica's high-pitched scream was not enough to express all the relief Gia felt at that moment. She sighed instinctively and then, without further ado, let out a laugh and went to join Monica. The result really couldn't have been better. But she didn't want to celebrate for too long either; as much as she didn't want to admit it, that Root girl had left her hurting after the bludger.
"So who are we taking on next?"
Monica's words came as giddy and enthusiastic as at the beginning of the game, and Gianna could do nothing but laugh.
