Cure For Boils - Lesson One
The strange yet enticing aromas of various potions and the boiling sounds coming from different sizes and models of cauldrons were the first things that caught the raven-haired young witch's attention when she quietly entered the Potions classroom. Her orchid hues glanced back and forth, slightly impressed by those hundreds of jars arranged hazardly on every shelf, some containing ingredients that Regina had never seen before.
Soon realizing that she was attracting attention from a few students by lingering at the door, the girl wordlessly chose to sat down alone at a table furthest from everyone else, quickly taking out her Magical Drafts And Potions book alongside her own cauldron, a roll of parchment and her favourite bordeaux phoenix feather quill, setting them neatly across the table. Once Regina had settled down, she began keeping a keen visual and ears on her very first Potions lesson, her hand dipping the quill inside the small bottle of black ink and writing down notes from time to time. Even before enrolling in Hogwarts, hearing stories from her older siblings had allowed her to gain quite the interest in the said class. Regina's family believed she had a knack for mixing and creating things, a trait inherited from her deceased Grandfather, who was a Potions Master.
And of course, Regina's idol figure was no other one than Severus Snape, the man who was wronged by many, the man who lived as a villain and died as a hero. Needless to say, he was one of the reason she was looking forward to be qualified for Potions.
After the Professor had finished with introductions to the subject, it was time they began learning on how to make the Cure For Boils, a robust potion of powerful character that could remedy effectively against pustules, hives, boils and many other scrofulous conditions. Regina dipped the phoenix feather quill in the ink once more, writing down an important detail that should not be overlooked, emphasized the Professor.
"Okay, I think I've got it. Now, let's see the ingredients..." Regina muttered to herself, interestingly drawn in the lesson as she opened her book and search for the right page.
