As we are in different years, it is not easy for me to approach you and talk properly during weekdays. And I also wish for the matter I'm about to discuss with you to remain strictly confidential for obvious reasons, so it is better to write it out instead. I'm requesting you to be mindful and keep the the content in this letter a secret.
I've witnessed your duel alongside Kim during the summer. I can see you have a lot of potential to become even better, and coming from a proficient duellist such as myself, that is the highest of praise you shall receive. I do not particularly do this for just anybody, but I would like to offer you a bit of guidance to improve your spellwork as your mentor.

I've heard along the grapevine that you are quite the prodigy in Potions. From one prodigy to another (it should be evident in which field I am), I propose an equivalent exchange. I shall train you regularly during free periods and week-ends and even demonstrate all the spells you will be learning for second year. All I ask in return is you brew me some specific potions as payment whenever I come in need for them. You needn't know the reasons for why, but I assure you that I shall make sure you are not held accountable as an accomplice. Quite the lucrative deal, is it not?
If you agree, come to the abandoned toilets on the second floor after curfew with your cauldron, some empty vials and the ingredients for a Befuddlement Draught. Make sure you don't get caught.

First things first, I'd like to cler clarify. I'm Sophia Nelson. I'm a second year student in Ravenclaw with blue hair. A friend of Kim's? I just wanted to make sure you got the right person.
I'm seriously flattered that you think that of my dueling. I gotta admit, I'm not very confident at all. Kim and Gem - uh, I don't think you know her? - helped me a lot last year. I went from not being able to cast a single Lumos to what you saw this summer. I worked hard, so I apreci appreciate the kind words.
I also appreciate your words about my potion-brewing. I don't like to brag, so I'm sorry if this sounds braggish, but it's one of the few things I'm actually good at.

Absolutely. Some dueling training in exca exchange for some potions sounds like a fair deal. Some of the herbs might be a pain to find, but I can make it happen. Just don't ask where I found them, please.
