Summer Duelling Funtime Extravaganza, Match: 4

Dylan was happy as his spell hit his target. He wanted to win this duel and be the only one standing along with his team member. He was not sure what else he could do to help his team out. He wanted to do what was right and win the match doing the right thing.

@-----House Colours: HufflepuffThe next few seconds were a blur of movement that Piérre couldn't help but be enthralled by. There was a twin cry of the fire spells even as he began the first syllable of his own spell.
Before he could finish, both fire charms engulfed him,
It would not be the first time that Piérre had been burned before. Surely every child had experienced the feeling of touching a hot stove or had gotten a bit too close to a campfire and gotten reprimanded with swiftness for their folly.
Piérre had never once tried to jump headfirst into flames, though, and he had never once been lit on fire.
So when both fire charms scorched across his clothes, eating away at the yellow t-shirt and searing the suspender straps, charring skin and pushing towards his chest and head, Piérre was rightfully terrified by the sudden pain that accompanied his inability to evade the obvious danger.
It was strange, though... he hardly felt the pain. It was a tingling sensation, even as internally he knew that he was being barbecued alive.
All that would escape him was a small; “Oh...!”, and then a small tear as he bit his lower lip and squeezed his eyes shut in a meagre attempt to block out the pain. He started to shiver a bit, not entirely sure how to register the pain properly, his hand shaking as he tried to muster his next spell.
God, it hurt so much.

Callie couldn’t help but feel she was living on borrowed time in this duel. It wasn’t a feeling she particularly enjoyed but found herself forced to endure nonetheless. Perhaps it was the sheer scale of the duel in comparison to her prior experiences or the onlooking crowd. Either way it was mildly overwhelming..until she remembered that she could consume an ungodly amount of sugar once this whole ordeal was over. That made everything okay.

Ooc: Apologies for a lack of coding. I am typing this from my phone.
Felix had finally managed to hit someone with a spell and— that person started to promptly cry. Dammit, why did he have to go and do that? Didn’t he know it was all just a game?
He bit down on his lower lip and tried to focus on his next move. He would just have to check on the Romeo lookalike after the game.

Bea watched as Callie's spell hit their target whislt hers failed. Damn it! Just as they were getting going, Bea failed. She huffed put a breath, tucking a curl behind her ear. One of the gruffindors came under fire, quite literally this round, and Bea winced. She turned to Callie, clocking a smile at her. "At least we aren't the only ones being targeted."

For some reason, Everly froze up. She didn’t know why, but for a moment there, her brain stopped working and she couldn’t think. In an instant, two Incendio Duos would hit Pierre in two different places, the fires spreading quickly. She winced, knowing how it felt. Everly wouldn’t freeze up again—at least she hoped.action: as strategized

The next set of actions confused the boy forced to moderate the duel, though he could admit it did move the game forward quite a bit.
On one end, Dylan could be seen trying to summon a magical shield in front of himself. To protect himself from... something. The air? Maybe a scary insect. However, he probably misjudged his ability to do so as he was only experienced enough to cast a puff of white smoke in front of his face.
Good thing no one was attacking him, then.
His partner, Felix, on the other hand, made himself useful and yelled out such a clear, concise, powerful Flipendo that the audience could see the air rippling as the attack zoomed at sonic speeds towards its target.
It was none other than Callie who was the unfortunate target of the impeccably cast spell. The Ravenclaw was only just about able to let out her own Knockback Jinx (one last successful swan song, it seemed as it found its target), before being smacked in the chest by a great force, flipping her unceremoniously onto the ground. After a few seconds of non-motion, a frantic team of medics swarmed from the stands to attend to her unconscious form.
Determined to avenge her teammate, Beatrice cast her version of a Flipendo, but the pressure of being the only one left to represent their team as well as due to the stress of all the things happening in the duel, her spell never met its mark.
She wasn't the only one overwhelmed, too. Everly apparently let the duel get to her as she fumbled her wand in her hesitation. The Hogwarts moderator couldn't tell if she was able to cast anything that time. Her partner, Pierre, took to caring for his wounds with a Reparifors, but the flames eating at his clothes and skin made sure he was worse for wear at the end of it rather than better.
Overall, a lot of things went wrong—and maybe quite a few that turned out right. But one thing is for sure, Ravenclaw—out of all the teams—has a lot to make up for if they still wanted to survive til the end.

Dylan had tried to cast a spell but he had failed as he didn't have the capability to cast it. It was something that would have protected him. But now he could focus on his team. He wanted to help his team out and be a good team player. He also wanted to help his partner but he was not sure what he could do about it at the moment. He was a team player and it felt bad that he was just thinking about himself.

After failing so many times, it felt good to be able to cast a flawless spell. Felix did know the pain a flipendo to the chest could cause, but at least the girl was knocked out quickly. The flames he had hit the other student with would burn much longer, possibly dealing more pain for its victim. To be knocked out with a flippendo was a mercy.
He thought he was perhaps done for when the force of one hit him as well, but luckily he still had enough juice left in him to stand up, awake to cast for at least one more round.

She’d meant to do something, anything, and yet her nerves would still get the best of her. Everly gritted her teeth, reminding herself to focus—she couldn’t afford to get distracted now.
Jensen had gone down quickly with a rather powerful Flipendo to the chest, and there were still remnants of the fires scattered over Pierre’s robsed. Everly winced. At least it was one less opponent, right?action: as strategized
