Another round of spells were exchanged, and half the duellists were now on fire. If Nessie had been worried about them before, she was certainly even more worried now.
And for good reason: Cade's own attempt at Incendio Duo had missed, but in a great show of teamwork both guests had targeted him. Another impeccable Knockback Jinx from Verona met its mark, hitting Cade, and in an ironic twist it was an Incendio Duo - the very spell Cade had just cast - from Milosh that struck as well.
Phaedra ensured that the guest team did not escape their onslaught unpunished, with her own Incendio Duo splitting to hit Milosh, as well as Gryffindor's Rose, who was just getting up after being knocked down in the previous round of spells. Aurelia attempted a fierce defense, although it didn't look like her Shield Charm had been cast correctly. No spells came Aurelia's way, so the error did not cause any immediate harm.
With Milo, Rose, and Cade all struck by fire, Nessie observed closely. Two of the three looked fit to keep duelling, but Cade had fallen. Nessie had really hoped no duelists would go down on her watch, but it seemed her hopes hadn't worked out. "Hold on," Nessie instructed the others, before signalling for help, so new to her captaining position that she didn't want to risk the boy's safety on her own rescue attempts. Once Cade was out of harm's way and off to receive medical attention, the young Hufflepuff indicated that the duel could continue, although she looked visibly shaken. The duel's youngest competitor - who was still older than she was - had been the first to go down. What exactly had Nessie signed herself up for in joining the duelling team?!

"Pheonix feather," She answered, right before casting the shield charm. The wand movement and incantation correct, yet the sheen around her only flickering before dispersing. Again, her wand warming up uncomfortably in protest."A very stubborn one." The gryffindor grumbled. Rose stood up, her willpower to persevere on after all she endured was truly remarkable. But as soon as she was on her feet, the flames roared in every which direction. Phaedra delivering two fireballs, one of which directed at her teammate.
As Milo had played with fire again, he paid his debts for it. Phaedra serving it right back at him in a sliver platter. But Phaedra herself played with fire, Aurelia only wondered the number of times she'd used the spell as a veteran duellist. Indeed, this was the nature of duels, but it was incredibly cruel. And to think the younger Ravenclaw was about to cast the same spell at her teammate. Now he laid unconscious as the hungry flames devoured into flesh and skin. Hopefully, the Ravenclaw would never use the spell on anyone else.
The smell...was retchedly sweet but nausating, hit her nose in an inevitable invasion. She raised a fist to her mouth almost instinctually, letting out a noise between a cough and a gag. The sound was exactly akin to the sizziling of barbeque or bacon on a pan, was so, so sickening. "Merlin," She muttered as her eyes watered from the assault of smoke. It was obvious she really wasn't very experienced on the duelling stage. On all three sides of the stage, was a body burning.

Things was not looking so great for the older Durmstrang boy. Not only Milosh had been hit by Knockback Jinx in the previous round because the older Ravenclaw used the Shield Charm on herself and thus it rebound back to Milosh, but now the Durmstrang student was being burned up by the same person.
It seems Milosh was not the only one being burned up by Phae's Spell Spread. Rose also had the same fate as his Duelling partner. During his Duelling career, Ronnie had never been burned up before and he prayed to whoever was high above, it never change and will stay that way. The smell of burning flesh near him almost made him gag out but Ronnie pushed it aside.
The Portuguese boy wanted to ask the Russian boy if he was alright or not but at this point, the question sound dumb since clearly, Milosh was not alright. Nobody wanted to be burned alive. Ronnie took a deep breath and the smell of flesh licked up by fire entered his smelling sense. Still, Ronnie pushed aside his discomfort and strategized with the other boy.
Once both of them agree on who they should take down next, Ronnie nodded his head. Ronnie took pity on Rose by giving her a moment to breathe and not targeting her this round. With a signal for Milosh, Ronnie pointed his wand toward his next victim target. First, it was Milosh who targeted Cade with his own Incendio Duo and his aim is true.
"Flipendo!"Ronnie said as a jet of light emitted from his wand and hit Cade perfectly. Perhaps it was a vicious attack on the younger Ravenclaw but Ronnie makes a promise to himself to give the best of his ability and to give all of his in this Duelling tournament. It was like rubbing salt into the wound. After Milosh's spell hit his mark, Ronnie's own spell is not so far behind the older Durmstrang boy.
And thus as result, Cade was out of the game. One down, three to go Ronnie thought to himself. Nessie was stopping the game for a brief moment so Cade could get the aid he needs and once Cade was out of the Duelling piste, the game continue. Now, since Auri, Rose, and Phae are left standing, Ronnie needs to be smart about it.
His blue-grey eyes bounce from one Hogwartians to the next. "We need to disable one of them even for just a brief moment,"Ronnie stood beside Milosh, whispered to him, and looked to where both Aurelia and Phaedra stood. "Any suggestions?"He asked while still thinking about what spell he will cast for the next round and hopefully his Duelling partner still standing until the very last round.

This was just getting worse and worse. Rose hauled herself to her feet, determined to keep going. But it wasn't long before Phaedra's wand emitted three spells- three fire spells. One towards one of the international students. One towards her own partner, causing him to collapse. Rose felt a pang of sympathy. He was the youngest duelist there, after all. It wasn't entirely illogical for one to predict that he would be the first to go. But by your own partner's wand? That just sucked.
And the third raced towards Rose. Two fire-making spells, in fact. One from each of the Ravenclaws. She had barely gotten to her feet when she dodged one, though the other connected and she was on fire again.
The redhead froze as the duel paused so that Cade could be carried away. Cade wasn't a bad duelist, just not as experienced and targeted way more.
She could feel weakness tugging at her senses, telling her to sit down, to put her head in her hands and quit.
Push through, she told herself. Rose would rather be knocked out standing and burning than dip out of the duel now.

@Aurelia Notresvace @Cade DarkboundPhaedra never had any intention to uphold her end. “What a shame. Dragon heartstring, myself,” she lied, figuring that said core was close enough in temperament to the real thing. It wasn’t some Ministry secret, but the duel was still ongoing and she would not grant any perceived intel to those with no business having it. Aurelia’s answer was too taken with a grain of salt, but from the look of things, there may have been some truth to it. Phoenix feather was a notorious beast to tame. The fact that she’d managed, with a few hiccups here and there, only made Phaedra stand taller in her competency.
And then that confidence wavered to the sound of collapsing beside her. Alarmed, Phaedra spun to see Cade sprawled about and smoldering. Dammit. She wordlessly followed the smoke's trajectory, foreign boys having passed over the easy target that was Rose to take advantage of their distraction. That was rather devious, she decided, taking aim. Splitting her spell once more, Incendio Duo fired towards the boy with the runny mouth, setting him ablaze and Rose as well. It wouldn't change the fact that she was now alone, but it was a start. Phaedra weighed her options, prepared to play defensively if need be.Doing as strategized (x)

The blonde boy would survey the grounds again. Several spells got flung around, some at the younger Ravenclaw boy and some at the younger Gryffindor girl. His spell went towards the first option rather than the later. A jet of flames emerged from the end of his wand tip and engulfed the boy. Shortly after being hit by the flames, he caught his partner's strong Flipendo.
After the cast, the boy remained down having fallen unconscious. The match moderator came out and took him off the playing field and Milo nodded his head once in acknowledgement. The boy had played well.
Before anything else happened, Milo felt a lapping at his arm. The pain grew intense rather quickly. He glanced down to see flames licking at his skin, an intense burn overcoming him. Had he not been watching the other casters? He thought he was safe for one round, but apparently he was wrong.
Milo took a sharp inhale, determined not to cry out. It was evident, more spells were going to be casted his way especially now that a duelist was out due to his and Ronnie's spells. He'd close his eyes, letting the heat trap him, the flames taunting his clothing and skin as they raged on, destroying everything in its path.
"Just a little longer.. Ronnie I'm sorry if I've failed you this far, but I'll try my best to keep standing until the end." The Durmstang boy momentarily lowerd his wand and changed his tense position to look at his dueling partner. His tough wall had broken and you could see the noticeable pain through the look of determination on his face.
Shaking his thoughts, Milo would collect himself. With a nod of affirmation on their next moves, he turned back, took a deep breath and waited until he was allowed to cast.

The duel was reaching its midpoint, and Nessie was growing more and more uneasy with what she observed. If this was half a duel, did she really want to see a whole duel?
However, her opinions were of no consequence. The safety of these duellists was her responsibility, and she was determined to follow through, if only so nothing bad happened to them. Was it too late for that? She supposed she'd just have to hope for nothing worse than what she'd already seen.
The duellists seemed aware of the dangers of all of the fires, with three of the remaining five raising their wands to heal. Milosh looked better than he had before the flames, although the fire certainly looked painful to Nessie. Rose looked rejuvenated as well with a nice healing charm, even despite the sting of another one of Aurelia's spells gone wrong, this time another attempt to heal. Nessie was starting to wonder if the elder Gryffindor might be cursed, given how many of her spells were going awry.
That left only two duellists going on the offensive, with Verona's disarming charm going in Phaedra's direction. Nessie thought the spell looked quite good, but Phaedra was faster, staying out of the way and holding onto her wand. Phaedra cast more fire, and Nessie was both amazed and horrified to see multiple targets once more. Milosh was lucky to stay out of the way, but Rose was hit again.
Just when it had looked as though Rose's flames would go out soon, she was just as aflame as Nessie had ever seen her. Nessie wished - as she did for all duellists - that Rose could fight through it and continue, but it seemed too much for the Gryffindor. "One moment please!" Nessie called out to the others, waving over help to ensure that the medical staff would assist Rose as soon as possible.
Four duellists remained. "You may continue," the little Hufflepuff hesitantly told them - although she almost wished she didn't have to, as she still naively hoped she wouldn't have to watch anyone else go down in flames.

@Aurelia NotresvaceSide-stepping Verona’s spell, Phaedra shot again towards her usual targets. It only made sense to keep at it while they were wounded—easing up, although merciful, would only come to backfire and ruin Ravenclaw’s progress. On that note, she could not help but perk a brow at Aurelia’s repeated failure to support her teammate throughout the flames. This was starting to seem less like the core personality itself, and more like malfunctioning altogether. “Are you certain your wand is not merely…broken?” The pause to remove Rose seemed like as good an opportunity as any to ask.Doing as strategized (x)
